I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

If that's your graphics card, then the rest of the system must be ancient. I'm gonna go with 'NO'.

To test: download Steam and Team Fortress 2. Turn resolution and all settings to minimum. Does the game run acceptably?

I recently installed a Nvidia 6200 graphic card that I had in another computer. After I installed the card and
driver the computer began to have problems. It took forever for Windows 7 to load. The "welcome" page
would be on for several minutes be fore the desktop came up. Windows 7 freezes and the screen would go
black for several minutes then all would be back to normal. The computer I installed was very similar to my old computer running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with no problem. Is there anything I can do besides uninstalling the Nvidia 6200 card?

hey there,

so i've got this new nvidia geforce 6200 agp graphics card. i've fitted it into my motherboard and now i need to install it on my computer but the cd that was supposed to come with package is missing. i bought the card from a compusa closing sale so i can't return it and get one with the installation cd included. when add hardware wizard pops up it says "the hardware was not installed because the wiard cannot find the necessary software." the installation cd includes: geforce drivers for microsoft, microsoft directx 8.0 and 9.0, nvidia demos and desktop wallpapers. can i just go to nvidias website and download a driver and directx9 then direct the hardware wizard to those downloads instead of the missing installation cd? what should i do?

Today I bought a Geforce 6200 graphics card because my computer met all the requirements. When I installed in my computer and turned the power on there was a beeping noise and the computer screen was black. I don't know what I did wrong. My guess is my computer is not compatible or somethings up with the card or dirvers, I really don't know since this is my first time installing a graphics card. The requirements of this graphics card is: petium 4/III/II/celeron, AMD K6/Athlon. An Agp 8x or 4x motherboard. 256mb of memory at least. windows xp. a minimum of 250w power supply.
I have a AMD Sempron 3100+ 1.8ghz, an agp slot 3.0, 8x. a 250watt power supply. and windows xp. If you could help me out in any way I'll be very greatful. Thank you for your time.

A:Problems installing Nvidia Geforce 6200 agp graphics card

Power cable out
Push in the on switch (releasing all internal voltage)
Touch the frame of the computer (inside - and don't shuffle your feet -antistatic issue)
Take the card back out
Boot up with original onboard video
Go to system bios
Confirm 1st startup set to AGP
Change the meg to 256
Save and exit
Turn off the computer
Reseat the AGP card (push in securely - goes in a long way)
Put the monitor back to the AGP
Power cable back in
Turn back on

Check for overheating.

Also check that your psu is putting out enough power for your system.

If it`s a cheap generic psu. It won`t be capable of putting out anywhere near it`s rated output. Even a good quality psu will only achieve around 70% efficiency.

Look at this psu wattage calculator HERE

Hi guys..
Got this card recently.. I have a Intel P4 3.0 GHz and 1 GB of Ram.. I recently also updated my SMPS to 440W..
The problem is when the card is "ON".. Windows XP freezes halfway when its loading.. I read many forums but not many ppl have the same issues.. Most of em suggested to reload `ol drivers.. I've tried the latest one 178.24, 175.19 and 81.95.. Still the same problem occurs.. The best part is the comp only works in Safe Mode with good graphics.. Thats really sad..
Waiting for some "Good" help plz.. Im pissed with this problem.. Btw ive not done any settings in my BIOS.. so if thats to be done then plz do let me know..
Thanks & Cheers..

A:Nvidia geforce 6200

Well, if the card works fine in safe mode and not during a normal session than I would say it's most definitely a driver issue. Here's what I would try...

Boot into safe mode with card installed... make sure it's seated properly
Run Driver Cleaner Pro (download from Guru3D) to remove old drivers
**You may want to consider reinstalling/updating chipset drivers too**
Go into Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the driver entries from there (clean up)
Restart the computer; boot into Safe Mode again
Reinstall the latest drivers for the video card **after chipset drivers if you chose to update!!**
Restart the computer again; see if it boots normally

If the video card still doesn't work, you might have to update directX or download some Windows updates. I'd say if nothing works after that point, ask for an RMA... might be faulty vRAM or something.

