Preferred Solution: How come some background music of games sound different?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: How come some background music of games sound different?

try updating your sound drivers first, then you might want to look into past problems others might have had with this games sound. Since this happened to both your computers at the same time it sounds like the problem is the game.

A simple test to see if your speakers are broke is just...play music on them. Does it sound fine? yes? then it's not your speakers

unfortunatly without knowing what game it is that you are talking about I can't really look into any problems others have had with it.

Thanks my friends.

A:Background music player's sound becomes low

Those two things are weird
First of all your sound issue
Lets make sure that your windows are up to date
Then go to computer manufacturer's site and search for your model computer's Drivers
Update Chipset, audio, video USB, LAN, WLAN drivers (whatever applies to your computer)

Test it out and lets see what happens

Check any cables connected to speakers/headphones, both ends. While playing some music gently twist the ends & move them slightly in & out. See it there is any difference.

Edit - forget that. Just saw it is OK in Linux. Although...............

Hello, I've been having problems for quite some time now and upon google search after search there doesn't seem to be an answer. When the audio is on, for videos, games, music, etc. it sometimes "skips" like an old cd player. Its pretty obnoxious, and I'm wondering why exactly this is so. I'm assuming I have an old driver or something, because I upgraded my pc from win 7 to win 8 pro. Thanks for the help and let me know if anyone needs clarification!

A:Jittery sound when playing music/video games (Win 8 Pro)

Audio is always on a shared Interrupt (IRQ) with a higher priority device. Depending on the shared device, it can "interrupt" the audio and cause skipping.

If you have the HP supplied IDT audio driver for Win 7, it is also compatible for Win 8. However, check the Device Manager and see what devices are listed in the Sound section. You should ONLY have the correct IDT sound driver and possibly HDMI audio (if your system has this) and nothing else. If "HD Audio Codec" (the generic Windows installed sound driver) is also listed, or any other sound, except the IDT and possibly HDMI, uninstall those as they can cause conflicts and other audio problems. Restart the PC if you uninstalled anything.

If you only have the correct entries in the sound, RIGHT click on the entry for the IDG and then LEFT click "Uninstall" (do not uninstall the drivers). Then restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. This will fix any potential corruptions between Windows and the sound and sometimes will put the sound on a different shared IRQ and fix or mimimize any interruptions.

Rather than post a ZIP file of items, we usually just post screen shots. Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Eight Forums

If I simply run a line from the sound out jack on my computer and plug the other end into the computer mic, I get too much distortion and computer noise, not to mention low quality sound. This is also true if the audio is coming from an external source, like my Playstation or TV.

Suggestions?

A:Recording Music/Sound From My DVD/computer games/Playstation/etc?

You need a attenuator cable for that, Radio Shack used to sell them. You overloading the microphone input and clipping the audio. A microphone is a low level and the sound out is high level. A Attenuator cable reduces the level.

Many sound cards have a line input that would work OK.

A:HELP! music is playing in the background but no music program is open!

Are you close to a radio station's transmitter site and antenna? That sounds like "RFI" (Radio Frequency Interference" getting into your speaker system.

When you get it, unplug the speakers from the PC but leave them powered on and the volume up and see if you still get it. If you do it's RFI and the speaker system is picking it up or it's coming through the AC power line to the speakers. If this just started I would suspect either a bad cable ground or just a dirty plug connection somewhere in the system.

Hey! My comp can play music but when I play DVDs or run .avis I only get background music and the vocal audio is so low it's almost muted. I can't figure it out. I have DivX installed and AC3Filter as well but I use WMP and Cyberlink PowerDVD, no vocals from either. Do I need codecs? How do I find out which I need?

A:Music Plays / No Vocals in Movies / Background Music Plays

I've been able to boost sound with the AC3Filter and get DVD vocals now through WMP but I still am not getting any vocals from my DVDs when played through my Cyberlink PowerDVD. Any suggestions? I'm sure I'm missing a codec or something but I can't figure out what. The website I used to go to to download audio codecs for WMP11 looks down for the count so I'm at a loss.

Seems a bit silly, but (using the default xbox music app) I can't have music playing in the background. I want to be able to hear my music as I do other things (on the desktop in particular), but as soon as I switch to a different app, my music cuts off.

What gives? I'm pretty sure this is just me missing something - no way this would be built in. Or is there no way to get past the apps automatically suspending themselves? Shouldn't the music app start a background process? Searched, but couldn't find anything.

And having it playing but taking up a fifth of my screen is unacceptable: even my cell phone can keep things going in the background. Especially when hitting my volume button even shows a little media control. I can pause/skip a song, but not hear it?

I miss my Zune software.

A:Playing Music In The Background

I'm using the Slacker Radio App, it keeps playing if I leave Metro and go to my desktop. I'm listening to it now as I type this post in IE. I'm not suggesting you switch to Slacker Radio, I'm just pointing out that it's a metro app and it keeps playing in the background. I don't think your Xbox music app should quit like that. I don't use or even have that app installed so I can't be of much more help. I hope you get it working the way you want though.

