I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Go to Start/Printers and Faxes. If the printer is there, right click and Delete it. Go to Start/Run and type appwiz.cpl and press enter. In the Add Remove Programs uninstall any printer software. With the Printer attached, go to Start/Run and type devmgmt.msc and press enter. Are there any devices with yellow flags? Or under Universal Serial Bus Controllers is there an Unknown Device? If so, right click it and uninstall it. Unplug the USB cable from the computer end and restart the computer. Download the driver for the printer from the HP site and install that during the install, it will tell you when to plug in the USB cable. This should install. Now right click it and Share it again. On the Remote computers log into this computer from the remotes by going to Start/Run and typing \\[computername] this should open the shares, right click the Shared printer and choose Connect. This will list the shared printer under printers and faxes again.

This printer worked correctly until I got a new disk for my computer. Now, it prints multiple page documents on one page. It's a 3 in 1. The scanner will only print pictures and I need it to print documents.

As I said, It worked fine before the new disk was installed.

A:HP LaserJet 3030 problems

I would go into Device manager and uninstall any references to the Printer and scanner from there. Then close device manager and go into add/remove programs and uninstall any software related to the Printer and Scanner from there. Close out that then turn off the computer. Disconnect the Printer from the usb port. Then start the computer again. Once booted to the desk top I would reinstall the printer using the manufacturers installation disk following the directions. If this means not connecting the printer until the software tells you to, then that is what you do. HP Printers have in the past been very picky about the installation proceedures and that included not connecting the printer until directed to during Software installation

A:HP laserjet 3030 mfp fuser problem

Hi

As a tech I would say that the fault is with the drum not the fixer, drums have a life cycle which varies from model to model, the brother range of printers last about 2 years for example, the HP 2100 and 6P range are about the same, dependant on the amount of printing done.

Drums arent cheap by the way, and from experience its usually cheaper to replace the printer.

We had a network wide Microsoft Office upgrade yesterday and now today when I scan and "accept" image, the image does not appear. It used to appear, then I would pdf the image and save to file. The only way to get it to work now is if I change the "specify the file type expected by the application" setting BEFORE I scan to pdf, which is fine. However, I'm trying to figure out how to set that setting as my default so I don't have the change it before each scan. Thank you.

Hiya and welcome

Are you still having this problem? If so, which version of Office did you upgrade to? If you're not sure, when in Office, click on the Help menu and then About.

Also, are you using Windows XP?

I am trying to get my old hp laserjet 3030 printer to work on my husbands XP Window PC. I download the drivers direct from the Hp site to the PC but they won't install. I get "There is no driver selected for the device information set or element." The PC does automatically discover the printer (USB), but again, fails to install the drivers. This printer was working happily on my PC Windows 7. The reason i am putting this printer on my husbands PC is there was a PCL XL error happening with the original printer connected to his PC. Is this all related?

Hello all.

I have had this printer for awhile now, and I have never had a problem with it. Recently my wife noticed that when she went to print a document, nothing happened. She would get a message saying that the print attempt failed and it would state that the printer was offline.

I proceeded to run through the printers diagnostics ( HP 4P laserjet ) and I would get printed test pages, but anything trying to go from windows to the printer would not work. I replaced the parallel cable with a brand new one, still nothing. Windows XP is saying the port is fine, anyone know what it could be?

I found the user manuals at hp ; however, as you can see none of them actually give any instructions on how to replace the toner. This is very different looking than other laserjets I have replaced toners for. I simply cannot figure it out. There is no documentation on the net that I can find either that tell you how to do this and HP stopped all support for this model.

Can any tech guy tell me how to replace the toner on an HP laserjet 6P printer?

There should be a diagram stuck on the inside of the printer cover when you open it to get access to the toner cartridge.

I want to install this HP LaserJet 4100DTN so it can be printed by any computer on the network. It's IP, however, is in a different range than that of the other computers.

Computers: 192.168.1.X
Printer: 192.168.0.X

So, when I try to install it as a network printer, it can not be seen. It mentions JetDirect Web app, but when I click on it, the link is broken.

How can I change the IP of this printer?

Thanks.

