Upgrading From 4890 2GB

Q: Upgrading From 4890 2GB

Hi Guys,

I m considering upgrading my system starting with my graphics cards but I am wondering if the improvements will be minimal.

Radeon 4890 2GB - 256bit, 2GB GDDR5 RAM, 2.1 PCIE

I am currently running 8GB RAM and an I-7 nephalem. If I upgrade to a newer 7850 card with similar specs or even an R290 I would basically be buying access to the new DirectX with something like a 20-25% speed bump judging from some benchmarks I read over. Keep in mind I am using PCI 2.1 so I won't gain the full speeds of PCIE 3.0 in the new cards.

Will upgrading give me a worth while performance boost? Better use of money to wait till I am ready to build a new PC?

Just mulling over this info with some curiosity. Let me know your thoughts.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi I have recently bought a new monitor xfx Ati 4890 that is p and figure I am going to Ati 4890 xfx need a new graphics card something a lot bigger I am considering the ATI XFX edition and just using or crossfire later when I purchase a new PSU The websites both XFX and ATI say W minimum and W for crossfire I don't want to crossfire just use a singular card In theory I should be fine but I hear a lot of people say these bigger cards need a lot more W's etc So my question is with my setup click my system drop-down box would a XFX run fine I know my PSU is low W but I am planning on getting a - W later Since its a relatively new card I haven't been able to find much information on it like others that use it with a certain psu etc OR If I cant run a I guess just Cross Firing my existing Thanks

A:Ati 4890 xfx

I have an XFX 4890 and it runs great with no problems on my system. And I only have a 550W power supply. See my system specs.

You shouldn't need anything else more than a good 650-700watt power supply for a crossfire setup with that card.

PS - have a look at this link - 2-Card SLI Question. In it I talk about the 4890 power requirements.

If anyone here happens to know unlikely im building a new computer and am going for a fairly high power quality computer But I have the issue of price I ve got the computer itself thought out and everything is ready to go but now I seem to be conflicted on the graphics card I plan on doing some fairly high graphic gaming and I want a good card that can do it Now at first I had planned on buying a ATI Radeon HD But the manufacturer Saphire doesnt offer the card on newegg anymore and I just went to look at the XFX one Same card little more price but the reviews on it are horrible Driver issues dying problems overall badness This prompted me to start doing some research and in the past few hours every website has pointed at the s competitor the GTX as being the better card The problem is the is still over on newegg and the card I m looking at is only 295 4890 vs The computer I m building is 4890 vs 295 AMD based with a Phenom X II processor so I can only wonder if the will perform good on the computer seeing as how everyone is using Intel s processors and upgrading to Win and I dont plan on moving off XP until a long time from now So my question is where should I be moving towards Or where would be a better place to ask this gt lt Does everyone on newegg only write reviews if their product was bad and the HD would work fine Or should I find a lower end NVidia card seeing as how the current equal to the is still over Does anyone have any personal experience with the two Im fairly worried about this comp seeing as how my current one is slowing in performance this is the first computer I will be fully building AND the computer I m building is going to be a part of my graduation project nbsp

Just wondering if am the only one with this issue? There is no ATI Overdrive tab in my CCC, it's missing. Is there anyone else here with ATI 4890 and W7 x64 that can confirm this? So i know if it's a local problem or hopefully a driver problem.

Hi guys I ve recently been contemplating on changing my GPU It s an XFX GT and holds its own quite well when using DX I ll be switching to Windows sometime soon and would like a new GPU For all purposes the Radeon HD will be beyond my budget 4890 275 a or The GTX Radeon HD So I ve narrowed it down to cards Palit GTX or PowerColor HD Most of the reviews I ve read seem to put the GTX on top However I d like to know whether the newer Catalyst drivers have upped the performance for the HD Both cards cost about the same here Which is a better performer in terms of raw FPS power consumption and temperatures I The Radeon HD 4890 or a GTX 275 must mention that I m running an AMD platform with a Phenom II X and ASUS M A T-E My PSU is a Cooler Master Extreme Power W which I intend to use for now That s why I m concerned with power consumption Any inputs are greatly appreciated Thanks nbsp

I use to own a lot of HP products but one by one they end up in the trash can for different reasons. This is my last HP item and this one will probably end up like its brothers but this time it's not because of crappy manufacturing but for support issues. HP doesn't give a $?%? about their customers and I know that from now on it will be ABHP (anything but HP) for me.

