I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hey,
I recently decided I'm going to start using my old laptop again. I swapped the hard drive for an SSD and I'm quite pleased with the performance boost that got me. I am now looking for a ram upgrade from 2gb to 8gb.
I have a Dell inspiron n4010.
I went to crucial's website and did the system scan. The scan said that this would fit my needs.

Unfortunately, crucial doesn't ship to me. I'm forced to look elsewhere. I looked for something similar on another store's website. My question to all the experts out there is: will 2 of these work with my laptop and get me the 8gb of ram I need?
thanks for the help!

A:Quick ram upgrade question

Yes. The specs are exactly the same. Over the years I have used both Kingston and Crucial many times for memory upgrades and both are excellent.

You can also do a memory scan at Dell's own website. Just don't buy what they offer because they'll tell you to only buy genuine Dell memory blah, blah, blah. The Kingston will do you quite fine.

Can't play 1080p HD video smoothly,it usually freezes and it becomes impossible to watch the video.I use vlc player but it still doesn't work.pc processor is Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz and RAM is 4.00GB(2.97GB useable), 32-bit OS,Windows 7 ultimate service pack 1.moreover,a hard drive of 24.4GB remains un-useable all the time.
so I need to know how can I solve this problem
do I need to add more RAM and get 64-bit OS?

A:Can't play 1080p HD video smoothly

Reset the router MTU to stop packet fragmentation.

log into your router
usually in the section for the WAN side, you find the MTU setting defaulting to 1500.
reset it to 1492
save and reboot

Hello,

I have been using the same set up for just over a year now and yesterday my monitor (which is just a TV with a HDMI port) stopped receiving signal.

I can boot up the pc and get the BIOS, which I can go into and see everything fine, as well as the windows loading icon but when it would normally go to the log in screen I get nothing.

I can however plug in an extra monitor (an actual Samsung monitor) with a VGA cable and it all works fine and on top of that if I connect the TV at the same time it works perfectly fine as a second monitor.

However if I try to turn off the VGA monitor and just use the HDMI TV then I get no video signal again.

No idea how to get my main TV monitor working again. Totally stumped.

Hello,

I am looking into upgrading one of our conference rooms at work with something that can provide output to at least 2 HDTV and 1 projector, with the future of a 3rd hdtv.

I been out the loop for awhile with video cards, and wanted to know if anybody knows of a way this can be done with a possible video card that has 4 hdmi outputs? They will be (2) 55 inch hdtvs and a projector which should output its own resolution

Thanks for the help ahead of time.

A:Any video cards with 4 HDMI outputs?

No video cards I know of have 4 HDMI outputs, but you can find plenty of cards that have that many if you combine DVI + Displayport. You could always use DP converters to HDMI got get the appropriate number of connections, but remember that after 2 non DP devices you'll need to start using Active Converters if you plan to keep the signal digital.

I have a Dell Optiplex 330 which has a 2.0 dual processor with 4gb of ddr2 ram. I have windows xp installed and I have a video card that has 1024 mb of ram. I am unsure of the brand of video card or further specs. I bought it off of ebay some time ago.

My problem is that when I try to play streaming video it wants to freeze a lot. I have already given more space for the virtual memory on my computer: I think 4 to 8 gb and I have set my hardware acceleration way down but these changes haven't helped.

I can download and play movies fine, I only seem to have problems when playing streaming video like from hulu.com or letmewatchthis.com which directs you to sites like: putlocker, deditv, sockshare, loomba, etc. I have used other computers and they don't seem to have as much problems with this so I hope that somebody knows what I need to do to solve this problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

A:Freezing problems with streaming video

When you say freezing, do you mean just the video freezes, or the whole system? If its just the video, it could have something to do with your internet connection. Is the computer on wired internet or wireless?

Hello! I want to buy a Geforce Gtx 980 4GB gddr5 for my pc but I dont know if my motherboard can support it, how can I tell? my mother board is B85-G41 PC mate>, My procesor is i7 4770 3.40GHz. RAM is 16GB 1600MHz and PSU is 500W.

A:Video Card Support

From the information you provided, yes the GeForce GTX 980 will work very well with your MSI B85-G41 motherboard. You may want to keep an eye on your PSU though. 500W is the minimum system power requirement (according to the Nvidia website) to run the GeFore GTX 980. If you Overclock the GPU, it may run into some issues with the draw power coming from the PSU, and could cause it to go into an overload.

