Q: Works 7.0 Database Date Function in filter?

I'm wondering whether I can filter by date.

My case: I want to make a database filter that only shows coupons that haven't expired yet and also haven't been used yet. I can deal with the used part, but I need a formula type thing that lets me only show coupons whose expiration dates > today's date.

Is this possible? Or would I need access?

On the windows search function, there is an option to search for the modified date. Is there a way to search for creation date like windows 98 had?

A:Works 7.0 Database report current date

"&d" or "&n" (no quotes) in the Header or Footer. Prefix with "&l" or "&r" if you don't want it centred.

I need to add an autofilter for expiration dates in the next 7 days:I have the basic part but don't know how to program the criteria to check if date expires in the next 7 days. I have used XL to create a database of events. The first column is dates, and is formatted accordingly. I want to filter the list so that it does not show records having a date earlier than today's date (whatever that may be).

Could some kind person tell me how to achieve this ?

Hi,

I have a form with a listbox on it which displays all the data in one of my tables. I also have a combo box which displays a list of dates (short date) from the table.

I'm trying to query the table based the combobox to get all the records that came after that date.

However, at the moment, when i enter a date, and the list is requeried, the data is not correct.

For example, there is data for everyday (from 12/10/2010 to 26/10/2010) so if i select 12/10/2010 from the combo box, id expect to see records from 13/10 to 26/10.

what i actually get is some records starting at 24/10.

If i change the query so that it looks for records before the selected date, nothing is returned.
Any suggestions as to whats going on?

Hello,

I'm working with MS Access and I have created a button on a report with an on-click event procedure that brings up the built-in pop-up sort function. I would like an option where users can enter various different word into a range (say 15 cells, though they may only use only one or a few of them) These words will then be search for in 2 columns of text. I would also like that the "raw" data would be filtered when the search is completed to only show content that had the searched words.I have found conditional formatting that allows me to search for one word, and a marco to filter on the searched content. However I can not seem to find a way to search for multiple words/phrases at the same time. Again bearing in mind that 1 user may only have 1 word to search for, another may have 5 and another 10.I am using Excel 2010message edited by Elderine

I have an access report that I would like users to be able to enter a start and end date. The report will be filtered to display data that falls between the two dates.

I have already created a form with date fields. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to use the form to filter the report. I also would like the report to display all data if teh user decides not to enter any dates.

How can this be done?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
 

A:Solved: Access 2007/Filter Report By Date Range

There are many ways to do it, but I would set the filter in the OpenReport method when the report is launched, and provide logic to either set the start and end dates to extreme values (like 1/1/1904 thru 1/1/2999), which programming purists would tell you to never do, or not set the filter at all if the user doesn't enter a date.

In the code for the button that launches the report:

dtStart = Nz(Me.StartDate,#1/1/1904#)
dtEnd = Nz(Me.EndDate,#1/1/2999#)
DoCmd.OpenReport "Report1", acViewReport, "", "[MyDate]>=#" & dtStart & "# And [MyDate]<= #" _

Hello all,

I have a my employees monthly tracking report in excel worksheet and I have to do some advance filter on each date (1 to 31 except Sundays). I am doing these steps manullay:-

1) Do Advance filter (I’ve done some VBA work). For example I filter data by date 1st, so that my code filter data by date one and remove duplicates from column “f” as well.

2) Copy the filtered data.

3) Paste it on a new sheet.

I want to do this Via VBA.. or any suitable way.. please help… I am attaching my sheet as well from which you can understand my code and update it according to my need..

I am using Office 2007. I want to use a formula to auto calc data from other fields.

I have a sheet with results from races. The sheet has the following fields:
Finished
Grade
Track
Dist
Time

I am looking for a formula or function that will select the "1st" from the finished field, filter the grade to select a single grade (eg 4th), select a single track, select a single distance and then return the average of all the winning times that meet those other criteria.

Is there an excel function that will do this and if so could someone help me with an example of the formula to be used...........many thanks

I am creating a couple of access forms/databases for a client of mine and my issue is this:
On one of the forms my client needs to put in sale amount, license fees, delivery fees, taxes, minus any downpayment for car sales. I have the form and the database done except for the math function to do the computations. Is there any way to do this in access 03?

