Preferred Solution: No signal crash, sound loop, occasional blue screen.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello everyone I ve built my new computer a week ago and I m having a problem and I need to know ASAP if any part is defective to do a RMA When I play games League of Legends Cod my computer randomly crashes on a black screen and a looping bug sound The monitor says Monitor going to sleep I ve tried to run OCCT on my GPU for about minutes degrees C withouth problem I ve done one games loop crash playing and sound Black screen while or two pass in Memtest to check my RAM too Any thoughts on this Maybe it is my PSU I ve heard about the NVidia HD audio too Here is my rig Windows Home Premium bits CPU Intel Core i - K PSU COOLER MASTER GX Series W CASE COOLER MASTER HAF MOBO MSI Z A-G LGA Intel Z GPU EVGA SuperClocked -P - -AR GeForce GTX RAM G SKILL Ripjaws X Series GB DDR HDD WD Caviar Black TB RPM MB Cache I just checked my voltage with HW Monitor and my v is kinda low Is this really a psu problem nbsp

A:Black screen crash and sound loop while playing games

If that +12v rail voltage is accurate then that would definately be a problem. Check the voltage in the BIOS as it could be a simple case of HWMonitor not reading the sensor output correctly.

Can you give us a DXDiag report.

Click Start and type "dxdiag" (without the quotes) in the Run box.

When the dxdiag window opens click the Save All Information button and save the text file to your desktop or another location so you know where it is.

Then copy and paste the entire content of that text file into a reply here.

Edit My PSU died so I assume sound Black requiring reboot loop and crash screen that was the cause of the issue this whole time a half functioning power supply This issue occurs whether I am gaming or not but gaming causes it Black screen and sound loop crash requiring reboot to occur more often In fact my pc crashed typing this post so I'm currently rewriting it all When I go to reboot the computer I notice CPU fans and top back are off I'm not sure if that means anything but yesterday I had to reseat my GPU ram etc to get my computer bootable due to this issue I'm not really sure what to do I've tried many things I've had this black screen issue for months now RAM is fine memtest doesn't detect any issues I have tried using only one of the ram sticks at a time as well I have tried reseating the GPU putting it into a different slot Newest GPU drivers Temps are good all under idle Tried Windows Windows HDD and SSD Making sure all the PSU cables are fully in their place along with every other cable in the PC Have taken out all of the PC parts out and rebuilt my PC Booted PC without CMOS battery Installed a mobo speaker and all is normal there I've tried using the other GPU video headers Furmark gets my GPU to c under maximum load My cpu I believe gets to c I can't find any memory dumps since it's not a BSOD But I could potentially be looking in the wrong places Event Viewer only tells me that the PC turned off unexpectedly I'm thinking of sending the GPU to MSI it's still good for warranty and all but I don't even know what exactly is causing this weird issue

New fresh install of windows 8 updated to 8.1 with all my motherboard drivers etc up to date. Display drivers are the newest Omega drivers from AMD.

I installed steam and decided to install csgo to my ssd/C: drive since it's my most played game. Now I can play the game fine but after a short amount of time the game and display drivers will crash giving me a black screen and sound loop. I let it sit there for a while so I could get a bsod and crash dump to happen.

Since then I also updated my ssd to the latest firmware and reinstalled my AMD drivers and the problem still persists. I have no other games installed at the moment so if you wan't me to check if the crash happens with other games let me know.

Here is my debug info

Hello all I m fairly new to this site and am looking for help regarding a recurring desktop and turning signal" upon "no desktop occasional Receiving on screen-freezes. issue I m not Receiving "no signal" upon turning on desktop and occasional screen-freezes. very computer savvy so I ll ask that you bear with me if anything I say comes out a bit derpy I would greatly appreciate any help in regards to the following problem I recently got a new dual-monitor desktop built by a friend and it worked fine for Receiving "no signal" upon turning on desktop and occasional screen-freezes. the first week or so A few days ago it started getting hectic whenever I tried to turn it on in that it would frequently do one of two things The screens would both go black and post quot no signal quot Both screens would freeze in place and it would recognize no actions aside from turning the desktop off The quot no signal quot issue only appears when attempting to log in or right after turning the computer on whereas the screen-freezing would happen at any given time whether it be logging onto the computer checking facebook or playing Diablo III It currently takes me - attempts to get it running properly each day Everything in the computer is new so it shouldn t be a problem with bad cables connecting the monitors to the tower or the ports that the cables are connected to I ve tried moving the cables to different ports on the tower and it doesn t really seem to be affecting the problem Nothing is out of place or unscrewed inside the tower so it s probably a software issue The same friend that built the computer suggested that I get the latest nvidia drivers since the most recent ones were available on the th whereas my current nvidia drivers are slightly older I tried downloading the most recent one but then I received the screen-freezing problem Whenever I attempt to download anything video-related online the comp simply freezes up again I can play youtube videos and Diablo III fine just not download anything significant off the internet My friend tried working with the comp as well but he s at his wit s end and suggests that we get outside help in diagnosing the problem so he recommended this site I d be grateful for any advice in tackling this issue Computer specs are as follows Windows Ultimate Service Pack Intel Core i CPU -bit OS x GTX video cards GB of RAM

Hello and Welcome to Bleeping Computer.

