Preferred Solution: Whats Parts Should I Upgrade?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

What's the problem? You should be able to record no problem.

Maybe get another dedicated HDD for it.

A:Which parts should i upgrade?

besides changing the case if you change the mb and if the os is oem, then you will also have to replace it. looking over the specs, I would not put any money into it - Too old.

Looks alright. Don't know why you're getting such a high output PSU though, unless you get more GPUs.

I upgrade in the following

CPU Every Second Release as performance is normally 10-15% better with AMD

Graphics Upgrade When Needed/ Meaning If i notice capability issues and/or Problems with games on Ultra Settings

Ram Upgrade only if there is an improvement that is noticeable with System/PC which 9 out of 10 there is no difference Only on BENCHMARKS

Motherboard Upgrade only when CPU has changed to a different Socket Type

PSU Upgrade minimal/ when its required and 100% needed i will upgrade

I as most people don't have money just sitting there. I just don't get why you would get every next release for such a small improvement Meaning lets say someone had the FX-8150 and then decided to buy the next FX-8350 for such a small increase in speeds

I wanna know People's Thoughts on this and would you consider yourself to be a component Upgrade *Freak

*sorry if this offends anyone

Hi it's time for me to be upgrading my Time parts. [Upgrade] for some new pc I am looking to upgrade the following components Ram Motherboard Hard Drive s I would like to keep my AMD cpu as it seems to meet criteria of the games i play My graphics card is running smooth and does ok for it's self for the time [Upgrade] Time for some new parts. being But this will be upgraded to a in time to come I would also like to stay on the AMD side of hardware The problem is i don't know what i should look for in a motherboard Also the same with ram with [Upgrade] Time for some new parts. boards i've looked at and ram ranging from mhz the MOBO requires OCing Anyhow i would really appreciate any help in trying to find these parts as my main concern is Battlefield it ran perfect on high but i just wanna give it the extra boost to ultra I'm hopefully trying to keep a price range of - Thank you for reading and any help concerning

A:[Upgrade] Time for some new parts.

There is no system that will run bf3 perfectly on ultra.
It runs fine on high on my own system which is terribly outdated. (minus a somewhat recently upgraded graphics card)

I have never heard of something 'requiring overclocking' such a thing would be absolutely ridiculous.

Some things that might be useful in getting suggestions though.
What is more important for your hard drives, speed or storage space?
My honest opinion is you should just keep the ram you have for now, or just replace with 8 gigs of the same.
Your biggest hold up is you are using a 32inch display.
This is going to make graphics all the more picky.
I personally have access to a 42inch display but actually use my little 24 inch asus as it seems to render cleaner.

I have a pretty old computer.. it was made by a local company in 98, its a p3 551mhz, 128 mb ram, 20 gig hd, win98se, RAGE IIC AGP as my video card.

Now, I was wondering if it would be better overall to upgrade the ram to 256 mb, install a p4 3ghz(give or take) processor and get a new graphics card or would a new computer be better?

A few months ago I called the store where I got my computer and they said that I couldn't upgrade any video cards.. i was a little skeptical on their answer because a have a friend who upgraded his graphics card on his computer, also from 98 but different company, last year and it worked fine.

My friend has an Acer X3400 (slimline so smaller than standard desktops and normal stuff will not fit in it) and is playing SWTOR and needs a new video card has it runs on a on-board Geforce 9200 and will need a bigger power supply prob. as it has only a 220 power supply in it - I was like wt... has his computer is only a year old. Coupe Questions:

1. if went from 4GB of RAM to 8GB (the max it can have) will we beable to allocate RAM to the video card?,

2. what video card (remember good for gaming) and power supply do you recommend?

David

A:Acer X3400 parts upgrade

You shouldn't allocate system ram for a video card while playing games but you can in many cases I think. The new video card should come with it's own ram for its exclusive use. You'll need to find a half-height video card to fit in that case. Most gaming cards aren't half-height.

There are plenty of small PSUs that can provide power for a small video card. Which power supply he gets depends on how much space is actually available for a new PSU and the power requirements for the new video card and probably a few other factors I haven't considered yet.

If that is the back of your friends computer I don't think the power supply easily comes off. The power socket seems to be built into the case. You'd probably need a BTX case & power supply and then you could go nuts with a new video card. Even if you did get a new case, you wouldn't have a back plate to put in place. See the number 10. It seems to be built into the case and would make replacing the power supply difficult. That may be an ATX motherboard in a BTX case; I can't tell from here.