I run windows xp and live at an RV site so have access to wifi for my internet. I have a steady stream of music that plays any time I have my sound on. It only started last night but if I play anything that requires sound this electronic music plays in the background. I have had other intrusions over time but for the most they are probably stray signals (?) that come and go. This one is steady and repetitive. Same instrumental over and over. I was playing theRADIO.com yesterday morning and had left that on. I thought it was a song playing on the radio when I came home but it wasn't. I just muted it last night but this morning when I got up and wanted to play one of my favorite music stations the background music is still there.

I am using Vista Ultimate 64 and Outlook.

I would like to put a .midi file in the background of an email msg.

I was able to do this with Outlook Express but don't know how to do it in Outlook.

Thank you.

I just installed an upgrade from Vista home premium to 7 home premium. Periodically, background music will just start playing on its own for no apparent reason. I have to reboot to stop the music, and it's fine for a while, then it will start again. Different music each time. Never did this in Vista. I have a Dell Studio 15 laptop running Windows 7 home premium, 64 bit.

I am having a problem where I have background ads: for example, I have had some from Zaxby's. At first, I thought it could have been from Mozilla Firefox, so I changed to Google Chrome. No difference.

You can't turn them off, and it doesn't matter what user I'm on. I can be at that main menu, music. BUT--- a user has to be logged in for the music to happen.

We have a Windows XP.

Also-- doesn't matter if any programs are up. Ads play anyway, over YouTube, Vevo, etc...

Hi all,

I dont know alot about how my computer works despite putting it together but it seems to have develped an annoying background music.
I cannot seem to work out where its coming from or how to turm it off. I first heard it last week after updating to windows media player 11, and now for no particular reason it suddenly starts playing monk music.
It does it if im on the internet or not and it still plays behind any music i do put on.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how i stop it please?
Cheers kez.

A:Email background music

You can't. Very few email clients will allow music to be played in the background. Outlook Express will, but the recipient needs to have OE as well.

No one with web mail can get the music any way other than by attachment.

I installed the VLC app from the windows store on my computer at work running Windows 8.1. The app is great for playing music (compared to the XBOX Music App), but when I minimize it or switch to another window, the music stops playing (unlike the XBOX Music app, which will keep playing music in the background). I can't find any settings to change this. Is the app just not able to play music in the background? Thanks

I posted this topic in another thread but I was directed to come here for reinstalling. I keep having random ads, music, and noises playing in my background and it's unpredictable. I have ZeroAccess rootkit on my laptop. I have an HP and got my laptop a little over a year ago but I was never given a CD to help reformat my system. I was wondering if there's a way I don't need that or a bootable USB to reformat my system.

Whenever I use my any headset to watch a movie or a video on youtube, the background music always seems to be louder then the people talking in the video. Sometimes the background music is so loud you cant hear anything else. It only occurs on my labtop/notebook. My computer is a gateway NV59C09u running windows 7 home premium. Can some one help me solve this?

A:Background music is louder then commentary

Have you tried using more than one pair of headphones to see if the headphones are the problem?

Check your audio settings, such as "Mixer", "Effects", etc. Many times there are "3D Audio" settings or something similar, that will cause background sounds to appear much louder. Also, if your sound card has different "surround sound" options/settings that could cause a problem as well. Make sure your card is on "stereo".

Also, check your Windows audio/mixer settings...

=> Control Panel
=> Hardware and Sound
=> Sound
=> Click on your Audio Device
=> Click on Properties
=> Click the Enhancements tab. Check your settings.

A:Background music when connecting computer to tv?

Hello and welcome to the forums! My name is SweetTech, it's a pleasure to meet you.

I am very sorry for the delay in responding, but as you can see we are at the moment being flooded with logs which, when paired with the never-ending shortage of helpers, resulted in the delayed responding to your thread.

If you have already received help elsewhere please inform me so that this topic can be closed.

If you have not, please adhere to the guidelines below and then follow instructions as outlined further below:

Logs from malware removal programs (OTL is one of them) can take some time to analyze. I need you to be patient while I analyze any logs you post.
Please make sure to carefully read any instruction that I give you.
Reading too lightly will cause you to miss important steps, which could have destructive effects.
If you're not sure, or if something unexpected happens, do NOT continue! Stop and ask!
These instructions have been specifically tailored to your computer and the issues you are experiencing with your computer. It's important to note that these instructions are not suitable for any other computer, even if the issues are fairly similar.
Do not do things I do not ask for, such as running a spyware scan on your computer. The one thing that you should always do, is to make sure sure that your anti-virus definitions are up-to-date!
If I instruct you to download a specific tool in which you already have, please delete the copy that you have and re-download the tool. The reason I ask you to do this is because these tools are updated fairly regularly.
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, all tools need to be started by right clicking and selecting Run as Administrator!
Please do not use the Attachment feature for any log file. Do a Copy/Paste of the entire contents of the log file and submit it inside your post.
I am going to stick with you until ALL malware is gone from your system. I would appreciate it if you would do the same. From this point, we're in this together
Because of this, you must reply within three days failure to reply will result in the topic being closed!
Please do not PM me directly for help. If you have any questions, post them in this topic. The only time you can and should PM me is when I have not been replying to you for several days (usually around 4 days) and you need an explanation. If that's the case, just send me a message on here.
Lastly, I am no magician. I will try very hard to fix your issues, but no promises can be made. Also be aware that some infections are so severe that you might need to resort to reformatting and reinstalling your operating system.
Don't worry, this only happens in severe cases, but it sadly does happen. Be prepared to back up your data. Have means of backing up your data available.