Hi guys
i got a hard drive from friend WD2500AAJS.
On his PC it was working fine, but when i connected it to my PC via SATA Port (Board model: Intel DH67CL), it doesn't show up anywhere e.g boot menu, on windows installation setup.

But if i connect it with "SATA to USB cable" , it works very fine.

i have tried changing other port on motherboard while different SATA connecting cable too, but no work.

what possible issue it cloud be ?

while on the same PC i am using another hard drive which is working fine with SATA port and USB as well. the issue is somewhere between hard disk and mother board.

Kindly guide.

Hello, I recently brought a motherboard (Intel DP67DE) and like it was expected, when booting XP a blue screen appears... But thats not a problem at all becauses with the "Windows Repair" option it would be easy.

The problem is... I have already installed Linux (Kubuntu) with no problems, even Grub detects my old Windows installation. But then Windows Installation CD wont detect any of my HDDs, even if I use the same installation (no problems/errors in all the times I reinstalled windows).

Maybe it has to do with those new ports the motherboard have... Sata 3 and 4...

I just want to access my old windows one last time... then I can reinstall it.

If needed I will post my HDD name... When I get home
And thanks for taking the time reading my problem!

Hi everyone!

My PC features are as follows.

Windows 98 second edition
801 mhz intel processor
128mb ram

I have decided to add a new 64mb sd-ram memory but my motherbrd doesn'st detect it and detect only the 128mb memory.

When I went in bios, it gives me only 131072 bytes, which equals the 128 mb.

Does any one have an idea about how to make the motherbrd to detect the 64mb ram?

A:Memory not detected by Motherboard!

Some of those old boards simply won't work with Double Sided RAM.

Does the RAM you are adding have Chips in both sides of it? What about the existing one?

It's installed fine, but when I try to connect the monitor directly to the back of the desktop (rather than through an adapter, which uses the onboard graphics...), the monitor will not receive video from the motherboard. I might not have been clear enough, so feel free to ask me to clarify.

Hi

My AVG anti-virus runs at system startup each day and always reports that the ntoskrnl.exe has changed.

Is this a problem?

My system doesn't seem to have experienced any detrimental effects, however, I wanted to check with you guys if this is okay or should I have a concern here?

Looking on the web I know that this process file shouldn't be flagged in normal circumstances so my thoughts are leaning towards maybe a non-critical/low risk infection (as there is no problems that I can see)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

A:ntoskrnl.exe change detected

It is normal that AVG shows that files, the MBR or Boot record to have changed. These are done during normal maintainance, when you or windows updates files or have had to correct errors on the drive. The only time that you should worry is if they also show as infected.

To get AVG to quit showing them as changed, open the AVG Test Center, click the F3 key on your keyboard and tell it to accept the changes. If it still shows something as changed after this.. delete the file named AVG7QT.DAT in C:\ and AVG will rebuild it the next time it is run.

I just recently bought a new motherboard and processor I wanted to get an Intel e processor so I went with the EVGA nVidia i motherboard I ll post the exact model once I get home I already had an existing machine so I reinstalled Windows XP Pro bit after replacing my parts Everything seemed to run just fine but once I have Windows loaded neither of the Gigabit LAN ports are recognized I figured that they were disabled in BIOS so I made sure they were enabled That EVGA nVidia detected not 680i motherboard LAN ports didn t help so I figured that I would have to install drivers After doing that I still have no network connections Ipconfig shows nothing either I didn t have a lot of EVGA nVidia 680i motherboard LAN ports not detected time after I finished the build so I haven t yet played around any further than what I described above but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what the problem is I m not currently with the machine but I ll edit my post accordingly once I get there and I ll post anything else I try as well As usual any help is appreciated P S Does anyone know what the normal or load temps that a stock e will run at No problems just curious nbsp

you need to install the motherboard drivers. Usually supplied with the mobo. You may need to download Win64 versions (if available)