I have some questions about the dual screening

Do you have the exact same models for your monitors or different monitors. Try setting the "Native Resolution" The Native Resolution is the recommended screen size.

Are you cloning or Extending the Desktop

I see that your SLIing two GTX460 cards.

Do u have Two monitors on a single card or one monitor on each card?

Hello, I have encountered a troubling problem with my ASUS Windows 8 Laptop. Every time I turn on the laptop, it says "Preparing Automatic Repair", then goes into complete black, then the Blue Error screen shows up for about 1 second, then restarts and the cycle keep repeating itself. I am unable to boot from a recovery USB drive, so I an unable to get to the Advanced Startup menu. The laptop did not come with a CD.

Any help is appriciated.

Hi Kenzilla02 & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

Could you please post a photo of the Blue Screen so that we could see if there is anything which can help us in diagnosing the problem. You cannot get into the Safe Mode as well?

Anyways, you would need an installation disc for the repairs and to check what is going on.
Let me know how it goes ^_^

Hello,

Im a brand new member, so thanks for any help in advance. This machine is my primary windows media center. It has an occasional blue screen. but the real problem is after the blue screen It reboots but cannot find the boot drive until I ctrl/alt/del or power off and back on again and then it is fine. This has made consistent recording sometimes difficult I have lived with it for quite a while but now I have a little more time to trouble shoot. Thanks for your help and if you need more info please let me know

Let's collect some more information: I'll have a look at it and help you try to resolve the problem. Download the following 2 files and save both to the My Documents folder:BSOD_XP_v1.3_jcgriff2_PROD_.exe - a system file collection application provided by jcgriff2 autoruns.exe - an application provided by Microsoft SysInternals. Go to the My Documents folder and run #1 (BSOD_XP_v1.3_jcgriff2_PROD_.exe). (That will also run #2.)It will take a little time to complete: Please be patient and wait for it to finish.A new folder named TSF_XP_Support will be created in My Documents. Zip up the newly created TSF_XP_Support folder.Right-click on the TSF_XP_Support folder > Send to ... > Compressed (zipped) Folder.
The newly created zip file will be located in the My Documents folder. Please upload the zip file to a file sharing website of your choice and and post a link to it in this thread so that we can access your uploaded zip file.Note: The BC forums will allow a total attachment size of only 512 kb (and what you need to attach will exceed this limit).See the suggestions in the following links for recommendations on file sharing websites:http://lifehacker.com/388284/best-online-file-sharing-serviceshttp://www.hongkiat.com/blog/15-great-free-online-file-sharing-alternatives/http://www.smashingapps.com/2008/08/28/5-best-free-file-hosting-services-to-store-your-files.html Please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy, and post a link to it in this thread. It is a convenient and accurate way of providing us with details of your computer specifications.

A:Freezing and occasional blue screen in games

Your error is 0x3B and these are often caused by faulty video drivers. Try the following:

1. Download Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper (both have free versions; make sure the version will work with your OS) to your desktop screen and install.

2. Download the latest diver(s) for your video card but don't install them.

3. Uninstall your video card drivers and reboot your PC into Safe Mode. Run Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper but ONLY for the video card drivers. I had someone use it on their chipset drivers! If it doesn't find any video card drivers that is quite okay.

4. Reboot and install new video card drivers.

Once a Week when I boot my computer, a blue screen will appear and then proceed to the starting windows screen. It only loads lond enough for me to read "Crash Dump" near the bottom. It's happened twice about a few weeks apart. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit OS

What could this mean?
Is my computer dying?
Please Respond.