Well i've had this video card for about 10 months, recently my Steam launcher has been telling me my drivers are out of date. I have also been working on my computer to try to fix a few quirks, in the process i had the brilliant i dea to go on a hunt for new drivers. The Nvidia site told me to go to Add/Remove hardware and remove the old drivers, so i did, when i try to reinstall the new drivers nothing happens...i click on the .exe i downloaded straight from the site but it does NOTHING. I would really appreciate it if someone could lend a hand.

Right now I'm running off my onboard card and its a huge pain, is there anything i can do?

but im just making sure that anyone doesn't know anthing different.
also if there are any other better deals out there let me know.

any feedback is appreciated

Hello Fiera,
There are a few things you can check, things like temp, Is your PSU big enough ?, is the on-board display adaptor disabled in the Bios ?, are all the other connections on the MB secure ?, were there any old video drivers on the system ?, i suspect that there may be more damage than you suspected.
Let us know how it goes, good luck.

You can't get rid of DX10, but you can install DX9 from here
Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime

Your card is an entry level card for DX10, so it will work with DX10, but probably won't play too many of the newer games, if any. It is basically to give you access to the Vista Aero component.

Try downloading and installing the latest Nvidea driver for your card here

I have a Gateway FX It has an ATI Radeon HD Issues with NVIDIA GeForce 6200 I had two monitors going just fine I Issues with NVIDIA GeForce 6200 can run WoW with most of the graphics options turned all the way up and I still get fps I had a third monitor so I decided to put it to use I went out and grabbed my NVIDIA GeForce and tossed it in my PCI slot I plugged in my third monitor and it works The issue is that whenever I utilize my new video card my frame rates get destroyed With my third monitor going my frame rate on WoW drops below and has trouble staying above If my third monitor is completely idle then my frame rate is fine Only if I have a program running on that monitor are there any issues Also whenever I log into my computer with three monitors on it takes forever When I first turned on the third monitor all three screens went black and it took forever for them to come back I already tried updating all of my video card drivers I'm guessing it has something to do with the driver Any help would really be appreciated

A:Issues with NVIDIA GeForce 6200

Lol, this is obvious. Your GeForce 6200 is just rubbish at gaming. That why this is happening. If you would like to have 3 monitors, and can't use your current video card to power all 3, your best bet is to just buy a new video card.

i recently purchased the GeForce 6200 LE 256MB to retire my old GeForce4 MX4000 64MB video card.

and also i also been reading about the LE series of the GeForce line, calling it the "Lame Edition".

Although i have seen a increase in my 3D games, so it shouldn't be as bad as most proclaim it to be.

so, i just need a bit of insider on this...

is it really worth having??

A:NVidia GeForce 6200 LE (is it good to have?)

Shadow: Here is my two cents. If YOU are happy with it, what difference does it make if the reviewers say it's a Lame Edition?
The same holds true with all your hardware,
unless you want to spend all your time and money being on the cutting edge, which is always just one step ahead of you, and so is impossible.

okay i have had this NVIDEA graphics card for some time now. probably three years or so. it was working awesome until a virus hit my computer hard and i had to reset the computer to factory settings. my VERY old computer. it is a compaq presario. i have no clue what year. It even had a very old internet explorer. like 4 or 5. so anyways i have reinstalled my graphics card and now when i switch the monitor to the graphics card, the screen turns half black, and half white. can anybody help me with this problem?

A:NVIDIA geforce 6200 trouble

Can you explain the problem in more detail? What exactly do you mean by "when I switch the monitor to
the graphics card"? Also, what exactly do you mean by "I had to reset the computer to factory settings"? (system restore?)

It still didn't work, so just a little while ago I figured disabling and re-enabling the graphics card using the device manager couldn't hurt. I disabled it, and the integrated graphics turned on, but then when I re-enabled, the screen went black. I since rebooted the pc a few times to no avail. I heard the windows startup jingle, so it seems the only issue is the graphics not displaying at all.