Hi Guys

I have a Dell latitude ES5500 which is a recon model
It works fine and on start up I hear the fan going. (so I don't think this is the problem)
All of the airways are clear.
When the laptop first arrived I could get 4-5 mins of video or game time before it shut off, it is now down to virtually straight away.
The laptop does not feel hot to touch either and when turned back on will perform any other function ie e mails word processing database and excel etc without a problem.
I can go on facebook and read post search the internet with no problems but as soon as I try to run a video or play a game it drops straight out.
I have to hold the button down to shut the laptop off and then it will restart with no bother.
This is fairly frustrating and I was wondering if anyone had any advice/ solutions to this?

A:Laptop keeps turning off when playing video's or games

It's worth installing HWMonitor or SpeedFan to check temperatures when you are playing video. My laptop fan doesn't kick in until the GPU temperature gets to 60c and it then drops rapidly to about 50c whereas your fan is working from start up.

I need a computer that can handle video editing, mainly Final Cut Pro and Adobe Suite. Right now I have a 5-year-old MacBook Pro that can't manage FCP let alone run any programs smoothly and quickly. I can't afford a MacPro, so I've been considering iMacs. What's my cheapest option that will get the job done? I've heard you can buy PCs and install Mac OS. Would that be my best option? (Having PC capabilities would be awesome, for light gaming). I want to save money but I don't want to buy anything that isn't equipped to handle video editing well (cause then I'm just wasting money). I want to stick with Mac OS, but I don't care about the design or whatever, so I'd happily get a PC and put Mac on it, but I don't know how I would go about doing that. So if you have any suggestions or advice, please let me know! Thanks!!

The R9 280 is going to be your best value for a $200 buck video card right now especially that version you have listed there.

It depends, you can always keep going up on value and seeing what is better in that area but it still comes down to what your willing to pay. If you are looking at that 780, why not instead get a GTX 970 because its cheaper and better depending on the variant you want.

A:Video issue with Asus Crosshair V and 560ti GPU

Let's do this one step at a time, first no part of any computer lasts for ever. U said u had 2 other video cards, first, see if either one of them will work. If that does not work, it could be the slot in the mother board, try an other X16 slot. but honestly to me it sounds like the mother board is not working if u have a speaker plugged into it and assuming the speaker is working because normally there would be beeps if the motherboard is not sending a video signal.

Hey guys, building a new PC, and I decided not to go too cheap with core components and leave the video card until later, while still getting everything in one go. Now this being the case, I will need to run non-dedicated graphics for a while (which are decent nowadays). Anyway, I want to go with the Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Motherboard and an AMD A10-6800K Richland CPU,

Will the video outputs on the motherboard work with the APU and will I be able to use integrated video until I get a dedicated video card?

The Newegg page for the motherboard says "Integrated Video: None", so I am a little bit confused, is there no integrated video chipset because that's what the CPU is now being an APU?

A:AMD A10-6800K with what motherboard for integrated video?

I just built a home office build system for my parents using that exact board with an A4-6300 Richland in a Cooler Master HAF 912 (I really like this case for microATX boards). The board was great to work with and since the APU is on the chip itself my folks didn't need to purchase a video card.

So to answer your question: Yes you'll get your video.

* I would seriously consider getting an aftermarket cooler to replace the heatsink that comes with it.

Hi first off ill let u know what im dealing with for specs...

Windows 7 ultimate - emachines el1333g amd processor 1800mhz
integrated nvidia geforce 6150

just added - radeon x1300/x1500 256mb

I installed the radeon and hooked up dual monitors via splitter

Now my questions are about using the integrated graphics as well.

Can I enable the integrated nvidia to use a 3rd monitor? I believe I can thru bios, but am nervous about bios.
Would enabling it help system performance even if not using a 3rd monitor?
Would enabling it help system performance if I used 1 monitor per video card instead of both thru the new radeon?

Thank you in advance

The reason I say that is unless you can connect the onboard graphics in SLI/Crossfire, the moment you insert the dedicated card, the onboard graphics will be disabled. Since you have nVidia onboard and inserted an AMD card, I know SLI/Crossfire is out of the question. But who knows, I could be wrong because I definitely don't know it all.

I will say making BIOS changes is not damaging. If you make a change that keeps the machine from posting, you can always pull the coin sized battery to default all the settings.

I am thinking about purchasing this motherboard,
http://www.microcenter.com/product/422559/FM2A88X_Extreme6_FM2-FM2_A88X_ATX_AMD_Motherboard

But I am not sure how to tell if a video card is compatible.

Here is the card I want,
http://www.microcenter.com/product/...adeon_R7-260X_2GB_GDDR5_PCIe_30x26_Video_Card

I realize the PCIe 3.0 will fit to the motherboard, but I do not know if it will be compatible.