Anyway my question is: does anyone around here did manage to make a similar HP scanner to run with W7 x64? And when I say run, I mean flawlessly without any weird patches or things like virtual pc. have a great forum

You need OCR software(optical character recognition). When you scan a document it usually makes a jpeg file same as a photo so you need software to convert it into a text doc that you can edit. Here is a link to start you of.I have not tried any of these so caution and trial and error. one else might know some good free software.

Hey guys The fan on my has been making wierd buzzing noises on off for some time now at least months It seems to only do it though when the fans rps slows down and the fans spinning around speed If i raise the speed of the fan the noise goes but im thinking that the fan will eventualy fail i have contacted XFX about it and told them They fan they would do? XFX 4890 problem...what said that if i send it out to them they will have a look at it for me But do XFX still make the series for replacement or would they just replace the fan Also what im concerned about is like i said it does not do it all the time it just randomly starts buzzing and what im worried about is that when it arrives at XFX and they test it If it does not make a noise them they might just send it back to me and say theres nithing wrong with it What you guys think EDIT Anyone know why my card idles at Mhz iirc it used to idle at Mhz on the older drivers

A:XFX 4890 fan problem...what would they do?

My experience with XFX has been that they will test the card and repair it or replace it. In your case probably just replace the fan.
However I have sent in a card they no longer had in stock and they sent me an upgrade card.Fabe

Hey guys

i few months back I got a ATI 4890 OC, love it. I play BC2 on it all on high setting, crysis on high settings as well and it runs smooth. since then i have seen the flood of videos cards that came out in the market, the ATI 5000 series and now I think ATI 6000 series. I've checked the reviews and see that they of course are more powerfull, but with todays game standards the 4890 works just fine, i dont mind upgrading for better graphics but to the naked eye is it really worth it upgrading right now?

I love excellent high quality graphics but i would hate to spend a few hundred dollars and get the same image quality. unless im wrong games aren't demanding stronger graphics cards right now, maybe crysis 2 but thats long times away?

I'm looking to build a new decent system for gaming seeing as my old vista system's gpu has died. Should I go for a 5770 or a 4890? The system as it stands is:

CPU: AMD Phenom II 550 Black Edition @ 3.1GHz

RAM: G-Skill Ripjaws 4GB (2x2GB) 1333MHz

HARD DRIVE: Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA II 7200.12

GPU: Gigabyte ATI Radeon 5770 1GB GDDR5

CHASSIS: Antec Two Hundred

PSU: Antec True Power New 650w

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 OEM

A:New system - 5770 or 4890?

Performance-wise: HD 4890 > HD 5770.

But since the HD 5770's based on a 40nm chip, it'll consume less power and produce less heat.

The HD 5770's basically a 40nm HD 4870 with DirectX11 support.

I have finally decided to pull out the old Nvidia hd 7900 x2

They were good cards back in the day, but they are severely outdated.

After some research, my first natural choice was the Nvidia 275 which performed reasonably better than the Radeon 4890 in field tests

However... I am having second thoughts about going with the Nvidia 275 due to the launch of windows 7 and directX 11

From what I understand, only cards capable of running directX 10.1 will be supported by directX 11

(The Nvidia card is not, the Radeon is)

That being said, would it be a wise choice to buy the Nvidia 275 knowing that it will not be supported by directX 11?

How much of a performance gain could I expect from switching my 4890 for that?

A:AMD Radeon HD 6970 vs 4890

Well first off, in the way of compatibility the 6970 is a dx11 card where as the 4890 is a dx10 card. This opens up tesselation and a whole slew of cool dx11 effects improving games that support it.

the new card also has a much larger number of streams in it. This will lead to much better shading support, and even on the fly video conversion (if you use that feature)

For me it wouldn't even be a matter of performance (even though the 6970 would HAVE to perform better)

I can tell you my 5850 totally blew my sli 8800gtx's away. The single 5850 totally destroyed the performance of two dx10 cards.

Hi and welcome to TSG.