I am having problems with background music added to my dvd slideshow created from digital photos. The main menu music doesn't have this problem. It's only during the slideshow when the pictures are transitioning that it skips. I have tried both mp3 & wavs since I read that mp3 can make a cracking popping noise. & I have tried both downloaded music & music from store bought CDs. I have used Nero & MyDVD. I have also run it through DVD shrink and results were the same. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer. Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool from here:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/dl/81/ (for 32bit systems)http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/dl/82/ (for 64bit systems)Note: Wait for the direct download to begin, do not click on anything else on the page.save it to your desktop.Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. On some systems, this may take a few extra seconds. Please be patient and wait for the program to open.•After reading the Introduction, click 'Next' if you agree.•On the Update Database screen, click on the 'Update' button.•Once you see 'Success: Database was successfully updated' click on 'Next', then click the Scan button. With some infections, you may see two messages boxes:1.'Could not load protection driver'. Click 'OK'.2.'Could not load DDA driver'. Click 'Yes' to this message, to allow the driver to load after a restart. Allow the computer to restart. Continue with the rest of these instructions.•If malware is found, do NOT press the Cleanup button when the scan completes. Hello,

Sorry, I know there are several similar posts regarding this problem, but as I only know the very basics in computers, i'm having trouble following the responses and actions required.

We keep experiencing adverts (e.g. for Vanish) music and clicking playing in the background when no other applications are running.

I would really appreciate some help in resolving this!

let me know if you need any more information,

Hey everyone, I just got a new PC with Windows 7, and when I booted it up, during setup, this very cool mystical music was playing in the background. Does anyone know where I could find that media file? I looked in the media folder on my disk for it but could not find it. Thanks is advance.

A:Background music during Windows 7 Setup

Welcome to the forum, Cmills

It's probably some bloatware added by the PC manufacturer. Perhaps to make you feel good about spending the money. Besides the Windows startup clip of about 2-3 seconds, there is no music playing on a standard Windows installation or setup. You might check to see what's in the StartUp folder and see what programs are run.

Don't know what a s5-1114 is but if you fill in more of your system specs, someone might be able to give more details.

There are plenty of free audio extractors but Audacity is probably the best known one.

Hi folks,

Im running win2k.

I cant seem to find what is doing this but I get music from what sounds like an
underground radio station. It just starts out of nowhere. I ran everything from
hijack this to Virus checkers and such. It seems to go away after I run one of
these but comes back eventually.

Any ideas?

I've had this issue for a couple of days now It probably happened when I tried to videos, background just music dialogue in No the make a very short backwards No dialogue in videos, just the background music jump in VLC shift left arrow and my fingers slipped and I hit something else Now no dialogue in any of the videos just the background music Audio options seem okay in VLC and I also reset the settings completely No help Then I discovered it was happening all over the platform No dialogue in videos, just the background music QuickTime did it too I googled all over the place with no results The dialogue comes back at random when I mess with unplugging the audio jack and putting it back in Sometimes works sometimes doesn't sometimes I need to leave the audio jack half way out to hear the dialogue Sometimes plugging the headphones in the front audio jack helps sometimes not I discovered that the front jack was somehow set to surround but I reset it back to stereo No help Usually the issue happens when I open a file File plays okay I close it re-open it then it may or may not have dialogue Other way around too doesn't play doesn't doesn't and then it does Completely random It's frustrating as hell Using Win x bit Ultimate with headphones

A:No dialogue in videos, just the background music

Have you tried to restore back to when the dialog was coming through.

