My bluetooth adapter won't connect to my bluetooth headset

Q: My bluetooth adapter won't connect to my bluetooth headset

Hi !!
I am having a bluetooth adapter installed on my PC. Now I wanted to connect my Samsung HM1100 headset with it. It paired and everything but during installation of driver it says "NO DRIVER FOUND". I have tried too many times and I have also installed a bluetooth driver "SILICON WAVE BLUETOOTH DRIVER".
Actually its a dongle I'm having. So it didn't require any drivers but it won't connect to my bluetooth headset.
Help will be appreciated.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I recently installed the latest version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (v9.10.32T) for one of my desired applications to properly function. However, connecting my Bluetooth headphones through Toshiba's bluetooth manager does not seem to support the media buttons on the headset. These include Play/Pause and seek buttons. Before the Bluetooth stack, when I used my default bluetooth driver for connection, these controls had worked fine.

Also, there does not seem to be a specific setting to fix this in the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Options.
How would I go about getting these controls back?

I'm having problems connecting a nokia headset to a laptop via bluetooth. The laptop can see the headset, but when I click on it, then click connect it says that the headset is trying to connect to the pc and requires a pin (which I don't have). Any ideas how to fix this?

I have a bluetooth dongle from 'Enter Peripherals' . Specifications read that it works with win7 (no mention of the bit though 32 or 64?)
I have sony vaio all in one computer (Model VPCJ113FX/B) and I want to connect my nokia headset, model BH-503.
I have tried various options :
1 - I have connected the blue tooth device with usb.
2 - I have changed the computer in discoverable mode
3 - I have checked the device manager and bluetooth dongle is appearing without any issues.
Just to add, the headset is fully charged and after pressing it for few seconds once the blue light starts blinking, i try to connect it with my computer. the headset doesn't appear despite using 'add device' in the bluetooth window. my computer is able to detect other bluetooth networks though.

Pls help

A:Can't Connect Bluetooth Headset - Nokia BH-503.

Was this bluetooth headset ever paired with any othe device (like a cell phone)?

If yes, then you need to reset the bluetooth headset so it can release the existing pairing with the cellphone. Then try to connect it to the PC.

Is there any way to ease the process of connecting to a bluetooth headset? I have already paired it and it works fine, but when I restart my computer I have to go through the process of connecting to it again(including inputting the code) before I can use it.

I'm using Window 7's default bluetooth set-up.

A:Automatically connect to bluetooth headset?

I've got a similar problem in that my Plantronics Voyager 510 connects fine until I close the "Bluetooth Headset Operations and Settings" window (this is the one with the little diagram of the Blurtooth network and where you connect/disconnect the Bluetooth device) - at that point the connection to the Plantronics headset is dropped. This behaviour strikes me as totally illogical, but I don't know whether I'm doing something wrong or it is a bug that will get solved one day. Does anyone have any idea whether its a feature or a bug? Please see the attached picture for the window I'm talking about.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a Dell XPS 420 with built in Bluetooth adaptor.

I have ASUS N751JK (Win 8.1) and I'm trying to connect Philips SHB7150FB to it via Bluetooth and it doesn't work.

Latest drivers from ASUS installed, headset is charged and on (blue light is flashing).

PC can not find any Bluetooth devices around, so I blame PC, probably hardware/drivers?

(or I'm an idiot and missing something obvious)

Any help is appreciated

I've just installed a new Win7 Pro 64 on newly assembled PC (i3-6300, B150 chipset - if it's important), but can not connect BT headset to it. Installed gazillion of updates, installed latest drivers (BT dongle - ASUS USB-BT400) from Broadcom site -- and I can't connect my BT headset to it. It pairs w/out a problem, but once paired and I right-click mouse on it (in BT devices) - there is no Services in the menu, and - as a result - no way to connect. (The attached image is from my laptop, where it works).

BT mouse that I have connects and works fine.

Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum - please, move to the appropriate one, if needed.

