I have a private domain email address that is linked to my hotmail account, so both emails to both addresses are recieved in the same inbox - but i want the private domain to be what is viewed as the 'from adress' through outlook?
when i use outlook the 'from' address is my hotmail one.
and when i use hotmail the 'from' address is from my 'private domain' on behalf of 'hotmail address'
I want the private domain set up in outlook, but cant find the options to have that, and link it to the already set up hotmail account.

I'll bet you have not heard this one before. I was attempting to send an email to a potential client. Everything seemed to work well except that it was returned. The problem was that the address was changed somewhere. His name is spelled with a j but somewhere along the line, it was changed to a k and so there was no such person and therefore was returned to me.

Intermittently, Outlook 2007 will crash while sending an email and, needless to say, the email is not sent. However I wanted to know if there is a temp or backup copy of that mail anywhere. I've looked in drafts and it's not there.
I've sometimes typed a very long email and then lost the whole email when Outlook crashes so I just wanted to know if, like Word, there is a temp file that may be created.

Windows 7/Office 2007. I just installed Office 2007 on a brand new HP Laptop running W7 64bit. When click on a URL in an email, I get the following error message, "MICROSOFT OFFICE OUTLOOK. This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator". One would not think that a fresh install of Outlook would know anything about your office exchange servers.
Is this a laptop? Has it ever been taken to your office and connected to the exchange server there?
Try uninstalling it with the tool. Then reinstall and do a custom install. Watch closely during the install and see if it prompts you to do a network install. (I have not installed Outlook 2007 for a while so I am not sure that it does)
See if you can just do a local installation

I know that 07 Word saves files in a .docx file that is not usable by the 97-03 Word and same goes for PowerPoint and Excell. My question is does this occur with Outlook 2007 also? I have a friend who said that he can't read my Outlook 2007 email to him (he uses the older version of outlook). Is there a way to change it so that I can send 2007 Outlook emails to people with the 97-03 versions?
OK... well I thought I had it covered but.... I copied the pst file from 2003 and tried to open in 2007. I recently read somewhere that you have to copy the pst when Outlook is closed. I did not close Outlook and copied the file while Outlook was open. Anyway to rescue these Emails? The old drive is toast so I can't do that. The pst file is 79mg so I suspect the info is there. Having a problem seeing all the buttons that are needed to set email account in Outlook. It seems the box needs to be maximized and the bottom and right side are cut off.

Windows 7 COMPAQ HP 64 bit and OUtlook 2007.
First thing I would check is in the advanced account settings check the SMTP server TAB and that the "my server requires me to log on) is set and the "use same settings as my mail server" is on.
Also check the port settings, if set for SSL or TLS try without or auto and vice versa
Not sure if the actual options I've given are correct wording but you should be able to see the ones I mean
It may take a few tries to get things sorted but it should be one of the above

When using IMAP emails are not necessarily deleted, they are only marked for deletion until the server purges them.
When you select delete on an email does anything happen? You should see a line marked through it to note it has been marked for deletion.

I've been having some intermittent problem with Outlook 2007 since I've had it set up when I first bought the computer (about 2 months ago). About every second day or so, I'm unable to get or send emails from 4 of my 5 email accounts. The error message I get follows:
Task 'Jonathan Jetté (RS Info) - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
The error message is the same for all four email accounts. Everything seems ok with the Internet connection (as I am currently writing in this forum!) and the webmail of each of these still work fine (although it literally takes four times more time to check them). Up until now, I've been unable to figure out the problem. If you have any idea, please advise.
I am trying to create a rule which filters emails between TO and CC for the same group.
The group name is QA_GROUP.
All emails that have QA_GROUP in CC will be deleted, and those who have QA_GROUP in TO will remain in my inbox.
Anyone has an idea how to do it?
When we try and set an attachment with an email it strips the attachment but still sends the email. We've reinstalled outlook but this didn't make a difference. We've also turned off our anti virus software and it still doesn't attach. The email message itself is send but any attached file is stripped off the email and doesn't go to the recipient or our outbox.