You haven't given any information about the specs of the PC in question!

What is the make and model of the PC, assuming its a pre-built system like a HP, Dell, Acer etc?

If its a self / custom build, what is the exact make and model of motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPU, power supply etc?

Are all the drivers etc fully patched and up to date?

I wouldn't rule out heat, I had a 8800GT previously that would crash if it went over 75C but only in some games, it was very strange. Keeping it under 75C and it ran perfectly fine all the time!

It could be a hardware issue with the GPU itself, could be the PSU, maybe something else.

I want to upgrade the graphics in my desktop (see system specs) and I've been seeing 4870 X2s on eBay from sellers with very good feedback for around $150-$200. Is it possible to Crossfire my 4890 with a 4870 X2? If not, I will probably still buy the card because dual-GPU and 2 GB of GDDR5 isn't exactly slow

Another issue is I'm not entirely sure if the cooling of my case is enough to do that safely or not... or even if my PSU could handle a triple-GPU setup.

Install the driver from ATIs site.

This is the cause of your issue:

"I Installed all the Windows 7 updates so i got the latest drivers."

Don't ever allow WU to update your graphics driver. Do it yourself always. It's also a good idea to monitor your GPU temp using ATI Tray Tools. That app has great overclocking abilities too should you choose to use that once your system stabilizes and issue is fixed.

While, you could have a defective card, you should try reinstalling the ATI drivers. I would suggest the following steps after downloading a program called Driver Sweeper (Google search): –

1: Go to your control panel and uninstall programs. Find the driver and uninstall it.

2: Restart in safe mode and run Driver Sweeper, and sweep out the ATI driver section.

3: Restart
Normally you should not need to use driver sweeper, but given your issues and to eliminate any corruption in the originally installed drivers, I would strongly suggest that.

4: Install new drivers.

Hi and merry christmas to all,

My xfx 4890 was a replacement for my 9800gt and they're both hdmi ready. I used to watch blu-ray with my old 9800gt in 1080p resolution and no problems. With my new 4890, I tried the 1080p but the monitor says "input signal out of range" with black borders around the monitor. So im stuck in 1680x1050.

I have a hp w2207h widescreen lcd monitor that supports vga and hdmi.

The connector im using in my 4890 is a converter dvi to hdmi it's from my 9800gt. the xfx didn't provide a hdmi connector.

I've also updated the ati ccc driver for my card.

Hi everyone!

Was just wondering if anyone could point out the differences between these 2 Powercolor HD 4890 models:

Are there any benefits of using one over the other?

Any inputs are greatly appreciated.

A:Powercolor HD 4890 Model Question

Just the cooling apparatus, no big difference as far as I can tell. Which ever is cheaper would be my choice, but if they are the same price, I would use the non-reference model and hope they made a different model because it's marginally better. It also looks less bulky, something I appreciate.

However I cannot go beyond resolution 1920x1440
It recognises the videocard as Standard VGA Adapter

When I start Catalyst Control Center, I only have 3 entries which can slightly be modified:
- Hydragrid
- Desktop manager
- Multi Desktop

CCC says in the helpbox:

I have windows x and using the newest official Catalyst drivers from ATI for the Radeon GB video card I own However I have issues? or 4890 screen tear sync? 1GB noticed some little issues in games Two games Im currently playing Trine and Mass Effect show what I call a tear its not anything missing but when your running around you see a visible line move its way up the screen like your watching a fast refresh on PC-Anywhere or something It does 4890 1GB screen tear issues? or sync? not effect the game at all or slow it down and its not of the time its when your running or moving side to side etc Always while in motion I thought maybe it was a vsync issue so Checked that in the graphic settings for Mass Effect but no difference Does anyone know what Im referring to if there is a proper name and how I can go about reducing it or eliminating it in games In Trine it does it as well when IM running and jumping around side scroller appreciate your input and help

A:4890 1GB screen tear issues? or sync?

No, you were right about the screen tearing being a vsync issue. Check your 3D settings in the Catalyst suite and try setting it to "Always On"

However, the settings in CCC don't always over-ride game settings.... it's worth trying anyway

I just got a new HP Scanjet 4890 and it's primary software, "HP Solution" version is conflicting with something.