A:Cannot connect paired bluetooth headset (+)

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
That is sort of one of the perks of KB3172605

Known issues in this update

Issue 1

After you install KB 3133977, the software for Intel Bluetooth devices may not be fully functional because of existing software issues in the Intel Bluetooth driver software. These issues may affect Bluetooth keyboards, mice, audio streaming devices, and voice headsets. You may also not be able to pair new Bluetooth devices. Intel is currently working on an update to address their software incompatibilities.

If you require Intel Bluetooth support on Windows 7 before the revised software is available, the only known workaround at this time is to uninstall this update temporarily and then reinstall it after Intel has updated their software.

I have a surface pro 4, fully updated. I also have a pair of Revo bluetooth headphones. They also feature blutetooth calling capabilities (i.e. microphone).

I used to connect these without a problem. Recently something strange has been happening. Now when they connect on the headphones (i.e. stereo audio only) is recognized as an audio device.

Normally Windows recognizes headsets like this as two separate devices - headphones for audio and headsets for calling. I can confirm that device manager sees them both as functioning normally. But, as shown below, the headset portion is showing as disconnected. But there is no way to connect it.

I have uninstalled and deleted the device and re-paired it. Nothing works. Thoughts?

A:Bluetooth headphones connect but headset portion does not

I have the exact same problem with my Bluebuds X

I have tried to manually add a driver through windows driver update (you can choose a driver device from the list)
but i'm not sure which one is compatible and had no luck getting the headset portion to work...
Please let me know if you have found a solution!

I just got a new computer, Alienware MX14 windows 7 home premium.
It has built in Bluetooth, I have added my headset to the computer. But I can't find a "connect" or "pair" button anywhere. I have tried disabling and re-enabling the features of the headset, through its properties tab.
I had this headset working with my old computer, which before I got my new computer, was upgraded to windows 7. I was using a USB connected Bluetooth adapter, and there was a connect button when I right clicked it on the Bluetooth window.
The Headset I'm using is a Insignia Bluetooth Enabled Headset NS-BTHDST. It doesn't have any connect buttons. It just has volume and power buttons.
I'd like some suggestions on getting this to work...

A:My new Windows 7 Alienware won't connect to my old bluetooth headset.

This is not actually a "sound/audio" problem but some type of connectivity issue.

Dell has a forum just for Alienware customers for user helping user support (like this forum). That would be the best place to start since there are many users there with Alienware specific knowledge.

A:Cant connect bluetooth headset to Windows 7 laptop..

But Im using a Dell D630 Laptop running Windows 7 Enterprise with the Dell 355 Bt adapter.

I've also had trouble getting it to connect. I used to have to force it to connect in XP. So I tried everything I can think of to force it in Win7 through the bluetooth settings dialog, and using the headset itself. Randomly it would work.

Eventually I found that if the headset is turned off, the computer rebooted, and the headset turned on, they just connect automatically without me doing anything. Which was great till something (like my cellphone) connected to the headset and then I couldn't get the headset to reconnect otthe laptop with out rebooting. Yuck!

Anyway this rebooting thing gave me an idea... What I do now, is right click on the bluetooth icon in the tray and turn off the bluetooth device in the computer. Then I power off the headset. Then I re-enable the bluetooth in the same menu. Lastly I power on the headset, and it pretty much works all the time - Though I had one time when it connected but I had no sound.

I love this headset with Win7 much better than with XP, the play pause, track forward/back even control WinAMP! It's cool!

Connecting used to be such a pain, I used to just load my music on my phone and listen from there. but now I can get my music, games, web audio etc. all ,mixed through the same headset. And it still switches to my phone when calls come in and returns to the computer when they're done. It's great!

I feel like I've finally got it working the way it's supposed to. Until today the only thing I found annoying was trying to switch Win7 back and forth between the BT headset and the built-in sound card. (I found this question while googling for that.)

I'd still like to find a sidebar gadget to switch that back and forth, but I found that right clicking the volume icon in the stem tray will allow you pop up the audio output device selection dialog directly (without drilling through start->control panel->etc.) It's not the best but it's usable.

I'd like to make a desktop shortcut to connect my computer's audio to my Jaybird Freedom BT headset. Right now, I have to go through several windows to get to a "connect" button, when it really should just be a double-click on a "connect" shortcut .