Hi everyone Yesterday I was looking for not 630i) nForce GT Nvidia (Motherboard: detected 8600 a driver for my old webcam Therefore I installed a program named '' Driver Detective'' However It did not Nvidia 8600 GT not detected (Motherboard: nForce 630i) do the job It seems like it' some sort of a scam based the research i've done about it As a result I've deleted it As soon as I've done the work I wanted to do I had shut down Now here comes the real problem When I started pc my monitor was showing a blank screen saying ''No signal input'' though I still could hear the GPU fan spinning at full speed I could get the image back up again by connecting my monitor to my onboard card but why is my onboard working instead of the GT I did Nvidia 8600 GT not detected (Motherboard: nForce 630i) not open the case or whatsoever I've also noticed that on driver manager it's not showing the GT instead it's showing the onboard card I've disabled it by rightclicking and was hoping that it would show the GT instead But it didn't fix the issue I've also tried to uninstall the drivers and reinstall it again -bit display driver and chipset but no luck so far Also I can't seem to find the option to disable the onboard card through bios This problem has never occured before not until I installed ''Driver Detective'' crap Any solutions additional info Q ghz W ultimate bit

A:Nvidia 8600 GT not detected (Motherboard: nForce 630i)

Your best bet is to do a system restore to a point before you downloaded Driver Dedective (which is a scam). This will reset most of your software settings to exactly how there were before the problem began.

System Restore

EDIT: Also, if you tell us them model webcam, one of us might be able to find a driver for you.

A:Defender Just Detected A Weird Change

This could be a browser Hijacking - your hosts file maps IPs to domain names - these all look like nasty websites. Did you run any programs like Spybot S&D that offer to 'harden' your PC when this happened?

A:A Change Has Been Detected In Your Ie Search Page

It sounds like by using Symantic to remove the BHO you made the change and now are disallowing the change in Winpatrol.

Not all plugins (BHOs) are bad.

You stopped your computer from going to HP.com and the default is Microsoft

Hello,

My business has over 200 Optiplex 3030 AIOs and we use our own copy of Windows image on all of them. We are rolling out a new one but we cannot get the side buttons to function. The power buttons works fine but the other ones above it do not work at all.

We have all the drivers installed so I'm not sure what else is needed. It's the same on all computers so it's not a hardware issue.

thanks

So I have two Dell Inspiron all-in-one rsquo s that we cannot adjust the brightness on via the buttons on the right hand side When the issue appeared on the first PC I thought maybe the buttons were broken and since it was out of warranty I simply dimmed the screen via the Intel graphics adapter settings Fast forward to a few weeks later when another machine same model got all-in-one brightness working. 3030 Inspiron buttons not his with a Crytpo virus and I had to do a clean install and now it too has the same problem I installed all the drivers from Dells site but now I have two computer computers in where the brightness buttons on the right hand side don rsquo t work Everything including the BIOS is up to date but that Inspiron 3030 all-in-one brightness buttons not working. got me wondering hellip Is there anything special that needs to be installed for those buttons to work specifically Typically hardware buttons just work I would call Dell but they are out of warranty by Inspiron 3030 all-in-one brightness buttons not working. a few months

Hey guys

i just finished my build and i have no idea why i went for a motherboard with 2 slots for ram it can hold up to 16gb but luckly ebuyer sent me out an extra 4gb of kingston hyperx ram so i have 8gb all together but theres a problem theres 4 sticks !

obviously i wouldnt want to send it back so what do ya think either upgrade my motherboard and smash the extra 4 gb in there or keep to my original one i dont have money to blow atall im really struggling if its something that will really make a difference ill go with it if not then ill just keep to my original and when i come to buy a graphics card i will get a 2gb graphics card to help with gaming all i really do is gaming i dont really do anything else

thankyou for your time

A:Motherboard 4gb Max or change motherboard for 8gb ?

I'd go with 4 gigs until you had a major reason to believe it wasn't enough. If that ever happens, consider your next move. Most people do just fine with 4 gigs.

I considered 8 gigs on my 4 slot board but decided against it and don't regret it.

Good Morning;

I ran a recent scan of TDS-3 and a warning was returned indicating that my autostart registry had changed. There doesnt seem to be a way to copy the scan or I would have posted it. Is there another program, perhaps Hijack, that would allow be to scan and copy the registry so I could post it here for someone to take a look at what it is that I'm dealing with here?

