Getting error messages when going on certain websites

Q: Getting error messages when going on certain websites

I use Google Chrome, but this happens when I'm on Internet Explorer also. When I arrive on certain web pages, I lose control of the mouse and this error message pops into the address bar:

For example if I search urban outfitters is anti gay:

res://C:\Windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm pops up into the address bar, Googles it and doesn't allow me on the site.

I've ran multiple anti-virus scans but none have detected anything.

Preferred Solution: Getting error messages when going on certain websites

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Greetings all and sorry in advance for the poor description of the issue, the attached picture tells the story much better than I can. I noticed that text in my yahoo mail messages is getting turned into links automatically. This appears to be happening in both Chrome and Firefox.

1) Is this a Yahoo or a PC (some kind of background app) driven thing and does anybody know what settings to change to prevent this?

2) Can I also disable this from happening in websites or is that just a function of the website itself? I'm referring to the way little information/advertising boxes pop up all the time on words in websites.

Thanks!

A:Unwanted links in e-mail messages and websites

From the picuture you are talking about craigs lists.
Craigs list has word that you click on and it gives additional information. It is normal and you cannnot change that.

Possibly the same thing is happening in mail that you receive. If the mail is from an unknown person, I would not click on anything, nor would I open the mail

A:Word doc-error messages: locked, winword error, source file

SOUNDS LIKE (tho I'm not sure), that Word didn't exit properly at least that one time. Next time it happens, and you believe Word to be closed, hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and see if "winword" is still in the task list. If so, click on it and hit End Task. Then delete your file.

If your programs aren't "really" closing down, you may just need to clean up your hard drive. Follow the instructions at:

A:safe mode and startup error and error messages

Have you tried going into set-up and resetting all controls to "default setting"?

You're computer is most likely going into default mode because there is something else wrong with it.

You most likely haven't ruined it........jus need to take this one step at a time

What were the first error messages you were getting?

What happened the first time your computer started in safe mode all by itself?

Number one - You got a bad download on the shockwave flash - delete it and re-download it.

Number two - Re-download Firefox you also might have gotten a bum download - un-install the old one and install the new one.

I am not able to qualified to comment on your Hijack This log but you may want to look for any unknown/unused programs that may be associated with any of the above errors via msconfig and uncheck them from starting when you start windows. It could be a program that you no longer have installed is trying to run when you start Windows.

Re-installing the application may fix this problem."-message. The second error message is: "Rundll"-title "error loading srclient.dll. The specified module could not be found." So my question is, how do I fix these error messages? Can I download the missing files from somewhere? Is this problem virus related? Thanks for any help.

I am having a problem when I start my computer. The first error message I get is Application error Inicio.exc failed to initialize properly (Ox000142).

The second one is APVXDWIN.exe failed to start because pavall.dll was not found Re-installing the application may fix this proble. I am running Windows XP.
It doesn't seem to affect using my computer, but it is really annoying. Can anyone tell me how to fix these two things? Thank you...Wrenie

Those files are associated with your panda AV software. Perhaps a remove and reinstall would cure it.

I've run into this problem at work, as well. When I log on to my ISP and my start page comes up, I often get a Runtime Error message when I try to click onto the address line to enter a URL. I can't do anything with the page after that.
I also notice not all my favorites are in the list, either. I use People PC as an ISP.
The message is generally "Runtime Error. Line ** object expected. Do you want to DeBug? Yes or No?". Whether I click yes or no doesn't seem to matter. Nothing happens. I have to open a new internet window to start moving around. I did call our IS person at work when I ran into the same thing and she had no clue. She didn't seem to be concerned about it, though.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When closing down the PC, I get the following error message. I have to click OK about 5 times before it goes away. Is it of any significance?

Also, I get a box which is called Windows Forms Parking Window which I have to deal with.

Thanks

Hi.. I have been getting these error messages when I boot up
I was wonderingi if you could assist me in removing these from my machine.

Windows cannot open this file:
FILE: TFTP1956
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online and look it up or you can manually select from a list.... something like that.