So far, my google searches have only turned up instructions on how to make a shortcut to "Bluetooth Devices" window, that shows your paired devices but does not have a "connect" option for them. So for my purposes that shortcut is useless.

If you know how to make a connect shortcut or have a link with instructions, I would appreciate it.

Also, I realize that what I want may not be possible. If that is the case, I hope Microsoft is reading this post and interprets it as a "feature request"

Hello I have an issue with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter Bluetooth LIT Adapter's USB Is Bluetooth OFF? Light IS When Blue - Version Class Smart Ready Adapter Model No MUA-BA Let me explain Okay I have setup my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter with the drivers for my Windows operating system USB Bluetooth Adapter's Blue Light IS LIT When Bluetooth Is OFF? Now when I plug this USB Bluetooth adapter into my USB port connector on my desktop computer it automatically lights up with a blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter itself and on my Windows system tray notification area I get the Bluetooth icon displayed as ON Then I go ahead and pair the computer and my device s example a Smartphone to connect which they do successfully When I am done using the Bluetooth technology I disconnect the Bluetooth connection from each device and then instead of leaving your USB Bluetooth adapter ON with my Windows operating system I go into my Windows system tray notification area and select Turn Adapter OFF I then get the red Bluetooth icon in my Windows system tray notification area demonstrating that my Bluetooth is indeed OFF and the Bluetooth blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter goes OFF or is not lit any longer Okay so far so good everything is normal However when I shutdown my Windows operating system and then restart the computer at some later point I notice that the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter still shows on my Windows system tray notification area as OFF okay normal BUT THE BLUE LIGHT ON THE MEDIA LINK USB BLUETOOTH ADAPTER IS NOW ON The only way I can turn off the blue light on the USB Bluetooth adapter is to manually go through the Windows system tray notification area turn ON the Bluetooth technology and then promptly turn back OFF the Bluetooth technology in order for the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light to go OFF again I find this to be a real pain and chore each time to have to go through these manual steps to turn OFF that Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light when the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light SHOULD BE OFF TO BEGIN WITH I would assume after the system re- start and leaving the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter plugged into the USB port connector on my desktop computer if the Bluetooth technology is indeed OFF as set with the Windows operating system settings then the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light should be OFF as well BUT IT IS NOT I have no intention of consistently plugging in and out the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter when I plan on using it or not but instead leaving the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter always plugged into the my USB port connector on my desktop computer at all times and using the Windows system tray notification area s Bluetooth icon to turn ON and OFF the Bluetooth technology when needed I have contacted Medialink Mediabridge and they have informed me the rationale for this issue quot The only reason the light would be lit is if the bus power from that USB port was running I they looked for ways to manage the bus power settings of the USB host but was unable to find anywhere in the Control Panel that would allow you to adjust that particular setting quot Makes perfect sense to me that the bus power for the USB port is ALWAYS RUNNING and the computer starts the USB ports are powered and therefore the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter is always lit at system start until I turn off the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter via Window 's system tray notification area Specifically the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter is connected to one of the USB ports on the front of my desktop computer The front desktop USB port connects to one of the USB pin connectors on my ASUS P Q motherboard Further I have an OLDER ASUS P Q motherboard that does NOT support Bluetooth as part of its BIOS settings -- PRE-Bluetooth capability Therefore I installed the software on my Windows Professional -bit and drivers that came with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapt... A:bluetooth headset

It is possible that the pairing has been corrupt. I would consider deleting the current pairing and then try to repair it to the phone. If that does not work you can try to pair it to a different bluetooth if you had a spare or possibly a friends. If it connects then it is a good chance it is a defective bluetooth.

I'm running win 8.1 and want to use a bluetooth headset. I'vs been searching for a day already for solutions in vain. Let me explain the scenario.
I have Dell Vostro 3460 notebook with Win 8.1 Core 64 bit on it. I have bluetooth enabled, I can connect to bluetooth devices (phone). My headset is a noname one but it still works on other machines (works with phone, works with Ubuntu).
In windows I can pair the headset but that's as far as it goes. I cannot select it as audio output device. I learned that for it to work I need to have an "audio sink" serviceat the bluetooth device. Unfortunately the only service my driver shows is "handsfree" (transleted, not sure if this is the proper english name).
I tried updating bluetooth drivers (various) but none of them made any difference.
Can anybody help me in getting this working?