Brotip:

If you disable PCI graphics, you take the GPU out, and you plug your monitor to the motherboard output, you do NOT leave it on the GPU.

Hey guys i have a nvida 6200 oc PCI 256mb graphics card edition running windows 7 professional 32bit, and for some reason the driver stops responding ( your kernal driver has stopped responding and has recovered) and occasionally it will blue screen and say its dumping physical memory when im trying to run Windows Media Center and other programs, so is there another driver that i can get that will stop it from doing these things? or is it that the card is simply to slow?

A:Nvidia 6200 Kernal driver error

Try visiting Nvidia and check if there is an updated driver for your video card. If not, try using the original driver that came with your video card.

Hey guys,

I recently got this video card, Nvidia GeForce 6200. Great video card for the price, however as i read in the reviews....The drivers that came with it do not support video play. I was told to get the driver 84.21 for this video card. However, I've searched and can not find any driver I can download in relation to this. If any one can help, i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

I have an Nvidia GeForce 6200 graphics card but dual view does not work.I only have to connect either vga monitor or an s-video cable for watching on tv.I can't use both at the same time. The single view also does not work.My system is a windows xp professional service pack3 32bit with 2gb ram.My motherboard is a Foxconn P4M800P7MA-RS2H(UYHP64700076) with Intel Celeron D processor.I've been using an Nvidia GeForce MX 400 0 before and it worked very well on my system.

A:Solved: Nvidia GeForce 6200 problem

The S-Video output will only output a clone of the primary display. I don't believe that the S-Video output can be used as an extended desktop. There are also resolution restrictions for S-Video (640x480...sometimes 800x600).

Dual View is for cards with multiple outputs (ie: VGA or DVI outputs).

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Video card that I recently did a driver upgrade on. The driver version is 6.14.11.6375 Dated 10-14-07.

I just did a PC Pitstop Performance check and the results show LOW video performance of 14.42MPS. This SUCKS!

A similar test run just (2) weeks ago showed 93 MPS. I'm pretty sure that was with the old driver.

Why would a new driver KILL the video performance ????

See system specs in my sig.

A:NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache

Hi. Show us your device manager with display adapters and system devices maximized please. You can type "device manager" and "snip" for those apps in the start menu search box. Hit enter after each.

There is a later driver from NVidia's site but that won't help you much if your problem is what I suspect. Good to download that for now anyway.

You can attach screenshots to your post using the paperclip.

Please fill out your system specs on here because that will be very helpful to diagnosing and repairing the problem.

your problem is with your monitor refresh rate.

your monitor going into standby mode is its way of saying that it does not support that high of refresh rate. while in safe mode windows loads generic video driver at 800X600 @60hz. go back into safe mode and set your refresh rate to 60hz and apply/ok settings and reboot.

A:Black and White 2 freezing with NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 card

quite possibly the lack of power in your comp. make sure you have the most up to date drivers for the vid card and the most up to date direct x. a neat little tool that you can use for analysis is the direct x diagnostic tool. go to start, run, and type in "dxdiag". (no quotes) this'll tell you the main things that you need to know about your comp. Feel free to post it here in the thread.

I've been getting the BSOD when trying to open pictures or videos I thought it was due to installing DirectX but I've since reinstalled Windows RC and started fresh again Now get this Everything worked fine I used the 'generic' video driver that gets installed with Win RC and just upped the resolution to x It worked and looked great even pics and vids worked but anything that was graphically taxing became very choppy and pixelated especially videos So I installed the drivers that came w the Gfx card everything runs smooth and crisp but I'm no longer able to look at pics or vids I get the BSOD every single time This leads me to believe that the Gfx card driver is the issue Any known fixes for this Here's 6200 Nvidia Screen Blue GeForce Causing the Minidump of the issue http www file tmfgk - - dmp Gfx Card Nvidia Geforce Mb card installed PCI using Nvidia GeForce 6200 Causing Blue Screen Analog VGA Out OS Windows RC -bit Computer Specs are in my profile

Hi all,

on my girlfriend's pc I just installed a Nvidia Ge Force 6200. After rebooting, Seven installed the driver "Nvidia Ge Force 6200 - WDDM etc."
I instead installed latest Nvidia drivers from website (280.26). After this, windows performances show a score for Windows Aero only of 2,0. My question is: installing the latest drivers from website, is really better than keeping the ones installed by Seven? Thanks in advance and sorry for my English. Bye.

