Preferred Solution: How to reset win 8.1 admin password on tablet?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Password types :

Power On Password (pop). this password can be reset by unplugging the cmos battery for a while, and plugging it back in.

Supervisor/bios Password (svp). this requires reading the eeprom chip (8 leg or 14 leg) with an electronic device by using another pc's serial port or by paperclip method if model type available.

Hard Drive Password (hdp). this is usually tied to svp, but not all the time. it requires special software and a library of known manufacturer's password. but can be cracked either recovering the data or wiping the data.

I am looking to replace my tired Linksys WRT54G router that is about 10 years old. I love the router, and its even better with DD-WRT on it, but I'm starting to have troubles with the wifi dropping all the connects for a couple seconds when running all my wireless devices. I have 3 smart phones, 2 tablets, 1 Chromecast, a smart TV, and Roku + a laptop or 3 in my house right now, and it seems like its getting to be a bit much for it.
I have had to completely re-flash the firmware twice this year to get the wifi working again, so I'm thinking its time for replacement.
I have been thinking about just getting the new WRT54GL for $50, but I'm also thinking it might be a good idea to upgrade the wifi technology past wireless G .
I'm wondering if my Tablet (Nexu 9), and our smartphones (Razr HD Max) along with the Chromecast will take advantage of the new wireless standards and higher speeds or not? If they will can someone recomend a decent wireless router that takes DD-WRT nicely in the sub-$100 range? Thanks!

A:Looking for new Wifi Router - Will Tablet/Smartphone take advantage of new wifi Standards?

I been programming in Android/Linux since 2010 and there is code that supports VHT is Very High Throughput. Right now the standards are HT is High Throughput .

As for DD-WRT firmware is like your overclocking your router pushing it beyond the OEM limits. I use to use DD-WRT but had quit many years ago since the routers that used that firmware would fail too much.

So best to buy a better business type enterprise router wired then you can use WiFi router as AP or just get WiFi AP(access point). To me WiFi Router is also Wired Router, but to use just a wired router and use WiFi AP through a switch is better. If one or the other goes you can easy replace them. Where as if the WiFi Router fails you would need to replace it.

If you really want to use DD-WRT then Look at Buffalo WiFi Routers some come pre-installed with DD-WRT on them. Frankly you really don't need DD-WRT today because newer routers or WiFi routers are much better built and offer much more power NPU = network processor units and 128, 256, 512, 1GB of RAM some have Dual Cores.

I have had a Nexus 7 (2012) 32 + LTE for the last 2 years and it has been a great tablet. However recently it has stopped charging again (4th time), the headphone jack is loose and only works rarely and the screen has yellow marks in all 4 corners. I mainly use my tablet for youtube, internet browsing and playing games. Since I want replace it with a similar sized screen I was looking at the Nexus 7 (2013) or the iPad Mini Retina. Which one is best for what I want? Not really bothered about the OS, just would like to general peoples thoughts.

Well as far as web browsing and youtube go I would say get the best priced one and not worry.

As for games and such I will say this, each library of games is getting similar but there are some differences between them so if both have the same things your looking for there then I would again default to the best priced one.

Last thing I will say is the screen is very important so based on that the ipad mini retina does have a better screen so if your after something very media centric then I would say if everything else before is met other than price if your willing to pay the extra the Ipad Mini Retina has a better screen and overall specs so it maybe the best option.

So in short I would say get the Ipad if price is of no concern because it has the more robust set for what your doing otherwise the Nexus is a better price alternative which will still be just fine!

Having recently bought an Archos 10.1 Platinum tablet it was nothing but trouble after I opened it on Christmas Day, what a hopeless pile of junk it turned out to be. Icons, keyboard & apps were totally unresponsive, wouldn't accept a screen lock code, wouldn't let me draw a keylock pattern or access the google play store, screen resolution awful, when it did let me use it, it crawled along at snail pace. I accept that for 99 you don't expect an I- pad air but you do expect it to work. I have just had a full refund from Curry's PC world & have purchased a Bush 7.85 tablet from Argos for 70, ( reduced from 100) & cannot fault it, really really impressed & they threw in a free case & 3 years accidental damage cover for 25. On my experience of Archos, do not buy & avoid this rubbish brand !

I have a toshiba satellite C870-11H. It used to ask for the password whenever it went to sleep. I checked and the system is still set to do so.