When I click on HP Solution, my computer monitor goes black for about 4 seconds, and then it lights up again, but all the icons including the HP Solution screen, are in harsh, abnormally vivid colors. When I close that program, there is again a 4 second darkness, and then the screen lights up and is perfectly normal again.

My system is Windows XP on a Dell dimension 4500. the monitor is a Dell E196FP 19-inch Flat Panel Monitor.

Since this is my first gaming PC, I know basically nothing about how long a graphics card will last before needing an upgrade to keep playing newer games. I'm getting a bit worried with the 6000 series already out, and I'm still using a 4000 series. I have the money, I just do not want to buy a new card until it will actually do me some good.

A:ATi Radeon HD 4890 - How long until an upgrade is needed?

Hello there, mate

Well, the HD 4890 is similar in performance to a GTX 280, it's better than a HD 4870 of course but is less powerful than a HD 5830, GTX 285 and GTX 460.

You'd need it if you run games at extremely high resolutions with extremely high details on graphics, or if you're an enthusiast

The HD 6900 Series are actually top on the line, HD 6970 is between the GTX 480 and the GTX 570.

But again, if your games are perfect now, you don't need to upgrade

Also, HD 4000 Series supports Dx10.1, HD 5000/6000 series have full Dx11 support, that's another thing to have in mind.

I booted Windows 7 a few minutes ago, and saw what made me think something might have happened relating to my graphics card. Right before the log-on screen came up, I saw a lot of flickering/static, which I thought was REALLY odd because the PC is connected to the monitor with a digital signal (DVI). The computer froze, at this point and I had to reboot. I'm posting from the same PC, so needless to say the reboot worked but I'm just a bit worried...

It could be a loose connection or the card not booting up properly. Check the Fan on the card ensure its moving.

are these 4890's OC'ed? blue green spots/squares are often overheated/overclocked/ memory that is damaged. try slowing it down and see if the green spots stop. that will give you an indication as to if its the memory or not.

Hi everybody.

I just bought myself a Powercolor Radeon HD 4890 yesterday. After installing the card and the required drivers everything works like a charm. However, every time I start up my PC I get a message saying that a new device has been found on my system. On checking Device Manager I found an "Unknown device" entry under "Other devices".

I'm attaching a screenshot of Device Manager.

Are there any drivers I'm missing? It only happened after removing my old card (after uninstalling all its drivers) and installing the Radeon.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

A:Unknown Device In Device Manager After Installing Radeon HD 4890

I have a Powercolor Radeon HD 4890 (I also have a Gigabyte 4890 and XFX 4890 in two other PCs). I think you need to install the latest ATI Catalyst Suite. You may have installed the driver only package. Anyway, I think it has to do with the HDMI capabilities of the card. High def sound is built into the card (the HD part of the card name) and the HD sound driver is part of the Catalyst Suite. When you use an HDMI cable to an appropriate display, HD sound is also transmitted through the same cable from the Radeon graphics card.

Of course, be sure to install .NET Framework 2.0 as it is required before you can install the full Catalyst Suite. The HD sound driver won't install without it. At least I had trouble before I installed .NET 3.5. I went to Windows Update and installed .NET Framework 3.5. 2.0 is included in that update and 2.0 wasn't available separately.

I've managed to upgrade some of my home PC's from Win or Win to Wn without any significant problems but I am having major difficulty upgrading one of my PC's It is running Win Home -bit and when I originally ran the Windows upgrade advisor it indicated that I could not upgrade as my NVidia GEForce graphics card was incompatible with Windows I tried various workarounds using suggestions on this and other sites to upgrade with the GEForce card but none were successful So I purchased and to 10 upgrading card graphics Win after Upgrading - incompatible installed a new graphics card - an AMD Radeon R which should be Win compatible Upgrading to Win 10 - after upgrading incompatible graphics card I then re-ran the Win upgrade advisor - it still said that I couldn't upgrade as the quot GeForce card quot was incompatible - even though it was no longer installed I checked the Upgrading to Win 10 - after upgrading incompatible graphics card Device Manager and the graphics card was clearly showing as being the AMD card I then explicitly uninstalled any NVidia drivers software using the Control Panel Program uninstall - still unable to upgrade to Win I also ran the Wagnard tools quot Display driver uninstaller quot and removed any NVidia software drivers - still unable to upgrade I am using the latest drivers from the AMD website I also tried to upgrade using the Media Creation tool and a Win image from DVD previously this also failed to work and gave the incompatible graphics card error this seemed to work up to a point but after a reboot it wanted me to select a keyboard layout but neither my usb keyboard nor mouse would function and the installation froze On rebooting the OS reverted to Win and the keyboard mouse worked ok I want to upgarde to Win rather than do a fresh install but am now unsure what to do - I keep getting the quot Incompatible GEForce graphics card quot message anytime I run the Win advisor tool even after downloading it again from the MS website Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this issue and finally upgrade