Does anyone know of a screen notifier that will notify me of Outlook 2007 email without me having Outlook 2007 running? I am currently using IncrediMail but would prefer Outlook except for it's notification method.
I have followed the instructions from Microsoft...removed all filtering.
Also selected all the domain names from frequent correspondent companies (our own company, husband's etc.) as "safe" and still, everything is classified as Junk.
Should this be significant:
When I indicate "Not Junk" it moves it into inbox, but will not let me open any attachments. It keeps the "protection" turned on. I have to close Outlook and get back on, before I have access.

currently I have several email addresses in my mail folders, I want to rearrange them by my own perference rather then by alphabet order. Any ideas?

I saved certain email messages in an entry in a personal folder. We want someone to pick up the firewood so I opened a contact sheet, named it "Manitoba Firewood People" and copied pertinent emails in there. I consistently get a lot of junk email (about 30 messages a day) in my inbox, and a lot of regular emails from contacts I know get put into the junk email folder. I add the email senders to the blocked list, however, still emails get through. Can someone assist with this?
I had an aol and a hotmail email account on Outlook. About two weeks ago the aol account stopped working in Outlook. When I would open the aol account there would be no update and in the bottom right of the Outlook screen, there was an indication that I wasn't connected. This would disappear as soon as I I opened the hotmail account, which was fully functional. My aol account in AOL works fine. The only problem is trying to use it in Outlook. My OS is Windows 7. I already tried deleting the aol account and then adding it as a new account, which goes through without a glitch. However, then the aol account does not appear as an option under the Mail heading in Outlook. If I go to Tools/Options/Mail Setup/Email Accounts in Outlook, the aol account appears there.

I'm writting on behalf of my mom. She tried sending an important file to someone but it was too heavy. It got stuck in the Outbox and now nothing is working anymore. She tried deleting the email in the Outbox. doesn't work, dragging it into the recycle bin, doesn't work. It's like if everything froze because of the email that was to heavy?!
I then told to to save her contacts and email she didn't want to loose by doing Export to a file in a folder and the uninstall MS Office completely and reinstall it.
After uninstalling it, rebooting, she starts MS Office Outlook 2007 and everything is back the same like before uninstalling it?!
Why is that?

I don't know how these things work in Outlookk, but if the file is too big it could also be that her provider doesn't accept her sending such large Emails.
Uninstalling and Installing does not delete the pst file so what is in it is still there.
I would tread carefully in deleting this file.

A couple of weeks ago my Outlook started freezing up after I sent an email In general the machine was acting after 2007 email an freezes Outlook sending like it had a bug Outlook 2007 freezes after sending an email or at minimum a conflict with my virus detection I was running Avast Free at the time But assuming nothing wrong there and considering the machine was overall acting sluggish I ran a MalwareBytes scan and a SpyBot scan I also did a chkdsk of my year old hard drive as well as a defrag I went into my mail and did some housekeeping storing my old email messages under separate yearly folders both Inbox and Sent items Whether these folders are Open or Closed within Outlook makes no difference Hard drive is about full I have upgraded memory to GB from GB thinking it would help overall performance of the machine it didn t appear to and had no impact on the Outlook freezing issue This week I have worked with nasdaq of Bleeping Computer to insure my machine was clean of bugs My logs are clean Outlook freezing occurs if it s the only program running or with other programs running The freezeup occurs when an email reply or new email is sent I have followed some of the Microsoft recommendations and deleted both the Word Normal template and the NormalEMail templates and allowed Outlook and Word to rebuild them That didn t work I have not rebuilt my profiles as they have not been modified in any way to cause the issue especially since the machine has been bug free for at least since Christmas I have not tried starting Outlook in Safe Mode As the Outlook freezing problem originally began to surface in late February I have installed and uninstalled Avast Avira and MS Defender As the problem seemed to start or escalate with MS Defender I removed it and have ended up back to Avast In most cases I used the removal programs for those products When Outlook freezes I have to do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete to bring up Windows Task Manager running XP Pro SP and end the task Quite often I notice CPU usage at more often a result of the searchindexer exe process being the major contributor Waiting a few seconds or minutes makes no difference to Outlook becoming usable again I have also thought about doing a Repair Install but am concerned about the loss of updates So am at wits end and looking for advice as to solving this issue Thanks in advance to anyone who can help shed light on how to resolve this problem
Does it only freeze when sending but receives mail normally?
Go to TOOLS > SEND RECEIVE > SEND RECEIVE SETTINGS > SHOW PROGRESS
Select the Errors tab.