Hi!
I want upgrade my PC some parts including "Processor,VGA etc" so i want select most suitable parts. So are there're any special utility software for that? If so please tell me it name or download link.

A:How to select suitable PC parts for Upgrade?

Software, no. The hardware manufacturer, Google and common sense; yes.

In your case you start with the motherboard,

Support for the Intel? Desktop Board DG31PR

and then see what its CPU support is,

Intel? Processors and Boards Compatibility Tool - Search Results Page

As far as a video card goes, as long as you have a PCI-E x16 slot available and enough room inside the case depending on the size of the card, whatever you want based on what you plan on doing with it and how much you're willing to spend. Depending on what card you want, you may also have to factor in a new power supply if the current one isn't up to running the video card (as well as everything else inside the computer).

My Computer uses a 2.0 GHz Amd Athlon II 170u CPU, Nvidia GeForce 9200, 3 GB of DDR3 SDRAM, as well as a 500 gb HDD. My AMD has a AM3 Socket (941 pin). My freq usually stays around 799.97MHz when idle. My VID is 0.9250 v. The Lithography is 45nm. My CPU id is 0x100F63. TDP is 19.9 watts. My Temp readings are: TJ.Max: 70C. my CPU usually stays around 30C when idle and max is 32C. Thank you so much in advanced. Oh also my Computer is a Acer Aspire Z3100-U3072 All-In-One Desktop.

A:Recommended Parts for a new Processor Upgrade.

The only one who can tell you IF you can use that cpu is acer. Big box systems use proprietary parts ie the mb is made to acer standards NOT industry standards.

Unless that cpu was an option for your system when you purchased it, my guess is that the bios does not support it however you need to check with the system maker.

In addition the 955 is a 125W cpu so most likely the mb does not have the necessary VRs to pw that cpu; again ask acer.

Hello Updated the CPU on a M58p (9964, small form factor version) to a Q9650.  Updated the heatsink to the 43N9874 part (see FRU number on the fan housing) which looks to be the correct part from the description at:https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/pd002482  However, I can't keep the system cool (tried reseating a couple times with different thermal greases, no real change).  I saw another part on the list, 41R6454, which is listed as a "95W thermal kit".  Is that somehow different than the heatsink?  I can't find a picture of it anywhere to know if its maybe the 'missing' part to keeping this system cooled down. Thanks!

A:Difference between parts for a M58p CPU upgrade

Just a follow up... Still don't know what the other part number is, but I've been able to get the system to 'keep cool' by moving the thermal sensor from its original location next to the speaker, back to behind the CPU heatsink.  No idea how a thermal sensor out in front of all the heat producing parts is meant to signal the system to increase the fan speed, but placing it just behind the heat sink now has the fan rpms changing with increasing CPU load and keeping the system in the upper 30s at idle, and upper 50s under load.

My PC is a year old and runs 8.1.  TBH it needs a reinstall badly as the apps dont launch anymore and I can 't seem to fix it.

Prior to downloading Win 10 do you think it would be a good idea to reload 8.1 as a fresh install?

..otherwise would Win 10 port over my Office 365 if I didn't do the 8.1 reinstall?

A:Whats the smartest way to upgrade from 8.1.

Hi Red Kelt If you do a fresh install (or a Factory Reset) of your laptop before installing Windows 10, you'll have to install the KB3035583 again in order to have the "Get Windows 10" app to reserve your copy of Windows 10. Otherwise, the upgrade won't be downloaded automatically on your system once Windows 10 gets released on July 29th. Another idea would be to wait for the Windows 10 .iso to be published on Microsoft's website, download it, create an installation media and perform a fresh installation of it. It's your choice. Also, yes, the upgrade will port all your compatible programs to Windows 10, and Office 365 is one of these compatible programs.

ok Some of you were helping me with this PC on another issue. Now heres my question. I need to do some homework and I wanted to make sure my research is well founded. I have a Dell Dimension E521 and from what I understand I can upgrade it (with the STOCK cooler) up to a Athlon 64 X2 6000+ . Is this correct? Can someone verify my info for me? I wanted to make sure it will fit before I buy it. thanks in advance for any help. BTW: yes I know its an OLD AM2 socket BUT I got the computer off CL for 30 bucks so i wanted to tinker with it for a fun project and I figured I might as well.