A:Doubt about best drivers for Nvidia Ge Force 6200 AGP 512Mb Ram

lucatomjoad, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Just installed one of those in my kids computer to replace a dying 9800 Pro (step backwards in performance, but $30.00 was cheaper than a new computer), and it gets the following,

Can't say how it would do with the latest as I avoiding using it after seeing some of the comments about the 280.26 here and elsewhere so went with the previous WHQL driver,

NVIDIA DRIVERS 275.33 WHQL

Also what was in it before and did you remember to uninstall the drivers for it before making the swap? If you did uninstall the previous cards driver, depending on which chipset is on the motherboard it may also take a re-install of the AGP driver (part of the chipset drivers, not from the cards driver) for the new card/drivers to work properly.

I'm not a gamer, so wait for one to respond, but I don't think you've got enough processor, or RAM for those applications. You didn't mention your power supply, but maybe not enough there, either. First I am running a Dell Dimension I just bought a PCI card made by EVGA I plugged it in and booted up my computer popped the included CD in and installed the video drivers from the CD I then installed the most recent nVidia drivers for the series and rebooted my computer When I finished starting up again I was at x with bit colors and it will not let me change the resolution or color quality I have been trying to figure this out for damn near hours now Lots of people have been saying I gotta do something in BIOS but there is nothing about my video card in BIOS so I don t know about that I d really like to get this thing working and I am really hoping that it is something I Trouble PCI installing 6200 card just forgot to do rather than a faulty card I have tried disabling the integrated intel card but that did not work EDIT I installed the beta drivers and that fixed it nbsp

I am looking to upgrade my PC. Ideally, if I can re-use any of my current hardware I would like to so I can save a few quid.

I currently have a GeForce6200 running in my PC. This sits on an AOpen, MATX, MK77M-8XN, SktA, FSB400/DDR333/S-ATA/ATA133, S & G & LAN, ViaKM400 Motherboard, running an AMD Athlon 2500+ CPU.

I am looking to upgrade to an AMD Phenom X3 8450 running on an Asus M3A ATX AM2 770 SB600 8Gb DDR2 SATA 2 Raid GigaBit LAN Audio Motherboard.

Can anyone tell me if my GeForce 6200 graphics card would be compatible with this new set up?

Thanks

A:GeForce 6200 Graphics Card

You are probably using an AGP graphics card now and the new motherboard supports PCI-e graphics cards so if that's correct then no, it is not compatible with the new motherboard.

A:to anyone using geforce 6200 video card

I bought a pny 6200 hoping to get one that could be unlocked into a 6600. To my disapointment i got the 64 bit version and i wasnt impressed by the performance in the latest games, high resolutions are simply not possible. It wasnt long after i ditched it and got a 9700 which im more than happy with for now.

Obviously if you do buy one and get 128bit version then it will be a different story.

Thanks
Sean.

I have a Nvidia Geforce 6200 8x AGP. 512mb of RAM. Whenever I scroll down I get a flutter in my screen, like I'm going too fast for it.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling my video card several times and even switching it out and still the same result. I've checked the device manager and found a yellow x next to next to Nividia Geforce 6200.

What do i do?

