There are still 20-22 days left in the manufacturer's warranty, but the site shows no care pack is avilable.  Also on manually searching the site, it showed no carepack was compatile with my laptop. Hi friends, I am trying to extend my warranty on my X1 which expires next month. Unfortunately within the Lenovo support website I no longer see an option to extend my warranty, which at an earlier point this year was still available. It is my understanding that as long as I am still within my warranty I can still extend it, so is it still possible to get the extension by other means than the website? Thank you.

As the title suggests - my invoice specifically says 3yrs warranty was purchased with my M3800 in November 2014. I'm now showing as out of warranty after 2yrs

how do i get the warranty for my geforce graphic card because the fan and heatsink is broken when i bought it and i cant do anything and i lost the bill and it keeps overheating now the computer turns off after 10 seconds now how do i get it?

contact who you purchased it from and see what they can do. they should have records of the transaction. if you purchased it with a charge card you could contact them also for any record of the purchase.

lastly contact the manufacturer and see what they can do. some things go back there anyway i think

Help please. HP Support Assistant changed overnight and now shows Warranty Expired and date Dec 2015 when I bought the PC. Expiry date should be 3 December 2016.Have sent HP Warranty Dispute form and evidence of purchase (twice). No response. Have used Assistant Agent twice and was very pleased with excellent service. Because warranty is out of date, according to HP, contact with them is limited and try as I can I have been unable to get a phone call through to customer service (its always busy!). I have even contacted HP  Head Office who gave me the same phone number and a complaints e- mail address which turned out to be in South America! Message on HP Support Assistant  received today asks me to continue  warranty by paying for 2 year cover. Have paid for this today and hope this will sort situation. Meanwhile who can I e mail at HP in the UK to resolve this?

Hi! I have a quick question, my laptop came with a mechanical hard disk which i would like to replace with a solid state.The problem is that there is a sticker saying "Warranty void if label tampered with or removed" covering one of the screws. The end date of warranty is until Jul 2017. What i should do? Why HP is doing this really? I never owned a laptop which was impossible to upgrade the ram or the hdd...

Hi I bought a display unit of AiO at the Singapore COMEX 2016 1 week ago. Sales rep told me there's on site 3 years warranty given by HP but when I set up the unit and there was a pop up warranty indicating the warranty period only covers 1 year.And the registration was done by the retailer when the pc was put on display in the event. Please advise what I can do to obtain the 3 years revised status? System is a dell studio xps 435mt/ os 7 premium/ I7 CPU/ 8 gigs of ram/ ati video card just replaced 3 months ago/ hitachi deskstar 500g hd/power supply delta 360w.

Had no error messages. Was running fine, it had a few glitches but nothing serious. I attempted to power up the system but nothing , it has power the green light is on for the power supply.. I get one amber light when i press the power button on front panel, and one flicker of the red light on the video card.

This system is only 2 years old. The warranty expired on it's second birthday, which was the day after the warranty ran out.

I bought a refurbished Latitude E about two months ago and the system gave warranty? me a warning days ago saying the battery is reaching its life cycle and It need to replace a new battery After I tried to call and online chat with different dell departments for hours including chat with one very rude custom service person I was finally told that they get a lot warranty? of similar complains it is normal and I can not expect the battery better than that Should the furbished laptop not be similar to the new one introduction of this laptop on shop said the battery should last to hours when I made the purchase my laptop is less than half of it This is not warranty? the first time there are issues with my dell laptops but the warranty is just ridiculous for a laptop bought months ago This is the first refurbished computer that I ever bought and I hope this is the last laptop I bought from dell

If the battery is original to the system, it's between 4 and 5 years old - and likely well past its design life.  A "refurbished" system of that model is not the same as a "refurbished" new system - was it purchased direct from Dell, or elsewhere?

I posted a msg regarding a possible IRQ problem and missing internet connection.  Received a PM to call a number, did so and worked with a person from Skyfill who told me my warranty was expired.  My computer shows that I have 6 months left but the help person disputed that; so I paid for assistance to get computer internet connection fixed.   How do I dispute the warranty coverage?

