Solved: Need software to burn for Dell DVD/CD RW

Q: Solved: Need software to burn for Dell DVD/CD RW

I am in need of the drivers for my TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-S162L

I have a 'roxio' CD from Dell, this might be it, but no mention of the DVD on it. Can I just use a 'free' third party software for this, it does play DVD,s just doesnt have anything to write to them.

Actually, its not the 'drivers' I need the writing/burning software.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Solved: Need software to burn for Dell DVD/CD RW

You can use the built in windows software....right click on file{s} send to dvd writer
If it will write to a DVD is may only be able to read DVDs

I have premium vista windows on my Laptop. I burned a CD last night but for some reason I tried to burn one this morning and now it says burning software not found. I tried turning the computer off and on to see if that would work because some times it does but it did not work.

A:TweakBit Software is downloading to my laptop posing as DELL software! Is DELL aware of this?

Hello Sir, I have already replied to the same post you left on Facebook, but would like to repeat my message here.
We are sorry you had a negative experience with your computer that involved TweakBit products. I would like to clarify a couple of things so there are no misunderstandings. TweakBit does not come pre-installed on Dell computers and does not get installed automatically without user consent. We are in fact a Microsoft Gold Application Development partner and we do use Norton to test our software and certify it as virus-free. The only place in our software where you could have seen a mention of Dell would be the section that contains information on your computer system. Our software displays your computer brand, model and specs for your convenience, as many users have no idea where to locate this info when faced with the need to do maintenance on their computer or to call support.
I can assure you that TweakBit software is neither malware, nor does it contain any malware. We take customer safety very seriously and work with every complaint until the issue is resolved to the customer’s satisfaction. Our software comes with an unconditional 30-day money back guarantee, so if you purchased any of our products and did not like how they worked, you can submit a request at tweakbit.com/support/contact/ for an immediate refund.
We did have some issues with certain anti-virus programs flagging our software (hence most of the negative feedback on the web), but these were all false-positive detections and we’ve always worked with antivirus companies to get those resolved. We appreciate our customers reporting such false positives to us.
If you have any questions remaining or any concerns regarding TweakBit software, please don’t hesitate to submit a request at tweakbit.com/support/contact/. Thank you!

A:Burn in software

It's not a myth, its kinda like screensavers, it is no longer needed. Long ago we used to "Burn in" systems to check everything out(usually 72 hrs)

A "Burn in" of today consists of booting up and checking everything out(maybe a couple of hrs at the most)

Some manufacturers still claim to do a burn in.

I wanted to burn a neo+g and i got this program rmc.. I followed the instructions from RSQ now i am stuck on the part to burn. I have nero 7. what should i burn it as. data, dvd audio, dvd movie. the instruction say burn dvd in nero or other burning apps. plus do i burn the whole folder that i have. do i have to put it in order. it took me 2 days to organize my discs using this program and i don't want it to screw up. please help me

Thanks a bunch

A:Neo+G Burn!! What Software?..HELP

based on what I read at the neo website, burn with nero as DATA. When setting up the burning session in Nero, do NOT drag the main parent folder over to right-hand pane for burning. Instead, first open that main parent folder in the right hand explorer pane, then drag ALL it's contents (except the main parent folder itself) across to the left hand pane for burning. Nero will burn the files in the same order you have organised them, which is usually alpabetical or numerical order anyway (that's dictated by the way Windows works, not you).

I have  a Dell XPS 12 and have recently noticed that it is suffering from screen burn-in an issue that is widely reported on this laptop, further to this a number of articles indicate that given the widespread nature of the problem replacement screens are being offered even outside of the warranty period.
Despite this when I called Dell technical support I was first told that there was no known issue with the laptop and then subsequently I was told that the out of warranty replacements only stretched a further 90 days, at odds with information over the internet.
I was wondering whether this information was correct as it doesn't seem to match the other information available to me.

I recently bought the newest version of Roxio Easy CD and DVD Burning Software. I installed it on my computer and I create a project, but when I go to burn... it says that I need to insert a blank CD. The problem is I've done this already and it keeps ejecting the CD saying there is no blank CD in the drive.