Hello, my name is Heather. My problem is with Outlook 2007 and the junk email options. I select Actions from the main Outlook menu, then from the drop down menu I select Junk-email.....The first item on the drop down list is add sender to blocked senders list...fine and dandy except the selection (add sender to blocked senders list) has the Red circle with the line through it like the selection is unuseable. Further down the same drop down the final selection is Junk e mail options...this also has the 'red circle of "stay out" on it. It will let me get into the folder and select options but they don't stay static, they revert back to allowing everything in to my in box. How do I free these drop down selections from the do not enter red circle
I want to use Outlook as my primary email tool. WOuld prefer to not use gmail at all but my company email is set up under Google Apps. I confugured Outlook but when I launched outlook for the first time it brought over 2000+ emails into my inbox. I did this on 11/7/2012 and it brought over email from 4/10/2012-7/30/2012 and thats it. I have about 230 emails in my inbox on gmail apps, why does outlook not mirror my inbox from gmail? When i hit send/receive, it keeps adding 350+ new emails to my inbox but most are the same email 5 times and they are messages that I sent other people??? PLease help!
Are you receiving through IMAP or POP3 ?
From what i understand you are seeing your own replies in the messages that you receive. Did you try changing to Conversation view in Outlook ?
Also make sure when you send mail through Outlook, the "Save copies of messages in Sent item folder" is unchecked in Outlook Options. This applies only if you see duplicate mails in Sent item folder.

we implemented that kind of organization a long time ago and it works fine. Actually we do not store the messages directly in the root of the current pst but create a "2010" -or whatever- at the egining of the year so it is ready to be archived as the year ends.
There is one caveat with the auto archiving function though. Last time I checked -that was long ago because of this, actually- the function does not use the mail generation date to archive, and instead it uses the "last time touched" date.
That means if you open today a msg from 2005 Outlook will NOT archive it because it has been 'used recently'.
That, in turn, means that your messages will end up in odd places, and following a past thread might become very troublesome as mails might be scatered on two or more psts depending on the last time you opened them, not when they were sent.
The only workaround for this (other than a 3rd party app maybe) is to move the messsages manually. If you have a lot of folders it can be annoying because you will have to do the selections and moves one folder at the time.
That is why we start the new period in a new folder, so only the messages that will be archived are put there to begin with

The message size may still be too large as most email providers impose limits on the size of message they will allow through their servers.
To delete any which are stuck in the Outbox, switch Outlook to "Offline" mode, they should then be deletable.
Open Outlook, click File >> Work Offline
Delete message, then click File >> Work Offline again to put it back online.
I am running Vista 64-Bit SP2 RC and Outlook 2007 on a HP Pavillion laptop (about 4 months old).
Almost all of my email attachments, specifically PDF and JPG files are not able to be opened. Regardless of whether I save them and then try to open them or try to open them directly from Outlook, I get error messages or a blank white screen (in the case of JPGs).
In the case of PDFs, I am getting an error message, "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
I have Adobe Reader 9.1.3.
If I left-click on the attachment in the message window in Outlook, it says,
"This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following previewer:
PDF Preview Handler for Vista
To open this file in its own program, double-click it."
P.S. I just tried opening a PowerPoint file using OpenOffice 3.1 and it said "General Input/Output Error"
When trying to enter a new contact in Outlook 2007, I try to enter the email address. If I type part of it, a list will come up and show me other contacts. If I accept one of them, it will put the name and email address in the field. When I hit tab, it disappears. In some cases, if I choose one, it will save the email address part, and fill in the Display name field, which I can then edit. If I edit the contact in the address book that I think it is coming from, then it will not even show up on the list to choose from. I guess my question is, where are these addresses coming from, and why won't they save in the field if they are already editted contacts in the address book?
I'm creating an email form in Outlook 2007, and I'd like to create default "to:" and "cc:" values. However, when I'm looking at the Message tab under "Edit Compose Page", the "last, first" format is rejected when I type in an address. Likewise the [email protected] format. When I alternately go to the (All Fields) tab and try to edit the Field Properties for "To", the dialog box is grayed out.
I'm guessing I'm going about this the wrong way, and I'm hoping that this is something I'm able to do. Is there another way to do this?