Many thanks in advance
Q

A:TDS-3 Scan indicates a change detected in autostart registry...

most times the TDS warning of a changed autostart is becaus you have changed something like a windows update or an antivirus change or similar

sometimes it is a warning of a baddie so

go to http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/HijackThis.exe and download 'Hijack This!'.
make sure it is placed into it's own folder, not a temporary folder. Then doubleclick the Hijackthis.exe.
Click the "Scan" button, when the scan is finished the scan button will become "Save Log" click that and save the log.
Go to where you saved the log and click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" then Paste the log back here in a reply.
It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required,
so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

I keep getting a Spybot registry entry change that no matter what I do it keeps popping up every 30secs or so. It is a "Browser page" Entry--search bar problem. I have no idea how to rid my system of this. I've ran AVG and spybot with system restore off then reboot.......comes back. EVERY TIME !!! I have no idea how to find where this annoying thing is living and how to get rid of it. I deny changes but it keeps respelling itself with nothing that is even a word. How do I get rid of this without reformatting ?

Thanks V

Hi Folks,
I'm using an Optiplex 3030 AIO with touchscreen as a broadcast audio playout system and have noticed that if the mouse is being moved it disables the touch screen until the mouse stops moving. Is there a way to either make both the touch screen and mouse work at the same time or reverse this prioritising so that the touch screen takes priority over the mouse?
In the situation i'm using this in, the touchscreen operation is much more important than being able to use the mouse. I've tried looking through various windows settings but don't seem to be able to find any options to alter this behaviour.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Hey I'm new to all this and want to upgrade my computer to 4Gb Ram as well as buy a good graphics card, the graphics cards I've been looking at are all DDR3 or higher, but my pc has DDR2.So what do i need to do,will i need to change my motherboard? Thanks

A:Do i Need to change my Motherboard?

Short answer: It depends.

Graphics card memory and PC memory are two separate things.

The DDR3 memory on graphics cards is independent to what your dektop PC has installed. The DDR3 memory modules on graphics cards are part of the card. Separate to the PC's memory.

You will however, need DDR2 for the PC. DDR3 doesn't fit into DDR2 slots.

With your PC you might be out of luck as it looks like that motherboard/model only supports up to 2GB

Hello all,

I have a machine with a Gigabyte X58A Ud3 in, because I think that it's faulty I'd like to upgrade it to the X58a UD5.

Can I do this without grief? Is it a simple matter of swapping it out, plug in original devices update bios, MB drivers and go, boot up with original c drive?

Am I being optimistic? Could I trash my existing setup?

Thanks

James

A:can I change my motherboard

James, Yes it is most likely possible to change your motherboard out BUT. It does require a bit of technical knowhow as the memory and the cpu will have to be moved to the new motherboard and moving the cpu and cooler is not for the faint of heart. Unless your young and have steady hands and good eyes. It can get sticky uninstalling and moving the cpu to the new motherboad. Damn those pins on the cpu are small

Regarding your hard disk, That could be a problem as the new motherboard has different drivers and such.

But I have seen the hard disk moved to a new mb with a minimum of fuss. First you must backup all of your data and save any install programs with the validation codes or serial numbers.

Also, according to the OEM license. when you change the mb on an oem computer, you need a new copy of windows but if you have a regular copy of windows ie.. full version then you can install it on the new mb.

The most important thing is good backups...

Good luck and may the force be with you

same mobo is the easiest route, if you get a different one chances are a fresh format and install of your os and everything else.

My old motherboard got fried... literally somehow, so I got a new one. But now my games crash... not a lot, but from time to time they just lock up... Is this maybe because there is somethign not configured properly on the bios? Is this a common problem when a computer has had a mobo switch?

A:Motherboard change help!!!

What's your budget?

I think the answers will largely depend on how much money you want to put into this project.

If you are looking for a graphics upgrade and you are replacing your mobo consider moving to a board with PCI-Express graphics. That would give you a longer life to your investment and the graphics boost is nice indeed. Of course, if you go that far you are probably looking at a new processor and memory as well.

Also, what size power supply do you currently have? Newer graphics cards need more power and most stock computers don't supply much of that.

Hi, I am a new IT person at a very small school. Our receptionist has a OptiPlex 3030 All In One. Her computer has been working fine, but this morning when she turned it on it just powered up and the screen stayed black. We tried numerous times to restart it and we keep getting the same result. I've now unplugged it and we haven't touched it in a while. I'm not quite sure what to do in this situation. I am going to try connecting another display to it. But I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution to this? I read somewhere that inserting the OS disk and reinstalling the Windows 10 would work, but I don't want to have to do that.

