I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

You can still change the keyboard to write in Arabic. Whether or not you can read Arabic, I dunno But the OS isn't available in Arabic per this statement

*Note: If you used the Hindi or Arabic language versions of the Beta, thank you for helping us test those languages. Because the RC is not available in Hindi or Arabic, we encourage you to either install Windows 7 RC in another language or reinstall a prior version of Windows before the Beta expires on August 1, 2009.

Just restored a clients machine to a previous restore point, cleaned everything up (virus/malware wise).Only problem I'm having now is some of the elements within windows are displayed in a different language.. I'm guessing Arabic. Already checked Regional/Lang settings, checked HKLM\Sys\CS001\Cont\Nls\Language tooOnly certain items in the CP and various dialogs are in Arabic:How do you fix this??? I believe its keeping me from installing SP3 on this machine as well...

A:Wrong language (Arabic?) in certain dialogs/windows

Hi kisk:

My gut reaction was 'lol' at that screen shot; I've never actually seen the Arabic language pack in use. This was from a malware infection?? But let's address your problem, shall we?

First, let's start off by going into detail about your 'Regional and Language Options'. Was the regional options set to English? In the 'Language' tab, is the 'Text Services and Input Languages' option set to English as well?

Also, are you able to use a Win XP installation CD to repair Windows? If I'm not mistaken, there is an option to select your default Regional Settings there as well. Post back here with more details! Good luck. =)

I clicked something and was greeted by malware that created https popups in Explorer.  Below are the my attempts to correct.

1. Deleted the new programs from the change and remove programs.
2. Ran Mcafee - nothing noted
3. continued to get popups
4. deleted directories with same name "tool bars and extensions"
5. continued to get popups
6. downloaded Malwarebytes and found several pups and quarantined  all.
7. rebooted.
8. No longer can i log in, language seems to be Arabic.
9. I tried to refresh but would not work- it made me log in. this is where i noticed that the language was set to ARABIC 2.

The computer boots fine, I cant read the language and my password does not work.

Would a restore to a restore point reset the langauge? Is there any way to recover this PC?

The computer is a Lenovo laptop, running windows 8.1.

Hi all I've been browsing this forum off and on hunting for solutions to my many troubles with Vista over the last several months and I've finally had one that no one else seems to be having or solving For background problem Premium 32bit Home Arabic installation in - language SP2 pack? I am SP2 installation problem in Home Premium 32bit - Arabic language pack? running Home Premium bit on an HP laptop with SP currently installed When I SP2 installation problem in Home Premium 32bit - Arabic language pack? try to install Vista SP from my primary account I am the system administrator it informs me that 'Installation was not successful' due to to a 'system error' It then instructs me to run the quot Check for System Update Readiness quot tool CheckSUR to attempt to solve the problem which I have tried several times Not counting the time I installed it back in April when it first was released The error code in question was TRUST E NOSIGNATURE x b I have run through the entire list of options to try on the Microsoft official help page and have begun to try a few other things in order to solve the problem Most recently I attempted to install the service pack from Safe Mode where it informed me that the REAL problem was that I have a language pack installed that is not supported This confuses me because I don't recall ever installing the Arabic language pack have certainly never been to Saudi Arabia and don't speak or read Arabic The only language pack that shows up in the list of installed language packs when I run LPKSETUP as suggested on another thread here is English Though this WOULD undoubtedly explain why I've been seeing an optional update in my Windows Update dialog for Arabic language support for the Windows Help Needless to say I hid the update but it hasn't changed anything either Out of desperation I have even attempted to remove all the folders marked ar-SA from the Windows folder but this hasn't seemed to affect anything - the service pack still won't install and still gives the same error So you know what I've tried and something of what the problem is The other issue I've been having which may or may not be related is that my quot Turn Windows Features on or off quot dialog shows up blank Much to my annoyance But that's likely an issue for another thread And as it does not appear in Windows Update I have been trying to install SP from the Standalone installer Any help would be greatly appreciated - and thank you in advance

A:SP2 installation problem in Home Premium 32bit - Arabic language pack?

Is there anyone out there who can help me? I'm still struggling with the problem, and as Vista has been rather buggy for me lately I've started experimenting with Explorer alternatives. This has helped, amazingly, and quite a bit, but it's still only a stopgap measure. I need SP2, and the many fabled fixes it brings.