I am unable to receive messages in Outlook 2007. I can send without issue, but I cannot receive across a variety of email addresses with various port settings. Outlook was working without any issues until a few days ago and there were not any updates or installations that can be linked to this issue. I have tried removing the antivirus software entirely and I have disabled the firewall but still can’t receive messages. I do however receive emails on my blackberry from all email accounts. I have verified settings with my domain hosting company. When clicking on the “Test Account Settings” button on the “Internet E-mail Settings” page Outlook does not detect any issues however the test email is only received on the blackberry and not in Outlook. Outlook also does not show any errors when attempting to send and receive emails. Thanks for your help on this baffling problem.

Hi there For a while I've been using Windows Live Mail on Vista It worked well for ages but has recently refused to send mail After giving up on fixing it I set up Outlook instead Same settings and accounts as WLM a couple IMAP accounts and one HTTP Hotmail account Works fine only problem is that Outlook doesn't automatically retrieve mail I've set it so that it runs send receive once a minute which is okay but I would rather emails come through when they're actually sent My main qualm however is that even when send receive is run there is no notification for new mail No popup message in the corner no change in the tray icon nothing I just have to keep checking it which is annoying Anyway to fix those two issues At the office my work email receives emails when they're sent and a popup box appears in the lower left corner We run an Exchange server there so mayhap that receive 2007 Automatically email Outlook - makes a difference Thanks
Actually I've just found that it does indeed have a new icon in the tray upon the receipt of a new message. So the 1 minute send/receive doesn't really bother me.

So suddenly out of the blue up comes this message when I try to send/receive email or create a new mail that says something like "You don't have permission to create an entry in this folder. Right click the folder then yadda yadda about administrator and permissions etc..................."
I have Googled the world but can't seem to get an answer. There is one that refers to PROPERTIES on the Email Folder and set "Delegates" but that tab is not on my version of Outlook!

Hi all, I have been having this ridiculous problem at work. I'll open a new email then I'll close it, but on my windows XP task bar it's still there. It doesn't show up in task manager. I can right click it and hit close, but nothing happens. Same with restore and any other choice I have.
I found a few other threads like this around at various sites, but none have answers. I just figured I'd see if anyone has any ideas. It's not that big of a deal I can get rid of it by closing Outlook, but it's just a hasle having to re open it every hour or so.

Setup: Windows 7. Charter.net internet provider with email. Outlook 2007. Charter email account SMTP/IMAP set up with portals 143 and 25. Incoming email imap.charter.net. Outgoing email smtp.charter.net. Still active email account Bresnan.net POP/SMTP. Malwarebytes. Windows Security Essentials.
The problem. Email to my Charter.net email account does not appear in Outlook 2007 unless I close Outlook, reopen Outlook, and click on Inbox. I know that messages have reached Charter because i can see them at the Charter.net web site. Clicking Send/Receive in Outlook does not retrieve new emails. When I click Send/Receive I see activities bresnan.net sending, bresnan.net receiving, charter.net sending but NO charter.net receiving. New emails appear at my Bresnan and Gmail addresses normally.
Do I have a wrong setting? Is this a known problem with the Charter server?

When I go to New message, and begin to type an email address, when I type the first letter, all email addresses I have sent to in the past with that same beginning letter come up in a drop down list for me to choose one if I like. I am trying to capture all these email addresses from the past so I can do a bulk email, after editing out them ones I don't want to send in the bulk email. Is there some way to get all these into an excel file or something, other than cut and pasteing each one, a very slow process. If you can help, I will appreciate it.