Hello there,
Im fixin to upgrade my computer and i will also be upgrading the mobo too. I was looking at the asus p4pe board but then i found out about that "cold boot" problem where after the computer has been off for a few hours it wont boot back up. Now im looking at the gigabyte GA-8PE667. It is also based on the PE chipset. It looks like a good buy to me. Im trying to stay in the $100-$120 range. Is the GA-8PE667 a good board to buy or is there a better one then that for the same price? Any opinions??

Thanks for the help!
Sam

A:Whats a good Motherboard to upgrade to???

Hi There 311Sam

I don't know what country your from - cause money diff's can mean alot when it comes to buying. I'm running a 1 month old SOYO SY-P4X400 Dragon Ultra Platinum Edition and I've never been so happy This board is awsome, it was last years motherboard of the year - a little pricy though I paid $300.00 Canadian for it. But if you ever plan on putting a window in your computer for you and for show it's a nice lookin' board also.
Here's the link to this board if your interested http://www.soyousa.com/products/proddesc.php?id=159

Have fun decidin'

A:Looking to upgrade my hard drive need some help on choosing whats right for me?

the fast mainstream Hard drives are the Western Digital Raptors, they are 10,000 RPM and usually come in 74 GB sizes for about $120 at www.newegg.com
next come the SATA drives that are quite cheap also..200 GB seagate barracudas could be $100 when onsale also at newegg or www.tigerdirect.com
you currently have an IDE which is about $40 cheaper than the SATA equivalent sizes. 250 GB Maxtor is $60 at tigerdirect. they go at 7200 RPM and some go at 5400 RPM, stay away from 5400... too slow.

Run CWShredder first.(link below) Do you use AdAware and Spybot? If not download - install - update - and run them both. Delete all that they find for malwares.

Then run Housecall (link below).

When finished, post a new log please.

Hey there,

When it comes to computers I have a reasonable knowledge, but Laptops completly and utterly elude me. I have no idea what is classed as "good" spec wise for a laptop which will allow for decent gaming considering the lack of upgrading in the future for it.

Now I live in the UK, and am also finding it hard finding a decent place to buy one from. There are literally tons of options, but with laptops it seems to be harder to find non-high street vendors that sell that with decent reviews.

Any tips in general guys?

A:Laptops in the UK - Whats good, whats bad?

Hi,
I agree, there's very little choice of suppliers other than the chains (Tesco, PCWorld, Currys, Dixons etc) which all have more or less the same.

Have you tried the site Which Local? It's run by the consumer group Which? and members of the public can recommend good suppliers of goods/services. You might find a recommended non-chain supplier in your area?

http://local.which.co.uk/

http://www.which.co.uk/

Hope this helps?

Before you throw out your old, dead hard drives, dismantle them and recover the magnets inside.

Some of the most powerful magnets known to man are inside.

A couple of cute little motors too, but they don't like to come out easily.

I am looking for spring loaded push lock fasteners that are used to secure heatsinks and coolers to video cards, chipsets, etc. I am familiar with the following items, but I prefer straight spring loaded pins without the bow.

I am familiar with everything located here;

http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata..._in_description=1&keyword=push+lock+fasteners

and here;

http://www.xsfans.com/4pack-ziotek-...6.html?zenid=e601f24968cc7718e8d18c314b77cc3a

I know I can secure the coolers with thermal adhesive so you don't have to recommend that since I have plenty of thermal adhesive.

If you happen to be familiar with a company that stocks the pins without a bow, if you would post a link to the website it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Not sure if this belongs here.

I've looked around in old boxes and stuff (cardboard) of my dad's and have noticed a whole lot of old parts laying around.

Instead of letting them just sit there getting outdated I want to do something with them, make something. Whatever but have had no ideas.

SO what do you people do with old parts?

A:What to do with old parts?

If they're usuable like CD-ROMs, floppy drives, hard drives - recycle them in new builds. Even older, lower capacity hard drives can be used as external drives with a USB to IDE adapter.

If not, sell 'em on ebay. That's what I do.
I used to run a computer salvage business years ago.
When I retire from the military in the next few years, I might get back into it.