A:Slow pc with occasional blue screen crashings

Welcome to the BleepingComputer Forums. Since it has been a few days since you scanned your computer with HijackThis, we will need a new HijackThis log. If you have not already downloaded Random's System Information Tool (RSIT), please download Random's System Information Tool (RSIT) by random/random which includes a HijackThis log and save it to your desktop. If you have RSIT already on your computer, please run it again. Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT. Click Continue at the disclaimer screen. Please post the contents of log.txt. Thank you for your patience. Please see Preparation Guide for use before posting about your potential Malware problem. If you have already posted this log at another forum or if you decide to seek help at another forum, please let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and taking the time of two volunteer helpers means that someone else may not be helped. Please post your HijackThis log as a reply to this thread and not as an attachment. I am always leery of opening attachments so I always request that HijackThis logs are to be posted as a reply to the thread. I do not think that you are attaching anything scary but others may do so. While we are working on your HijackThis log, please: Reply to this thread; do not start another! Do not make any changes on your computer during the cleaning process or download/add programs on your computer unless instructed to do so. Do not run any other tool until instructed to do so! Let me know if any of the links do not work or if any of the tools do not work. Tell me about problems or symptoms that occur during the fix. Do not run any other programs or open any other windows while doing a fix. Ask any questions that you have regarding the fix(es), the infection(s), the performance of your computer, etc.Thanks.

A:Blue screen occurs after occasional automatic updates

According to your dump file memory corruption is your issue. Therefore our advice is for you to run the free and safe Memtest on your RAM.

See the link below and follow the instructions. There is a newer version than what is listed; use the newer. If you need to see what the Memtest screen looks like go to reply #21. The third screen is the Memtest screen.

Step1 - Let it run for a LONG time. The rule is a minimum of 7 Passes; the more Passes after 7 so much the better. The only exception is if you start getting errors before 7 Passes then you can skip to Step 2.

There are 8 individual tests per Pass. Many people will start this test before going to bed and check it the next day.

If you have errors you have corrupted memory and it needs to be replaced.

Step 2 ? Because of errors you need to run this test per stick of RAM. Take out one and run the test. Then take that one out and put the other in and run the test. If you start getting errors before 7 Passes you know that stick is corrupted and you don?t need to run the test any further on that stick.

Link: http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic62524.html

* Get back to us with the results.

*** If Memtest shows no errors then find the voltage specs of your RAM and compare it to the voltage setting in your BIOS. Do they match?

* By the way, have you updated to Service Pack 3?

A:Slow pc, browsers hang up and occasional blue screen crashings

HelloI see that you have an HJT topic posted here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/255287/slow-pc-with-occasional-blue-screen-crashings/ We do not allow more than one topic for the same computer and the same issue as this causes confusion, and in this case may make the disinfection process more difficult. This leaves you with a choice:1) Have this thread reopened and the HiJack This log topic deletedOR2) Keep this thread closed and wait for assistance in the HiJack This log forum. Please note that that forum is VERY busy. Please send a Private Message indicating your choice.Assuming you wish assistance in the HiJack This forum, you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a HJT Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer. From this point on the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean. Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the HJT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond. Please be patient. It may take several days, perhaps less, to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible. I advise checking your topic once a day for responses. To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. Good luck with your log.Orange Blossom

So far this only seems to be happening with Steam-based games TF HL etc Though I bought Bioshock through Steam it too crashes but these are normal game crashes where the screen goes black you crash to desktop and Windows properly reports that the game crashed and you're back at a responsive desktop With the Steam games after a random amount of time the game's audio will loop and the frames will lock then the hard loop, and HDD sound games cause crash click Steam-based drives will begin to click once per second constantly If I'm quick you can CTRL ALT DEL and Steam-based games cause sound loop, crash and HDD click click LOGOFF to get to the desktop and Steam-based games cause sound loop, crash and HDD click start again but if the HDDs begin clicking you have to do a shutdown in time or the whole PC becomes unresponsive After a forced shutdown the BIOS will sometimes reports issues before being able to boot up normally Through the troubleshooting process Valve requested a dump which at that time I performed however that was a time when the HDD never clicked because I had time to ALT TAB out of the game and do the dump write With the HDD click errors you simply don't have the time to write a dump But I've hosted the dump file for review here Any help would be greatly appreciated

With the Steam games, after a random amount of time, the game's audio will loop and the frames will lock, then the hard drives will begin to click once per second constantly.

If I'm quick, you can CTRL+ALT+DEL and click LOGOFF to get to the desktop and start again, but if the HDDs begin clicking, you have to do a shutdown in time or the whole PC becomes unresponsive. After a forced shutdown, the BIOS will sometimes reports issues before being able to boot up normally.

Through the troubleshooting process, Valve requested a dump, which at that time, I performed, however that was a time when the HDD never clicked (because I had time to ALT+TAB out of the game and do the dump write) With the HDD click errors, you simply don't have the time to write a dump.