I do not understand the difference betweeen DDR3, DDR5 and GDDR5.

Thanks for help!

A:What video cards will support this?

Yes, those two items will be compatible with each other.

DDR3 & DDR5 are VRAM types and GDDR5 is a motherboard RAM identification.

For the future, you can go >>here<< and all your parts to see if there will be any issues with compatibility.

But keep in mind that there can be other compatibility issues such as the graphics card being too long to fit in the case.

As weird as this sounds, I was recording a video of the Blue Angels practicing using my smart phone & recording it by holding my smartphone "still" focused on my tower monitor. Once it was over, I clicked the video button to stop recording but it kept recording. I pushed it a few more times but it kept recording so I pushed the button to go to the desktop & it went to the desktop. After that I tried a few times to play it but it won't.
I saved it to My Documents & tried playing it there but it still won't.
I have recorded other videos same way & they've played fine. Any ideas? I even tried to change the properties from .MOV to VLC but still nothing I don't know if I can upload it here, but will try if need be.

A:Video won't play

This is absolutely insane. Why can I see the video on the flashdrive & in the foldrer(s) its in, but when I try to upload it here, its invisible? Yes, invisible.

AS I mentioned in this thread ,
why is it I can see the .MOV video on the flashdrive by going directly to it on the flashdrive but when I try to upload it in here, it is simply not there , its invisible. I tried to upload a video but couldn't find it & yes, I was looking in the correct location. Confused & puzzled.

A:Video mystery

Because .MOVs are not supported it will not show up in the browse file window. To get around this use a program such as WinRAR (or something similar) to zip up the file and upload the .zip file.

Hey all! I've been facing this problem for quite a long time even after upgrading my RAM. The problem is that on specific sites like Facebook, Dailymotion, etc, the audio playback is quite fine but the video playback is slow, laggy, choppy etc. Is it my computer's problem? Well, my graphics is quite low. By quite low, I mean only 32MB. I don't face this problem on Youtube and players like JW players(I guess) which is used in some sites.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks.

A:Games are losing video

(I don't own any of the games you mentioned.)

for troubleshooting purposes:
1. since this is an NVidia card, try to update driver package to 337.88 (or latest).
do normal installation of NVidia driver pack or clean installation if you want it.
GeForce experience (part of NVidia driver pack) can also download automatically any game profile for supported games.

2. launch one game at a time and select lower resolution, less game details. if the problem disappears, then the game details is set too high that the video card cannot cope up. if the problem is still there, then troubleshooting continues.

Hi all. I just bought a graphics card that needs 350 watts and +12v with 20 amps to run. My power supply has to following output:

+5V 22A MAx -12V 1A max
+5V (FP) 2A Max +3.3V 17A max
+12VA 18A max +12VB 18A max

combined power on +12VA and +12VB rails must not exceed 360 watts

Can it run the card?

I really dont want to call back to the service cause I was there 3 times and they are not serious.I just wanna make it fast and clean.

Thanks for the attention and sorry for my english!

Hi, my relatively new "HP ENVY TouchSmart m7 Notebook PC" has been having crippling lag while playing video games. The lag slows the computer down to about 0.2-0.5 frames per second, and slows the audio down to match the video speed (which produces a grinding sound). A:Is my mob compatible with new Video Card & have enough power to run it

No one can say if it will run with no issues, just because there could be any number of complications that could pop up. If you asking will it work with your current system, then yes it will run on your current system with the PSU. I would advise that you uninstall the video drivers (and software) for the current card, changing out to the new card. This will create less of a head ache for you in the end.
I would also suggest trying to find another 2GB ram stick because your motherboard is a Dual Channel motherboard and the computer will run better if you have 4 sticks of ram instead of 3. Its not going to hurt your computer by having 3 sticks of ram versus 4, but you will get better overall performance.

Hello, everybody. Sorry if this is the wrong category.

I've got a relatively new HP Envy 4-1035TX Ultrabook Laptop and I've had this problem lately: while playing a YouTube video or a song from my iTunes library, it keeps slurring and crackling. Thanks in advance.