Greetings and Welcome to The Forums!!My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems. I have put together somethings for you to keep in mind while I am helping you to make things go easier and faster for both of usPlease do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.
We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability. Please do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.
Due to the high volume of logs we receive it helps to receive everything in the same format, and code boxes make the logs very difficult to read. Also, attachments require us to download and open the reports when it is easier to just read the reports in your post. Please read every post completely before doing anything.
Pay special attention to the NOTE: lines, these entries identify an individual issue or important step in the cleanup process. Please provide feedback about your experience as we go.
A short statement describing how the computer is working helps us understand where to go next, for example: I am still getting redirected, the computer is running normally, etc. Please do not describe the computer as "the same", this requires the extra step of looking back at your previous post.NOTE: At the top of your post, click on the Watch Topic Button, select Immediate Notification, and click on Proceed. This will send you an e-mail as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing us to resolve the issue faster. NOTE: Backup any files that cannot be replaced. Removing malware can be unpredictable and this step can save a lot of hartaches if things don't go as planed. You can put them on a CD/DVD, external drive or a pen drive, anywhere except on the computer. NOTE: It is good practice to copy and paste the instructions into notepad and print them in case it is necessary for you to go offline during the cleanup process. To open notepad, navigate to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad. Please remember to copy the entire post so you do not miss any instructions.DeFogger: Please download DeFogger to your desktop.

Double click DeFogger to run the tool.
The application window will appear Click the Disable button to disable your CD Emulation drivers Click Yes to continue A 'Finished!' message will appear Click OKDeFogger may ask you to reboot the machine, if it does - click OKDo not re-enable these drivers until otherwise instructed.-AdwCleaner-Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
Close all open programs and internet browsers.Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.Click on Delete.Confirm each time with Ok.Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart. Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer. You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.--RogueKiller-- Download & SAVE to your Desktop RogueKiller or from here
Quit all programs that you may have started. Please disconnect any USB or external drives from the computer before you run this scan! For Vista or Windows 7, right-click and select "Run as Administrator to start"For Windows XP, double-click to start. Wait until Prescan has finished ... Then Click on "Scan" button Wait until the Status box shows "Scan Finished"click on "delete" Wait until the Status box shows "Deleting Finished" Click on "Report" and copy/paste the content of the Notepad into your next reply. The log should be found in RKreport[1].txt on your DesktopExit/Close RogueKiller+Gringo

I have heard this place is the most reliable to go and I am eager to find a solution to my computer's problems About a week ago I contracted the Malware Defense virus After hours of downloading malware bytes re Random Music Freezing/Background downloading its exe files and other stuff I was able to kick it off my system But ever since its been gone my system has been freezing randomly every half hour It locks up to the point where the task manager wont even open by ctrl alt delete and I have to reboot it manually It gets even more complicated from here If I shut it down manually upon starting I am able to sign in to my account and get to my desktop Once I get to the desktop the screen freezes and only permits me to move my mouse similar to that Random Freezing/Background Music prank where you hide the taskbar and desktop icons and throw up a background of a normal desktop except I cant click anything The only way to get it to boot up normally is once I manually start it on the login in screen or in safe mode I tell it to restart I'm thinking that Malware Defense jacked up a driver or something because nothing is detected when I run anti-malware spyware virus scans Another weird thing is that when I'm on facebook or something I hear an advertisement that doesn't pertain to any ad on the the website and doesn't stop when I close my browser I AM REALLY ANNOYED I know I need to run some scans before you can target the problem and I'm eager to hear a response

A:Music keeps playing in background. IE keeps crashing

Greetings and Welcome to The Forums!!My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.I have put together somethings for you to keep in mind while I am helping you to make things go easier and faster for both of usPlease do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.
Please remember to copy the entire post so you do not miss any instructions.Security CheckDownload Security Check by screen317 from here.Save it to your Desktop.Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.Run Combofix:You may be asked to install or update the Recovery Console (Win XP Only) if this happens please allow it to do so (you will need to be connected to the internet for this)Before you run Combofix I will need you to turn off any security software you have running, If you do not know how to do this you can find out >here< or >here<Combofix may need to reboot your computer more than once to do its job this is normal. You can download Combofix from one of these links.Link 1Link 2Link 31. Close any open browsers or any other programs that are open.2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts. When finished, it will produce a report for you. Note 1: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stallNote 2: If you recieve an error "Illegal operation attempted on a registery key that has been marked for deletion." Please restart the computer"information and logs"In your next post I need the following

Hi
I have had a lots of problems with errorsafe and regcleaner. Now I hear an irritating music that is looping in the background of my computer. Can that be some kind of infection? Just for the records, I have not been successful in removing either errorsafe of regcleaner, as no software find them, and I can not find them in the registry or folders.

Anyone who can tell me how to get rid of this irritating music in the first way?

Thank you all

Greetings everyone,

Got a problem I cannot solve, Whilst I am online music blurts out from the speakers.  They are ads that are running.  Problem is I just cannot solve it.

I have tried running:

Avast
Malwarebytes
AWD Cleaner (or is that ADW cleaner!)

I think it may be something that has infested Firefox or IE (although I do not use IE).

Any ideas please?

Many thanks

Jake Shiraz

I sure could use some help. I have created a DVD slideshow with pictures of my son and would like to put background music to it. I am using intervideo WinDVD creator 2 because it came with the computer. The pictures were easy to load and I created the DVD and it played well on the television. Now I did a practice one. I went back and downloaded a song that I would like to put with it and I have tried everything to get it to play throughout the show but it only will play for each picture. I put it on the first picture and it plays the 5 seconds that the picture shows and then stops. I can put it on each picture but it will start over for each picture. What am I doing wrong?