But I've hosted the dump file for review here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Every time I start up, when it reaches the desktop, I get a blue screen, and it has writing in white, and I can't read it because as soon as it appears, it restarts the computer, and it happens again

I shut down the computer, restarted it, took out the battery, let is cool, and still no diffrence

Could it be a virus? I don't think so, because when I open it in Safe Mode, I run SpyBot Search and Destroy, and it can't find any problem

This is my first post here, so please tell me If I'm missing anything

Hello everyone,

today the display of my laptop (HP G72 Notebook PC) froze, and after a few seconds it went black and the computer attempted a restart. A blue screen showed up (which I could not investigate yet) and i was asked to launch Windows in safe mode or normally. When I choose normal startup the computer crashes again and repeats the bluescreen and so on. Safe mode is fine, I am currently writing this in safe mode. I will try to write down what the bluescreen says.

Can anyone provide me with help? I would be very thankful.
Thanks in advance.

A:Blue Screen Loop

Hi

1. You can try to restore a previous copy of your registry. However you will need a restore point and the Windows XP CD (for the recovery console). This is also a very complicated procedure so read through the document first before attempting it.

If you do not have a Windows XP Cd you can download the Windows XP recovery Console ISO from here.
Write it to CD using a program like ImgBurn.
Once written to CD, boot your PC with the CD (or the Windows XP CD).

Then follow the procedure here: How to recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP from starting

2. You can also try to repair your Windows XP. Once again you will need the Windows XP CD but for this procedure you will need the full, original CD.
You can read this article on how to run a repair install:
How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install

Hello My computer has been having many problems lately and I would like to go over all of them but I need immediate help with my most recent problem which is my computer is stuck in a bluescreen reboot loop So i have read this solved thread http www techsupportforum com f up- html and I have the same x error with ntfs sys under it and Blue screen loop it seems that the solution is to put ntfs dos exe on a floppy and boot it on start up However my computer does not have a floppy drive I could probably look for one in the garage but Blue screen loop if there is a way to run the program from a usb or cd it would be very helpful So my main question is how do I run the exe from here http www geekswhoknow com articles error-code htm without a floppy drive or floppy disks I really need to get this fixed so I can get my data off these seagate drives I even updated the firmware for these hard drives because there was a huge problem with seagate drives I have further questions but I will ask them once this problem is solved hopefully btw my knowledge of comptuers is very limited so don'y expect me to understand everything Thank you for your help especially since you guys donate your own time to help others like me

A:Blue screen loop

I would also like to add that the problem is occurring on a seagate st35000320AS hdd with the latest firmware (I believe) which is my second hard drive which I use as storage. The only way to get past the blue screen loop is to unplug hard drive, leaving only my main hard drive plugged in. Also, when i only have my main hard drive plugged in, the time it takes to shutdown is significantly longer taking many minutes as opposed to the seconds it used to take. Also, the hard drive that is causing the problem doesn't get recognized on start up every once in a awhile. And finally, whenever i turn on my computer there is a loud noise, (like that of a machine....like a lawn mower). the noise started occurring when i started having problems with my identical seagate hard drive last year around november. however, I believe that the noise is coming from a fan because whenever i touch the fan to stop it or tap the side of the computer where it is mounted the sound stops, but comes back the next dau when i turn on my computer.

Hey everyone, I was working on installing a new sound card on my ex's computer. Everything went well, I installed the software, then within a minute or two, I received the BSOD. The computer was shut down. I immediately went to restart it, but nothing shows up on the monitor. The fans are running, the light is on the front, but no signal from the monitor.

I have tried resetting the RAM and powering it off by holding the button for 30 seconds while disconnected from a power source.

Its an HP running Windows Vista. I can try and get more specs when I head back over there, but I am stuck trying to figure out what the problem could be.

Crashes happen anytime, result in a black or white screen, one time, it completed the loop and it had actually BSOD'd! I have the memory dump (hoping a forums wizard can come and save me!). Have tried disabling HDMI audio package drivers, overclocking and underclocking the video card. Does not appear to be memory related as one time, music that was being played on my computer, continued to play after the crash. Using windows 7 64bit RTM btw.

Hi All,

I have recently acquired a Dell Dimension 4600i Computer that operates with Windows XP and every time I go to load ANY kind of video games I get what's known as the 'Blue Screen Of Death' error message that states my driver ati2evxx.exe is stuck in an infinite loop.

How would I resolve this? To give a quick back story I have already done a fair bit of repairing on this system already. When I received the system it would not load windows XP after the loading screen it would black screen. To resolve this I booted safe mode, Ran Anti-Virus, then un-installed the 'Display Drivers' which are 128 DDR ATI Radeon Pro & 128 DDR ATI Radeon Pro Sec.

After doing this XP loaded fine (Just in a-lot worse of a picture quality) Then I re-downloaded the drivers for my computers Radeon 9800 graphics card and everything is working great, except for when I load any games then I get the blue screen. This also happens when I test the Direct3D capabilities in dxdiag it completely crashes my system on test 9

Any ideas guys and I'd really appreciate the help here's my specs:

I don't know much but maybe your windows installation files have some errors or the graphics drivers you downloaded could be a little too advanced for your hardware and need to install the previous versions.