Hi all. I'm new in here. I am currently working on access97, and am having hard time trying to have Access97 automatically add current date/time to database, that way the operator wouldn't have to add date every time. How can I do this simple trick? I've searched in Access97's help assistant and that paperclip didn't meet my specific need. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi,

My AVG Free Edition 7.1.362.267.12.7/155 11/01/2005 10:30:00 PM says my internal virus database is out of date and it's been like that for about a week. I've upated my AVG and it is set to update daily anyways. I have even tried uninstalling AVG and re-installing it but it still happens. Is my computer protected? Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Is there a way to automatically enter today's date in a cell on an excel spreadsheet using a formula and then to have that date not change? For instance, I want to have the date something is assigned to enter automatically but then to remain the same and not change depending on the day.

Stole this from Paddy,

1) Hit alt + F11 to get to the vb editor
2) go insert | module
3) paste in the following:

Function DateAndTime()
DateAndTime = Now
End Function

4) use it in a formula of the sort:

=if(a1<>"",dateandtime(),"")

which will produce a date & time stamp that records when a1 recieves a value.

Ok, here is the deal, I am looking to set up a table somewhere, that when a monday rolls around, the formula/macro copies and pastes mondays date to a cell and clears contents on others. I know how to make a simple macro that does this, but it would require me to hit it. is there a way to automate the macro to trigger on mondays when opened???

I have a spreadsheet with a date field - I need to copy parts of the sheet to another worksheet. When I copy the dates they are inexplicably changed - Formatting has been meticulously checked. The most common change is that the month remains the same, the date is one day less than the original, and year is four years earlier. So 01/18/06 becomes 01/17/02 - happens in every date format. Over and over. Also, in the pick from list option for cell, there is a choice 2- 14. I don't know what this means or why it's there. Are these two worksheets from different systems?
Sounds strange but in excel click Tools>Options>Calculations tab.
Under "work options' you'll see a "1904" date system.
If the sheet you're copying from and the sheet you're pasting to were built using the two different calander settings, that is your 1462 day difference.
Typicly the 1904 date system is used with a mac but it can also happen on windows systems if the systems that made the two sheets used different calander dating. Did I explain that clearly enough?
Rather then using paste, try paste special using one of the options that will popup instead.

I was wondering if the date function for Javascript returns the date based on the client computer. If it does what if the client's computer has a wrong date set. Thanks.

JavaScript is clientside itself, therefor if the visitor has their date set wrong it will appear wrong on the webpage. Alternatively you could use server side scripting, but that will read the time from the server which will be incorrect for people in different time zones. Hope that clears something up

I am developing a simple spreadsheet in Excel, where I have two columns, one with certain dates and the opposite column with values relating to the dates.

As the values are already filled in, I don't want them to appear on the spreadsheet until the date arrives.

Copy the data and paste in into a separate worksheet in the same spreasheet (Insert-Worksheet)
Then delete the data from the main spreadsheet.

Use a simple formula in the position where you want the data to appear, to only show the data if the date field is > 0

If the date is in A1 in sheet1, the data in A1 in sheet2 and the displayed data in A2 in sheet1 the the formula in sheet1 A2 is:

=IF(A1>0,Sheet2!A1,"")

I am working on a database for our Ambulance Company. One of the fields I am having trouble with is writing a formula to calculate response times when time enters another day.

Example, we use military time therefrore, 23:59:00 would be 11:59 pm. If we run the call till 00:10:00 ( 12:10 AM) the formula I have written ( = Arrival Time - Responding Time) gives me an invalid time because it doesn't recoginize I have gone past the current day into the next day.

Please help me figure out how to formulate this field.

Can anyone tell me how to set the print area in "Database"? I want to print a form which shows lots of names down the first column, and then has a blank "Signature " column next to it, but with horizontal gridlines to take their signatures.

When I look on "Print Preview" it only shows the "Names" column, and I can't get it to print a column next to it. If I remember corectly, there is a facility in Excel for this, but I can't find it in the Database application.