A:using background music for slideshow(intervideo winDVD)

Its been awhile since I used WinDVD but here goes......

After you put your music file on the first picture, click "View" on the menu bar; select "Toggle Timeline/Story line". The view will now change & you will be able to see a music bar with the title of the song you selected, left click on the right end of the bar & a two way arrow will appear, drag the bar to the end of the last pic or where ever you may want it to stop.
Play around, you can also change the duration of each slide, etc. Have fun

I've used this in the past & its veru easy to make a pro looking dvd.

Hi, kirakun03 Please download and run Rkill by Grinler from any of the following locations (Vista and Win7: to run the application, right click on Rkill and choose Run as an Administrator): rkill.exerkill.comrkill.scrrkill.pif Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here. Never download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from other sources.Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan. The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.Extra Note:If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly. Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.**Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**Please, never rename Combofix unless instructed.Close any open browsers.Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.-----------------------------------------------------------Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.-----------------------------------------------------------Close any open browsers. WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it startsPlease do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished. If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection.-----------------------------------------------------------Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.Install the Recovery Console if prompted. When finished, it will produce a report for you. Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" .**Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall**Note: ComboFix may reset a number of Internet Explorer's settings, including making it the default browser.Note: Combofix prevents autorun of ALL CDs, floppies and USB devices to assist with malware removal & increase security. Please do not install any new programs or update anything (always allow your antivirus/antispyware to update) unless told to do so while we are fixing your problem. If combofix alerts to a new version and offers to update, please let it. It is essential we always use the latest version.

I've never experienced or heard that you could have No dialogue in videos, but have the background music. I checked speakers, new sound drivers, Run every virus, malware check I could think of ....nothing.I even went back to factory setting...ie you know when you have to reinstall everything that wasn't installed.

I'm not on the computer that this happened too. It is a new Gateway 64 bit, window 7 with Realistic sound.

A:Windows 7 - No dialogue in videos, just the background music

If this is a specific group or set of similar videos, it may be that they are in 5.1 or even 7.1 and the components of the audio have been specifically channeled; so the voice audio would be there but you wouldn't hear it if the two fronts and center channels were not being mixed properly and that's where the voice recordings were.
The other possibility is that they were hard recorded out of the video, like a karaoke mix.

I would like to make some CD's of family pictures with music playing in the background, some .jpg's, some .gif's, a mix of things..... Will probably be using Paint SHop Pro to get the graphics the way I want them. My question is - what is the best software to use for creating such a thing.

I have NERO - it says I can use it for such purpose, using "Create a Multi-Media CD", but I have not been able to get it to work....the music plays first, and then the pictures go....can't get them to display with the music playing at the same time.
ANy opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CORPORATE/COMPANY OWNED COMPUTERS

Please do not request assistance for corporate/company owned computers. Many changes/deletions are made during the clean up process, some of which may involve uninstalling programs, deleting folders/files, changing settings and/or removing policies etc. As we have no way of knowing for sure if these are actually needed for company operations, malware issues in these cases should be handled by your own IT Departments in order to avoid any undesirable results.

I have some kind of sound thing on here called AC97 Sound Configuration which was put on by the guy who rebuilt my computer. I have some kind of music playing in the background which if I put it on there, was done without my knowing. How do I get it off. Also, I just want Windows media or whatever is simple to listen to music if I want to. Please tell me how to rid my computer of this stuff.
Thank you,

A:Music will not stop playing in background on my computer

"AC97 Sound Configuration" is most likely the the audio chipset software.

As for the music, you will need to find what is playing the music. It could be a webpage, a media player, another application, or several other sources.

WMP (Windows Media Player) is part of the OS and should already be installed/useable on the PC.

I am getting annoying music and ads playing in the background. I have not visited any "rude" sites so am at a loss to know where it comes from - spybot, adaware and AVG tell me my my systems clear ? I am reasonably new to this so a simple step by step would help; thanks. Regards, webby048.

Have a Win.7 SP1 Laptop here that has issues with google redirects and playing ad's in the background randomly with no windows or anything else open. Processes look clear to me. Have ran SpybotS&D, Malwarebytes, AVG Free, Hi-Jack This, Crap Cleaner. From what I read, it seems to be a rootkit issue but when trying to install TDSSKiller, setup just never runs. Have tried to setup in Safemode but no good. Have tried running Rkill prior to attemping install of TDSS and that did nothing either. Please help... Don't know what else to do anymore. Thanks.

I'm on XP btw. Everytime I search something in google, it takes about 6 seconds before the results actually show up. Then when I click a link, I get redirected, and then firefox prompts me to open/save a file that's just called "search". Also, I hear random music/audio go on, then when I go into the task manager, it's a random iexplore.exe process. Once I close it, the music stops, but it just randomly opens up for some reason. What do I do?

A:Redirect virus, random music playing in the background, help?