Some time ago I got fed up with the clowns at Microsoft thinking their latest update was more important than whatever I happened to be doing and destroying the work I was doing so they could load their rubbish. I set the system to ask me before doing an update. Well it doesn't bother to do that and now very rarely it does load an update without authority. Could it be that my system is now way out of date?

Is there a customer focused operating system that I could use instead?

Thanks.

A:Laptop stopped asking for password

Every OS is customer focused. Microsoft is for non-Mac machines and getting things done. Linux is more powerful but requires more techy-ness to use.

Maybe try Mac OSX.

But there's nothing wrong with Windows. Sounds like you have a decent amount of problems.
Run WIndows update, make sure it's completed every update.
Run CMD.exe in admin mode, run sfc /scannow

Hello all,

I use an ADSL modem for accessing Internet in my home. I think my wifi password is stolen. I wanna change it but I have a computer only in my office and use the Internet in my home by my iPhone. Is there a way to change that password with my iPhone or should I surely use a computer to do that work, please?

A:How to change the Wifi password of an ADSL modem without a computer

Hello abbasi ,
You can use your iPhone to log in the router and change the wireless settings, however this isn't usually recommended. If something goes wrong when configuring the wireless settings and you are not able to connect to the router you'll need a device that can be connected via Ethernet cable to restore the access.
If this router is supplied by your ISP you can ask them if they have remote access to it to change the password.
Hope that helps.

Removing the motherboard battery and waiting a couple minutes before replacing it should reset it to where you can gain access again. It should help you. If not then reset your jumper to clear the CMOS. You can get the jumper resetting instruction in the motherboard manual.

Hi,

My wife is pestering me to buy her a 10" tablet, which she'll use for surfing, watching videos, etc, and I wondered if anyone can please help me decide a good one for her. I never really delved into tablets before, myself being more of a desktop PC person. I decided to get her something Android based because it iPad seems to have its limitations.

What should I look out for when choosing a tablet? What version of Android, processor, CPU, RAM, storage capacity and screen resolution should I be looking for, do they all take SD cards or a means of data transfer, etc. She also wants the option to attach a keyboard to it. With regard to internal storage, I heard it's partitioned on some models so apps can only be installed in one partition and the other is for photos, documents, videos, media, etc; what minimum partiton size should we be looking at for installing apps nowadays. Can anyone recommend any models we should be considering?

Thanks.

A:What 10" tablet for my missus?

To make this simple. What Operating System you have on your PC or your wife PC. Should stick to what you have so you already know how to use it on the tablet.

Windows Users get Windows tablet
Surface RT, Pro, 2nd Gen (remember these cost more)
DELL has one for $299 8-inch. You wanted a 10-inch.

Now some Windows users have Android tablets because at the time there was much of choice even though Windows XP Tablet and Windows 7 Tablet options where available. Android tablets were used more.

If your both are on MAC apple get the iPAD 9.7-inch 4:3 ratio tablet. They do have 7-inch again 4:3 ratio tablet.

I have one Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit dual core 9.7-inch 4:3 ratio tablet. I use the touch pen with mine it's the same one for the iPad. Surface tablets uses digitize pen with 2 AAA batters inside.

A strange problem indeed.

Triple check your wiring is correct using your motherboard manual. Be sure the motherboard is mounted correctly on the standoffs and no grounds are occurring.

Faulty buttons on the case itself?

Reset bios to optimal defaults, clear cmos.

After that I would return the mobo.

I don't know for sure that it does, but if it uses any remotely decent form of encryption then you're going to need to remember that password... it's kind of the point of encrypting it in the first place. If anyone knows differently please chime in.

Hi there!

Straight to the point:

Tablet specifications:
- Manta Tablet PowerTab 10" HD MID1001
- CPU - Cortex A-8 1.5GHz
- GPU - Mali-400
- 3D OPEN GL V2.0
- Ram 1GB
- Android ver. 4.0.4
- compile number - crane_axmid-eng 4.0.4 IMM76D 20120803 test-keys
- kernel 3.0.8+ [email protected] #52

Problem:
- slow page load (if any!) - tested on default browser, chrome, opera, opera mini, etc etc
- no reaction for stopping loading pages

Thoughts:
- not a router problem (802.11n WPA2/AES)
- other android devices working well on that hotspot
- Google Play working well on tablet, no lags, no interference (same other online soft - skype etc)
- tried system restore, default settings, changing router settings

Techspot is my last hope. Help me!