I bought Windows 7 having come from Vista. However, there is a BIOS update for my system. The new BIOS update states: The BIOS updates the fan control algorithm of the system, and turns the fan on at low volume while your notebook PC is operational. If you are currently experiencing any symptoms on your notebook PC, please contact HP for support. It is located here:

I'd love to flash it but not sure if it will ruin my computer as it's more than likely not designed for flash when Windows 7 is on it or do you's know any better?

I also have 2 blue vertical lines going do the right hand side of the screen. I've seen loads of problems but no solutions. Has any fixed this HP problem?

Cheers folks!

A:Upgrading BIOS after Upgrading from Vista to 7

The BIOS is the stuff that happens BEFORE Windows starts to load.
Do you have issues with overheating or with the fan? If so, the BIOS update is for you.
Also, BIOS flashes are dangerous - and you can turn your computer into a paperweight by doing it incorrectly. In short, if it ain't broke - don't fix it!

The type of lines that you describe on your screen are usually caused by hardware issues. Send it in for repair if the system is under warranty. If not, then get an estimate from a local computer store - it may be cheaper to live with it.

Should I stay with XP or move to Vista or 7.

Any help would be appreciated.

You may want to think about upgrading to a 64-bit system. Windows 7 or xp 64-bit. It's dual-core processor functionality.
Edit: You need a dual-core processor for 64-bit.

And I'd personally stick with XP, but you may want to go with 7 as it's built more for 64-bit and it will be serviced longer than xp which will get the boot soon.

that's all I look for.

Hi all.

I have read almost all there is about upgrading to 10 from 8.1 version, but since I have old SSD 60GB I somehow doubt install is gonna be happy with just 15GB free space to upgrade to new windows.
Recently I read that MS will give option to just clean install windows 10 and just enter win 8.1 key. Problem I have here is that it said it's for Insider build so now I'm not sure if it's only available to insiders, or to all people that have eligible windows?

Long story short: if I'm not insider, will I be able to activate clean installed win10 with win8.1 key? (note-I haven't upgraded yet).

Thanks in advance, Natsuke

A:Upgrading from 1TB to 3TB

1. Welcome to Tech Support Guy
2. Forget for the time being the new 3TB and the second 3TB with Steam
Take those out
Boot only on the 1TB
If you cannot get to load windows or indeed if you get a
master hard disk error press F1
check the cabling to the drive and check that the boot priority is that drive
If you still cannot get a boot - see if the drive is recognised in the setup BIOS
Try another SATA presuming it is SATA - data cable
If that is still a disk error boot from the manufacturers tesk disk utility or if they do not offer one use Seatools for dos on a CD and boot from that and test the disk. Only basic tests will run unless it is a Seagate or partner drive
SeaTools for DOS is a comprehensive, easy-to-use diagnostic tool that helps you quickly determine what is preventing you from accessing data on your desktop or notebook computer. It includes several tests that will examine the physical media on your Seagate or Maxtor disk drive and any non-Seagate disk drive.
Please post the results
PERHAPS I should have added that if you know beyond doubt the drive was failing then - you can I think safely presume it has and your only chance now is to connect to another computer usb or internally and try and get your data saved
What did you try to use for the clone please

Although not completely computer illiterate i dont have much knowledge on building systems, when upgrading CPU, do i need to look at more than the socket? the "125w" in the new CPU is worrying me, how do i find out whether my current motherboard will be able to handle it? or is the power not an issue?