Hello ozeal,My name is Cody and I'll be helping you clean up your computer. I will reply to your posts as soon as possible -- typically within 24 hours. In turn, I ask that you please respond within 72 hours. If you know you will be away longer than that, I just ask for notice ahead of time. Please do note any time differences between us. If I do not respond within 48 hours, feel free to send me a private message.==========================================================================Some points for you to keep in mind:Backup any files that cannot be replaced. Removing malware can be unpredictable and this step can save a lot of heartaches if things don't go as planned. You can put them on a CD/DVD, external drive or a pen drive, anywhere except on the computer. We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability. Please do not run any tools or take any steps other than those I will provide for you while we work on your computer together. I need to be certain about the state of your computer in order to provide appropriate and effective steps for you to take. Most often "well intentioned" (and usually panic driven!) independent efforts can make things much worse for both of us. If at any point you would prefer to take your own steps please let me know, I will not be offended. I would be happy to focus on the many others who are waiting in line for assistance.Do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.Periodically update me on the condition of your computer, and provide detail in every post.In the upper right hand corner of the topic you will see the button. Click on this then choose Immediate E-Mail notification and then Proceed and you will be sent an email once I have posted a response. If you do not reply to your topic after 5 days we assume it has been abandoned and I will close it.Once things seem to be working again, please do not abandon the thread. I will give an "all-clean" message at the very end with some additional information on how to stay malware-free.Lastly, I would like to remind you that most members here are volunteers, and sometimes "real life" can get in the way of our malware hunt. I will notify you if I know I will need to be away for longer than 48 hours.==========================================================================Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST)Download Farbar Recover Scan Tool for either 32 bit or 64 bit systems and save it to your desktopIf you are unsure if you have 32 bit or 64 bit simply download and try one. A:virus. random background ads\music, svchost using alot of ram.

Hello, spiderbug2.
My name is etavares and I will be helping you with this log.

Here are some guidelines to ensure we are able to get your machine back under your control.

Please do not run any unsupervised scans, fixes, etc.  We can work against each other and end up in a worse place.
Please subscribe to this topic if you have not already done so.  Please check back just in case, as the email system can fail at times.
Just because your machine is running better does not mean it is completely cleaned.  Please wait for the 'all clear' from me to say when we are done.
Please reply within 3 days to be fair to other people asking for help.
When in doubt, please stop and ask first.  There's no harm in asking questions!

Step 1

Two Antiviruses Warning

I do not recommend that you have more than one anti virus product installed and running on your computer at a time.  The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, then those products which do not encrypt the virus strings within them can cause other anti virus products to cause "false alarms".  It can also lead to a clash as both products fight for access to files which are opened again this is the resident/automatic protection. In general terms, the two programs may conflict and cause:
1) False Alarms: When the anti virus software tells you that your PC has a virus when it actually doesn't.
2) System Performance Problems: Your system may lock up due to both products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Therefore please go to add/remove in the control panel and remove either Microsoft Security Essentials or Comodo Antivirus.

Step 2

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to a flash drive.

Plug the flashdrive into the infected PC.

If you are using Windows 8 consult How to use the Windows 8 System Recovery Environment Command Prompt to enter System Recovery Command prompt.

If you are using Vista or Windows 7 enter System Recovery Options.

To enter System Recovery Options from the Advanced Boot Options:

Restart the computer.
As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
Use the arrow keys to select the Repair your computer menu item.
Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
Select your user account an click Next.

To enter System Recovery Options by using Windows installation disc:
Insert the installation disc.
Restart your computer.
If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc. If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or DVD, check your BIOS settings.
Click Repair your computer.
Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
Select your user account and click Next.

On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:
Startup Repair
System Restore
Windows Complete PC Restore
Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
Command Prompt

Select Command Prompt

Once in the Command Prompt:
In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
Select "Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
In the command window type e:\frst (for x64 bit version type e:\frst64)  and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
The tool will start to run.
When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make ... Read more

A:Computer playing music and ads in background - Zekos Trofan?