Any help would be appreciated.

don't have works anymore (like a looong time ago) but since it's an Office-Lite product hopefully there's some similarities

maybe try the help feature for:
mail merge
labels
etc

in the database and word processing software (it's likely the same help file, so it may not matter)

First time try. MS 98, Works database, MS Word file with a zillion names,addresses,ph#s,ect. I copy a name in Word, try to paste into a cell in d/b, I get "<picture>" in the cell, not the info I copied. Ive read the help files in Works, the archives in here. Hi, i am trying to figure out a starting date based on a 360 day year, or 30 day months. I have the following information: End date, and the number of days that I need to go back to calculate the start date. For example: End Date = 9/14/08; Number of days to go back = 180. So the start date that i am looking to return is 3/14/08 (not 3/18/08), which can be verified using the =Days360() function. thank you in advance!

Hey guys and gals!

Here's the scenario. I am currently designing a database to track equipment inspections along with the dates the inspections are performed.

I want to create a query to look at the inspection dates entered for equipment, and then list the records if the last inspection date entered, is older than 6 months.

Right now, I'm using

<Date()-180

which lists all the inspection dates for each equipment if the dates are older than 6 months.

Excel 2007 - I have a date in a cell like this 20091125. It is text, it's a date but without the dashes or slashes to separate the year, month, day.
How do I convert it to 2009-11-25 date? Is there a function that reads it without the dashes yet recognizes it as a date?

Another better option in my opinion is to designate an unused cell on the sheet to hold the date that the code will use. When the macro is run it would read from that cell to determine the date to use when updating the links.

When I try to format a Feils, the program crashes. Downloaded KB933828, but it won't load. PaintShop Pro says it isn't a "valid MSP file".

Someone suggested that Works 9 works better on a Vista Home Premium machine.

Is that true?

I have that version, there's doesn't seem to be that option. As an alternative, try selecting the records and applying left -- right -- top -- bottom borders (via Format -- Border).

EDIT: my mistake ; File -- Page Setup -- Other Options.

By "custom form", do you mean an input form, like Access? Don't know, will look it up.

For some obscure reason I cannot open some (not all) of my works db files.

I have downloaded the patch (KB933828), which is supposed to fix it but although it downloads ok, I can't seem to open the patch!

Can anybody help please?

when using the left scroll arrow....it gets "stuck" therefore not allowing me access to several of the fields on the left side of the document

We are trying to help out a friend here, and hoping someone can point us in the right direction.

We need to create a database, preferably a works database, because that's the program both of us have. What we need to do is collect statistics at the end of the day, and save all the results to one database. At the end of the year, we need to be able to go back in and total all occurrences of a particular statistic and combinations of certain statistics together.

I am TOTALLY GREEN in this area...can anyone help?? All suggestions are greatly appreciated....if more info is needed, please let me know!

A:Will a works database work?

Works will only "work" if it has an actual database like Access to enter your data into. You can set up one database and enter the data there directly. If you are on a network you can share the database and have forms set up for data entry. If you are in different locations you could use some kind of program like PCAnywhere and the remote person could dial in and do data entry on the database. There are way too many options so you might want to give us soem kind of idea on what your setup is and how to accomplish it.

I have been tryin to sort records in WORKS 4.5 for 4 years now and it always sorts ALL the records. I have tried the highlight trick and even put blank records where I want to stop the sort. Does not work.

Can someone tell me how to sort, say, the 15 records in the middle of my database and not affect the other?

On my dinosaur Tandy the database I had would create records just like index cards. I loved it. Any idea what I need to do? I've already tried the help and clicking everywhere.

Been using Works for years and have never had this happen before. If I make a change in the database and try to SAVE, the program just closes, no error message. I re-open and the changes obviously have reverted to original state. I have run AdAWare, Spybot, AVG is up to date and runs nightly and am clean. I reinstalled MSWorks (just over the old program) and thought it was fixed, but now it is doing it again. Very frustrating Yes, I do get the message about more than 500 fonts, but since I have XP, I have been told that this is not critical anymore. Any ideas or suggestions? ... Millie in KY

Does anyone know how many record entries (not fields) are possible in a MWDB file? I was working on an inventory list when suddenly the database would not accept any more entries. I didn't know if the was a limit. Is there any database that has no limit as to entries?