Still getting the same "due to a system error" message from my full boot. Should I try Safemode again, or is that just going to give me the same issue about the language pack? Does anyone know a way to get rid of one of those things?

Or should I just be waiting for the multi-language installation of SP2 in the hopes that that will work? Considering that I only have English listed as installed, though, that seems like a sad option. . .

If Russian is installed in Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, then you may not have one of the Cyrillic fonts set for the uses you mention.

I have been provided a windows XP rig from my Uni and the specs are great. The windows XP installation is in Chinese though. Is there any miracle software out there to change it to English. I really dont want to reinstall windows because all I could find in english here was 98 1st edition. Also the machine is a local proprietry system and formatting would more than likely effect the warranty.

XP Home Edition and this is the first time I have used it. I am getting errors and cant read them. Dont think I can keep this thing alive much longer. I will truly be isolated without a poota. Help

Any ideas ??

this is a translation resource for you to use its in french but its all I have for now and its easy to use
http://www.foreignword.com/fr/Tools/transnow.htm

it will translate from chinese to english. just cut and paste. (entrez

and that the `langue cible`is (anglais) then click ÀLLEZ! and it will translate for you.
I`m hoping that this will be useful for you and I`m really sorry I can`t be of more help for now but I`m sure you won`t be long and you`ll have more better help.

I am using XP SP2. I added a second language for keyboard entry via the Regional and Language Options entry of the Control Panel. Even though I set it to English, the date (month, day) appears in the other language. This appears in every program that shows the day and month, including the clock on the system tray. The date and time are correct, it is just the language used for day and month.

Does anyone know if this is just a quirk in XP, or if there is some way to correct this?

Thanks,

Hello friends,

I'm studying Arabic and recently purchased a program for acquiring it. Unfortunately, it won't work unless right-to-left language support is implemented.

I don't have a windows cd, and from what I have read this is common as XP came installed on my computer. It seems I simply cannot get a cd from anywhere.

So, with no windows CD, i cannot install the required files. I have checked my hard drive, and my 'i386' folder does not contain the necessary files to do the installation. I have tried downloaded the individual files (I started with c_11021.nls, kbdth00 - 02.dll etc) but that wasn't going anywhere and I could find myself downloading hundreds of files that may not work.

So, can I install right-to-left languages without the CD? Is it possible to download the i386 folder from the internet? No updates on the windows site, and no topics that have dealt with this on this website.

I am trying to install the files for "Complex Scripts and Right-to-Left Languages" on an XP Pro SP3 machine. Windows cannot find the files it is looking for on the Windows installation CD. Being an OEM version of the Licence, I am assuming that the OEM vendor did not include these files on the installation CD.

Does anyone know how to obtain these files from Microsoft. I really don't want to get these files from any other source as they are system files and I would only install system files if they were the genuine Microsoft product.

I am able to provide Microsoft with the Licence and date of purchase details if required.

Good Day Folks:

Every time I open a Word file I get a message telling me that the file requires Macro Support Language. Since I have no idea what a Macro is (nor do I care to know) I would like to know how to correct this situation.

Please note that this problem has only cropped up since I installed a new AV application but I am not sure this is causing the problem. Before I jump all over them or uninstall the AV app I would like to make certain the problem is being caused by the new app.

As usual, any help would be appreciated.

I work in a Japanese firm and many of my users are japanese who use BB. The trouble is when they get a japanese email it shows as dots or squares its quite annoying for them. I have been asking my provider for japanese support for a long time and recently i got an answer!!

you can go to following site and download a multilingual client, install it on PC and the users should get emails in japanese now.

My neighbour has an old PC running XP Pro SP3 Greek with Office 2003 Greek.

She has just bought a new laptop running W7 Home Premium with Office 2007 Enterprise both English versions complete with Office Greek Language pack.

I thought it would be simple to copy her PST file to her new laptop, but Outlook 2007 doesn't recognise the Greek characters in Folder names or more importantly in her Contacts.