Hi there,my name is Marius and I will assist you with your malware related problems. Before we move on, please read the following points carefully.First, read my instructions completely. If there is anything that you do not understand kindly ask before proceeding.Perform everything in the correct order. Sometimes one step requires the previous one.If you have any problems while following my instructions, Stop there and tell me the exact nature of your problem.Do not run any other scans without instruction or add/remove software unless I tell you to do so. This would change the output of our tools and could be confusing for me.Post all logfiles as a reply rather than as an attachment unless I specifically ask you. If you can not post all logfiles in one reply, feel free to use more posts. If I don't hear from you within 3 days from this initial or any subsequent post, then this thread will be closed.Stay with me. I will give you some advice about prevention after the cleanup process. Absence of symptoms does not always mean the computer is clean. My first language is not english. So please do not use slang or idioms. It could be hard for me to read. Thanks for your understanding.     HijackThis is not the preferred initial scanning tool in this forum. With today's malware, a more comprehensive set of logs is required to determine the presence of malware.    Scan with FRST in normal modePlease download Farbar's Recovery Scan Tool to your desktop: FRST 32bit or FRST 64bit (If not sure: Start --> Computer (right click) --> properties) Run FRST.Don´t change one of the checkboxes and hit Scan.Logfiles are created on your desktop.Poste the FRST.txt and (after the first scan only!) the Addition.txt.     Scan with TDSS-KillerPlease read and follow these instructions carefully. We do not want it to fix anything yet (if found), we need to see a report first.Download TDSSKiller.zip and extract to your desktopExecute TDSSKiller.exe by doubleclicking on it.Press Start ScanIf Malicious objects are found, do NOT select Copy to quarantine. Change the action to Skip, and save the log.Once complete, a log will be produced at the root drive which is typically C:\ ,for example, C:\TDSSKiller.<version_date_time>log.txtPlease attach this file to your next reply.

Hello, I've been dealing this for 2 days now and I've ran Malware Bytes, ESET, and some other programs but its not fixing this problem. It happened out of no where, the sounds, while I was playing a video game and no idea how it got onto my PC. The exe even closes by itself at times, resulting in a restart or shuts down my computer. A friend recommends a clean install of the Operating System but I don't want to deal with that again. These sounds playing while having no web browser or video open is annoying, and such a troll.
Please help

A:Svchost.exe is causing random music/ads background noises

Hello! Welcome to BleepingComputer Forums!
My name is Georgi and and I will be helping you with your computer problems.
Before we begin, please note the following:
I will working be on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
The logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me.
Stay with the topic until I tell you that your system is clean. Missing symptoms does not mean that everything is okay.
Instructions that I give are for your system only!
Please do not run any tools until requested ! The reason for this is so I know what is going on with the machine at any time. Some programs can interfere with others and hamper the recovery process.
Please perform all steps in the order received. If you can't understand something don't hesitate to ask.
Again I would like to remind you to make no further changes to your computer unless I direct you to do so. I will not help you if you do not follow my instructions.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
Also
Please re-run FRST again and type the following in the edit box after Search: rpcss.dll
Click the Search button
It will make a log (Search.txt)- please post the log into your reply to me. (you can use pastebin as well).

Regards,
Georgi

I'm using an older version of Intervideo WinDVD. I put the mp3 music onto the timeline, and when I press the play button for the DVD to play, the music plays in very slow motion/distorted. When I double-click on the music file itself in WinDVD at the top, it plays fine. HELP!

Hi,

My computer has recently been quite slow and I suspect a virus is to blame.  Symptoms are:

-Music/ads occasionally mysteriously playing in the background (This usually happens while streaming videos on Google Chrome)
-Computer slow, occasionally freezing/locking up when only a couple programs are running

My OS is Windows 7 Home with SP1,

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Each time I try to play a song or video in wmp, itunes, VLC media player, InterVideo, etc. I get absolutely no sound. Videos play, I can see the images perfectly fine, but there's silence.
However, if I want to watch a video on youtube or anywhere else online, the sound works. There's got to be a simple solution to this but I can't seem to find it. Any help? I've been putting up with this for a long time and I'd really like to finally get it sorted out.
Oh and before you ask, the media players are not muted.

Hello and welcome. Many times it is a TDSS rootkit.Download Security Check from HERE, and save it to your Desktop. * Double-click SecurityCheck.exe * Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box. * A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that documentPlease download the TDSS Rootkit Removing Tool (TDSSKiller.exe) and save it to your Desktop. <-Important!!!Be sure to download TDSSKiller.exe (2.6.11.0) from Kaspersky's website and not TDSSKiller.zip which appears to be an older version 2.3.2.2 of the tool.Double-click on TDSSKiller.exe to run the tool for known TDSS variants.
Vista/Windows 7 users right-click and select Run As Administrator. If TDSSKiller does not run, try renaming it. To do this, right-click on TDSSKiller.exe, select Rename and give it a random name with the .com file extension (i.e. 123abc.com). If you do not see the file extension, please refer to How to change the file extension.Click the Start Scan button.Do not use the computer during the scanIf the scan completes with nothing found, click Close to exit.If malicious objects are found, they will show in the Scan results - Select action for found objects and offer three options.Ensure Cure (default) is selected, then click Continue > Reboot now to finish the cleaning process.A log file named TDSSKiller_version_date_time_log.txt (i.e. TDSSKiller.2.4.0.0_27.07.2010_09.o7.26_log.txt) will be created and saved to the root directory (usually Local Disk C:).Copy and paste the contents of that file in your next reply. If TDSSKiller does not run, try renaming it. To do this, right-click on TDSSKiller.exe, select Rename and give it a random name with the .com file extension (i.e. 123abc.com). If you do not see the file extension, please refer to these[/color] instructions. In some cases it may be necessary to redownload TDSSKiller and randomly rename it before downloading and saving to the computer.Next run MBAM (MalwareBytes):Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.Download Link 1Download Link 2MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
For instructions with screenshots, please refer to the How to use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Guide. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the definition updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is c... Music or radio stations start playing automatically. It appears to be the same stations and commercial over and over. When I disconnect Internet connection they play out and then stop. Task manager shows nothing running. This is using up 100% of system resources. I have McAfee installed, I have tried Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, spy bot, and Kaspersky with no luck in regular mode and safe mode.
I am by no means good with computers. I do fear that I have a virus/malware.
All help appreciated