A:Video Card Issues- Is mine outdated-What to get

The size of a monitor does not matter to a video card, you can hook up a 60inch TV and it wont make a difference in performance to the machine over a similarly specked 30inch. What matters is the resolution, the higher you go (720->1080->1600->etc) the more demanding it is on your video card. Now in your case that Quadro card is Extremely Low end in this day and age which means its probably struggling to do anything even at 720p resolution. Now while this is a workstation machine, im inclined to ask what else you maybe doing besides watching/streaming HD content. If that is all you want to do, my suggestion would be to grab one of these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121800

Its and AMD R7 250, it has a DVI, HDMI, and a VGA on it so you can hook up 2 monitors (I would suggest 1 HDMI and 1 DVI) and it will keep up with your needs just fine. If you intend to do more with your machine than that or want a video card a little bit higher up for possible other tasks, try grabbing one of these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150688

Its an AMD R7 260X which is a significant step up for 50 more dollars. But it contains display port and more outputs in general so you can hook up lots of different monitors (Up to 6) on it.

Just my two cents, if you really want a workstation card like a quadro or firepro, let us know what your using it for so we can find a good one for you instead.

Hi. I am looking for a new PC/Laptop mainly for audio editing and some amateur video editing. I have read around the web and found a few things I probably want in on my computer:

Firewire or IEEE 1394 input,
An SSD hard-drive or atleast an 7200rpm hard drive
A half-decent video card for video editing
A decent sized RAM (atleast 8 gb I think)
Processor which isnt a slug probably

I was looking at a refurbished Mac Mini for £579. (http://store.apple.com/uk/product/FD388B/A)
It has some good reviews online and since Im not too experienced with computers an Apple product would probably give me less headaches. The Intel HD 4000 isnt too good though, which might be a problem for video editing. The hard drive isn't fast either, but I read, that that can be replaced.
Any comments on this? Maybe I should build my own PC or buy a laptop, could you give me some suggestions as well? My budget is about £600-700.
Thanks.

Hi,

I bought a CPU last week and before we buy, ofcourse we tried and it worked fine. when I attached it to my monitor, it says "no video input". after removing and attaching again the VGA cable, it worked, but after few minutes of using, it returned to "no video input" again.. I tried to remove wires and connect to the outlet (since I used AVR) it worked again. So I thought it was my AVR was damaged. But after buying another AVR, it returned to "no video input" again, I tried to use my old AVR but nothing happened.. I tried to buy another VGA cable but nothing happened.. I tried to use my old CPU but again, nothing happened..

I dont know if its because of my monitor because we haven't use it for almost 5 mos. and it worked properly before and why is it, it worked fine for 15 mins. (after using with my new CPU) and then .. after few mins. again.. it says "no video input"

Pleasse help me.. thanks and God bless!

A:Same monitor, new video card, but very different look

It's possible that a BIOS setting was changed when you upgraded, so make sure you're still set to PEG or PCIe graphics, and set the bus speed to the right generation (PCIe 2.0 in your case), disable multi-monitor, etc. Anyway that's a long shot, the real problem may be that you got a bad video card. If possible, try it in another system and see if the problem persists.

A:Video Stuttering with 7870 in Win7 64

In-game Vsync sucks for many games, the problem being some games tend to be biased towards one company and that causes the other company Graphics card to run poorly in it.

Try downloading Radeon Pro, its a custom tool that helps for games like that on AMD cards that run into issues with Vsync. Once installed, all you do is add the games your having problems with, go to the options surrounding the games sync, and set it to use dynamic Vsync with the refresh rate of your monitor (You can also add your monitors refresh in).

Sure but a 500W power supply is recommended for a GTX 760. You may need to check the size of your power supply, as it is likely to need upgrading before replacing the GPU.

Hello for some time now been a few months now didn t really notice it at first I ve been experiencing weird horizontal artifacts in video playback They are computer-based as I can show you by pasting a screenshot They move and jitter during playback I also notice these artifacts even as I type to you with and Video HD errors 6800 artifacts Radeon now whenever I type I see the artifacts blinking on and off and they might stay on off I tried updating all my codecs and my GFX driver but that caused more problems as now a game I tried to play Orcs must Die had a weird horizontal crossbar going up the menu screen and other such weird behaviour This was not present in my former drivers so now I m thinking of a rollback or alternative drivers Omega Might be something to do with my ancient overheated and now dusty with age CPU that s probably suffered from overclocking over the years E but it also might be my relatively old GPU However I didn t have these problems during the first half of last year that much I know I m running Win bit with gb of ram Any advice beyond finally going ahead and changing the MB CPU and VGA Thanks nbsp

A:Possible Video Card Issue

This laptop has Intel HD Graphics. It is called on-board graphics permanently part of the motherboard and it is not a video card. The graphics driver might have become corrupted or the graphics chip might have overheated

Hello mates,

I have a corrupted micro SD card. With huge trying I could to recover it's data using **recuva** tool, but now my files are corrupted also. They are video file with some famous extensions such as 3gp, mp4, flv, wmv, avi. My video file players are *VLC* and *Media player classic*. The *media player classic* says, "can not render the file" and *VLC* doesn't show anything.