At the moment it sounds like im sitting beside a colony of bees and a few 1200 rpm cars. Im seeking to reduce the noise definetly, but what parts cause the most noise?

3.0ghz Intel P4
ATi AIW 9800pro
p4p800-e mobo
Not sure there are other fans, dont wanna check, last time i opened case i made quiet a few problems....

I know my processor has a loud fan and my vid card is ok i guess. Can you swap fans/heatsinks? Also, my case is pretty generic would getting a different case (like antec) make it quiter? When i play music or games my volume dethrones the annoying droning, but when im just browsing the web i can here oh so clearly.

PSU, Mobo and Case must be ATX

Type of RAM module must be supported by mobo

FSB of RAM and CPU shouldn't be higher than mobo's FSB

CPU socket type must match that of the motherboard...

graphics card you want must also be able to be used on the motherboard (PCI-E or AGP, etc)

mobo and PSU have same number of pins (for mobo power socket)

Is this all right, or am I missing something else? Thanks!

So, decided I should do a little outside the case upgrading. Problem is, since most of my expertise is on case hardware, I have no clue whats good, or where to buy said items im looking for, so hoping someone can help me out.

Parts I'm looking for is new speakers, new mouse/keyboard, and a webcam. I'm looking for something good, reliable and does the job, some fancy perks would be nice, but nothing wallet breaking. I don't wanna spend $1000 on them, but preferably less then say ooh $300-$400 max, any less and it be better.. The ones I have now, are your basic Walmart bottom barrel ones, they work, but my mouse is already going out and my speakers sound like they're on the way out as well. So any advice, on what kind, where to buy online, so on and so forth would be greatly appreciated.

A:Looking for new parts

Are you looking to upgrade to gaming equipment ( speakers, keyboard and mouse ) ?? if so then I'd recommend not to be so cheap as it will pay off in the long run.

Hi Everybody,
Ok I was thinking about buliding a low-end computer just for Internet use for my father. I already have a mointer, keyboard, mouse, speakers, cd-rw drive, 250w p/s. I dont want a floppy drive in it. And the motherboard doesnt have to have intergrated ethernet becuase I also have an pci ethernet card. I dont want a dial-up modem in it either.

So basicly what recommendation for a case, motherboard and cpu. Also the motherboard has to have intergrated sound and video. I am guessing a celeron cpu? Also what ram should I get in terms of how many mb or gb's. Is 256mb of ram enough?

Thank you very much techspot members

A:Do I have the right parts?

The power-on-but-no-post symptom could be remedied by powering the barebone up outside of the case. It could be a shorting somewhere.

Updating the BIOS of your new board may correct the wrong CPU read-out.

Sent my IBuypower PC in when it wouldn't boot. They told me the motherboard, video card and liquid cooling system all dead. Around $500 just for parts. Machine cost $1200 and is 2 years 8 months old.

2 issues is smarter to a whole new machine or rebuild with oem parts. Their service was horrible so I'll have to do the rebuild.

Also can I place the hard drives from this machine into an external case and still run the programs and access the data.

I'm a professional photographer and deal with lots of 30-50 mg files at a time.

I have a problem with a Winbook V410, no display on the screen, just the backlight is working. I can control the brightness from the keyboard. Plug into external monitor, I can use the laptop, allthe information shows up.
I was told that it might be the LCD inverter or the screen itself. I've looked online for both of those parts and can't locate any sites that carry those parts. Would anybody know where I can get those parts.

It seems unless you are in the trade getting spare laptop parts is impossible (unless contacting the maker and paying a fortune)

All those parts look good and compatible to me. I can't really advise you on a PSU though.

Edit: Go to http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/ and it will tell you the minimum wattage for the system. Then go to new-egg and get a good PSU of that wattage (preferably a bit higher).

Edit2: It says 300 watts but I would get a 350 or 400 to be safe.

Hi Drew,
STOP 0x101 is CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT which indicates your processor (CPU) in fault. Run Prime95 for CPU errors: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...t-prime95.html
Run Blend, Small, Large FFTs Tests

Download, Install and Run Speedfan to monitor your CPU temperatures: SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
If you got anymore dumps - upload them too.

A:Are these parts compatible

Motherboard = backbone of system. Everything revolves around this. SO...