So, my HP Envy x360 has a screen problem that I described in an earlier post, but the situation that I am in currently is that around February, I contacted HP to get a box to send my laptop back and get it repaired in. Now, I couldn't send it back at the time because I needed it every day for classes. So, I decided to wait until the end of the school year, not thinking that my warranty expires in April . Warranty is 1 year from first retail sale. Either the seller sold you a laptop previously sold or it sat on his shelf for a long time. Keep the receipt as you may need it to prove when you bought it. The date in the HP system is automatically generated based on wholesale delivery plus an average shelf time.

I'm having issues doing a clean install on this PC. It seems it comes with Windows 8 installed and another tech downgraded it to windows 7. I was then told to do a clean install on it and pulled the cd key with a program and installed Windows 7 Pro with a ISO I have. Now it won't activate the key saying it is invalid. I have the CDs coming from HP that I guess might help but I need this PC working today really. Is the key it pulled really a windows 8 key and just said 7 since that what was installed when I used the program to pull it? What are my options to get an active key?

Because the computer came pre-installed with Windows 8 the key is embedded in firmware. You can download the media creation tool here. You will need to download it using a Windows 7 or 8 computer.
 
Follow the clean install steps here. If you need data off the drive you can pull it using a live linux disk like FatDog64 or Hirens CD. You may need to disable SecureBoot in BIOS but I believe it has already been disabled if you are booting Windows 7. When you get to the Window asking for the Windows 8.1 key do not input anything and click Next. Windows 8.1 will self activate when online. 
 
If you cannot click next then use one of these generic keys depending on what version of 8 was on the computer.

The key you pulled may be for Windows 7. You can verify it using this utility. When you input the key what is listed under Edition Type?

I am from Pakistan and I recenlty puchased Dell Inspiron 17 7778. Now the Shopkeeper said your device comes with 1 year International warrnty! After unboxing i put service tag of laptop on dell official warranty check , Website confirms that product is in fact Inspiron 17 7778 but Warranty start and expiration dates are not showing as well not the country to which it is shipped , So i connected shop keeper again and he said Dell international warranty is updated within 3 to 7 days after purc6ahse ?

Hello, asking about a ThinkPad Yoga bought in EU. - Does removing the sticker with serial number on the back (base cover) void the warranty? Mine started to peel off and I want to remove it, - Does succesfully changing the HDD by the customer somehow might void the warranty in the future? I upgraded it already and now wondering whether to keep the old HDD to be able to return things in "initial condition" if need arises. Please advise.

Yes, removing the sticker at the back side of the system will void the warranty.
 
But replacing the HDD will not void the system warranty, but the replaced parts will not come under warranty, and if there is any mishandling while replacing HDD then the system won?t cover under warranty.
 
If user makes any physical damage to the system while replacing the parts will not cover under warranty, if the user is having technical knowledge on that then there won't be any issue.

Hi, I purchased a brand new Lenovo Edge 2 - 1580 Laptop from Bestbuy while I was at West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. The Serial Number of the Laptop is R90HPBVZ and Model Number is 80QF0004US. I travelled back to India. Everything went on fine until one day, when I heard a craking sound on the hinges while I was closing my laptop. Two screws came out broken. The touch panel got removed from the back panel and is almost hanging. The covers that are over the hinge region came out. Currently, the laptop is working fine, yet I cannot close the laptop. Kindly find attached photos for immediate reference.????I am currently in Chennai, India. I would have thought there would be others with such an issue but I couldn't find any answered question about my issue on the forums nbsp My laptop purchased in dec- has a broken left hinge part As a result I cannot open close the lid without almost fully breaking the hinge Even with the lid up its extremely unstable Needless to say the laptop is out of commission at the moment nbsp I am considering getting it repaired since it runs decently enough Its out of warranty though I tried to check my options at the HP Support portal and of Out warranty repair answered a few questions including serial and product and the website stated that the warranty has expired and I need to pay for phone support So I know phone support is not going to fix the hinge issue and I Out of warranty repair am not sure why I am being asked to pay to just check on my options nbsp I need to know the cost of the repair and the turnaround time And I opened up the back cover and tried to figure out what is wrong basically the mold attached to the base of the laptop that holds the screw connecting the hinge and the base is broken I want to verify that HP will accept a laptop that was opened by the customer nbsp Any HP support folks here that can answer my questions nbsp Thanks