Is there a way to repair these video files?

Thanks.

A:How to repair video files?

Don't think so. With the corrupted micro SD, there's no way to edit them to make them valid again - - sure hope you have another copy elsewhere (aka backups?)

I am doing research for a friend as well as helping pick out his parts for a new build who wants to do the following in his own words:

Rendering 1080p videos with high lengths
Rendering intros that are 10 seconds but can take 30 hours to render (Not sure what he means here; obviously he does )
Uploading videos
School work
Streaming at High FPS while on good graphics
Photoshop
Gaming

His CPU is an AMD FX-8350 (eight core) and he has 16 gigs of RAM. The motherboard is not 3.0 compliant but everything I have read says as long as a MB has a PCI-E slot cards are backwards compatible.

Thanks.

A:Need Video Card for Rendering, Streaming, Photoshop

Since Adobe is now more dependent on OpenGL and moving that direction, your best bet is going to be an AMD card, what kind of budget are you looking at for said card?

I am looking for a better gaming experience with BF4 and COD: Ghosts, not looking to top FPS but just to be able to play at max settings at a fair FPS (30). Here are my current specs:

CPU: Core i7 920 at stock and not looking to OC
RAM: 6gb
Video: GTX 560ti

I was thinking of upgrading RAM to 12gb and video to GTX 760 and wait a couple of years to replace the whole system but I am unsure if the CPU will bottleneck the performance of the video card? or if the upgrade will be good enough for the upcoming games 2014-2015?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

A:New rig or upgrade video card and ram?

CPU is fine, RAM is also fine, GPU is also fine.

Do you have the latest GPU drivers? Download from NVIDIA website.

I don't see how you can't get 30fps on High detail at 1920x1080 resolution.

Hello everyone I recently came across a really unusual problem and exhausted all possible solutions The system is an HP desktop Pavilion model m Motherboard Video OEM OEM Does Not Detect Card f This model came with a Nvidia GeForce GT One day the PC stopped sending it s video signal through the video card s DVI port and was using the onboard graphic s OEM Motherboard Does Not Detect OEM Video Card VGA port instead I figured the video card might be dead but I checked and the video card s fan was still running I took it off and performed maintenance on it cleared the heatsink of dust reapplied thermal paste etc I figured maybe it was a fluke fail so I carefully reseated it into the PCI slot and rebooted No luck still refused to work I went out and got another card an Nvidia GeForce I installed it onto the motherboard installed necessary software drivers and it works great Doubting that the old card is dead without any trace of damage I put it in another PC of mines and hoped it might still work To my surprised the card was working fine and after installing drivers the entire card was in working order HDMI S-Video and DVI I then tried putting the old card back into the computer motherboard in question Still no luck I fiddled with the BIOS settings and got nothing out of the video card s DVI HDMI ports The OS detects no OEM Motherboard Does Not Detect OEM Video Card change in hardware other than the fact that I took the new card out and the motherboard is now using onboard graphics Other OEM Motherboard Does Not Detect OEM Video Card things I ve tried include - Reinstalling drivers - Updating BIOS - Checked BIOS settings - Checked hardware no damage what so ever To state again this is an old OEM motherboard that refuses to detect the OEM video card that it came with I m at a loss now just what is the problem nbsp

I had the same computer a while back. It did the same thing. So I pulled the card. Then replaced it with a Nvidia Geforce 9500 Gt. That card worked for about a month. The same thing happen again. But both cards worked in another computer I had at the time. So I gave up and started useing the onboard graphics. About a year later. The power supply died on me. So I went and bought a new one . After installing it. I thought well maybe I will try putting the Nvidia Geforce 8500 Gt card back in just to see if it would work. It did . As far as I know still is working. I gave the computer to my grandson. About a year ago and he is still using it. I am not really sure if it was the power supply. But that was what seem to fix it. If you have power supply that you can swap out. Just to test it .It might be worth a try. Other then that I really have no other suggestion. Hopefully someone here may know a few .

I changed my power supply (old one's dead), and now, when I turn my pc on, it won't send video to the monitor.

Its a gtx280, the green light is turning on (so electricity doesn't appear to be the issue), and the gpu fan doesn't turn on.

I cannot access the bios or anything else software related because the motherboard doesn't have integrated video.