There is the same message with a different number, it's TFTP432.
I hope to hear from you soon.

Sounds like spyware files.

Download Spybot S&D, Lavasoft Ad-Aware and CWShredder. These programs will remove any spyware that was added to your machine. Make sure that you update the programs before scanning (They all have an update button in the program.)

Reboot and then download HighJackThis. Scan for errors and SAVE the log. (Do not fix anything yet.) When you save it the log will appear in another window. Copy and paste the log here so we can weed out the rest of the nasties.

The error messages (IExplore=Internet Explorer) are pointing to the presence of some spy and malware installations (wsem.dll and ISTBar.dll)

We need to see a Scanlog for analysis, follow the instructions here to post one:

next time it happens. click SEND. this sends an error report to Microsoft. If a fix is available. It will show you. Then post back and let us know what happens. If that fixes the problem, fine. If not, we will have to work on it.

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

In response to helpful suggestions I carried out the following,
I enabled 'script de-bugging' and disabled 'display notification about every script error' and re-booted but the message still appears.
I am told that only the Webmaster can do anything about this, how do I contact him?

Again, thanks for previous help.

Tom
If I read your post correctly
by enabling script debugging it will alert you to all script errors it comes across.
Make sure you have a check in Disable script debugging and make sure there is not a check in the notification box.
Click apply and restart.
Also to ultimately fix the error from the webpage you are viewing is the responsibility of the webmaster.

I would find it interesting to see how many error messages show up in your event viewer, on average, each day.

I can get a lot when I am installing/configuring new hardware or software, and most of my error messages get generated on each start-up. On average when things are running reasonably well I still get 10 or 12 a day. Most (all?) of these don't seem to cause any problems for me.

In any event - how many do you get?

Everytime I log off my computer (Win XP) I receive tons of error messages:

I don't know what to do about it. My computer will not allow me to do periodic updates. Everytime I try to do it, it initializes and then says I need to install the Disc???? I have no idea where the XP disc is at this point. Is there anyway of getting around that? I have tried going to Microsoft's website, but I run into the same thing.

I do Disc Defrags and run AdAware for bugs, but that hasn't helped.

Process name: Symantec Common Client User Session

Product: Norton Antivirus

Company: Symantec

File: ccapp.exe

Security Rating:

"ccapp.exe" belongs to Norton Antivirus, runs auto-protect and email checking facilities.

If the computer is asking you for a Windows XP disk I would check with the manufacturer of the computer to purchase a set of recovery disks, or if it is not a name brand purchase a new Windows XP of what ever version it is.

I would also un-install and then re-install Norton that you have on your system if you are using it. If you are not using Norton I would just uninstall it.

A:Error messages, please help.

if you are connecting it with USB port then try connecting with another USB port on your dell. else you can also check by connecting your camera on a different PC and see if its giving the same error. if not you might be having a hardware issue.

Someone please help me...I have a Dell Dimension 4500 Series
I keep getting application error messages. Such as rundll16.exe,
explorer.exe, and numerous others. When I'm online I have a hard time searching because I always end up on Internet Optimizer and at times the pages just disappear and send me right back to my desktop. Two days after my warranty expired on it the CD/DVD drive quit working and Dell said it had gone bad, and wanted to sell me a new one. Shouldn't it last more than a year? What does this mean
The device, \Device\CdRomO, has a bad block. I am using the Windows XP home edition. This is my first post, so please help, with great detail. I don't know how to send a Hijack list...help
Thanks

C:\Windows\System32\diskcopy32.dll is either not designated to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support

Reading through similar problems posted by others it seemed like it might be relative information that very recently a hotmail e-mail account that I have had for a very long time was blocked by the system administrators. It was sending junk mail to a bunch of recipients that I don't know and in turn was getting postmaster delivery failure notices in the inbox for all of them.

Hello and welcome.

Before we start working with your log, you are running Hijack This from a temporary location. This needs to have its own folder. Please download HijackThis Self-installer
This is a complete installer that installs HijackThis on the computer to C:\Program Files\HijackThis.

