I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hey all, I'm trying to set up dual monitors on my machine. I've got an ATI X300 Radeon card, and I'm trying to enable the onboard video card on the mobo for the other output. I've done it this way on other systems, so I'm hoping it's doable in this case, but I can't seem to get the onboard card enabled.

It's an Intel D915GSN board, which I've been unable to find a manual for. Intel's site has documentation for 7 different 915G-- boards, but none of them are "SN."

Anyone know offhand how to do this, or where I can find a manual?

A:Enable onboard video on an Intel D915GSN board

Is this from a Gateway computer? If so refer to the Gateway manual for yoru system.

But many of these don't allow you chose to enable both at the same time.

The solution to this is to run both monitors off the add-in video card. Most X300's support dual monitors but you may need a DVI to analog VGA convertor for the card.

Their should be ( on the site where you found the update) information as to what issues it specifically addresses. Most of the time it is advisable to update chipset drivers. They control all the way everything your MB does, from the Ethernet to NB to Sb and ram communication. Where as a bios update should only be done if it specifically addresses issues you are experiencing, or new support for your CPU. This is of course my opinion. There'll be others I'm sure.Fabe

could anyone help me confirm if the Intel D102GGC2 motherboard is a standard matx board (ie. mounting holes will be in same position) and/or the emachine/gateway chassis that came stock with this motherboard could fit another without modification?

will work on getting a pic outlining current holes if it will help but if anyone knows off the top of their head? :-/

only asking this since i JUST read that gateway and im guessing emachine too maybe might sometimes use a nonstandard or order custom boards

A:Intel D102GGC2 form factor/mounting

The Intel D102GGC2 board is a standard mATX board. Generally speaking, when a board is an OEM proprietary board the form factor is not changed, however the location of I/O connectors and various board connectors may be different from a standard board.

I have a INtel Desktop Board D945GCCR, and everytime I boot it up with the hard-drive i get a black screen, no intel logo, nothing happens to it just freezes up, when i remove the hard-drive (160 gb sata) it boots up to a screen still without the intel logo but it shows media failure and that it is quiting boot agent and that is all.

Has anyone had this problem before? This happens when there is no Windows installed on the hard drive. Can anyone help out? Thanks in advance.

Do you have another hard disk you can try?

If not, do you have a floppy drive you can boot to or maybe a CD-ROM drive and a bootable CD?

Hi Guys! I am new here.

Well I am in trouble regarding Intel D815EEA main board of my uncles PC.

The problem is, the PC had Segate ST320423A 20.4 GB HDD which no more works. Now as we all know its almost impossible to get 20 GB HDD in the market so I thought to buy at list 80 GB, BUT, I am not sure if D815EEA will support 80 GB HDD or above.

He dosent have mainboard manual but I downloaded from but with no use. In the manual its not mentioned what is the maximum GB HDD would D815EEA support.

So please, if any one could tell me how and where can I find this info, it would help me a lot.

A:intel discontinued desktop board drivers

I would say no or at least very unlikely as intel discontinued support for this board late 2006, running windows 7 on a Pentium 4 board is possible but for anything more than very basic tasks it's going to become painfully slow

your next problem with that age of motherboard is lack of ram

I would suggest save up and get a dual core motherboard to get you started

Hi, and thanks for looking at this problem. Hopefully you can help.
I was awake untill 4 this morning trying to figure out what the problem is with the motherboard i have just installed.
The problem is, i have installed the motherboard inside the case securly, connected the IDE cables, Floppy and Power Connector cables to the motherboard and the part i am confused on is, the front panel connecters. I cannot figure out which LED goes where, however i had guessed which is the power connector as i can power it on, but get no LED display on the front of my case, and no display on my monitor. I looked over the motherboard manual on the Intel website, and followed their instructions and still no luck.
Anyone who can help me, i would greatly appreciate it.
Many Thanks, Ant.

So I recently had my main computer crash and break to the point I need a new computer so I figured I'd make it worth it this time.

Here's the deal: (add the www to see it)

Everything on there seems decent but I am curious about the board itself. Would the Intel Desktop Board DP55WB Motherboard be good for gaming, which I wish to use my computer mainly for. I have at most a 700 dollar budget and this seems like a nice deal for it. I plan on putting a Geforce GTX 580 graphics card in it as soon as I get the money as a little side note if it matters.

I'd suggest looking at the same chipset, but in either Gigabyte or Asus brands. Intel boards are fine, as much as it goes, but the BIOS is very limited as to configuration for different memory, and overclocking options. Intel really markets it's boards as mainstream items, intended for average users and businesses, they're not really aimed at the enthusiast.