A:Grahpics Card Upgrade Compaq 6200

Hi: I can't say whether or not that card will work in your PC. I have read in this forum that the last series of Nvidia cards you can install in PC's of around the age yours is, are the 600 series. The 700 series may require a newer BIOS revision than your PC has. You cannot upgrade the P/S even if you wanted to, as it is proprietary. So you will have to live with what cards will work with the existing configuration. I recommend you stick with what HP offered as an optional card in the 6200 Pro series, which was the AMD Radeon HD 6450. http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02779491 Read the reviews before buying, because I have no idea if the game you want to play will work well with that card. Most 64 bit graphics memory interface low profile graphics cards are not designed for playing video games. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121439&cm_re=hd_6450-_-14-121-439-_-Product If you want a nvidia graphics, card, then the GT610 should work just fine too. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130815&cm_re=geforce_gt_610-_-14-130-815-_-Product

A:Problems with 3DFuzion's Geforce 6200 PCI card

I'd say there's a very high chance it's your power supply. Many Emachines have very poor power supplies. It seems a large quantity of emachine power supplys fail right around when the unit is 2 years old. I'd replace the power supply and see if that helps.

Here's a pretty good power supply, that isn't too expensive.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me some info about these two cards... I currently use the Fx 5700 le (agp) I do know the "LE" stands for light edition so it is not the best on performance. I have had this card for awhile and am able to run games such as Lock ON, Need for speed most wanted IL-2 Sturmovic, MS flight sim.. For the most part performance is ok. I bought a new card on E-bay today and was hoping to find out if I did the right thing. It is a FX 6200 256 mb AGP. It was new in the box, and I only paid $20 plus $7 for shipping so I figured I would try it. Does anyone know anything about this card???

I personally think you'd be better off getting a Geforce 8400GS, or ATi HD4350, or Geforce 210GT for that kind of money. I've no idea which is better of the three, but they're all under 50 bucks.

I would have recommended the HD4670 if it wasn't over 100 bucks, which is shocking given the price I paid for it here in the UK a year ago!

Hi
I know that my system is outdated compared to nowadays PCs but it is really sufficient for my humbled needs and it was working fine under XP but when I jumped to Windows 7, I found out that video performance is so poor in a strange way (same exact videos played great under windows XP) and after i did a lot of exhaustive goggling, I just came up with that the reason might lie in the combination of using a DX9 card under windows 7 (PS I'm using the latest 195.62 driver from nvidia). Can someone give the drivers that came up with windows vista 32 so that I try them on the hope that it can help with the performance issue.

PS I use realplayer (and I tried different players but still same performance issue) and Klite codec pack

A:Solved: PNY GeForce 6200 graphics card installation problem

It looks like you are using an installer utility that comes with the graphics card that is causing a problem.

Let's try installing the driver a different way. Insert the install CD and exit the install utility if it autoruns. Open Device Manager (right click MyComputer, click Manage, click Device Manager). Right click the unknown graphics adapter and click Update Driver or install.

If the hardware update wizard asks to connect to the internet, choose No. Then choose install the software automatically. Windows should find the driver on the CD and install it.