Hey all,

My mobo just failed so I am thinking about attempting a mobo swap without a reinstall.

I found this thread: Change Mobo and Processor without format ? where the OP reported success.

If I can get this working, are there any potential Cons that I should be aware of?

If I do have to reinstall how does the Repair reinstall differ than the Clean reinstall?

I already have all my Personal Files on a separate partition on the HD and I will be using the same processor and RAM. Thanks.

You shouldnt even have to do a repair, just install and see if it identifies everything. Have the latest mobo chipset and integrated stuff drivers downloaded and ready to go if you can. If Win7 doesnt recognize the new mobo then a repair is a 2nd option.

From your specs it appears this is a custom or homemade PC... if so you really shouldnt have any issues!

A:change motherboard and activation

Changing the MB usually is considered a new computer. You may have to call MS to activate with the same key number if it will not activate online normally.

Activate Windows 7 by Phone

Several other posts on the subject and in most cases, MS went along with the request.

Hi

My desktop system came with an OEM version of Vista Home Premium installed. This has since been upgraded to Ultimate.

Unfortunately the mother board has developed a fault and I will have to replace it.

The original motherboard is no longer available (manufacturer gone bust I think) so I have to replace it with a different make.

According to searches on Microsoft, to continue using an OEM version of vista any change of mother board must be of the same make and type as installed on the original system the OS version was licensed to.

If this is true I will have to purchase a full version of Vista or try and get another OEM version with a motherboard. (VERY expensive so not an option)

Has anyone had the same problem and know if this is true or know of a way round this.

Regards

Copperfield

A:OEM System change of motherboard

Hello Copperfield,

Sometimes if you use the same brand of motherboards you will still be able to use the same OEM Vista on it, but you will have to check with the OEM manufacturer to be sure though.

You could get a cheaper upgrade version and use this method below to install if you end up having to buy a retail copy.

Clean Install From Upgrade Vista

Hope this helps,

My old motherboard (MSI [email protected] MSI Global ? Mainboard - P4M900M2-L) was not working as in the display was blank and no signal was being recieved by the monitor. So I went shopping and they sold me a new motherboard (MSI G31TM-P31 MSI Global ? Mainboard - G31TM-P31). After i installed the new motherboard, i turned on the system and the blue light was on and the fan was spinning. after a short while the fan started spinning much faster. So I went ahead and tested the processor on another computer and it was working properly. The processor is a Pentium Dual-Core (I will post model number if requested since it's a bit hard to take off with the fan and all).

What should i do? is it an incompatible motherboard? since the motherboard doesnt have onboard speakers, it doesnt make any sound either. Thanks in advance

Any idea what I should do? I really don't want to format my HD and install Windows again.

I currently use a computer that has a Foxconn 661MXPLUS motherboard but it has no audio. I need to change out the motherboard but hope to be able to use the existing CD Drives, Memory and HD.

Is there a sure fire reference that I can use to accomplish that?

This board has an integrated processor. Will that make a difference.

You can probably tell, I am not the sharpest tack in the drawer when it comes to computer repair/configuration.

My current MB is Sata II and usb 2.0. I plan a MB swap that will re-use the cpu/memory and associated hardware to get Sata III & USB 3.0 and other updated features.

I hot swap ssd's to either run W10 RTM or W10 insider on this desktop but keep a HDD to use as data for both systems.

Will a repair install work or will I have to clean install W10 and install all my apps/programs.

What will this do to activation since "hardware" changed and the ability to get back on insider?

I am looking to upgrade my motherboard, but keep my current hard drive and the content on it (due to having alot of programs and software plugins on it). I am running Windows 7 32 bit with and AMD Phenom II x2 CPU. My current motherboard is one I went to when my compaq desktop died a while ago and I wanted to upgrade my operating system and hard drive capacity anyway. So, the first link below is the motherboard I have and the second link is the motherboard I am looking at upgrading to (since the two are somewhat comparable in specs/give or take a few things). Any suggestions or help is welcome. Thanks!