I have an HP Pavilion Notebook, well out of warranty. I keep getting the pop-up to buy an extended warranty (which I do not want), and when I click 'next', it refers to inability of IE to respond. How can I get rid of this pop-up for once and for all? I have pop-up blocker on in Firefox. I have even selected "already bought one" and "buy now", but get same result.

I purchased a Dell desktop on Had an issue with software and was promptly fixed Great support In June the wireless mouse became erratic on occasion I filed a service request on On the support person finally Warranty Problems decided the mouse itself was the problem and was going to order a replacement At first he couldn t find where I had purchased the mouse and I had to explain it was part of a package computer monitor keyboard and mouse Sheesh Then he said the mouse I had was discontinued and they would have to find a replacement OK Next message I got was they had submitted an order for a replacement but it would have to be scheduled for production It is now and I still don t have a working Warranty Problems mouse Sure I Warranty Problems can buy one for but if this is the support I get on a mouse what happens if anything major goes out I m rethinking my opinion of Dell support When I first complained about the poor service I found myself subscribed to all the junk e-mail Dell can generate It took tries to get someone to acknowledge that I was being un-subscribed It would take days to weeks Why does it take less than hrs to start receiving the junk and weeks to cut it off

My 15" Acer Chromebook CB5-571 just died a couple of weeks past the warranty deadline. It was wonky when I first got it from the Play Store but the updates seemed to help. Now it just died and won't start. Where can we go for recompense on these defective machines? I'm not willing to shell out around 1/3 of the purchase price for a battery when I'm not sure that's the issue. Google Play is nice, but not when the machines they're selling are crap and nobody can own up to the issues.

I am trying to gather the warranty information on quite a few of our companies HP thin clients.I have a list of all the serial numbers I am looking to gather information on, but not the product numbers.These thin clients are spread out through 11 seperate locations and getting all the product numbers for these would be quite un-pleasant.I found an area in HP support to get the warranty information i desire but it requires both S/N and P/N.Is there another area that would only require the S/N?  This would save me much time and frustration. Thanks

I have brought a hp laptop from a retail shop on 11-09-2016 but on hp website it showes that my warranty starts from 23-06-2016....PLEASE ANYONE PROVIDE A SOLUTION......

Your warranty is one year from retail purchase. HP puts in a placeholder date based on when the laptop was made but sometimes they sit on the shelf for a while. If you actually have a warranty problem it will be 1 year from purchase. Keep your proof of purchase documents and register your laptop with HP.

Hello I am having problems with my PC Mcafee found snip smart and Rocket Tab I want to get rid of them. I bought a Lenovo Y - about a year ago and recently while gaming I thought I heard an enemy came from Warranty questions about Y50-70 the right even though he was on the left Warranty questions about Y50-70 behind me I had the feeling everything came from the right I did a sound check and the right speaker is considerably louder than the left speaker I am still in my warranty period but I took off the back to install a second GB RAM stick and a second time to clean out the fans It could be that in that process a wire got slightly disconnected I need a powerful laptop for my school and I simply can't do anything with my parent's laptop because it has no dedicated videocard and only an entry level i So I wonder will it void my warranty if I try to fix it myself Or did I already void my memory by opening up my laptop nbsp nbsp Now about something else I hate the glossy bezel and I want to take it off to make it matte The only thing that this has an effect on is the Warranty questions about Y50-70 bezel but I Warranty questions about Y50-70 wonder if this will also void my warranty And I can't buy a replacement part to try it on since a bezel costs which is insanely expensive for a piece of plastic Anyone who can help me with this