CPU = check (Opteron matches socket 939 and series 100 req)
OS (Operating System) = check (64-bit edition matches CPU)
VidCards = Unknown
OD1 (Optical Drive) = check (recommendation: check for SATA capable drive)
OD2 = check (recommendation: check for SATA capable drive)
Case = check
PSU = questionable. Check a different manufacturer. Make sure +12V rails have high amps (at least 22; more is better). Wattage is about right. Check out Corsair, Enermax, or Antec
Monitor = check (but some recommend at least a 20" to 22" screen with a native res of 1440 x 900 (which it has) and a response time of less than 3ms)
Memory = check (but I prefer Kingston or Corsair)

Now...are we forgetting anything?

I am using window 7 Professional 64 bit edition. I put this new system together and have been getting a few different BSODs ever since putting it together. Here are the specs:

Corsair 750 watt power supply
XFX Radeon HD 5770
AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition
MSI 870A-G54 Motherboard
Corsair XMS 4GB DDR3

I attached the dump files but I get getting BSODs for random things, sometimes its in the middle of a game, other times it's simply when I'm browsing the internet. I have already reinstalled windows multiple times as well as RMA'd my video card and processor. I ran memtestx86 for a few nights and there were no errors. Since I just reinstalled windows, all the drivers I do believe are up to date and there are almost no other programs installed. Please let me know if I left any information out. Thanks!

A:BSODs, Have already RMA'd a few parts.

Hi,
Your dumps have error code:
- 0x50 = that invalid system memory (could be RAM or driver)
- 0xF4 = system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.

You have memory corruption issue so perform memory test for at least 7 passes.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Uninstall Alcohol/Daemon and remove its driver with Sptdinst.
You could re install that software later after your system stable.

The worse thing is your performance report indicated: CPU, Graphic, Disk, and Memory are in the poor performance.
Maybe there is something wrong with your motherboard.

Big no to ECS motherboards, if you're going to use one, go ahead and buy a Dell or something. If you're reasonable, get this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128379
Same goes for the Case+PSU thingy. Get a quality PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139008 and one of these cases: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144217 (least recommended, still, okay) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146025

ok so i'm planning on building my first pc and i looked around newegg and this is what i managed to get

motherboard
processor
heat sink
ram * 2
case
video/graphics card
power supply
hard drive
cd drive
monitor
speakers
os windows 7 64-bit

yeah im kinda of in a budget (I'm kind of new on building and i have an extra $200 left for upgrades / or to buy more components-e.g a case fan, sound card.

A:Are these parts compatible?

If I were you I would wait for AMD's bulldozer series. Your motherboard supports it and you will have better performance.

If you want to save about 100 bucks then I would recommend the 6950 instead. It is cheaper and if you want to invest more in the 6950, then buy the toxic version from sapphire and overclock you will reach the 6970. You can also unlock it into a 6970. I heard it unlocks pretty well. And it also is the top 6950 on the market.

I would choose a different PSU. I would get a Corsair GS800 or if you want to invest more then a Corsair HX850 (modular). Mind you, the PSU is a little bit bigger than the normal ATX.

I would go for a different monitor. A 1920x 1080 or higher would make better use of your components, unless you will get 2 more via eyefinity.

That's all I can see so far.

are the memory sticks from a cq56 and cq 62 compatible and also are the hard drives and fan compatible

A:compatible parts

hard drives yes definitely but that does not mean you can pull a hard drive from one and just put in another and boot...I just mean they use the same form factor. To say anything else about compatibility we would need to know the full model number of the 2 units...some are AMD some Intel so at a minimum that would be a barrier to interoperability of the fan units.

Can I take a Hard Drive and RAM from one computer and put it into another and how do I use both HHD one is 98 and the other is XP.On the 98 HHD I can't get online but can with the XP

Also in the computer with XP (thats the one I am wanting to put parts into) there are 3 slots for the memory how can i tell which sticks have more RAM So I can install more RAM

A:Take parts from one computer and put into another

You can install the ram ONLY if it is the correct type ie ddr1, ddr2, etc.

Next you can connect a drive to a working system and copy data files. If you think you will be able to boot the system from the drive you add, almost all of the time that will fail.

Hey all,

I have someone who is gonna let me try to replace their iPad 3G LCD. huh huh, *NERD SNORT*

It was dropped.