Hi,

I have asus p5q for now and 2X320Gb sata drives in Raid 0. For example of my motherboard failure , can i then use this raid array on another motherboard and pc.

Can I even use this raid on the same model motherboard. If so will this motherboard recognise drives automaticaly or i still need to create raid using on-board-raid-controler software that i used to make raid first.

A:Does Raid Works When I Change Motherboard

Same motherboard should be no problem.

Equal (same chipset) motherboard, might work.

Different chipset motherboard, likely a redo.

Being that CPU are getting faster by the pico second what do you see the future will bring to the present motherboard architecture?
Do you see a totally new design or types of motherboards?
Do you see using different materials for electrical tracing?
Do you think we have maxed out the present motherboards speed?
Do you see home computers in closets & wireless remotes all over your house?

These are just a few burning questions I have...
What are your thoughts about what will happen in the next 5 or more years?

I think the ATX standard will be around for some time so I don't see new design or types of motherboards. But I do see where many of today's PC users will get rid of their computer and move solely to their smart phones.

Different materials? No. Tracings? Fiber is already being tested so maybe some boards may go light for the buses.

Maxed out speeds? No.

Computers in closets? Already there. Many new homes come pre-wired and use a server for streaming music, video, and data.

A:Had to change out Motherboard and not windows will not activate

I had a similar problem and what I had to do was contact. The PC manufacturer and get the installation disk for Windows sent to me, it was about $29. HP has one for every serial number that they have sold. I imagine the other manufacturers do as well.

A:XP wont boot after motherboard ram and cpu change

For a quick solution..try this. Tap F8 on boot, then boot "last know good configuration". See what happens. If that doesn't work wait for someone else to respond. If it does work, make sure you install the new mobo driver.s

A:windows activation after motherboard change

If you change a hardware device you will have to re-activate your Windows installation. Call Microsoft & explain the situation. They'll see if it's legit & give you a new one.

Hi, I came into possession of a quite powerful, but last-gen, PC that came installed with Windows XP Pro OEM. Now at the moment I can't afford to upgrade all the internal parts so I chucked in a new graphics card to help it along and I upgraded it to Windows 8 Pro. My question is, in the future when I can afford proper upgrades will I be able to change the motherboard? I know that with XP OEM that was not allowed, but now it's been upgraded to Windows 8 is it allowed or is it still forbidden?

A:Upgraded to Windows 8, can I change the motherboard?

Hello Spinner, and welcome to Eight Forums.

A Windows 8 Pro upgrade copy uses a retail key, so yes you will be able to install it on any computer/motherboard you like so long as it's uninstalled from any others first.

Hope this helps,

Hi, The machine has a InsydeH20 bios, so at the password screen, hit enter 3 times and you should receive a 'halt code' - post back with this code. Regards, DP-K

On a Win XP machine you could delete the registry keys under HKLM\Enum as the last step before removing the MB and when the new MB was installed the Plug & Play would install the your hardware drivers and properly configure the new MB.

Is there a similar process that will work with Win 7? There is no HKLM\Enum key in Win 7 registry. There is a HKLM\System\Control Set 001\Enum.

Guys need some help here My motherboard died on me and so I had to change it together with the processor and RAM motherboard Win reinstall 7 not start will change after or as there were no socket motherboards available locally However Win blue screens every time on start up but very briefly so I can't see the error message Win repair then kicks in but finds nothing wrong so Win 7 will not start or reinstall after motherboard change it goes round and round like that ad infinitum All the repair methods I have found require that you work within windows which is patently stupid if you want to repair because you can't get windows to work - it's a bit like trying to open a box with a tool that's inside it I tried a new install which has backed up my old Windows as Windows old and it goes though all the paces but then refuses to accept the activation code I am now stuck with a non functioning PC and am scared to add anything in the future in case of this type of thing What can I do to recover the old Windows installation Les

A:Win 7 will not start or reinstall after motherboard change

Hello Les, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Is activation your only issue at this point?

It's not activating since you changed the motherboard, CPU, and RAM. It thinks you have installed it on a new computer with it still installed and activated on the old computer (motherboard etc...).

If you have a retail copy of Windows 7, then you should be able to do a phone activation, wait for the operator (if need be), and let them know that you changed out the motherboard, CPU, and RAM.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