Please download the Killbox.

Run Killbox, left click and drag you mouse over the highlighted files below (including filepath) then right click and choose Copy (including filepath) with your mouse, rightclick and choose Copy. Insert your mouse pointer within the box entitled "Full Filepath of File to Delete", rightclick again and choose File > Paste from Clipboard. All the files should now appear in the box (click on the Tab and check to make sure that only the files I have identified as malware and marked for deletion are there). If each file exists, it will appear in blue under that window when you click on it. Click on Delete on Reboot. Next click on > "Delete on Reboot" and click on "All Files". Please do this even if this option is already checked. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, click "Yes". Process and Reboot now?" Click "Yes" to reboot

C:\WINDOWS\System32\vxdmgr32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\dllreg.exe

Have "Hijack This" fix all the following items in the list below by placing a check in the appropriate boxes.Confirm that you have only the listed ones checked, then press <Fix checked> and Close HJT.

Hi, I really really need your help. I bought a laptop about 2 months ago which is toshiba a110 and it has been working fine up until now. However, I tunred it on yesterday and a ridiculous amount of error messages keep coming up on the screen. They always say the same thing which is "C:\Windows\System32\COMMDLG32.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support." However at the top of the message there is always a different saying such as "Itunes helper" and then it says bad image.
The error message that repeatedly keeps coming up at the top of the box is always this "mskagent.exe"
I really hope you can help me asap because its so frustrating!!
Thanks

Hi all, I am running Windows 7 and I.E. 8 and Chrome and have tried Firefox too and have the same problem.

Everytime I type, click a link, navigate to a new webpage etc I get the error 404 message. The irony of this is that a simple refresh on the page once the error 404 message has appeared then lets the page load as normal.

I cannot for the life of me think what is causing this, our network runs through a router with my PC and my sisters wireless laptop the only two connected devices.

Any ideas or help would be much appreciated, this is happening in all 3 browsers mentioned above.

Many Thanks

I'm sure this isn't the correct place to ask this question, but I couldn't find any forum that related specifically to AIM problems and the AIM website itself was no help.

I've been having some spyware problems on my computer, and now all of a sudden my AIM has problems as well. I don't know if they're related. I can sign onto AIM and use all the functions, like checking buddy info, making away messages, and changing my profile. However, when I double click on a screen name to IM someone, I get an error message that says that AIM has encountered something and needs to close. This also happens whenever anyone IMs me. It's driving me crazy! Any help you could give me would be much appreciated. Thank you :)

A:Would Like to Know About These Error Messages, please and thank you.

How often does this error message appear? It sounds like there may be a corrupt file in the internet explorer program.

If this is a common problem you would probably need to Repair Internet Explorer

Error loading C:\WINDOWS\bsx5.dll

Error loading C:\WINDOWS\bs3.dll

how do i fix the problem??

A:error messages

Thats causes by adware.

Please do the following:

In IE go to Tools -> Internet Options -> and delete Files and Cookies.

To check for and remove any Spyware or Adware that may be installed on your machine download, update, run, and fix ALL problems found by either of the above mentioned programs. You may need to reboot and have the scan run at startup. Run it again to make sure all components have been removed.

Ad-aware and Spybot:
http://spywareinfo.com/downloads.php?cat=sp#det

To check for a virus please visit one of the following sites for a free online virus scan. Even if you a virus scanner installed, this one gives you a second opinion, and it will be up-to-date which yours might not be.

Symantec:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com

Trend Micro:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
If you have Kazaa, it has to go. Use Kazaa Begone to remove it and replace with Kazaa Lite. Kazaa is full of Spyware, Kazaa Lite is not. Both of these spread viruses.

Kazaa Begone:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.html

Kazaa Lite:
http://www.kazaalite.tk
Then post a Hijack This Log to have someone analysis it for further cleaning/recommendations.