I installed a driver from a cd for graphic tablet. After that, it required restarting. Then it just goes into blue screen and restart loop over and over. I can't enter desktop. It says is preparing an automatic repair but then goes to another blue screen. I am currently travelling so I don't have a recovery cd.

Hi everyone my computer has a ton of problems but the one that requires the most urgency is a continuous boot loop on my secondary sata drive The stop error on the blue screen is x and also has ntfs sys under it on the next line Whenever my secondary sata drive is plugged in the computer just reboots and the only way to get my comp to start is the unplug that hard drive I have loop reboot Blue screen read that one way to fix this is to run chkdsk r but should I back up my data before i run chkdsk And if yes how do i even back up my data Because it is a sata drive i cannot slave it I have also read that people with the same problem who try to put the hard drive in another computer causes that computer to boot loop too I have read that another way to fix the problem is to put NTFS DOS http Blue screen reboot loop www geekswhoknow com articles stop- x - x - x -ntfs-file-sys-error-code htm on a floppy and boot it but the problem is that i have no floppy drive Another weird thing is that everytime i turn on my computer there is a loud noise it seems to have started ever since my computer has gotten a lot of problems However it seems to come from a fan because whenever i touch the fan or tap the case where it is mounted the sound stops but comes back the next day when i turn on my computer Thanks for everyone s help I really want to get my data off these seagate drives to somewhere safe i have had two seagate drives with updated firmware fail on me I have a TON of stuff to do and getting this off my to do list would be great btw can anyone recommend a hard drive that is very reliable My older seagate drive is still running but these newer seagate sata drives are horrible My trust in computers has drastically changed

A:Blue screen reboot loop

OK, first ting ill say is if the data on the hdd's is important, you are probably best of going to a professional to get it looked at as it sounds like it has died, because windows is bootlooping whenever its plugged in, which is a pretty bad sign. The couple of drives that i have looked at that were causing that problem caused it in the 4 test systems i use, however there are 2 things that i can think of that might work1. If you have a sata external drive enclosure you can swap out the old drive and connect the failing one to it, that worked once for me, the rest of the times it still bluescreened.2.This is from thcbytes, thank him if it works, make sure the second drive is connected when booting from the cdHi,I have another option for you. I would like you to boot up with another OS....Linux. You will boot off a CD-Iso. You will run that OS on Ram only. You will then be able to see your HDD, will mount it and transfer files to a flash drive. This is what you need to do...- Download on another computer Puppy Linux to your desktop. It might take a while so be patient.http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distri...6-seamonkey.iso- You need to then burn the Iso to a CD disc. Here is a good freeware app if you do not already have one. IsoRecorderhttp://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/downloa...corderV2RC1.msi- Now you need to take the Cd to your bad PC. Do you know how to boot from the Cd? During the POST tap Esc (F2 and del sometimes also works) and get into the Bios. Once in the Bios maneuver to and change the Boot order to Cd. Exit out and choose the option to save your changes.- Reboot. This will launch Puppy Linux!!! The directions from here are fairly self explanatory to load the OS. It will configure your screen resolution, language...etc.- Right click on your HDD. You will find it in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Choose to mount the drive then you can access it....- Connect a flashdrive or external HDD and transfer your files!!!!Let me know if you have any questions.Regards,tThe noise on bootup is usually either fan noise or vibrating cd drive, the easiest way to tell is to take the side of the case off and check where the noise is physically coming from.

A:Blue screen of death loop

Hi robbins, I don't think that installing a game could cause BSOD. If this is the case, I suggest you to disable restart after BSOD. You can find it by pressing F8 before Windows loading (I don't know the exactly name of the choice, because my Windows is localized in italian).

Right, not sure whether this should be in Hardware or OS. So I'll start here.

PC (in specs) been working absolutely fine up till today. I'd left it on to go do something else, came back and it was stuck at the 'we encountered an error....' screen. No bother, rebooted and seemed ok. Then it bluescreened again. This time on reboot it bluescreened seconds after the boot up circle appeared.

Rebooted again and tried a system restore (this was the last time I could get this option). That didn't work either. Hard locked on me once it booted to desktop.

I can't even attempt a repair from USB as it bluescreens before the initial boot completes.

Running memtest gave me an error. Took out 1 stick and rerun memtest, all ok. Tried to boot windows, nope BS again, same if I try a repair.

Any suggestions? This build is only a few months old.