If it's not then may I ask if anyone has success on doing so?

I am able to pair it but the option to use pc as bluetooth headset isn't exist.

I have a SONY MDRZX770BT Bluetooth Headset which I am trying to pair with my Dell OMNIPLEX AIO PC. All seems to go well, until I bring up the 'SOUND' screen from Control Panel. The headset, which was reported as successfully added, and ready to use, does not appear on the screen of playback devices.
All related BT and sound devices on Device Manager are shown as working properly, and the headset appears on the Devices and Printer screen. I also checked that all BT Services are running.
I was able to install, and use, the headset on my wife's computer, so it is not a defective device.
I checked the SONY web site for possible driver updates, and no downloads are avaiable for this device.
Also, I had a previous (Philips) BT headset working on this PC, so the BT software seemsOK.,.
What have I overlooked?

Apparently the range is short.

There is a youtube video supposedly showing you how to increase the range. I found it puzzling. There is no dialog nor onscreen captions. The guy has a tape measure and a Samsung phone. I have no idea what he is doing.

Your best bet would be to disable the weak onboard bluetooth and buy a USB bluetooth dongle.

For Bluetooth headsets, you normally need too install the driver and software that comes with the headset. If windows update is having a tough time finding drivers, try visiting the manufacturer website. After you install, use the software to manage pairing, then configure the sound output properly and it should work fine.

Seems like I'm having similar issues to others here after a quick search. The one page I've found that said it had answers has a link that comes back saying I cannot access it.

I have a Jawbone Prime that I wish to use with vent and skype but cannot get the bluetooth device peripheral driver to install. I have attempted using the Broadcom software linked in most posts but it does not do anything but remain on the searching for devices page. I've also attempted to use the Asus software that is recommended in some posts but although it installs only provides me with a small window saying there is no bluetooth device present.

The computer finds the headset, but I cannot get it working. Can someone help me?

Hi all,

I just got my Bluetooth headset I had been waiting for...the Plantronics Discovery DSP 645. Paired it w/ my Treo and Thinkpad T60p. Everything worked great except when it came to the driver(s?).

I run Vista Ultimate x64. I shot them an email, but I'm betting on getting better help here. Do I even need a driver? Since it was trying to install one, I would imagine so. Everything else went perfectly. All the x64 Bluetooth driver sets for my Thinkpad were promptly installed. That's the reason I'm asking if I need a specific driver for the BT headset.

Should be awesome using Skype with.

Thanks guys!!

I'm trying to make a stereo bluetooth headset work on my HP Vista32 Desktop.

I can pair it, then connect it, the device changes from speakers to the headset in my "Playback devices" window, but I get no audio through the headset. After about a minute, the playback devices changes back to my speakers
and the headset shuts off.

I've checked all of the drivers in Device Mgr...all are installed and working properly. I've also done
attempted updates on all of the involved drivers. I get messages saying the drivers are up to date in all cases.

It appears that the drivers (Blue radio & enumerator, headset in sound, video and game controllers) are installed
correctly, but the audio channel is not cut through.

Has anyone had in experience in this problem???

There is no real Bluetooth solution for NaturallySpeaking. The only mic that comes close is the VXI B-150 but it’s prone to pairing issues, quite expensive and is not incredibly accurate. The best wireless performers weren’t actually designed for VR. They include the Plantronics CS50-USB, CS-55, Revolabs xTag and the Samson Airline 77 in order from least to most accurate.

Hi there,

Couple of months ago I bought XPS-X8700 (Window 8.1) from Amazon, see link below for specification, which I am using to deliver tutoring via Skype or Google Hangouts. I would like to connect this PC with a BlueTooth headset for ease of my movement during video conferencing with students.