What are the notebooks specs? -I have ran CS1.6 on an old computer with Intel PIII 450MHz, 512Mb SDRAM and nVidia 6200 (256Mb, AGP) so cs1.6 doesn't have that high requirements

i am unable to reset my router back to default username/password setting.ive been able to reset it in the past, but i cant remember what i did.

i have held the reset button down for 90 secs. then i unplugged the router while still holding down the reset button for an additional 90 secs. and finally plugged the power back in again still holding the reset button for an additional 90 secs.

ive tried switching between different web browser. default gateway is 198.162.1.1

tried using cmd prompt. used ipconfig /release. ipconfig /renew. just for the heck of it.

ive also read that this same model and version is giving alot of people trouble as far as resetting it goes.

honestly, im not sure what firmware i have installed. im not sure how to check it... if that may be the issue.

while trying to login to router via firefox, i get the security level 15 message

cant remember my username/password

A:Unable to reset linksys BEFW11S4 ver 4 router

Sounds like your router needs a hard reset, the following has helped me in some cases, but be aware, if these procedures don't work, than your router has gone bye bye, it's junk.

To reset your router to factory defaults, use the following procedure:

1) Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall.
2) Disconnect all wires from the router.
3) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
4) Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes).
5) Power down the router.
6) Connect one computer by wire to port 1 on the router (NOT to the internet port).
7) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
8) Power up the computer (if the computer has a wireless card, make sure it is off).
9) Try to ping the router. To do this, click the "Start" button > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. A black DOS box will appear. Enter the following: "ping 192.168.1.1" (no quotes), and hit the Enter key. You will see 3 or 4 lines that start either with "Reply from ... " or "Request timed out." If you see "Reply from ...", your computer has found your router.
10) Open your browser and point it to 192.168.1.1. This will take you to your router's login page. Leave the user name blank, and in the password field, enter "admin" (with no quotes). This will take you to your router setup page. Note the version number of your firmware (usually listed near upper right corner of screen). Exit your browser.

If you get this far without problems, try the setup disk (or setup the router manually, if you prefer), and see if you can get your router setup and working.

If you cannot get "Reply from ..." in step 9 above, your router is dead.

If there's some time left on any type or warrenty for this device, I would recommend using it, that is if in fact your router is dead.

Good luck.............hope this helps!

Hi, i'm considering purchasing a tablet in February i'm in the UK, and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good one for around 300-350. I will be using it for reading books(PDF/Microsoft Reader files), internet browsing, watching movies and maybe playing an occasional game or two. I really hate Apple so no Ipad recommendations please. Can anyone help?

A:Help with tablet choice

Sony s1 tablet is te best tablet out in my opinion. Has full android market so I'm positive you'll be able to find your reader, comes with original ps one titles like crash bandicoot, and can watch movies, it's around $400 for 16gb and I think $500 for 32 gb so I think that's in your price range of 300-350 just check with your local Sony reseller.

A:Radeon HD 5600 VPU recover has reset... no longer responding to graphics driver

When in safe mode, Windows is not using the graphics card driver. While it is in safe mode the graphics card is still being used. If it wasn't, you wouldn't get any display at all.

Download the current AMD/ATI graphics driver that is compatible with your operating system. Then uninstall the old graphics driver from Add and Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista and Windows 7). Install the new driver and see if that fixes your problem.

Go here for your driver: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

I am very very frustrated since I waited a while to get this motherboard from china. My last DFI board randomly died on me and I ordered this as a replacement because I wanted a decent 775 board. I worked on it all night tonight and despite it reading all the hardware... it will not boot unless I reset the cmos every time. On top of that... I can not get the bios to update... it doesn't read any of the 5 usb drives I tried (fat/fat32). Also I tend to get this grey screen when trying to flash it sometimes. I am beside myself at this point after fussing with it for hours on end and I really need some help.