My system is a AMD PIII Ghz MB RAM Gig and Gig HD s and CD RW drive Running XP Pro with SP I recently installed a DVD R drive and made it my continuous blue loop screen/reboot master and made my CD RW a slave Everything seemed OK and I even burned a few disks with the new drive I got a blue screen message a few days later but it was on the screen very briefly and I could not make out continuous blue screen/reboot loop the message The machine rebooted itself normally back into windows and I was able to continue working The continuous blue screen/reboot loop following day I got another blue screen that said something like quot stop fatal system error at c a Unhandled exception in session manager terminated unexpectedly quot I also saw the message quot disable bios memory options quot and quot xc quot The system rebooted itself but stopped at continuous blue screen/reboot loop the windows screen and the blue error message came up again starting the cycle over again I shut the computer down and entered via safe mode went to system restore and was unable to restore the system to any previous date The next time I rebooted I again went through safe mode and the system hung when it was loading amdagp sys and has continued to hang on that file when I try to boot in safe mode Ive also tried to boot up through the other options at start up boot safe with prompt last known configuration etc but I always get the blue screen and then a reboot I now cannot access any part of windows I also disconnected my DVD and CD drives as well as adjust the BIOS and CMOS settings for safe boot up without any luck When I boot off my XP disk I am unable to repair or reinstall xp because it says it is unable to copy certain files to my hard drive during the process Any ideas from anybody as to how I can access my computer and fix this problem Could it be a virus I really want to avoid reformatting or reinstalling XP fresh again Thanks nbsp

Hi -,
After the windows defender and cumulative update of windows 10 on 18th Aug 2016, I used my system for sometime, next day morning (19th) and kept it on charge and went back to sleep. I wake up after 3 hours and turn on system from the sleep that time it went into infinite blue screen loop and it continuously says that it is trying to recover by restarting but it end up coming to the same blue screen after 10 min. This looping happens in each 5-7 min, if I keep my laptop on for sometime. Also, the major problem is that after this happens I am not even able to go to advance settings(bios/update or recovery) on my sony vaio SVE model.
If anyone knows the solution please do let me know @ [email protected]
Thanks!!!!!

Hello, I'm trying to repair a friend's computer that keeps blue screening. It mentions something about I should see if I can free up some harddrive space (I had heard this computer in the recent weeks had lost a significant amount of freespace). It then mentions the possibility of bad video driver or maybe other recently installed components. I can't see any newly installed components. I can use the "repair your computer" option though, that runs. All others blue screen after you type in the password to the user account. The stop error is:

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000006, 0x82083673, 0x98479A5C, 0x00000000)

It is a Dell Inspiron 1521

One of my computers running windows XP started to reboot during windows loading It gets to the windows loading screen and then reboots It keeps doing this forever I used F to set it not to reboot automatically so I could see the blue screen error The error is UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME I checked that all the wires and ram and cards are seated properly and I used a vista recovery cd to run chkdsk r It found a couple small things and fixed them something like sectors But blue reboot screen XP UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME loop with it keeps getting the same UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME blue screen The user caused this by using the power button on the front of the machine to turn the computer off while windows was still loading shortly after getting to the desktop Upon next boot it got this error Also the XP reboot loop with blue screen UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME user has apparently used the power button to turn off the machine many times in the past What should I try next

I can't get the dump files as I can't log on.

My problem is that, for some reason, after my laptop lost charge, once I turned it back on it prompted me to boot it in safe mode as there was an error. I booted in safe mode and a blue screen appeared but flashed too quickly to see what anything said, and restarted my laptop. I have tried every other option and this happens over and over, just a blue screen then a restart.

After looking on various websites I downloaded an .iso file that contains Windows 7 32-bit Recovery files so that I can access System Restore and use my backup files (if that makes sense). I opened the .iso file using WinRar and copied the files to a CD.

Like everywhere I have looked says, I have changed the order on the BIOS so that it boots from the CD. When I do this it simply just says press any key or whatever, I do that, and it just restarts.

My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5532 and is 32-bit. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.

Any suggestions on how to boot from the CD, or any other suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks.

Hello there!

Run a Hard Drive Diagnostic using Flash drive HDDScan and see if its intact. Let us know if booting from Flash drive is also crashing. If so disconnect all the USB devices and just test with flash drive.

best guess is a problem with memory or the disk drive.  You need to find some sort of bootable diagnostic disk.

My little brother's computer is on a blue screen loop.

I know this is a microsoft issue and not an HP issue, but I know little else.

I am attaching a video of the problem. He has found that the issue mainly strikes when he tries to open browsers, but when I first attempted to download Malwarebytes, I noticed the same thing happened.

I have scanned his computer using Malwarebytes once already and am doing so again, but even though it has removed threats, it didn't seem to make a difference the first time.

Any ideas as to what I can do?