Hi Enrique,

Minimum System Power Requirement on a GTX 280 video card is 550 W. Check the new power supply's specifications to confirm. Also, is the new video card compatible with your system?

Click on the link below for specifications and details on the GTX 280.

Please help. I have just purchased a HP Pavilion p62480ea desktop PC. This all worked fine out of the box.
I also purchased a Geforece GTX 650 Ti graphics card - when I put this in I'm getting no signal on my monitor - using HDMi and DVI cables. (I also installed a new 430w power supply)

When I take the graphics card out and go back to the GPU on the motherboard everything works fine.

I've read that going into the BIOS and turning off delete/uninstall the video driver in device manager>>>turn off computer>>>install the graphics card - has worked for others.
I've tried going into the BIOS but I'm getting no signal when I restart this way.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I would not go for an Opteron processor as they are meant more for servers than desktops. For a build like this, you would either be looking at the AMD 8350 flagship or an Intel I7 4xxx.. The main difference is that Intel is faster on single-threaded tasks (that is the major difference), but AMD is ever so slightly faster on some multi-threaded tasks...

Would you be willing to build the computer yourself?

Hello all, I wanted to get some opinions one what parts are most important to upgrade for improved workflow and video preview for video editing applications like sony vegas. Basically I edit bluray video for amv's (animated music video's) and my preview window and basic workflow speed can be choppy and not quite as smooth as I want it to be. Does CPU have biggest effect with this kind of stuff (and if it does, would you suggest a hexa core CPU or would something like an i7 4770k quad core CPU be enough for editing bluray footage)? or is computer RAM important? I also heard that Doing something with your hard drive can have a greater effect in improving these things. Any thoughts appreciated! Also, assume money isn't a factor, just want what performs better.

A:Important parts for improving workflow in video editing?

RAM + a fast CPU are large parts of a video editing build. RAM and a good CPU help speed up the rendering process, but they dont necessarily affect the video render quality. I think the GPU is the issue.

What are you current specifications? What is your price range for the new machine?

A:Want to build a gaming/video editing pc

My suggestions:

- Stick with Haswell, newer is always better.
- Stick with the 240GB SSD, a 120/128GB one will fill up very quickly especially when you consider overprovisioning.
- Downgrade the mobo to something like the ASUS Z87-A unless you know you'll need the extra features of the Sabertooth.
- The GTX 780 is obviously the quickest card out there but it is also very poor value for money, you might want to consider downgrading to a GTX 770. Your monitor is only 1920x1200 @60Hz so you might not even be able to notice the difference between those 2 cards.
- Get a 750-850W PSU in case you ever want to add another card in SLI in the future. It's always a good idea to invest in a decent PSU for future upgrades.

A:Video lag when mouse is not moving

Mouse is USB I'm assuming.. I'm sure you've already tried a different usb port, if it's plugged into a hub - plug directly into the system. if it's plugged into one of the usb3.0 ports, move it to a 2.0 port. See if issue persists. if so, I'm going to blame a chipset driver, or a software driver for the mouse. if you've recently updated either of those drivers, roll them back. See if issue persists. If so try a different mouse - maybe, maybe it's an issue directly with the mouse. Try the mouse in a different system, see if issue is then on other system. Try these things & post back, I'm curious on this one. Hope this helps, take care!

Hello Guys!

I recently purchased 2 Visiontek Radeon HD 7870 Eyefinity 6

Im using it to enable a kind of Eyefinity effect for 8 Monitors, but what I can't figure out is how the hell do I enable all screens?

When im working around in the Control Center from the driver, it wont enable all screens, I called support and they recommend that I use Mini-displayport to DVI, so I did, infact I switched all my Displayport to HDMI and put in the Displayport to DVI, then I put in a Adapter from DVI to HDMI, but I still cant figure the problem out!

Does anyone have any possible solution, I got about a week on my to accomplish this! Is there any other software I can use?

Appreciate all help!

So I have a monitor 1366x768 and I wish to upgrade to a 1920x1080 im currently running a gtx 660

at this moment my pc is connected to my tv which is a 30 inch 1920x1080 and I do struggle abit on games which I get on the near 40 fps at max graphics full resolution but I was wondering is there any difference in fps between a

23 inch monitor 1920x1080 and the 30 inch tv 1920x1080

and is it even worth it of me upgrading my monitor

A:Video resolution question

There won't be as they are the same resolution, the fps depends on the resolution, and the quality settings on the games itself - and good hardware (CPU and GPU) to play it with as well!!. The size of the screen won't affect the fps unless the resolution changes too.