I originally thought that maybe the CD Drive was malfunctioning, but when I click on My Computer and look at the CD Drives' properties, it reads that I have a blank CD in the drive.

I have tried to uninstall, reinstall, and update the driver for the hardware and that has not solved my problems.

Hello,

I cannot burn to CDR using the XP inbuilt feature, i'm not sure why. I have Nero installed and have to run everything through that program but i'd like to be able to burn mp3's with a simple drag and drop to the Drive E: icon (my CD writer).

I read the MS site and it says i should get a screen like this:

But i only get these screens on my setup:

i.e there's no "recording" tab and therefore no option to "enable CD writing" ?. What can i do to get the inbuilt XP recording feature working again ?

Regards,
Andrew

A:Cannot burn to CDR with inbuilt Win XP software ?

You can't make an audio CD with the XP built in burner you have to use Windows Media Player or better yet Nero. If you want to make a Data CD of your MP3's then you right click the file with the MP3's in them, and choose Send To... your CD Burner. another file pops up saying " You have files waiting to be sent to the CD". Click on "Write these files to CD" and it will burn them.

This system, which runs 32-bit Vista Home Premium, came with Roxio Creator, which I used a few times to burn DVDs, before it started freezing every time I hit the "Burn" button. Assuming that the problem lay with that particular software, I deleted it and installed ULead MovieFactory, which to my consternation is doing the exact same thing Roxio was: it lets me add videos to my project, create the menus, etc., all without a problem, but at the final step, when I hit the "Burn" button, MovieFactory freezes in an eerie imitation of Roxio. Hi Bleepers.

The burning section of my ConvertXtoDVD doesn't work any more. I re-installed a fresh download of ConvertXto DVD, but it still won't burn, although to converts okay.

At present I'm using ConvertXtoDVD to convert - and then I open up DVDShrink to burn the converted files from ConvertXtoDVD's folder. Works perfectly.

I've been Googling for a convert-and-burn package, but so far without without success.

Tried 'DVD Rip and Burn 5.2.0.1' - but couldn't get to first base with it. I couldn't find the files in the ConvertXtoDVD folder. What it showed were files that I've deleted weeks - even months ago. Very odd.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you.

Hey all,

Windows 7 had a built in DVD maker that was very helpful in burning video (.avi?) files to DVD*, but the program is not supported in Windows 10.

Burning the files straight to disk even from the media player app doesn't seem to allow the video to be played on normal DVD players.

*So either I am using the wrong format (.avi) and need to convert it, or I need software that can properly burn video files to disk as I need it to.

Any recommendations are most helpful. Thanks!

A:Best software to burn video files to DVD

Maybe buy mom a low cost Blu-ray player

A blu-ray player will play the dvd if it is burnt as a data disc and will play a lot of formats (depending on the make)

A Data DVD will not play on a regular DVD Player unless it is compatible with the format of the files.

if you have a DVD Player that is JPEG compatible... it will recognize a Data DVD that contains JPEG Photos and play a slide show.

As a general rule when planning to play the DVD on a regular DVD Player..you would create a Video DVD which requires DVD Authoring software.

Just a quick question for all the CD burning experts out there.

What CD burning software options are there that will burn MPEG1(VCD) file(s) to CD-r? (Assuming the MPEG1 files have been converted from a previous format, i.e. avi, etc.)

Is there a freeware option that works OK, too? Will BurnAtOnce do the job? (Even if the file(s) must be converted again)

Thanks,

Just a rookie at this please forgive me. I"m good on processing/ ram/ Hdd. I now have a DVD player and a DVD Burner. I Understand the basic levels of DVD discs, and I thought my DVD Wizard pro that I bought 2 years ago would take off and run, but it didn't. My burner is 8X16. Is the disc that came with it supposed to make it burn or do you have to go aftermarket like 1.5 years ago. I'm just lost. Please send me to the education I so desire.