You should have an export feature to export to different file formats. Office 2010 will do it in an excel format.
You also should be able to import the list you have created and make a distribution list of it. They are now called "Contact Groups" in 2010.
I'm having problems with Outlook 2007.
When I go to contacts and add a contact, save, the contact does not appear automatically on the TO: field of the email program.
My old contacts that have been imported work fine.

I think what you are refering to is the 'outlook cache' If you type in the name (or maybe even select it from the 'To:" it will then go into the cache and start popping up when you type a few letters??
I have an issue whereby I have forwarded an email to someboy but unsure to whom as it does not appear in my sent items. When I click on the original email in my inbox it states the email was forwarded at a particular point in time. I cannot however see it in my sent items.
I have not deleted anything from the sent items so i am puzzled as to why this is occurring. Can anybody help me find out how can identify to whom i forward the email to even though i cannot tell from my "sent items"?
I don't have that much knowledge of how Outllok takes care of that, the only setting I know is the setting where you state explicitly that you want a copy in Sent Items of every sent item.
It could be that when forwarding you changed this setting for this particular mail and therefore cannot find it in the sent items folder.
I have Otlook 2007 running under XP. It has worked fine for about 3 months, but suddenly I cannot receive any emails, or I get them sporadically.

Had a similar issue when a user installed Chrome and then uninstalled it. Did you uninstall or upgrade Chrome recently? It seems that they still need to polish some of the uninstall code as it leaves some registry items in a broken state. It?s not that IE isn?t the default browser, it?s that the registry entry for the default browser gets mucked up by Chrome. Checking and unchecking default browser in IE or Chrome won?t fix it once it?s busted.
I'm trying to set up my msn.com email addresses in outlook 2007. (Ironically they set up fine in Entourage.) I don't want to use the connector program, as it receives mail in a separate folder, and I'd rather keep my email together in one inbox. Scan for infestations, then consider uninstalling Office and Outlook, and reinstalling them after a reboot and defragmentation.
Either the program that created them is damaged, or some infestation or hardware error is the cause.
Yesterday morning, Outlook 2007 simply stopped sending/receiving email. Send/receive status simply hangs, showing some variation of "receving message X of X (X.XX KB of XYZ KB). When I cancel, the send/receive function doesn't work. I shutdown and restart, same scenario. I've removed and added Outlook to no avail. I am running it on Windows 7. Appreciate any help you might offer.
For no reason that I'm aware of, new emails in my Outlook 2007 system began going directly to the deleted folder - and a duplicate email appeared, also in the deleted folder. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

It must be some rule in your Outlook or the sender might be in your Blocked Sender List (see in Junk Email Options). See an old thread here in TSG that offers many solutions.
In Outlook 2007 I've setup an email account(email1). I then went into mail settings and added an additional mailbox(email2). I have two problems though.
1. When I want to sent an email from email2 it is actually sent from email1 on behalf of email2. Is it possible to just switch between the two?
2. When I send an email from either email address the message is put into a general sent items folder. Is it possible to put it into the sent items folder of the particular mailbox it was sent from?

Just got a new laptop with Win7. Have Outlook 2007 installed which is what I had on my old laptop running XP. Also have Outlook 2007 on a destop running Vista. On the new laptop, when an email contains a link to a php file on a website, typically a YouTube link, Outlook asks what to open with. I choose Internet Explorer. It asks for each new link received. If I look in the file associations, you can see where it has created an entry for each specific file. In fact, the is no .php available in the list to associate with. These used to work on the old laptop (XP) and work correctly on the Vista desktop. None of the three PCs have .php as a choice in the file association list. And Yes, I have the HTTP protocols set to IE.

Can someone tell me how to setup Outlook Express using my Yahoo email account?
Everytime I try to open an email in Outlook (using Outlook 2007 Ultimate with an outlook hosting provider), it hangs. No one else in my office is experiencing the same thing and we are all accessing the same hosting provider.
It will open the email after about 1 to 2 minutes timeframe.
I've attached my reliability report.