A:How to set password for my IO Data Landisk?

you're into a bag of worms - - is this a personal LAN attached NAS or a commerical problem?

for background on the subject, see this PDF

The process to secure access to a NAS storage device is:

take ownership of the root folder and replace all children's permissions
create a group name which implies NAS-access
grant desired privileges to that group name
now go back and add your desired user-logins to the new group name
To revoke access, delete joe-user from that group list

A:Can't find this tablet

Might not be out yet, but the Motorola Xoom will drop to $399 at Staples soon. I too would like Windows tablet but Windows 7 isn't really good on tablet and Windows 8 won't be out until next year for Tablets. They say end of the year but then how much would the tablet be? That's issue. Overcharging for Tablet's that cost anywhere from $60 and up.

If you live in the USA you can go to any CVS Drug Store or CVS 24HR Pharmacy and pickup a $99 buck tablet running 700MHz, Android OS 2.1 with 4GB IS (internal storage) plus 32GB ES (external storage) 256MB RAM, 7" HD with 720p HDMI port, 2x USB one Full and one mini port. With that you can connect a USB wireless mouse or combo. There is even 3GB support. This tablet is made by the old Craig Electronics well it made for them. The good thing about this tablet you can root it and get Google Market on it. Once you do that you can access any app for it.

Now the deal breaker if you have anyone you know who works for CVS you can get the tablet for $60 bucks. If not with the floating around 20 to 25% off coupon you can also get it for about $77 to $79. Still not a bad deal. You also have 90 day's to change your mind and get your money back but wait CVS gives you back more if you use their coupons and thus you can walk away with $22 bucks in a CVS Gift Card.

Tablet looks like this:

Well other than the above is the Coby KYROS MID7015-4G both have the same features except the Coby has 800MHz, 1080p output. Can play 3D Games. $139 to $249

Next to that would be eLocity A7 1GHz Dual core, 512MB RAM with Android OS 2.2 same storage as the above, but you get CTS panel cost $299 to $349.

A:Power reset now, PC won't turn on at all

We just had a nice line of storms come through a few weeks ago.

I was extremely busy replacing motherboard and PSU combos on various customer computers, mind you after having fixed them, I STRONGLY recommended they buy a decent surge protector.

Turns out all but one were running straight out the wall.

I've come across one scenario where the motherboard survived a PSU failure, luckily for me that was mine about a month ago.

Generally a PSU fails, it takes the motherboard with it, if you have any other motherboard that will jive with your hardware, swap it out.

A:Creating a D-Link password

forget the CD - - doesn't do squat for this issue.

1) access the router using your browsera) use only a wired connection'
the default address for Dlink is: http://192.168.0.1
the default user/pwd is: admin/ <leave it blank>
2)once inside, set a new Admin Password and save it. This will restart the router and disconnect you from it - - just log back in
3) now go set the WiFi SSID and encryption as required

I have not changed anything on my computer and just logged in to receive that. It happened once before a few qeeks ago but when I turned it on the next morning it worked but its not fixing itself anymore. I have no idea whats wrong. Any ideas?

A:Fujitsu Tablet PC boot error

Have you tried to boot into Safe Mode? Tried to boot with Last Known Good Configuration?

Few more bits of information needed: What OS are you using? (W7(64/32) XP, Vista(63/32))

Seems like a few things can be causing this so if you can, find out what type of Hard Drive you have in the computer, go to the Manufacturers website and download their Hard Drive Diagnostics tool, also download MemTest 86(http://www.memtest86.com/). Burn both onto a CD, will need to make sure it is burned as a bootable(ISO) CD.

Test the hard drive and test the RAM(NOTE: Let MemTest86 do more than 1 pass, try and either leave it on over night or at least 4-6passes)

According to http://forums.techguy.org/windows-xp/380889-process1_initialization_failed-error.html RoxioGoback can be a problem.

Post back if you have any updates/questions.

A:Bluetooth device not found once Vista reset to factory settings?

Prior to resetiing? You mean you used the options to restore to factory condition? Then you almost certainly just need to re-install the driver for the blue-tooth device. Read the manual, or the website support for the laptop, where you will also find the necessary driver if you cant find it on the HDD or CD's that came with the PC

A:Can't remember password on router

If you read the manual, it will explain how to reset your router, and return it to default settings (including the default password). On Linksys it usually involves pressing the reset button, and rebooting the router while holding said button in. But check your manual first. If you don't have your manual, Linksys online will have it for you to read.

You'll unfortunately need to set it all up again, so make sure the first thing you do is change your SSID (wireless broadcast name), and setup security on your wireless.