Im pretty savvy when it comes to electronics. I have replaced the screens in laptops dozens of times.

What I need is a decent reliable place to buy the part. I can find tons of teardown guides to read up on.

Does anyone know a trustworthy place to buy an official part? Other than apple?

A:iPad parts

Apple product parts aren't interchangeable commodities. At best you could buy a non-working iPad with a perfect screen. You realize these things can't be pried apart with a screwdriver, right? They're designed to be repaired by Apple.

A:building a pc i have parts what else do i need??

Personally and experience I would not use that board at all I would go with Asus.MSI DFI or even Chaintech Do a search on newegg for a board .The board you picked is real cheap and you get what you pay for remember the motherboard should be as good as the cpu you place in there and a good motherboard will last a lot longer and give you better overall proformance .ALso go with a good brand name power supply like Thermotake OCZ Antech to name a few jsut becuse the powersupply says 550w dont mean it is this all has to do with effiecenty.. As for your ram any brand Kingston ,Cosiar OCZ Geial all very good brands.

Welp, i've been saving up for a few years and i'm now ready to build my new super computer! Wanted to make sure all the parts were compatible before I bought them, though. Here we go..

Motherboard: ASUS K8V SE Deluxe
Processor : AMD Athlon 64 FX-53
video card : ATI RADEON™ X800 XT Platinum Edition
Sound card : Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy 2 ZS
Hard drive : 74 GB 10k RPM SATA Enterprise Raptor
RAM : 1gb Corsair XMS TwinX1024-3200XLPRO

Feel free to comment on if there is better/faster parts than what I have listed here. Money is not really an issue here.

Thanks,

Hi Samw1s3, welcome to 7F!

Boy, are you in a pickle!

You have had at least 14BSODs in the last three days.
Two related to programs, Java, and Chrome.
Three related to outdated drivers.
And, the others Memory.

Are you sure your virus/malware clean??
This going to take some doin' on your part.
What I would like you to do is to unequivocally uninstall Java, and chrome.

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.

Newegg is probably one of the best.

If you go to pricewatch.com you will see many suppliers. Check some of their feedback comments before ordering.

I just bought a new monitor to replace my old Samsung 191T LCD.

I want to pass on the 191T to my daughter, but the menu buttons on the screen don't work. I'd like to pass on a fully functional monitor. I took it apart and found that the flex ribbon cable connected to the PCB Assembly (for the panel menu buttons) was loose and one of the wires from the connection had broken off.

I essentially need that flex cable or preferably the entire flex cable and assembly.

I tried googling for LCD parts, but didn't really find anyone selling parts. In fact, several LCD repair places wouldn't sell parts. Anyone know where I can find parts besides eBay.

Everthing but the supply looks ok! I wouldn't count much on Rosewill as far as supplies. A good supply in wattage range typically runs over $90-$140 to start with. Presently newegg has a nice Corsair 650HX to consider. Newegg.com - CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-650HX 650W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Presently I'm running the Phenom II X4 965 Deneb core model seen at Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX

The first hsf that kept the temps down was simply too big and faced downward in the case. Once the memory had to be replaced the heat shield risers on the new memory stuck up and ended up lifting the side of the first Zalman model. Newegg.com - ZALMAN CNPS10X Extreme 120mm CPU Cooler with Worlds first PWM Fan Speed Controller

The all copper replacement that dropped right down inplace and faces toward the rear exhaust doesn't offer the same amount of cooling. Newegg.com - ZALMAN CNPS9900ALED 120mm 2 Ball Low-noise Blue LED CPU Cooler

For the hex core not the quad model you will need to look over what will work the best for that.

A:old printer parts

The cheapest thing to do is to buy a new printer. You buy a decent inkjet for under $100. It saves you the trouble of finding and replacing the part

Also, odds are pretty good that a new printer will be of better quality

Is there a way I can find computer parts online by filling in the motherboard type and the parts needed?
Mother Board: (Dell) Foxconn LS-36 REV A02
Processor Pin Type: mPGA478B
# of Ram Slots: 4
Ram Volts: 2.5V
More Ram Info...idk what they are: on the ram slots it says 92 and on the ram switches it says: 04.128
Power Volts: 12V

I need ram sticks, a processor, a power box and a fan.
Recommend the cheap and the most reliable.
Thanks,
Andrew Leslie