According to 'CPU-Z' my motherboard is "Acer - WMCP78M" however when reasearching i couldnt find much information about it, so i opened my case up, on the motherboard it says "acer da061/078l-am3".

Many Thanks,

I want to upgrade my old PC's around the house, but don't know what parts I need to buy! I need to know the following:

Dell OptiPlex GX240 CPU socket type

Dell Dimension L800R RAM and CPU socket type

Dell Dimension 2350 CPU socket type

A:Upgrading my old PC's?

The Dell Optiplex GX240 and Dell Dimension 2350 desktops both support Pentium IV socket 478 processors with a 400 MHz frontside bus speed. The maximum supported processor speed is 2.80 GHz.

The GX240 supports a maximum of 1 GB of RAM and uses PC133 modules.

The 2350 supports a maximum of 1 GB of RAM and uses DDR PC2700 modules.

The Dell Dimension L800r desktop has an Intel Pentium III 800 MHz processor and is from the Windows 98/ME days. I'm not sure if its processor is upgradeable.

It supports a maximum of 512 MB of RAM and uses PC100 modules.

I've been resurrecting and upgrading old desktops for years, so I'll give you my 2 cents worth.

Even with the fastest Intel Pentium III or IV processor and the maximum amount of RAM that you can put in them, they will struggle to run Windows XP by today's standards and requirements.

If you have any thoughts of installing a newer Windows operating system in any of them, forget about it.

I would NOT invest any money in upgrading them.

Hey guys
I have this laptop
It's really bogging down hard after a couple years, and I've tried running defrags, CCleaner, Anti Virus, AdAware, Malware cleaners, whatever I could find online to give me advice to try to speed things up. I'm just wondering if it would make any sense at all to upgrade from 4GB to 8GB to try to speed things up? I don't play any games on it really, and don't do any video editing or anything. I really don't think I'm overtaxing it like crazy, but it does get really damn hot.
So, should I upgrade my RAM or is that loads of RAM for my purposes and it would be pointless to upgrade

Looking to upgrade my RAM from 4 gig up to 8+ Gig. Not sure what I would need to know other than current RAM in the rig is PC2-6400 400mhz 2gigs. I was looking at a the user manual and found this:

System Memory support
Supports dual channel DDR2 533/667/800, and up to 1200 MHz SLIReady
Memory. Supports up to 8 GBs DDR2 memory.

However I have no clue as to how I would go about selecting proper memory amount / type that would support it, pin amount, ect ect. Could I use:
8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Or would that not be compatible.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks,

A:Upgrading to SSD

You'll see some gain in boot speed, but that shouldn't be a real consideration for your purchase. Too many people get hung up on boot speed. If your speed drops to 20-30 that really a big deal?

You're disk access speeds will be much better. If that's a problem for you now, or you think your currently drive is slow...then upgrade. If not, and you are happy with the laptop's performance, in terms of disk won't get your money's worth.

Even if you have a Dell OptiPlex GX280 with the largest case size, it's too old and doesn't have upgrade options with the necessary "horsepower" for gaming.

Even if you maxed it out with 4 GB(4096 MB) of RAM and installed a graphics card and installed a more powerful power supply, its processor type and speed and its motherboard limitations would be a performance bottleneck.

Hi Canadian090,
Assuming your first OS in on the C: drive, you can install your second OS on the D: drive. Then, you can boot to one of the two installations and then use this guide to edit the BCD stored data, adding a new entry for the second installation of Vista. When you do, point it to the drive letter the booted copy of Vista recognizes and the other OS as being on the D: drive. You may also want to rename the OSes while you're at it to differentiate between Vista x86 and Vista x64. Reboot and, with a little luck, you'll be given the option of the two systems from then on.

Hope this helps.

A:Upgrading my PC

A better video card would be a great idea but that would cost you nearly $200 alone and the psu needs replacing period because it is poor quality and will damage other components as it degrades. A nice Cpu upgrade would be to an FX 8320 and a video card would be Radeon R9 280 X:
then add in the Psu and this is way more than you want to spend so maybe just do the Psu and the Cpu?
Yo0u don't need the 750 watts but what you do need is a quality Psu which is why I am showing you less wattage but better quality Psu.