Note: You can see in the video that several error messages pop up. I was not able to close out of any of them, although I did try. Usually they closed out and turned into new error messages before I could even mouse up to them.

Tap the Function 8 key while the computer starts up and before Windows loads then when you see the Advanced Boot Menu, select "Disable automatic restart on system failure". That will make the blue screen Stop Error message remain long enough to be noted down and posted back here. Posters need the alpha-numeric 0x0000?? and ANY_WORDS_JOINED_UP with underscores to be able to assist further.

Hi, my mom's pc and mine were recently hit by viruses. I downloaded some patches, etc. from Microsoft. My pc is OK but my mom's now has a blue screen that says 'please check signal'. Only the screen comes on for 1 minute- can't get anything when we try to power on. :dead: Unplugged everything, replugged it, tried combinations. Just before this, the system would run a debugging program that would freeze everything up. Mom was getting the blue screen before, but she found out that switching the power surge off, then on, fixed the problem. Sorry, I'm new to this site but was hoping for some info because everyone wants to charge her $80 to $100 just to discuss the problem, not to fix it. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Okay, so to get to the point, the problem is, I boot the computer, everything runs as normal untill just after the Microsoft Corporation Loading screen, after which for a second I get a flash of Blue Screen, much too quick to read and the system reboots. I've tried booting into Safe Mode, and Command Prompt, but I get the blue screen again, after it loads \windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk . I'm running an Asus X50RL with Pentium Dual Core inside, 2.4Ghz and an X55 series Graphics card (I think) Its also running Vista 32-bit. I've had very few problems with my Laptop over the years, and I'm hoping someone can help me. The Main reason I would like it fixed, is to be frank, I don't like windows 7 and want to keep my Vista. Thankyou in advance to anyone that can help me.

I recently reformatted (twice) due to a problem with the entire computer randomly locking up, with me unable to do anything, not even move the mouse, unless I rebooted.
However, this morning I turned on my computer to find that it is in a reboot loop, with a quick flash of a blue screen with white writing after the windows loading screen before restarting. The blue screen only appears for about half a second, so I haven't been able to read it.
The fact that this has happened recently after two reformats leads me to believe it is a hardware problem (as well as the persistent freezing problem)
If anyone knows anything about either of these problems, I would greatly appreciate their help.

A:reboot loop with blue screen + freezing problems

I take it safe mode is doing the same thing?

Anyways, I would start with this. This is a quote from one of Rick's posts.

First, figure out what CAUSED the problem. Often times, when Windows is rendered unbootable, there is a good reason. This can often be due to hardware failure (bad hard disk, memory or CPU for example). In these cases, the system repair function will not work. System repair will only repair your software.

I strongly recommend you run a disk utility on your hard drive before performing a system repair. You can find more information about disk utilities here:
http://www.techspot.com/vb/showthre...=&threadid=7602

Memory can also cause these problems. A good memory test can be found here: www.memtest86.comClick to expand...

Recovery from an endless restart automatic restart loop Hi I foolishly accepted a Wifi driver update from Windows update and next restart gave me the traditional blue screen IRQL not less than or equal So as usual in my experience Win went into its automatic repair restart loop collecting data restart to no avail I thought - ok- safe mode - restart - screen Blue loop IRQL endless Oh no F thought I'd enabled that some time back no boot menu that's now added Ok Win bootable DVD Hello no Startup options after Advanced options Hmm That was unexpected Ok System Restore yes restore points I have a daily scheduled system restore point automatically generated Oh dear unexpected prompt about drive needing to be checked That done no system restore points Ok what am I left Ah Aomei Backupper diskimage Yep IRQL - Blue screen - endless restart loop just days old Boot disk external drive minutes or so done Working again So what's the issue Well I don't understand why Safe Mode Startup options weren't available when booting from the Win DVD Any thoughts Thanks It also seems to me that the restart in the automatic repair sequence is subtly different to restarting from having disconnected power So I've now enabled F it's a year old laptop so no UEFI etc and added a boot menu with Safe Mode thanks Brink Oh I also realised I didn't have my daily ERUNT registry backup on this- great for restoring a registry from a boot disk when nothing else is available

A:IRQL - Blue screen - endless restart loop

You said it yourself that you installed a wifi driver prior to your system crashing. That's the likely cause.

Here's the story:
---Computer running windows XP got a virus.
---Was going to run a program that needed to run in Safe Mode
---When I booted in safe mode I got a blue screen
---I (stupidly) changed the settings so that the computer automatically booted into safe mode thinking that would change something.

Now I can't boot into windows! The computer automatically boots to safe mode and I always get a blue screen (error: 0X0000007b, 0Xf7c7B524, 0XC0000034, lots of 0's)

Question: How do I change my settings to NOT automatically boot to safe mode without accessing windows! I can't get back to MSCONFIG and know no other way to turn off the automatic safe-mode boot option.