I am not familiar with quick sync so any info for me would sure help. I have looked at some video on it but still would like a little insight. First I would have to have a CPU that supports it I know. But would I need it? I would have discrete card AMD 7790 in the machine in question. What will quick sync help me out with? These machines will be mainly used for video editing. Thanks.

A:Quick sync and CPU's

Quicksync helps to greatly reduce rendering times in video editing suites. The E3 has it if I am not mistaken. I dont recommend the 7790 for a video editing machine. The memory bus is slow, and thus, not good for video editing. I would recommend a 2GB GTX 650Ti boost edition or 2GB GTX 660 or 2GB AMD 7850.

I would recommend one (Maybe not the fanciest) but a decent one to help with the cooling of a xeon. Though like I said, I would not recommend anything fancy, just something to add a little airflow especially if your case is not huge and moving a lot of air.

A:What's the best video card my computer can handle?

Some questions first need to be answered:
What is your budget for a video card?
I'm assuming that this is a pre-manufactured computer, but what is the make and model of your computer?
Need to know the exact model of the motherboard. Ultra durable 3 motherboards covers a "family" of motherboards.
You might also want to look into adding more ram (going up to 8GB will definitely help out).
Power supply might also need to be upgraded, depending on what it has already.
Start with the questions above, and we can help find the best video card for your situation.

A:Is this video card compatible with this motherboard?

Yes, the card is compatible with the mobo.

Your Crossfire and SLI understanding is correct. However, it extends to GPU's, not just 'cards'. Cards like HD7990 and GTX690 use Crossfire/SLI internally as they have two GPU's on one card.

And what size/brand of video card do I need

A:What video card do I need?

You need to get a new laptop if you intend to game. There is nothing you can really do to make that into a gaming laptop.

What browsers are you using? Can you post your system specs? Also, what is your internet speed? Check here: http://speedtest.net/ and post the link to your results.

Hi,

I've had a problem with my speakers for a while. They will just stop working if I skip forward a few songs on iTunes. They also stop working when I skip forward in time in a song in iTunes, or when I skip forward in time on youtube videos.

Disabling and enabling the speakers in playback devices usually fixes this problem. Restarting my computer always fixes the problem.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

A:Why Can't I Get The Motherboards Integrated VGA Video card to except My Monitor?

Hey Demkon_5. The only common element I see is that it doesn't work at your house. Does the monitor have a detachable video cable and if so, did you use this same cable at your friend's house and on the older tube monitor?.

What is a good video card for an alien m15x laptop

A:Video card for an alien m15x laptop

Do you mean the Alienware M14x? They dont offer the M15x anymore. If you dont care about looks and only care about hardware, I would recommend Sager laptops. A lot of people get Alienwares just for their looks. But that is basically all you pay for. You can get better hardware for that price.

I got myself a new mainboard that is based on the ATX DDR3 AMD standard. But I also thought that the old NVIDIA Sparkle (GTX260--896MB) that is based on the DDR2 internal memory set still would work since the connector on the card is PCI-express. Does the DDR2 memory (896MB DDR internal graphics memory) stop the communication with the DDR3 mainboard? Its a bit unfear since this was not the case between DDR1 up to DDR2. Why has there come up such a brickwall between DDR2 and DDR3. Or am I wrong?

A:DDR2 video card on a DDR3 mainboard?

I think you're confusing system RAM with video RAM, they're separate things. What's the model of your motherbaord? If it has a PCI-E slot your GTX 260 should work.

A newer card than the 2xx series would serve you better and require less power. Is there no way you could get a GTX 650 or one generation older GTX 550?

Guys.my frnd has a broadband line 360kb=45KB.With this line can easily see the youtube videos in 480p.just gets buffer for 1-3 sec and no buffer next 3-4 minitues.I have 512kb=64KB line where it is almost impossible for me to watch video in 360p.I usually see in 240p.I get this speed constant always.I m amazed to see it.
Do u guys, have any explanation of this problem?
Thankss

A:No buffer in YouTube 480p video in 360kb broadband line but in 512kb Wimax

Other people on your home network, or your ISP sucks and isn't providing you with adequate speeds as advertised, or something on your PC is sucking down all bandwidth.

I've built computers plenty but MOBO's have always thrown me off. As long as the CPU fits on the MOBO and you have enough RAM slots and the correct Vid Card slot... why pay $200 for a MOBO when you can get it all to run on a $50 MOBO? Just for expansion in the future? Quadrupling your price for a possibility of expanding isn't in my budget so what are your thoughts on a MOBO for these 2? I heard on TigerDirect.com you need a 9 series MOBO to handle the FX4100. Side note, I bought a 550W PSU

A:Have a CPU and video card - thoughts on mobo?