Dell not burning B130- is CD-RW cd's...but will burn in a blank cd and the cd starts burning awesome Dell Inspiron B130- CD-RW drive will not burn cd's...but thinks it is burning cds.... She gets the little status bar at the top of iTunes telling her that the cd is in progress it shows each song being burned with a countdown and everything and you can even hear the drive spinning and moving around like it is burning Then it tells her burning complete Great until you try to play the cd Usually up to this point most people think they know where this is going oh she s trying to burn a cd-rw and play it in a device that doesn t play cd-rw s Well here s the twist The cd is still completely blank she has quot burned quot cds and given them to me and i go to play them in my computer and it says they are blank then i have used my burner to burn them So any ideas apart from replacing the rw drive We ve tried different software and no luck nbsp

It's not the drive or the disks, it's the way you are using the software. This is probably best in the Software forum, or if you have a friend who does a lot of burning, ask them to help you check the checks.

A:System image burn to external drive or burn to cds? Question in messag

Hello Trent,

It would be best to create the system image on a HDD instead. A CD/DVD is less reliable to restore from, and more expensive for how many you would need.

You can do what's in the NOTE box at the top of the tutorial below to keep multiple copies of system images on the same HDD. This way you can create a system image backup that you know is clean, rename the backup folder to keep it so new system images will not replace it. Just repeat this every so often to have a updated system image that you know is clean.

Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

Hope this helps,
Shawn

A:can i burn a cd/dvd while i'm defrgmenting a partition from where a want to burn data

I can't say that I've tried that myself. I guess it could be possible that the data could be corrupted if the files that you're burning are being moved at the time, but that chance is pretty low I suppose. Give it a try if you want to, but don't be surprised if everything runs extremely slow, or if the CD ends up having corrupted data. I'd advise either pausing the defrag or just waiting until it finishes.

hi there,
how do you remove all dell software from the computer. I have a inspiron 15 300 series.
If someone can help please.
Tom

A:removing dell software

Whatever you don't want can be removed by UNINSTALLING the programs, NOT deleting them. Right click the Windows icon at the bottom left in the Task Bar and select the top item, Programs and Features. Then, under Uninstall or Change a Program, select the program to uninstall, right click and select Uninstall.

I am using Windows 7 Professional on a Precision T3610 desktop machine. Some time ago I spent time uninstalling the Dell software which came with the computer. However not all has been removed, as some folders remain in C:/ ProgramData/Dell. These are:  CommndUpdate. Dell DataProtection. Digital Delivery and Drivers. There are eight files in the Dell Data Protection folder, which is the one causing the trouble. When I boot my computer, first up comes a box saying Dell Data Protection/Security Tools.. Please Wait. Then after about 3-5 minutes a box comes up and says: ?The Biometric Functionality Is Not Working? and two options are given: ?Log On Without Biometric Functionality? or ?Wait 30 Seconds and Prompt again.I choose The ?Without Biometric? option and then the normal Windows & startup proceeds. It has become a right pain. Anyone any ideas how I can rid myself of this problem?ThanksStewart

Can anyone tell me about how Dell provides software in its computers such as the OS Windows MS Office etc I m assuming that it s something like I ve read about Compaq where the quot Recovery Disc quot is actually a utility for recovering the real operating delivery? Dell software system which is located in Dell software delivery? an image file Dell software delivery? on a hidden partition on the hard drive If so is MS Office purchased from them as an add-on or included in one of their quot deals quot handled in the same way That is is it included in that image file and no actual software installation disk for MS Office is then included with the computer I m on a committee purchasing computers for our church staff and need to hear from someone who s been there so that I have something to report back It seems to me that if the apps are just in that image file not actually accessible on a disk that a lot of the functionality Recovery console in WinXP or the ability to add or remove parts of Office would be missing It would sure help to know what to expect Personally I m a little leery about this I tend to favor purchasing locally where these things can be ascertained a little more definitely Any help would be appreciated nbsp

Having finally found a driver file for the Model D1728D Dell Monitor, I am now wondering if, on installation that file will modify the device driver file to specifically indicate that Dell Monitor is in use? Currently it only shows generic monitor.
Also, do I need to alter the setup inputs from ega/vga to svga in the BIOS?
All help/information would be appreciated, Thank you.