Ughhhhh, I wish I hadn't done that! Please help me!

If you have a Windows XP installation disk, and wish to use the Recovery Console, see the following link ... (near the bottom of the page)
Problems that can occur by forcing Safe Mode using the System Configuration Utility
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...force_safemode

Otherwise, use a LIVE CD ...
Download Puppy Linux (105MB)
http://www.puppylinux.org/

When you have Puppy Linux burned to a CD, boot from the CD.
Load Puppy Linux into memory and use as a LIVE CD operating system: Do not install.
Navigate to C:\Boot.ini
Open the file: It is simply a text file, so use a text editor within Puppy Linux to open the file.
Delete the following switch: /safeboot:minimal
Save the file and close it.
Exit Puppy Linux and remove the CD.

Start your Windows system normally.

(If in any doubt, copy the content of the boot.ini file and post it here.)

Hi there,
Yesterday I was watching a video on my laptop when a terrible grinding noise, like a disk stuck in a drive, started blasting out and the computer froze. It was a terrible sound so I unplugged the laptop.
Now, when I turn it on I am taken through the start up repair but none of the restore options or diagnostic scans work. I am just brought back here when the laptop resets. If I try to boot in safe mode or via a usb the laptop blue screens.
I can boot asus express cloud but when I try to open the OS from there it blue screens too.
I am looking for a way to get back into my computer. Any help is much appreciated.
I am using an ASUS 64 bit laptop that runs windows 7. If any further information is needed please let me know. Thanks in advance.

A:stuck in blue screen/start up repair loop

It appears like your OS malfunctioned. Try installing another bootable OS immediately the blue screen appears. I recommend a  different version of OS from the one you are using.

A:Constant Blue Screen Error and restarting loop - Can't do anything!!

Both crashes are hardware failure crashes, given the added components and the fact you can't get into safe mode it only defines a hardware problem and so the new components need to be tested.
Because you have a SSD you can't really test it with multiple tools which I would normally suggest.
With the SSD you could try a different cable and/or a different hard drive.

alright bare with me....

My brothers downloaded some kind of virus I guess. I come back from the weekend and its gone to ****.
My laptop is a Dell vostro 1510. It's a Windows Vista Business 32bit. It's the original os. And it's from 2006.

I turn on the computer. It starts doing the CHKDSK which is fine because it finishes. And then says it's going to restart the computer. It does that and it restarts it. It gets to the black screen with the green scrolling bar on the bottom. Then it goes to the welcome screen with the spiraling circle. Then you would think that the sign in icon comes up. but instead comes up black screen with the white cursor. And thennnnn BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. Restarts. And begins at the CHKDSK part again.

Help me please

A:CHKDSK/Blue Screen of Death/Restart Loop

If checkdsk is started at boot, sounds like harddrive problems. Even though chkdsk gives the all clear, it is hardly a definitive test. Try this test.

Am I surprised? No... am I seconds away from pushing my monitor out the window? Yes

I install something - anything, make some system changes, or anything else that might effect my computer whatsoever and the next time I restart I get the BSOD. I open in safe mode, do a system restore and then try again. I've tried deactivating admin notices and installing alcohol 120% and both have brought the same results.

You're thinking, well rectify whatever is changed after the system restore, but it happens with nearly everything, and it was doing this before the restore point where it just seemed to randomly do it when it felt the need.

Is there anything I can do apart from reinstall? Because if I do then this stupid system is going to hell, the only thing keeping me from uninstallage is the tedium.

Got an ATi 9800 pro btw, since I've heard something about that. 1gb ram, pentium 4.

Hi

My mum is having a nightmare with her computer. She initially had Vista on it then started getting error messages followed by a blue screen, she took it for repair and the guy also put XP and AVG on it. She previously had Norton on. I have been and set up her internet and email etc and as soon as we went on the internet it froze. We got an error message mentionining avgdump.exe shortly followed by a blue screen saying Windows was shutting down to prevent further damage to your computer - unfortunately the screen only stays on for 2 seconds then the computer reboots displays the blue screen again for 2 seconds then shuts down again and so on. I think the error code was 0x80000008e - as I say its not on long enough to check properly. Any ideas as my polite non swearing mother has now started swearing!

Thanks in anticipation

A:Blue Screen and Windows stuck on shut down loop

On boot up press F8 to get to the startup options screen before windows begins to load. Then go to disable automatic restart on system failure and press enter.

Next time you get a BSOD error, the system wont restart automatically, so you can jot down the error codes and any drivers mentioned.

You can also try to boot in safe mode from this menu to see if you still get the error message.