It doesn't make any difference whether I change the Default Language settings with Office Tools to Greek so menus etc are in Greek - it refuses to recognise the characters.

any ideas most welcome - this is a real problem for her as she has several hundred business contacts that are illegible :-(

I've been having problems with support Multi-language filename WinXP's multilingual filename support I'm running an English version of WinXP SP and have all the required font installed My default language for non-Unicode programs as set in the control panel is Japanese and I have English Multi-language filename support French Japanese Korean and Chinese Trad and Simp input method installed Very often but not always I will be unable to open some files that have non-English characters in Multi-language filename support the file name This includes filenames with Chinese Korean and Japanese -byte characters as well as alphabets with diacritics such as in French But as I said not all of these files are unopenable only some characters seem to cause the problem When I try opening these files I'll get a message quot avi file not found quot type of message and it would seem that the filename passed along to the program are corrupted and thus cannot be found The thing is that the programs I'm using to open these files theoretically support multi language operations For example if I try to open a file with these characters with BSPlayer it might give me a not-found error But if I drag these files into BSPlayer's playlist they will run normally I assume it's something wrong with Explorer's handling of the filenames This happens with several programs and several file types However not all programs have problem opening complex filenames For example the same file that causes problem with BSPlayer might be opened without incident in UltraEdit So how may I fix this TIA

Hello,

Basically, my problem is that I cannot open the Regional and Language Options in the Control Panel. I double click it and nothing happens. I have searched and searched but none of the solutions have worked. If anyone could help me fix this, it would be much apperciated. I personally think there is a problem with the registry. Also, I am a bit tech savvy so you guys can go ahead and lay it all down.

Thanks.

EDIT: Yes, intl.cpl exists.

Hi,

Well, during my installation of Win2000 I installed support for many languages, among them Hebrew (my native). I have a few programs that have an interface in Hebrew, and they all display the same problem: the Hebrew text in the message boxes is displayed as strings of question marks.

I have no idea of how to deal with it.

In my previous installation of Win2K I had experienced problems with files that contained Hebrew characters in their names. There are no such problems in Hebrew Enabled Win98. My Win2K worked fine with those files, but when I would try to burn them on CD I would get a message telling me they had invalid names.

Thanks,
Daniel.

I'm planning to buy a new PC with Windows 7 (English) and not sure what version I should buy. I need to be able to switch into Japanese language mode for writing Word documents and composing/reading email sometimes. I do not need the desktop, menus etc. to be displayed in Japanese, however. I've found some info on the Internet and MS web site but still confused:

1) I have read that LIPs can be installed on any version of Win 7 but looks like Japanese must be installed as a full install (no parent language). If this is the case, can I setup 2 user accounts and configure one for English and the other for Japanese?

2) Do I need to have Win 7 Ultimate or Enterprise edition to do what I want to do?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

Hi all, please help !

I have just formatted and reinstalled XP and SP2. I need East Asian language support however it just won't work. I know how to set it up in control/panel regional settings, and I have done so, but it is not working. However it does all show up as being installed in there.

I have the option to show the langauge support in the taskbar ticked, but it is not showing in the taskbar or anywhere else! I was going to try uninstalling East Asian langauge support and reinstalling, but that ticked box is faded out so I can't do it. Thats the only strange thing, otherwise it all looks right and is installed.

Is there anyway I can get round this and still be able to type Korean in webpages?

Thanks,
Paul

I'm currently using English, Japanese and Hebrew on my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium.

The problem I'm having is that Notepad seems to be the only program giving me trouble with using both languages.
I always have to change System Locale which is obviously not a reasonable solution.

When System Locale is set to "Hebrew" I get Japanese characters as squares.
When System Locale is set to "Japanese" I get Hebrew characters as a combination of Japanese characters and gibberish...

Any ideas how can I solve this problem??

A:Notepad multiple language support on Win7

The problem is that Notepad is just a basic text-editor which doesn't fully support multiple languages. You can try Notepad ++: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/features.html

Or use a fully-featured rich-text editor like Word.

hi

I have a form where two languages be entered at the same time, I have got the words and text entered in english and arabic , but when it comes to numbers and dates , it just stays as english . I tried through the control panel and change the neccassary but still the numbers stays english. If I completely in the control panel changed to arabic, all the english date and numbers are in arabic.

Is there a way that when pressing the ALT SHIFT the numerical also change to arabic ( text is fine in arabic ).