Hi

Coupla weeks ago I got a virus on my computer. My antivirus software found it in a scan, but couldn't remove the files for me. On the advice of my antivirus company (Bullguard), I manually deleted the files (from windows/system32).

The virus is gone, but every time I log on to my computer, I get three RunDll error messages, saying "the specified module cannot be loaded" (or something like that). I get one message for each file I deleted.

Is there any way to get rid of these messages? It seems that some remnant of the virus is calling for the files to be opened, but then finding the files are absent. Or something.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

Are you having internet issues as well? It sounds like they are failing when trying to connect to the internet/their respective servers.

Also, try disabling your firewall.

Hi Guys,

I'm a bit stumped, being to trying to find a solution on the net to no arrival. None of the inbuilt windows fixers have been very helpful.

Error messages when updating are;
- 80070570
- 570
- 80070130

Frustrating as this computer is only 2 weeks old.

A:three error messages

What updates are giving you the error numbers?

They will have KB######.
Need each KB number for each error.

Hi,

I am only on aol for about 5mins when this error message appears. I have to close down aol as it cannot be moved.

Aol America online 9.0.
Please Verify.

It asks for my p/word and screen name which of course I don't give.

I am on aol 8.0 and windows XP.

I have restored the system twice which gets rid of it for about a week and then back it comes.

Any ideas anyone.

Please e-mail me at [email protected] as I may not be able to access the answers in this before I'm closed down.

Many thanks.

My
I just installed Windows XP Home on a desktop ( emachines 566i2 )that had been running Windows ME and now I've got only an error message which reads:

Logon User Interface DLL RtlGina2.dll failed to load. Contact system administrator to replace DLL or repair original.

Then it has a restart button. I've restarted several times but keep getting the same thing and can't do anything else. How can I address this?

See this site:

http://www.windowsreinstall.com/

The site refers to a reinstall as a "Repair" (but see No. 3 below):

I would point out two things about a reinstallation:

1. Contrary to many concerns, a Reinstall DOES NOT change your computer except for replacing files with the original Windows installation files--your desktop and menus and Documents and Settings all stay the same. This may or may not have an effect on some installed programs--I have reinstalled many many times and it seems with XP, I've never had any problem

2. Reinstall is often an easy way to fix a nagging problem that there seems to be no solution to--you can do it easily in about a half hour with a minimum of effort as long as you have your original CD and product code AND you have bootable CD drive which most are--you can test it easily by changing the boot order to the CD and inserting your Windows CD to see if it starts booting. You can then just CTRL-ALT-DEL while its loading setup files and change the boot order back--Windows doesn't change anything until you go through few commands to tell it too. That's not to say that you should use this right away--a reinstall is the option to use when you've exhausted efforts to fix the specific problem.

3. DO NOT use the "Repair windows Through the Recovery Console" option--follow the instructions for your OS in the above link.

4. Here are quick Links to XP Reinstall Guides for all Service Packs:

Keep getting error 403 messages
and the word java at the bottom,

If anyone can help me please.

A:Keep getting error 403 messages

Are you getting the error message in your web browser or is it coming up in some other program? Is thre anything else besides the word "java" in the message?

If you are getting the 403 error message using a web browser, it means that you do not have permission to access the particular contents of a given web server.

If that is norton...I uninstalled it!

Thanks

Hi and welcome

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

I decided to take a look at my event viewer for various reasons and I see ALOT of these kinds of errors:

For example : "Performance power management features on processor 1 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware."

Would this have anything to do with my bios? It says my Bios Version Date is 4/17/09.

What do i do if i keep getting these error messages?

A:Help with error messages, please.

Might check the motherboard manufacturers website for a bois uodate.
Be very careful flashing the bios.
Loss of power can make it unusable.
Make sure acpi is enabled in the bios if the setting is available.
If your amd processor is dual core, there is a dual core driver
available at the amd website for xp.

Here is the Microsoft answer for "PromulGate Universal";
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811270

Make sure you create a backup of your Registry before editing it.

See if that gets rid of both errors.