Express & one of the deciding factors of my purchase was the discrete graphics card nbsp On the T s I chose NVIDIA NVS M Optimus Graphics GB Intel Core i - M Processor nbsp I was thrilled to have more than MB of dedicated graphics memory for my T420s Nvidia Graphics Card & Express Card Question... games nbsp Upon receiving my laptop though I ran the Windows Experience Index and saw that the T420s Nvidia Graphics Card & Express Card Question... lowest score was the graphics card which is identified as Intel HD Graphics Family and has MB of dedicated graphics memory nbsp After my heart started beating again I checked Device Manager and found under Display both Intel HD Graphics Family and NVIDIA NVS M listed as working with up-to-date drivers nbsp When I configured the laptop online there was no mention of hybrid graphics so I'm not sure why I have an Intel Graphics card on the machine nbsp My current laptop that I was looking to replace is a T p with a NVIDIA Quadro FX M graphics card and only that NVIDIA card is shown under Device Manager and in the Windows Experience Performance Information nbsp Thinking that perhaps disabling the Intel card would cause the NVIDIA card to take over I disabled that through Device Manager nbsp My screen went black and after feeling quite stupid I rebooted my computer nbsp The default Windows Display driver kicked in allowing me to see well enough to get back to Device Manager and enable the Intel Graphics nbsp I counted myself lucky that I wasn't stuck with a working computer with a blank screen but I'm still confused about why the NVIDIA card isn't the only display adapter on the machine and why it isn't the default main adapter nbsp Most importantly will it be usable to run my games nbsp My second question is regarding the PCI ExpressCard slot nbsp My aim for this machine was to have a HDD to store my data I selected the GB RPM HDD and a SSD to boot and run my programs from nbsp Another reason for choosing this machine was the comment on Lenovo's site stating that a user booted his T s from a solid state drive in the PCI ExpressCard slot which was exactly was I was looking for nbsp I need the CD DVD drive so I can't put the second hard drive in a caddy nbsp During configuration I chose the option for an Express Card Slot amp in Card Reader amp Smart Card Reader nbsp From what I can tell the Express Card slot is not connected to the Card Readers and I will not lose use of those ports nbsp When I opened the computer up to install more RAM I saw what is labeled in Lenovo's hardware manual as the Express Card slot apparently empty - which is great nbsp Now I need to figure out what kind of SSD to look for and on that I'm kinda lost I'm guessing that my ExpressCard slot is mm and PCI form factor rather than USB but I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a not-incredibly-educated guess nbsp I'm also not sure where mSATA comes into play for me if at all nbsp Looking at SSDs on sites such as newegg com I'm unsure of what form factor to choose - ExpressCard PCI-E mSATA and or nbsp ----- nbsp The tech specs of my configured T s copy pasted from the order status are as follows nbsp I hope this means more to you than it does to me nbsp Part A nbsp nbsp VBB INTCRI - MPR GHZ M nbsp nbsp VBB GENWIN HOMEPREM nbsp nbsp nbsp which ultimately doesn't matter as I'll be booting from Windows Enterprise on my SSD A nbsp nbsp SBB GW HP US ENGLISH A nbsp nbsp SBB HD LDBCKLTANTGLDSPMBBBRD A nbsp nbsp SBB NVD PNS OPG GBICI - MP M nbsp nbsp VBB GBPC - DDR SODMM nbsp nbsp nbsp which has been removed and replaced by two GB st... A:T420s Nvidia Graphics Card & Express Card Question...

The T420s with Nvidia GPU has two graphics card that can switch on the fly, if you only want the discrete gpu, just go into your bios menu under graphics there is an option to select discrete. With the Nvidia Optimus (which is what you have), it can switch between Nvidia and Intel GPU depending on your application needs. This will allow you to conserve battery or power. Expresscard slot 34 mm slot is occupied by the card reader that you ordered. What you are talking about within the ram slot cover, is the mPCIe slot, which can be occupied by a mSATA drive. http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T420s-T400s-T410s-removal-of-4-in-1-SD-card-...

Hi. I built a new computer and the Sims 2 keeps crashes and restarts. Can some one help me. I have:

ASUS p5n32-e sli plus
Intel core 2 6300
1022mb ram
2 Nvidia GeForce 7600gt sli 256mb (pci-e)
SoundMAX hd audio card
DirectX 9.0c

I can play Doom 3, Call of Duty 2, Quake 4 all on high. I just can't play Sims 2. I have the lastest drivers.

Do I need a better card.

A:can't play sims 2 on a Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT

If you can play those other games without crashes or problems, it's quite possible you have another problem... likely northbridge or cpu temp/voltage issue. Sims 2 is more cpu & memory intensive than most games.

I'd start by downloading and running Asus's Probe II software and let this run on the desktop while trying Sims 2. This will allow you to monitor your CPU temp, voltages and system ambient temps. With good cooling, neither temp should ever go over 50C.. with ambient temps >50C may be a sign of an overheating Northbridge (occasional problem on that series motherboard, but easy to fix).

Lastly, does this problem occur when you run single-card vs. SLI? This would be the next test to see if it's a profile/NVIDIA driver problem with SLI + Sims 2. If it works fine in single-card mode, you should report this issue on the NV forums in hopes of a fix in drivers.