For this reason I bought a BlueTooth headset from Amazon, see the following link for spec. However, it looks like there is sound issues because the headset's speakers work fine but the microphone works only at the beginning.

Any fix or pointer would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time and effort.

Hopefully I'm in the right place.

I'm trying to use my Turtle Beach Ear Force PX4 headset through Bluetooth to voice chat through Discord.
However, in following the steps from their support site where it says, "On the Recording tab, right-click your Bluetooth device, and choose "Set as Default Device"", there's no option for Bluetooth.

Is there a way to add a Bluetooth option to this list that I've uploaded? If so, is there a link that I can follow, or is anyone on here able to give me steps on how to do it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a Turtle Beach PX4 headset and it is currently paired to my pc through bluetooth. However, my headset will not stay connected to my computer for more than a split second. [This screen is the point at where I am stuck at in getting this to work.]( I really want for this to stay connected so I can utilize the microphone part of this headset. All my drivers are up-to date from what I know of and my radio is unobstructed (I mean i was able to pair it yet I can't be connected?)

Does anyone know a way to help solve this problem for me?

I'm looking at getting a bt headset for use with Office Communicator/Live Messenger. I'm on a Dell D630, 7 Ultimate 64bit, 8GB RAM. I'm tempted to just buy a cheapo headset and see if I can get it working, but wondered if anyone knew of a (cheapish) bt headset that they'd definitely got working with 7?

A:Compatible bluetooth headset recommendations

For anyone considering something similar, I got me an Iqua BHS-603. Plugged it in, 7 did it's thing, configure OCS and Live Messenger, all good. And it was half price at the moment too.

I have a HP nc8230 computer running Windows XP Home edition SP3.

The computer has built in Bluetooth support that works fine with my cellular phone and mouse.

I also have a Motorola H390 Bluetooth headset and I want to use it with my computer (mainly for Skype calls) .

I'm able to pair the headset with the computer but when I try to hear (or speak) I can't hear anything.

Does anyone has idea how to solve this?

I have just purchased a HP iPAQ Handsfree Headset and a BElkin Bluetooth USB Adapter. It does not work

I followed the Install inst for the Blue Tooth adapter and found it works OK it also picks up the Headset when I Pair them together. My Blue tooth device manager states that the Adapter is working properly and was auto detected by windows XP. However I am trying to run Dragon Dictate and it cannot pick up the mic. So I tried to record a quick file with windows sound recorder and it did not work at all. Any thoughts.

i just bought nokia bh-503 headset, and i have a bluetooth dongle in my pc, i tried to find bluetooth devices from that dongle, but it cant find the headset.

-headset is on
-dongle drivers are installed
-already connected headset to my phone, works fine
-connected my bluetooth to my phone, file transfer, success.

help me pls!

A:Bluetooth Dongle can't detect my headset

Try this in order. Make sure that the bluetooth is turned off, prepare your bluetooth menu for the new device then turn on the headphones. Hold the power button until you get the blue light. After doing that start the device discovery. Now pair the headphone. Restart the device and see if it works.

Hi,I've just bought HP all-in-one 24-g080na desktop and HP H7000 bluetooth headset. Unfortunately, the headset is not found by the computer. I have tried what is in the manual (which is a bit useless to be honest) and other advices from the support team. However, nothing seems to make the computer found the headset in the bluetooth devices or through the Connect window. Could someone please help and advice on how to fix this problem. I have seen that I am not the only person with this issue. Otherwise, PC is great and I am pleased with it!Thank you for any help.

Ok guys I'm having an issue getting my bluetooth headset to go live within win7, specifically Skype.

Everything registers in Skype for the bluetooth, but no audio is heard or given, so I'm assuming there is an issue in the control panel some where.

I have the Jabra Go 6430, it connects to my cell phone (iPhone) & softphone(Skype) its a brand new headset that came out a couple of weeks ago & I'm really impressed with the overall quality.

The rep at Jabra said I should be able to also hear audio from WMP through it & that if I can configure the system with WMP, skype should fall into place.

So is anyone familiar with setting up bluetooth headsets in win7?

Look at Bluetooth Support Service. Set it to automatic and start it too.