I have Outlook 2007 installed on laptop and have set-up an email account to use. The problem is that I can send email to other people's email addresses from this outlook 2007 account, but I am unable to receive email from other people?
Have read within this forum about correctly signing out of ISP accounts (if users read their email via web)- I personally never read via ISP's pages but did make a check to see if I had logged into ISP's web pages which I hadn't.
Not sure what's going on with the application in this instance & appreciate any help you can offer me for this particular prob in advance.

If you are using Win Vista try this
To determine whether this problem is caused by a network hardware device that does not support TCP Window Scaling, follow these steps:
1. Click Start , click All Programs, and then click Accessories.
2. Right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
3. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

I tried to send out an email to internal and external contacts in the first place but then Outlook prompted to restart. I restarted the Outlook thought maybe its the add-ins problem so I enable the add-ins but then when I try to send out the email again, it did not ask me to restart but close the program instead.
Did a test send to internal contacts only and it sent out (works) but with external contacts it gives the prompt again.
Problem solved: I deleted the Outlook profile and recreated it. Test send to internal and external contacts, WORKS!
*But instead of recreate the profile, are there any other ways to solve the issue?*
Received an email alert on desktop for new email arriving in my inbox. The alert is frozen there. Can't move, delete, or get any response. Rebooted computer but the alert is still frozen on desktop. Outlook 2007 in Windows XP Pro environment. Other than this problem, workstation & all software seems to be operating well.

Everything was fine last week but apparently they moved from POP3 to IMAP. Now, Outlook can't pull new mail from the server. Comcast says it's an Outlook problem and Microsoft wants to charge me an arm and a leg to troubleshoot.

That's because, unlike the POP protocol, IMAP syncs with third-party mail clients. Translation: When you access your Outlook.com inbox on, say, your desktop e-mail client, any messages you read, send, reply to, or delete get synced back to your account. It's a much more practical way to deal with e-mail.
I do not use MS antiquated email program, however, there is 'free' help from MS to fix the matter, you just need to find it.

A customer called me because he could no longer open print messages open and Outlook cannot 2007 email and print email messages in Outlook He is running Windows XP SP with gigs of ram and a dual core processor The system struggles a little but doesn't seem overwhelmed by how he loads it The computer was also throwing up a low virtual memory error For starters I closed Outlook and ran disk cleanup Then I manually emptied the user and Windows temp folders Set the Outlook 2007 cannot open and print email messages swapfile to the recommended size it was too small and rebooted Afterward Outlook seemed more responsive It didn't have a problem sending receiving and it was possible to view messages in the preview pane however it still would not open a message in a separate window and it wouldn't print messages I confirmed that the printer worked fine by printing from another application I located all the PST files one of which was gigs I installed PerfectDisk analyzed the disk for fragmentation and discovered that the gig PST was fragmented into over thousand pieces the others weren't much better I started the defrag and told the customer it would take all day It seems to me that the extreme fragmentation of the PSTs is causing the problem but I haven't heard yet if defragging solved it Would you agree If I hear from the customer that the problem is not solved what else should I be looking at TIA

I have configured my email account via Outlook 2007 ready for use and used the inbuilt test facility during configuration (which returned as all ok indicating 'tasks completed' after using the account test facility.
Then when I went to collect/view the test message that was sent, there was nothing inside the inbox. I proceeded to manually send a test message to myself as a secondary measure (as no doubt most of us do when testing e-mail accounts) and again that didn't return either.
The messages are being sent with no problems it's just on the recieve side of things here.
Appreciate any help that you may have.
I followed the steps within microsoft knowledge base http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935400 to disable the autotuning level from the command prompt as I do indeed use Vista. I tried to receive various test messages in Outlook again which unfortunately still couldn't receive the e-mails, but Outlook itself was still able to send.
However, I'm convinced that the disabling has indeed fixed the problem or played a strong part at least because after doing the above I decided to delete the email account from within Outlook (as I previously did many times) & start over.
I again created a 'test' profile & checked to make sure it tested ok within properties of account in which the test account unfortunately still couldn't receive e-mails, but again was still able to send.
I deleted the test profile thereafter & decided to choose the default 'outlook' profile to configure all over again... lo & behold after configuring the 'outlook' profile and re-testing with various test messages, the test messages were now being delivered into the inbox & viewable!
I just got Outlook 2007 but only have Word 2003. I want to set Word as my email editor. I've looked at all the Outlook Options and checked the Microsoft website but can't find how to set Word as the editor. If there is a way, please let me know.
The reason I want Word as the editor is I send a lot of screen snapshots and I used to be able to crop them in Word editor. I can't find a crop option in Outlook 2007. If there is a way to crop screenshots in Outlook editor then I don't need Word.