I have some Microsoft Works Database files I'd like to continue using, although MS Works has long disappeared. Does anyone know of a conversion technique/program to make these DB files usable with Microsoft Office. Seems like a step backward to not allow some kind of conversion for these files. I really liked Works DB.

I'm trying to write a function to return the last saved date from a given workbook. I understand the basic function to return this information from the active workbook, example below.

I want to create a new query based on this table with an addional column headed "nextmatdate". This field picks the next date on from the currentmonth date.

tillyw, welcome to the forum.
What you want to do is not straightforward, because Null is not later than the CurrentMonth.
So it is going to take a complicated IIf() statement as the column heading, you could try this as a heading
nextmatdate: iif([matdateband1]>[currentmonth] or isnull([matdateband1]),[matdateband1])

This is only the first part of the calculation, but it will test if the Null gives you an error of "Improper Use Of Null".
If it doesn't we can add the other parts of the calculation

If it doesn't work it might take a VBA Module to do it.

Hello, I was hoping someone could help me write a function in Excel. I have 2 columns as seen below. What I am trying to do is in a 3rd column have a function that looks at each ref number and returns the earliest date associated with each. For example, for ref. number 2 there are two date 6/22 and 6/23. I would want it to populate a new column with the earlier of the two dates. And the same for ref number 3,4,5 and so on. Hi all Have started up a new machine and upgraded from Access to and transferred our database over We have just over records in the contact table which we update daily with the current date as various repeat contacts are made The relevant field is set to Long date Every evening we have a Word file that completes a mail merge to a database query that pulls records with the current date That query obtains its data from the contacts table Or at least function the =Date() query Access in Using 2003 it used to Since the change something has gone wrong and I Using the =Date() function in Access 2003 query cannot sort out what The query will not let me use the Date function in the criteria row As a test I set up a dummy database with a simple table and a single query In the query grid I added Date in the criteria row and low and behold it worked So obviously there is a problem in the original table Now I am lost Does anyone have any pointers please BigAl nbsp

can you open your New table and check the Actual dates in the field ensuring that you expand it>
Does it have the "Time" in the field with the date, you may have to change the Date/Time format to Short or long time to see it?
Has the Date field always been "Long" date rather than Short date?
Also try in the Query in a new Column
Format([Your Date Field],"dd/mm/yyyy") and put the date() criteria in that column instead.
I have just checked it and it works whereas Long date with a time element won't.

I want to create a new database using 'MS Works' 6.0 under Windows XP Home. I follow the 'Wizard's' instructions to launch "Create new blank data-
base" but I get no 'dialog box' from which to enter my new parameters. It just
gives me the last database I was observing. The 'wizard' tells me this is where I can make settings to configur my database to my needs, but it's not there. Am I doing something wrong, or is it a software problem?

I have MS Works 5 on one computer and MS works 7 on another, but they are both very similiar in the way they work. If you launch the MS Works Task Launcher and chose Works Database and then click on Start a blank database the box will come up for you to put in Field one -then add Field two, etc. (If a box comes up offering to show you what do to, just close it.) There are some differences between v. 5 & 7 when doing a mail merge, but that was not your question.

I am working with the Microsoft Works Database program that comes with Windows XP. I am listing a number of books, their isbn's and their prices. I evidently punched a wrong button because now every time I enter a new book the price from the previous entry is automatically entered for the new book. For example, if the price for the previous book was 19.99 that is automatically entered as the price for the next book.

It's not a big problem, because I can override it by simply entering the correct price, but still it's annoying. Anyone know how I can undo this default price setting?

Hi All,

Right now my "database" is a Word merge file that I use to insert merge fields in all my word documents, it's a bit archaic and slow, plus, there is no way to integrate with Outlook 2003. I tried Act! 2005, and its slow and clunky and wont work for my needs. I want to still be able to use all of my Word documents and all of the merge fields in them as well as update the database from Outlook, send emails to a sorted list, etc. Any suggestions?