A:HP Mini admin password unknown

You need to talk to HP, after changing the registered ownership, and may need a document about the fate of the previous owner. You may have to send it to a certified HP service center with a formal notice of change of ownership included.
As for TechSpot, there is a policy to not provide assistance with passwords.
What you want to do is usually very difficult in the best of circumstances.

There really isn't a valid solution. The D620 is unusually difficult to impossible for password repair, and the idea was chewed for a year. Solutions that supposedly work are perhaps illegal and certainly dangerous. They turned out to be a good source for malware and infestations without being helpful. All the solutions are as expensive as replacing the system board or the computer.

People say that you should Overclock in increments, but what if you memorized the Overclocking settings and jump directly to them after a CMOS reset?

A:CMOS reset then OC'ing right after

It will either work or it wont... no real way of knowing until you try it. Every motherboard is different, and some even allow you to save your settings in profiles, so you might experience a problem or it might work just fine.

Hey fellow techspotters, ive been dying to get my hands on the new tablets coming out this summer. I just cant decided on which one to burn my hard earned money on. So i would like to know your opinions and suggestions on which tablet would be best suited for a person like, well, us.

Heres my opinion: I love to modify, tweak and personalize my hardware and the software that runs on it. Right now the 3 contenders are the Archos 7 ( came out recently) the HP Slate and the Dell Streak. Both are out this summer, and i think all three are android compatible, but the Archos is only android 1.5 and even though the description on amazon says you can use the android market, it currently doesnt support it. So im most likely going to go with Dell or HP depending which one releases first and if it has android 2.2+ and the android market.

My mom has a Dell Dimension 4550 and we just got it fixed but it says there is no audio device and wont play any sound at all so i was gonna restore the optimized defaults in bios so i hit f2 and tried but i cant figure out how to do it.. does anyone know? oh an i tried hitting delete repeatedly like some other guy said to do and nothing happened...

A:How to reset defaults for Windows XP in BIOS?

Does the system have onboard sound or a standalone (seperate) Soundblaster audio card ?
It sounds like (no pun intended) that whoever "fixed" the system didn't reinstall the audio driver. You should be able to download the appropriate driver here
Audio drivers aren't at BIOS level, they operate within the operating system enviroment, so it's a fairly simple operation to download the driver, then run to install.
I'm assuming that XP's "Device Manager" ( Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager) is showing a yellow triangle/exclamation mark notification alongside the sound device. If correct, that would indicate that no driver (or a corrupt non-working driver) is present.

I just received a Compaq tc1000 Tablet PC from a friend in exchange for some computer help. What I would like to do is format it, and start from scratch. I have never used a tablet pc, so I am a bit confused on exactly what I need to re-install the OS. My friend did not have any of the restore discs, and I went to the compaq site to find drivers that were available. It only has drivers listed under 'xp tablet pc' operating system, but I am wondering if I would be able to put windows XP Professional on it and somehow integrate the drivers. Or do I need to contact Compaq and request a set of recovery discs, which I somehow doubt they would have with how old this system is now.

A:WinXP tablet edition help

Give Ubuntu 10.04 a shot. It comes with everything you need as far as drivers and the touchscreen will work out of the box. The only issue I have is the screen will not rotate when I fold down the LCD. It's free and http://ubuntuforums.org/ have all the info you could ever need if you have any issues. I installed Wine so I can still use some Windows software like Microsoft Office.

Hi guys,

I wanted to move some files to my laptop to save PC disk space (i have 80GB)
I connected my PC with laptop over LAN. There was no problems connecting it, but when i go to "Run" and type \\192.168.0.2\FolderShare, small window pops up with User and Password fields. I don't know what password should i enter. I've done this before, and i've never been asked for password. Anyone knows this?