I have an nVidia 6600 video card.
But my system won't play video files, whether it is mpeg, wmv, avi or real video... It plays them for a minute or two then the whole system just shuts down. I have already installed WinDVD, DiVx, real etc.

It plays audio files just fine. Playing games also dont give me any problems, Doom 3, Far Cry work beautifully at pretty high resolutions!

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

My system config is:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
ASUS A8-NE PCI-e mobo
1 GB DDR 400 RAM
200 GB SATA HDD Seagate
256 MB PCI-e nVidia 6600 Graphics Card
16 x DVD Writer Samsung
400 W power supply (SMPS)

I'd be most gratefull if I anybody could show how I could solve this problem.
Or even if somebody could just point me in the right place to look at.

Hi all,
I am new to this forum..
To start, I had just bought an ASUS computer.. wanting to play games like borderlands 1, left for dead 2 etc. But, when I was very trilled waiting to start the games, both of them had blacked screen and forced shutdown my computer every time after the game has been launched!
I had done many researches in the net, changing the registry values in directx11, reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers (halfway black screen upon reinstalling), changing the compatibility to Windows 7, adding missing physxcudart_20 to the games...None of them works..T-T
Any help is greatly appreciated!

A:Unable to install Nvidia driver and also to play games on Windows 8.1

I'd recommend to do the following:

Perform a clean install of Windows

Re-install Nvidia drivers
Download CPU-Z and GPU-Z (or any CPU and GPU monitoring software)
Monitor both while attempting to play games - check for temperature spikes.
Doing the above will help you rule out a lot of potential issues that are causing your problems. The clean windows install will get rid of any OS related issues. You never want to touch the windows registry unless you really have to, especially if you're not very well versed in the way it works. It can cause way more harm than good. With that said, the system crashes were probably due to a bad driver instillation and was causing a BSOD - most modern systems are set to restart / shutdown when this happens. You'll never know it happened unless you changed the configuration to stop the automatic shutdown. It could also be temperature related, if your CPU or GPU overheats, it'll typically trigger a system crash as well and result in the same BSOD sequence.

Let me know how it goes after you've tried what I've mentioned.

A:Upgrading Agp Card, New Agp Card Is Nvidia 5500fx...

Hi
About all I will say is that the diff between a 5200 and a 5500 is not really noticeable in games, you need to get a 58/5900 or a 66/6800 to see any improvement. Sorry.

Recently I found a bug in the nvidia forceware 61.55 drivers that are listed as newest on nvidia's website. It seems that this version of forceware affects the TV out function as to make the output black and white instead of color.. I have found it affects my geforce 440's, 5200's, and geforce2 cards. Since my higher cards are ATI, I have no other geforce cards to test on. Those with nvidia cards using TV output may wish to use a older version driver available at www.guru3d.com..

If anyone else can verify the problem, please reply..

Firstly I solved this fairly early on but it caused a few problems after trying to get far cry to work I checked my Nvidia settings and found screen and SLI Nvidia black that SLI was off pair of s and it had been on before happpily I enabled it and oh boy did it open a can of worms Restarting there was terrible tearing on startup- desktop had glitches all over a strange effect where the desktop Nvidia black screen and SLI shrunk slightly and behind was what appeared to be an icon that I couldnt see too well OK I thought lets uninstall drivers and start again Which didn t work Everything I opened froze up or led to a black screen CADing and choosng task manager gave a black screen as well Tried opening nvidia experience which decided it would spin away for mins and do nothing so couldnt get drivers that way I tried googling for new drivers google froze then black screen No messages just a black screen Change SLI back Nope same thing remove drivers Freeze at opening control panel or computer properties and black screen Restart Now the black screen pops up but i sometimes get a perfect mouse cursor on it I went to safe mode and screen was fine so not a card problem Managed to uninstall drivers and dl new drivers then install them Opened up in normal mode all good select SLI mode and back to normal working fine anyone else had a similar or know what went on It was weird never had anything like it before and couldnt find an explanation for it nbsp