Do You Have MS Office Suite installed on your computer? If so chances you have Msaccess, and i suggest you use access for your database. If msaccess is not installed get your office suite cd out and install the software. There is a learning curve, but give it a go and post your questions with the version of access your using and chances are someone will help.

Hi, I have a large list of items in a database that are numbered using a numbering row.They are then filtered to match certain criteria.So now the number row is no longer consecutive.What I want to do is make a new number row that tells me the occurence of each record happening.For instance,if my database stats at number 3 then the next number is 7,i want to have 7 -3 to give four.Basically,I want to know the distance between each record.If I could use a formula for the whole number row that would take a record and minus it from another?Thanks JIM

How can I get my MS Works database files to be able to be transferred to another program such as Open Office or Office? The Office Database is far too complicated for me and much more powerful than I need for my own use.

I recently installed Works 6.0. I have just composed a database document containing two columns of information. But when I print it, only the first column gets printed. I'm not aware of having done anything to cause the program to print less than all of the document. I have fooled around with the Select buttons and various other buttons but to no avail.

I have completed my database. I put one column in alphabetical order, and proceed to another, the column I just alphabetized goes back the way it was. They won't all stay alphabetical. What's the deal? Help?
 

A:works suite 2003 database

This happens in Excel too, putting a column in alphabetical order is assumed to mean that you want all the rows to still contain the original values.

In Excel, you can highlight the data in the column and this sorts only that column - Then move on to the next column, etc.

If that doesn't work in Works, you may want to
sort the first column,
cut and paste the remaining columns into separate worksheets (one column, one worksheet) and
then sort them,
then copy them all back...

For anyone whose interested/had the same problem it seems that there is no such thing as a "viewer" the best option though I've yet to try it is to save the file as a .csv and open it with open office. If you just want to view the data and copy and paste what you want it can also be saved as a text file - this is all assuming you or someone has access to Ms Works, as a last resort you can open the .wdb file with notepad or wordpad though its a lot more messy to access what you want. - hope this helps.

Creating a To Do list, I would like to insert a non-volatile date as the date this task was assigned. 1/23/06 would be fine. Can I do that using a function? The easist way to enter a non-volitile date is with a quick macro:

Alt F11 to open the vBasic editor
Double click on the Workbook item in left hand window, then paste the following into the window on the right hand side:

Sub Todays_Date()
ActiveCell.Value = Now()
End Sub

Close the editor and return to Excel, then chose Tools/macro/macros... and 'Options' to give it a shortcut.

This will paste the current date (and time) into the active cell."

Then to format to 1/23/06, highlight the column, right click, format cells, category date,
type 3/14/98.

After a major crash I lost all of the Works Suite and had to reinstall it. Now the database crashes everytime I try to use it. Norton intercepts the crash and gives me this message:
OleMainThreadWndName
Everything else in the Suite works fine.
I need some help.

Working on a Database program, and misspelled name of a field -- Cmopany instead of Company -- and cannot find a way to correct this without having to cut and paste everything already in this Database to a new one!

Is there a way to correct spelling errors in a Field Name, and if so, how is it done?

Since installing Windows 10, I need to print a DVD database that I created on Microsoft Works Suite 2005. The error message I receive is "no default printer" or some such wording. The default printer IS set, and printing from any other site or app works fine. The laptop is a Lenovo, and the printer is Kodak. However, I do not see that the problem is in either of those, since it prints other things. When I look at compatibility for Windows 10, it reads that the Works 2005 is compatible. Please help, as frustration abounds. Thanks.