A:LAN Password required

Use a userid/password that's already defined on the 192.168.0.2 machine and has access rights to the folder/files you want

/* edit */
Oh.. you also might be forced to create a non-blank password for the userid if it's currently blank. There's actually a method to turn off the non-blank password requirement but for your own network security, its best to use non blank passwords

I just installed an Asus P T mobo in an Antec with an i and I am having problems with the sw reset / power with Problem system panel connector power sw you know the thing with the power ground and reset ground that plugs into the case power reset wires If the case sits for a long length of time it won t power up I hit the power button and it doesn t do anything It s been doing this Problem with power / reset sw since the first power up after installation To fix the problem although temporarily I have to pull the system panel connector adapter out replug the reset wire the power wire and the led wire and plug the adapter back in Problem with power / reset sw Once I unplug it and refit all the wires it boots right up It doesn t happen in short intervals however I can shut the system down wait a few seconds and it ll power right back up Finally after I refit all the plugs on the system panel connector I have to change the boot order on my hard drives Don t know if this is related though nbsp

A:Problem with power / reset sw

Instead of unplugging the panel connectors from the motherboard, try switching the power off at the back of the power supply for a couple of minutes. Of course, the PC should be powered off at the time. Turn the switch on the PSU back on and see if it will start.

Hi,
i recently updated my system from an ati 1950xt to an ati 5770.
Now when i startup the system, i get the 1 long-3short beeps error, wich indicates a video error. When i wait a few seconds and press the reset button, the system starts up normally and everything is functional.
I only get these beeps when i do a cold boot. Not when i do a warm boot.
What could be the problem? I'm not sure if it could be the videocard itself, i cannot test it in another system.

A:Can't install OS on optical drive-less Portege m200 Tablet, no USB boot

You don't say which operating system you are trying to install but try using the other PC to install the OS and then moving the hard drive back to the tablet to install the drivers and programs. Of course, you will need a bootable operating system cd and you should download your tablet drivers from the Toshiba website.

When you got the "missing boot manager" message, evidently you were trying to boot from that hard drive but that's not what you want to do if you are trying to install Windows, for example. Change the boot order to CD first so it will boot from your OS installation CD.

Good evening. I was hoping that someone would be able to help me access the security code that I had encrypted my router with. I lost the code and have tried calling d-link to no avail. I tried entering th ip address for the router and it is asking for passwords (that I forgot).

How ironic, I've presently got the same issue

What I'm going to do, is use a pin (or pen) and push and hold the little reset button in (I think its 5 secs on mine)
The reset button will be located on the router somewhere (look closely, mines at the back)
Anyway, you will obviously need your Username and password for the Internet to be put back in the settings area, again (in the router)

OK, my subject line might sound cryptic! Here is my set up: first router (main) is connected to the cable modem and provides std addresses as 192.168.1.2 (base is 192.168.1.1) etc. I have a second router (same brand) as a gateway connected to my main. This second router base address is 10.10.10.1 and all that are connected to this one have manually provided IP addresses (such as 10.10.0.2, etc). The main one provides WIFI access as for the second one do not.

Now my question: from my laptop who uses the WIFI network, how can I reach or connect to the other network (the one that is managed with the router with the 10.10.10.1 address? The purpose? I would like to access the computer connected to it as if they were part of the WIFIed network. And be able to access the router management page. Any clue?

A:Cascading routers - how to access admin features from one to the other?

first some basics;

examine the router (the box itself). everything attached to a LAN slot will default to
routing upwards using the WAN slot -- that's a big clue as to what the routing tables looks like.

second; to manage the configuration of a specific router:
a) WIRE a system directly to it
b) login to the router config page using the current router's ip-address

if your network is
modem---router#1----router#2---router#3

then a system attached to routerX will route upward to router(X-1) and NOT downward to router(X+1)

if you wish to have ALL systems (wired and wireless) see and share with each other, then you have too many distinct address.
Leave router#1 as is. disconnect router#2 from #1 and wire router#1 to a LAN port on router#2, leaving its WAN port empty. Log into router#2 and disable DHCP.

Now do the same for the wire from #2-->#3 and disable#3 DHCP.

All systems (wired or WiFi) will get ip-assignments from router#1 and will be able to
ping and share files.

could someone plz tell me how 2 set a password so only i can download stuff on my pc step by step

A:How do I password protect downloads?

little fuzzy on your description.

Download usually refers to copying data from a webserver. If you have multiple systems with Print/File sharing active, then we use the those facilties to control
access to files on your PC. Is this way you are asking; how to control Print/File sharing access?

hi.
I watched a show where this graphics company was able to draw directly onto the monitor using a pen.
Can anybody please tell me exactly what type of screen this is? and how much does it usually go for?
Thanks

A:Monitor as pen tablet

Google for touch screen monitors.

There are lots of brands, sizes and prices for these things.

Good luck