Hi This morning i was looking at the computer laptop that i got from Dell for my daughter for xmas It is a lower end dell i with the basic version of windows on it I wanted to ad an administrator account and change her account to a standard user I was able to create the administrator account however i was not prompted to enter a password Not knowing windows i thought maybe it would fix itself on reboot and Dell glitch software in anycase i switched her account to a standard user When i rebooted i found myself in a bad spot - only admin account and when i tried to go Dell software glitch back in i of course was prompted to enter a password - for which i had never entered I called dell and they promptly explained that this was a known glitch and they would happily apply an insta-fix for the low low price of dollars I wasn't really happy about this since i only paid about for the laptop How do i fix this Thanks Wes

as an update - going through the settings, it indicates that there are no administrative accounts. I'm trying the reset PC option - so far it looks like it is working. Fingers crossed.

Hi,

It's kind of weird, you only posted one startup application. Anyway, as a general note, all startup can be disabled. Only choose those that you need for startup.

Hi I have an old Dell Demension XPS 8733, good old solid machine that is my back up tower. I just picked up a new copy XP with SP3, does anyone know if the dell requires using the Dell disks? I do have the old disks with no SP3, but I would like to use the new set. My concern would be any Dell specific drivers!

Phil

A:Old DELL software rebuild

The downloads for all the Dell machines are here:http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/ . I don't see an XPS8733 listed, perhaps it is listed under a different format model number. The Dell disks are pure OS disks keyed to the machines bios. A retail OS will load just fine and all the drivers should be available from the above site.

Well I've tried everything, followed install directions EXACTLY. Problem is when I attempt to record (burn) to a cd I get this error message which in turn aborts the write process: "Could not perform start of Disc-At-Once". Updated ALL software, still same-same. System is:

TDK veloCD 48/16/48
Nero Express 5.5.9.9
TDK Digital Mixmaster
Afreey CD-ROM 50X
WIN 98SE
AMD K6-2 450MHz
DFI K6XV3+ VIA Chipset
256MB RAM
8GHz HDD

System is set up with cd-rom as SLAVE to HDD on Primary IDE channel. Cd-rw is MASTER on Secondary IDE channel.

I've tried EVERYTHING, I'm a patient man but family is not. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated. GRM

Hi,

I have a small problem with my DVD burner. I was using Memorex 8x dvd's with no problems to burn some of my movies on dvd. I just bought some TDK 16x dvd's and the disc ejects automatically before the burn process is finished. Anyone have any thought on this problem? I'm using a SONY DVD RW DW-D22A burner.

Thanks,
Nick

A:Solved: Can't burn onto DVD

Did you have the problem burning at 16X speed. If so you might want to first try a slower burning speed. You might also want to check if Sony has any firmware updates for the drive.

Hi, I have been having problems burning my cd's. I sent my computer to shop to be fixed because of other problems, but once I got my computer back I could no longer burn cd's. When I try to burn it tells me it doesn't recognize my burner. I use realplayer and I was burning music from realplayer before going into the shop and now it doesn't recognize it. What can I do to fix this? Oh, also when I go into my computer to open the cdr folder there is nothing there....please help!

A:[SOLVED] Can't burn CD's...

it sounds like you need to reinstall the driver for your cd burner. im new to this site so im not 100% sure if they provide drivers on this site but if you can get your make and model number you can download it for www.driverguide.com you have to register with them but its worth it if it fixes your problem.

I want to burn an non-copy-protected MPG file to DVD.

It seems like this should be a simple task, but after days of web searches, I'm either missing something simple, or it's not possible. Nearly all search hits point to posts on forums either from many years ago or with links to illegal copy protection cracking software.

I have Nero 7 Ultimate. I'd consider purchasing Nero 9 if I could confirm it contained this functionality. I downloaded and install the trial version of Nero 9, and it appears that the Nero Vision component may require a separate purchase.