I was just dragged into the st century not sure I like it at all Win was near values to 9 database ms to from copy spreadsheet works trying - death so I purchased a new computer with Vista bit but that's another story I have used MSWks for years and know my way around it Having a problem with MSWks - have a bank deposit system set up using a database for deposits with reports created that print my ms works 9 - trying to copy values from database to spreadsheet deposit slips and a deposit summary With MSWks I was able to copy values from my deposit database to a spreadsheet that was designed to act like a mini calculator - copied list of checks from deposit and used formula to total then copied total and pasted it back to database In MSWks if I try to copy values from deposit DATABASE and paste to a SPREADSHEET it arrives as a graphic instead of a numeric value so my formula that forces the spreadsheet to be a mini-calculator will not work Is ms works 9 - trying to copy values from database to spreadsheet there any way to defeat the quot paste as graphic quot It was really a timesaver for me I did try to install MSWks on Vista machine and was successful But ran into a lot of problems with both programs on my computer Decided to forget about the recording function and tough it out with MSWks Thanks tbach

Hey all. My dad is having an issue with his computer that I've been unable to figure out, whether by my own means or just by searching. He is running Microsoft Works 6.0 on Windows Vista 32bit Home Edition, and is having some trouble printing from Works Database, which he uses quite a lot.

Whenever he tries to print something from Database (or go into print preview) he gets the following error:

The printer driver is missing or not valid.

Run the Windows Setup program to install the printer software again.
Naturally I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer several times, but to no avail. Also an important note: This issue ONLY happens with Works Database, and not with any other product (Microsoft or otherwise).

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated

I have been doing more research and I'm starting to think that there is just a compatibility issue. I'm still wondering if anyone knows how to make this work with Vista.

If anyone has any suggestions on a program that is an alternative to Microsoft Database, that would also be pretty helpful. It's the only program my dad uses from the Works Suite.

It could be down to how your mail accounts are set-up.
I sign-in to WLM 2012 on both my pc's with the same Microsoft account but only use my Gmail account. If I read a message on my Desktop it will not be available on my Laptop as Gmail archives messages when accessed by POP.
Do you use POP or IMAP ???

In Explorer, is there any way to do a search for files CREATED on a specific date or within a range of dates? I've found the search filter using "Date modified" but not "Data created".

The old XP "Search companion" did it, but that's no longer available in Windows 7, as far as I know.

I have a fill-able PDF created in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I set it to expire at the end of the year. However, all the end user has to do is to download the file and save it with another name and the expiration no longer works. They can use it indefinitely. Only if the user does not rename the file does the file expire correctly. I need the file to expire as this is a constantly updated/revised PDF and its important that my customers have the most current version. Is there a way to fix this either with Adobe or a third party app?

I have not been able to find any information online or from Adobe as to why this happens.

I've had this problem for years now both on an older HP laptop running XP with SP2 and now on an Acer 4670 laptop running XP & SP2 as well and it's now drivimg me mad. You can adjust the volume, of say, Media Player by holding down the function key (Fn) and pressing the up and down arrows (normally bottom right of keyboard) which will then display a green display at the bottom of the screen. Same thing happens on the Acer when you switch on either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi using the hardwired buttons on the front you get the green message saying either "Disabled" or "Enabled". But this display deactivates and reactivates itself at random (currently it's off) If I go into Sounds and Audio Devices and play around with the controls it sometimes comes back on. It's now beginning to really P*** me off. Anybody got any ideas? Thank-you, thank-you and thank-you once more. . . .

I have Windows 7 (upgraded from Vista). At first I was able to use the (Windows) Explorer search function with success. Now it is not working. But here is the strange thing: it works in some folders, but not others. Does this mean that the function is turned off somewhere for the folders where it is not working?

I am able to use Google Desktop to locate what I am looking for, but I want Windows Explorer's search function to work in any folder I need to search.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Why aren't you using Excel. Has much more functionality. I have a macro that I use for Time Stamping cells in Excel. Puts the Current Data and Time in a cell with the single click of a mouse.

Hello This is my first thread here
I was wondering if anybody could please help me, I have a lot of photographs stored on my laptop...which is running Windows 7....and I'm trying to sort them into folders (I have a LOT of photographs). I'm still only learning how funky Windows 7 is but have now come across some problem. When-ever I ask Windows to group by date (even group by date modified...etc) it doesn't actually show the date at the top of each group.