A:Arabic numbers

First, what program are you using?

it happens when you dont have an arabic font installed and selected as your text style. For example, if your default font is Times and you switch to arabic keyboard, it will let you type arabic but won't type the arabic numerals.

if you are typing in word, try to change over to an arabic font (not Adobe Arabic).

P.S. you will be able to type english numbers when you switch the keyboard to english and your font is an arabic font.

I installed Windows 8 Pro and installed an additional language(let's say it's B) pack, changed system display language to B, and system locale to B.

And I got infinite BSOD after installing some drivers(not related to language pack, just I made mistake installing old programs), so I 'refresh'ed the system.

Guess what, after the refresh, system display was set to English(united kingdom, which is default), AND system locale remained as language B.

This is the problematic part;
1.I CANNOT change system display language to B, it says it's unavailable.
2.The system regards the language pack is already installed because I can still use B as system locale.
3.I cannot reinstall or remove the language pack. LPKSETUP doesn't detect B.

SO i'm pretty much stuck, and I don't want to reinstall just to change the system display language.

Is there any solution to this(removing/reinstalling language pack)?

I just installed the Arabic keyboard through the Control Panel->Keyboard settings.

Arabic is written right to left unlike English. When writing on Microsoft word, the letters were written in the correct order, but the words are not being place in the correct order i.e. the next word is being placed to the right of the previous word when it should be on the left. The cursor is the correct type for right to left typing.

Hello darknight99 and welcome to Seven Forums.

My first guess would be your computer picked up some malware. Update and run a full scan with your resident antivirus and antispyware. Then run a couple of on-demand scanners (all free) like Malwarebytes, HitmanPro, SuperAntispyware, Comodo Cleaning Essentials, etc. On-demand scanners offer another layer of security because there's no such thing as an antimalware product that's 100% effective 100% of the time. If there was such a thing we'd all be using it.

I looked up the IP address showing in your screen shot. It comes back to Pakistan Telecommunication Company LTD in Punjab. Do you have any connection with that company like are they your internet provider?

A:Google start up in Arabic

Sometimes just clearing out all your cookies and Temporary Internet Files helps clear things up. Give that a try. It certainly won't hurt.

You could also type http://www.google.com/en and put it in your favorites. Then you don't have to type it out.

Hello,
I am trying to get the Arabic Phonetic keyboard, but I was not able to find it. Is it pre-installed in Windows 7, or do I need to install it? If so, does anyone know of any links for installation?

Hi all you savvy experts,

I recently bought a Toshiba Laptop in Saudi Arabia. It came pre-installed with an Arabic version of windows 7.

I have managed to change most of the language options to English under the control panel, but the core of windows is still Arabic, I see this with the welcome message in the beginning and some install/uninstall and error messages.

After contacting Microsoft support, they said that I should contact the manufacturer (Toshiba) and ask for a new OS in English.

Can anyone help me?

Kind regards,
Francois

A:Arabic to English Windows 7

Hi

As far as I know you have two options:
1/try to order original recovery installation disc on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
2/you must install own OS version using original Microsoft installation disc

If you use option 2 you must buy Microsoft disc and pay valid licence for it. All necessary drivers, tools and utilities you can download from Toshiba download page http://www.toshibamea.com/en/Download-Files

I run McAfee for my virus protection and come up with no viruses.
I run Win 7 ultimate 32 bit operating system
I just want the Arabic OFF my computer. Any help would be great!!!!!
Thank you!!!!!

I have been installing Portuguese PhotoStory 3 on my windows 7 machine.

It install OK. I reboot. When I invoke Photostory 3 I am expecting to find it in Portuguese, ... but its still in English.
I used the official PhotoStory3Portuguese(Brazil).msi

Here's the question:
Even if I install the Portuguese version, does it still look at the OS language when invoked and say "well, your OS is in English so I am going to display in English" ?

(ps: I have the same issue on my XP machine...)