Hello pike steamer I would like to welcome you to the Malware Removal section of the forum.Around here they call me Gringo and I will be glad to help you with your malware problems.Very Important --> Please read this post completely, I have spent my time to put together somethings for you to keep in mind while I am helping you to make things go easier, faster and smoother for both of us!Please do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability. Please do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.Due to the high volume of logs we receive it helps to receive everything in the same format, and code boxes make the logs very difficult to read. Also, attachments require us to download and open the reports when it is easier to just read the reports in your post. Please read every post completely before doing anything.Pay special attention to the NOTE: lines, these entries identify an individual issue or important step in the cleanup process. Please provide feedback about your experience as we go.A short statement describing how the computer is working helps us understand where to go next, for example: I am still getting redirected, the computer is running normally, etc. Please do not describe the computer as "the same", this requires the extra step of looking back at your previous post.NOTE: At the top of your post, click on the "Follow This Topic" Button, make sure that the "Receive notification" box is checked and that it is set to "Instantly" - This will send you an e-mail as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing us to resolve the issue faster.NOTE: Backup any files that cannot be replaced. Removing malware can be unpredictable and this step can save a lot of heartaches if things don't go as planed. You can put them on a CD/DVD, external drive or a pen drive, anywhere except on the computer.NOTE: It is good practice to copy and paste the instructions into notepad and print them in case it is necessary for you to go offline during the cleanup process. To open notepad, navigate to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad. Please remember to copy the entire post so you do not miss any instructions..I would like you to run this program for me.Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.Press Scan button. It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply. The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply..I would also like to get some extra information on one of the files on the computerRun FRST like you did before and Type the following in the edit box after "Search:".rpcss.dllIt then should look like:Search: rpcss.dllClick Search button and post the log (Search.txt) it makes to your reply.Gringo

Hi,
I have a PC-Chips M848 ALU V2.1 motherboard with an onboard soundcard, C-media CMI9739A 6 channel audio.
I have downloaded the latest driver from the PC chips website, as the one that came on the CD didn't work at all. I also have the AC97 Realtek drivers installed.

My problem is that if I try & play an MP3 or a DVD the sound gets really jumpy or if it's missing part of the track out. It sounds like when there is a thumbprint on a CD & it skips over it.

Now I'm new to this so it might be something simple like it is set up to play through 6 speakers or something & as I only have 2 that is the problem, if it is great but can someone tell me how to do this. If not can someone suggest some other solutions??

I'm running XP Pro.

thanks,

A:on board sound problems - sound keeps jumping / dropping music.

Onboard audio can use alot of system resources and you will get audio artifacts when there are programs running in the background, system memory is low or you have an under powered processor. Win XP Pro has alot of crap running in the background. What are your other system specs? You may want to think about getting a sound card. Good ones run $20-30.

Hi,
Is there a way to make a background music to play in a continuous loop in Windows DVD Maker? I don't find any "loop" option in the Wizard. So I'm trying to add the music file for multiple times. Unfortunately, it looks like the Windows DVD Maker
cannot play so many times as per my design. For example, I added 8 times of the same music, while the photo video was playing, it only played one time, and then it was muted for a few minutes, and then started playing one time again, and
then muted for a few mintues, and then playing again...
Seems a bug of Windows DVD Maker. Anyway, I'm not sure of it...

Hello.
I am just wondering if there is a way to set a downloaded swf game file as a desktop background.
The idea is to be able to play the game straight from desktop and not from IE .
For example, I would just click the start button on the desktop background and the game will start, instead of opening the swf file using IE.

A:Set swf games as desktop background?

Hello,

Open the swf with the Flash Projector executable.

https://www.adobe.com/support/flashp...downloads.html

Optional:
Put the executable in a safe place (for instance in its own folder in program files). You can even assign it to open swf by default, if you like.

yes after i've done playing my Gunz game, i realize my computer is running super slow, so i open winpatrol and i see that my game seems to still be running in the background it happens everytime i close it, so any reason why its not shutting down proper

P.S i'm not sure if this the proper place to post this lol. >_<

A:games running in background

Does it stay running in the background forever?

OR does it run for a little while then close?

Check in Ctrl+Alt+Del under "processes" after you've shut it. If its a process taking it large chunks of RAM, to be released from RAM after you close it takes a while.

Sounds like you are missing some sound codecs, at the very least. Luckily Techspot can provide them for you...