Whatever version of Win I had before always put the actual date as the name of each group...it was VERY helpful.....is there any tweak or box to click (or even some sneaky hack) that would fix this so it would give the date? Ty

I have been trying to help a friend learn how to do form letters with his Microsoft Works Suite programs He has Windows XP SP We were able to successfully merge desired fields from a Works database but noticed that the format of date and time field results was not as desired The date field always merged as quot MM DD YYYY quot in the form letter no matter what format was used for date display in the database program He wanted to display for in Merging fields Suite or date Works time example quot November quot instead of quot quot Likewise the time field merged Merging date or time fields in Works Suite as quot hh mm ss AM Merging date or time fields in Works Suite PM quot when he wanted for example quot PM quot to display In Works on another computer his formatting carried over to the form letter from the database Not so in the version Our temporary fix was to format the date amp time fields in the database as quot text quot instead of quot date quot or quot time quot and then enter the exact display style wanted Then the merged value looked the same in the letter as it did in the database Is there a better solution to this problem nbsp

ms works word processor failes to create labels using label function.
before win xp sp2 lablel function worked on my ms works word processor.
after installing win xp sp2 my label function does not work. will not connect
to my outlook express 6 adress book. Need help. this is after installing
xp sp2.

Hi there,

When I turn on my computer (running Windows XP), it seems to boot up fine, but a few seconds after the desktop appears, the screen goes black for a few seconds. Then the desktop appears for 4-5 seconds, then the screen goes black. This just reapeats over & over and the computer seems frozen. There is also a little red 'X' hanging out in my toolbar, who looks especially evil. As time passes, the toolbar becomes warbled.

I rebooted my computer in Safe Mode, which works fine & have been trying to fix it from here all day. I tried following the 8 steps to rid/protect your computer from malware/viruses, but some steps can't be completed in Safe Mode.

Can you please help?

We implemented ATA beginning on 3/15/2016 with two Gateways and one Central Server.  We've discovered that a few servers that are doing LDAP simple bind, which we've resolved by enabling LDAPS.  We have a server that's waiting on the Vendor to
provide a patch, so this single server continues to alert periodically. 
In the ATA error alert, "services exposing account credentials", the "export" function appears to have stopped updating the export.   The web-view shows current events (4/1/16), but the "export to excel" stops at 3/23/2016
in repeated attempts. The similar error (& cause), "sensitive account credentials exposed", is working correctly in its exports.  The system reports "Hooray, system is health!"  Servers have been rebooted, Webpages refreshed,
services restarted, etc...  
Any ideas?

I ve tried to send a delayed email using the quot in "Do Time/Date Stamp Deliver Function using when Before" Not Outlook Do Not Deliver Before quot function Hoping the email would be date time stamped when I wanted the recipient to receive the email For example sent the email on a Tuesday and scheduled the email to be delivered the next day Wednesday at am The function did delay sending the email but the date time stamp was when I originally hit sent on Tuesday What is the purpose of this feature if the date time stamp will not indicate the date time I wanted the recipient to receive the email When using this function is there a way for the exchange to track the date time stamp of the email when it actually leaves the Outbox instead of when you click send I understand the exchange keeps track of the date time stamp of when an email is sent but why couldn t the exchange keep track of when the email leaves the outbox when using this function Time/Date Stamp when using "Do Not Deliver Before" Function in Outlook Is there any exchange setup that will make this function work the way it is supposed to Thank you nbsp

Hi, I have been having a problem on and off on my Inspiron 1520. The problem is that when Itunes updates it screws up the CD-DVD drive so it wont read a CD or DVD and I need to go into the registry and delete the filters. Unfortuantly yesterday I attempted to rectify this problems once again and when I went into the registry, there was no upper or lower filters. Microsoft has a program that detects and fixes CD/DVD drive problems and that could not fix it either. Any Help? Im running Windows Vista 32-bit

I have a WRT110 router with a Lingo voip connected via ethernet cable. I have two laptops connected via wireless where I would like to filter out a couple of websites. In the router menu I have setup an access restriction that filters by the two MAC addresses and entered the two website URLs. When I enable the access profile my voip service stops working. I have a dial tone and the service will dial out AND ring the called number (though I cannot hear the ring), but I can't talk. As well, my number can be called and it will ring, but still again no voice is heard.

Any ideas?