Well, price sometimes matters if you are an enthusiast. For example, some ASUS motherboards on the Z77 side go for like $400 bucks because they have better on board audio, and have the option to liquid cool the board (plus there are better passive heatsinks for improved cooling). These are just 2 examples of what your money will get. Also, higher end boards may have more SATA 6GB/s ports. I would recommend getting a $100 motherboard from Amazon or Newegg. Tiger direct is overpriced. I would put your money saved from the motherboard to getting a 650Ti. It will get you ~25% better performance over the 7770.

This has got to be the strangest thing ever to happen to me. I had an AGP ATI video card with 256 mb on board which I do not remember the exact model number. It was about 8 years old. I have recently bought a flat screen 1080i 24 inch led TV which works great as a monitor ( and I mean great) Eventually the ATI card went bad and a friend had lying around an older NVIDIA TNT2 model 64 pro64 with only 64 meg on board. I almost flipped out to find that this older NVIDIA card was a 100 times better. Now everything is so crystal clear even at 1920 by 1080 my screen looks almost like an apple retina display. even the colors are so much brighter. The biggest complaint I had with the ATI card was poor contrast which I blamed on my TV/monitor, But no more. How could this possibly be? it makes absolutely no sense.

A:Very strange video question (:

Not sure. But I had an opposite experience many years ago. I had a p2 300 with an ATi Rage Fury Pro (I think) and played EV Nova on it, shortly after I built a 1Ghz Athlon Thunderbird system and had a GF2MX 32Meg card and it didn't look as good as the ATi.

Perhaps you didn't have the correct/best driver installed.

What sort of budget do you have for the graphics card?

Your processor isn't too bad, and shouldn't give you a whole lot of bottlenecking issues unless you get a very high end graphics card.

Hey, I'm new here so I might be posting in the wrong section so... I apologize beforehand.
Lately, my PC keeps overheating, I already cleaned everything inside and the side of my processor is open, otherwise, it would overheat even while browsing the internet.
Anyways, for now everything's fine but, I can not play games at all, even a browser rpg will make my PC overheat and later on, lead to rebooting.
I checked the fans and two of them worked perfectly, except the videocard fan.
Any ideas on how I'm supposed to make it spin again?

A:Video card fan not spinning

I already cleaned everything inside and the side of my processor is openClick to expand...

What do you mean the side of your processor is open? The CPU shouldn't be open to ambient air, but cooled by a Heat sink. Sounds like you need to replace your heat-sink or clean it and reapply thermal paste.

As for the fan on your GPU. If your fan isnt spinning it could be a couple things. Make sure to clean it, a can of compressed air should do the trick. Make sure your card is plugged in securely and is receiving power. In the event that your fan is just broken. In some cases you can just replace it. Or even buy one of those after market GPU heat sinks.

Why when I install NVIDIA my monitor shut's down? I dont know if my Video Card has a problem. and everytime I turn on my cmputer some letters are color pink. but past few years my computer works properly without changing any parts of my computer.

A:Does my video card have a problem?

Monitor shuts down for a second because of the update to graphics drivers. It says this in the installer.

I'm not sure why your letters are pink. Try uninstalling all drivers and try again? Could also be a faulty GPU, cable, monitor.

Hello all I recently assembled a computer and all checks out fine except for the video card in my system information I ordered an N GTX PCI Express Graphics Card and when I try launching games my graphics card is instead displayed as an NVIDIA GeForce NVIDIA nForce a I tried some of the other tips I ve found when browsing through this site such as disabling the display adapter I have under the Device Manager but to no avail I also went into my BIOS and all I could find that pertained to my problem card Video properly? not displaying was the quot Primary Graphics Adapter quot which is set to quot PCI Express quot I m not sure if there was another option I was supposed to change but to my knowledge I couldn t find anything else I even went as far as taking my computer apart to check if It was plugged in correctly and to my knowledge it is One thing I do not understand is that the box my graphics card came in says it has dual fans and instead the one in my computer only has a single fan I m not sure if I was a victim of fraud or if I just wasn t doing something Video card not displaying properly? right If anyone could offer me any tips to solve this annoying issue I would appreciate it Thank you EDIT Sorry Missed a spot Before anyone asks yes I did update my drivers on the NVIDIA website I still haven t received any visual changes or notifications on the matter nbsp

A:Video card not displaying properly?

nForce is the chipset on AMD mobos. Is this correct? It could just be using the APU instead of the GPU.