My current workstation is running WIN XP PRO SP At one point it was being used by my Russian stepson who put a bunch of games etc on it that were in Russian After my own computer motherboard failed I cleaned this workstation up but didn t reinstall windows yet as I was hoping that this wouldn t be necessary Unfortunately when I tried to install the setpoint software from Logitech the splash screen and install instructions come up display install/updates in wrong specific Language language. in Russian The same thing also occured with one of my HP scanner programs Although I have the language settings set to English I Language specific install/updates display in wrong language. do have the Russian keyboard language support also available so that my wife can type in Russian sometimes But even though I have the language set in English and it displays on the task bar as being in English unless I switch it to Russian Language specific install/updates display in wrong language. I can t download updates etc on the software that is quot language quot aware NOTE I have called Logitech who didn t have anyone in their support area who could help me We found one older version of the setpoint software that was showed up mainly in English although a few of the choices for location etc were displayed in a Russian language drop down list even then I am guessing that there is some registry entry etc that the logitech and some HP software look at in order to provide a universal install program and the techs I talked too didn t know about Any help would be greatly appreciated nbsp

I have emulator that runs old school N64 games on computer and they can only be executed when in japanese locale but when i do that, my intel HD4000 graphics software all becomes in japanese.. along with multiple other things in context menu.

OHello,
I have Windows Vista Home SP2,
I need to change PC language from Norvegian to English,

Thank you.

A:My Windows Vista is Norvegian language, I need English language.

If you have the multi language installation disc, you can change the language during a reinstallation. If it is a Norwegian only, then you are stuck unless you can borrow an English installation disc and activeat with the key that is on the COA sticker (on the bottom of the laptop).

Hi there first time posting although I have visited your site many times in the past I'm running windows x localized to Greek and with Greek display language The core language is English and I installed Greek through windows update Recently I came across a problem that pretty much is described by the thread's title As a result the program files folder is displayed in English instead of Greek Other folders like in language folder is files display Program language than different users and program files x are displayed in Greek I've done some research and someone was suggesting that the problem relates with the desktop ini file in the program files folder In Program files folder is in different language than display language that case desktop ini was missing and the problem was solved by creating another one mine is ShellClassInfo LocalizedResourseName SystemRoot system shell dll - In my case the desktop ini file is not missing Things I've tried First I change the display language to English then back to Greek rebooted no luck Second I uninstall Greek language rebooted then I reinstall through windows update rebooted same result Third I deleted desktop ini file from program files rebooted still English program folder Fourth I used system restore and I selected a date before the problem occurred and then I decided to ask to this forum because guess what the problem was still there That was truly my last resort I know it's not a big problem but it's driving me crazy So any help would be hugely appreciated Thank you in advance

A:Program files folder is in different language than display language

It seems to me that it would have to stay English (or the language the coders named it) as the programs look to those folders and their exact names/wording for files to use. If someone made for example call of duty then translated duty to Greek and the code looked for duty, it would only find the translation and it would fail to find the thing its looking for.

I have no info to back this up but its my theory as why things like documents can change but not program files folder names.

I downloaded the Win10 Home single language ISO for a clean install on a new build PC and skipped the activation step during install. Now I need to activate. If I purchase a copy of Windows 10 Home in store or digitally, will I be able to use the product key in my current install without need to re-install?

I tried to phone MS support about this and they were utterly useless!

Thanks!

I'm running Windows 7 on a five-year old Dell Dimension E520. Because of my work I'm using MS Word 97-2003. (Don't ask!) I write in English, but have Italian and French installed to toggle occasionally. I never installed Arabic. BUT as soon as I type the keyboard flips to Arabic. I change it back, it flips again. I'm going insane. In Control Panel/Languages, etc. it only shows EN, IT, and FR as installed. BUT on the toolbar, lower right corner it shows EN, IT, FR, and AR. I can't get rid of it. I can't remove it from Control Panel/Languages, etc. because it isn't listed. I've run avast anti-virus, and two malware scans, malwarebytes and super-antispyware. Nothing shows up. Anyone, I would appreciate any help possible. Thanking you in advance

I am currently having a problem entering Arabic names and numbers into my contact database on Salesforce. I have tried to solve it using Salesforce's suggestions but have not succeeded. Their suggestions included:

Unicode 8 and 16: Although I had originally used 16bit and the problem remained.

Any other suggestions still end up with an issue regarding unicode. However, I have tried using both 8 and 16 and nothing works. Thus far, Salesforce have not been helpful so I would greatly appreciate any help here.

Thanks