If you don't have the rest of Office 2007, you won't get the rich features it provides. With Office 2007, you can crop any picture right in an email message; just hit the contextual tab Picture Tools | Format.
How can I set my Outlook 2007 to save sent to email addresses for more than 1 day after sending?

I know there is a PST file somewhere (if this is what I need to copy where do I find it?) on the computer but does it contain all of this info?

I am using Outlook 2007 and recently all my signatures have started to be bracketed with purple typeface seemingly tagging the data. For instance it will bracket and tag the zipcode or address.

Hi, if a machine is using Outlook Connector with Outlook 2007 to access a Hotmail account, is it possible that an email coming in to Hotmail can then be opened and replied to from within Outlook 2007 and then not appear again in the Hotmail account. (i.e. can the incoming and reply emails be deleted in Outlook 2007 without ever appearing in Hotmail again?)

Most probably not as Hotmail keeps stuff. You have to log onto your Hotmail account directly and then delete the email and empty the trash.
I have windows 7 & office 2007. I am attempting to create an email merge. I have tried to do so starting with first with outlook (which takes me to word) which failed in sending, and then starting with word (which takes me to outlook and then back to word) and also failed in sending. I have followed all instructions to a T (as provided by help in both programs as well as microsoft help online).
What am I missing? Is there some connection between the 2 programs that needs to be set up first?

There are four uses in my small office. Three of them use Outlook 2003 and one has Outlook 2007. The three Outlook 2003 users can send email to everyone internally without any problems.
The Outlook 2007 user can respond to email sent from people internally without any problems. Any new email she sends to any of the three people internally get stuck in the Outbox.
We use register.com to handle our email.
Any suggestions on how to get the Outlook 2007 user to be able to send email internally successfully would be appreciated.

One of my hobbies is participating each week in the Wall Street Journal Newshound Quiz. This is sent out by email each Friday at noon, consists of 5 multiple choice questions with radio buttons. No problems when I was using Outlook 2003, but when I got a new laptop with Outlook 2007, the radio buttons in the emails don't work. It seems to me there are 2 possibilities:
1. The solution lies with WSJ reconfiguring the quiz to work with Outlook 2007. In that case, I could go to an internet based email. I've tried Yahoo mail, but it is flaky, often seriously delays getting the quiz to me. Or, maybe I could downgrade to Outlook 2003, if I knew how to do that.
2. Maybe its something in my setup of Outlook 2007, that I can easily fix?
I would appreciate any suggestions.
My hard drive has been wiped out. Before I try a recovery of all my files, I had a new hard drive installed, and installed by backup through Norton. However I didn't have a backup of all my emails. I can access all 4 accounts through mail.google.com ( that's about 60 000 emails), but is there anyway I can import them into outlook 2007? I am using a pop/smtp type account.
On Google mail under settings forearding POP/imap
Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)

Ever since I got Office 2007, I’m not able to create a new email message from another program.
For example, if I select a file in Explore and click ‘E-mail this file’, nothing happens. It used to automatically pop up a new Outlook email message. This happens in another program as well. I can create new emails fine while in Outlook. Microsoft Exchange Server is set up as the default email type, which was the first thing we checked when this problem started. Not sure if this issue is with Outlook 2007 or Windows XP.