The feature set can vary widely from board to board, and you should have a look at these pages to see which board has the capabilities you need;

Asus P-55; 600008216&IsNodeId=1&name=Intel P55

Hi everyone

I`ve been trying to install the 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate version on an Intel Desktop Board DZ77SL-50K using a 3TB Seagate HDD. Somewhere along the road, I learnt the motherboard must be switched to UEFI mode first in order to install the OS on a 3TB internal HDD. A:Recommend Desktop Board for Intel« Pentium« Processor E5200

Hello avishnashrawat mate that is a fairly old CPU being a 775 socket and you will be looking at getting a used board unless you find something local new which I am doubting very much. Now I can only find the specs for the CPU and I cannot find anything of any use except it does support 64bit stuff but I cannot make out or see what memory is supported so.

Sorry but if it were me and I had this processor that is just what I would have to do. Now there are some good 1150 socket boards at a reasonable price out here at around $88 for the ASUS B85M-F Motherboard, and coupled with say a Pentium such as the Intel Pentium G3240 ($79) or Intel Pentium Anniversary Edition G3258 ($89) or even a Intel Celeron G1840 at $59 then you would have an up to date board and processor albeit they are quite basic but I would suggest they are superior to the CPU you have now. Plus you then just need the other components to suit ie RAM.

Now I understand you might be tied to a budget but truly I think you would be better off doing that than throwing good money after bad, because using used components is like playing Russian roulette - you just would not know what you are getting.

Anyway perhaps things might turn out and you find something that you are asking after - good luck

A:Three long beeps on Intel desktop board D850MV/D850EMV2

I think three beeps on Intel is a memory issue. At least that what it was when I had a stick of cheap RAM crap out on me.

I'd run Memtest and go from there

RAM can fail from a number of causes. Heat exposure, flaky transistor junctions, who knows. I seriously doubt plugging the TV in had anything to do with it.
You could go into BIOS to ascertain if the RAM voltage is set correctly. Over-volting is a DIMM killer.

You should be able to get documentation for that board directly off Intel's web site. Intel used to give BIOS beep codes ion the board/chipset manuals.

They also have hardware monitor software as a free download. Look up "Intel Desktop Utilities Lite".

MSI 6178 version1 mobo

sound card => 82801AB 8xx Chipset AC'97 Audio Controller
i have never been able to play midis appart frm on QuickTime 5 when it creates its own files

I have tried using plugins for winamp and Anvil Studios but i hear nothing when i play midis

i've re=installed my soundMAX driver but it remain the same

I have had an unknown device in " Device Manager " since re installing Windowns lasy year.

I'm very annoyed as i need midis for my new business.

A:Intel on-board , can they play MIDIs ?

Hi Dj-mike

The newer Intel based boards do support Midi port connections which would give you what you need for your biz.

I recently built a machine based upon the Asus PC4800 mobo that has midi built into the board.

I dont know if that answers your question but there you go ...

There are alot of options for maximising your midi setup when you build your own machine .

I need to enable pci card video adapters and disable the onboard graphics adapter in my system BIOS, trouble is, I do not know where to locate the BIOS on my computer !

I have a Dell Dimension L866r running win. XP (neither home nor Prof.) using an Intel onboard graphics card. Im trying to install a Radeon 9250 pci card that i want to use.

I would be fine now if not for the fact that every 3 (and I counted !!!) Boot-ups windows fails to start and i have o plug my moniter back into the onboard slot and boot up in safe mode then restart the comp and plug the moniter back into my Radeon card. I would also like to know (if this is not solved by enabling it in the BIOS) how i would get the splash screen and the XP load up screen on my Radeon.

when i plug a 64mb pc100 (kingsington value ram) into the connector and boot, the system does not recognize the newly added ram. if i remove the two simms, the system doesn't boot. i took the ram and plugged it into one of my systems and it worked fine. open for suggestions.

A:Intel Celeron D Mother Board Compatibility?

There is a good chance your CeleronD is not compatible with that board. I ran into this problem when we switched over to the CeleronD at work, we had to make sure we were getting the newer revision of the board (Albatron PM266 Pro), as the older one looked identical, but was not compatible (and no BIOS update would fix that).

It's true that they overclock well, I got my 2.66GHz one up to 3.4GHz without even needing to increase the CPU voltage.

Pin compatible? The sockets look identical, if that's what you mean. But boards may require hardware changes (e.g. improved power delivery) to support a Prescott. You aren't likely to damage a board by plugging one in, it just won't boot.

No, the motherboard supplies the voltage to it. The CPU tells the motherboard the voltage it wants, but some boards (including mine) allow you to increase the voltage.

I plan to build my own computer since the DELL gx280 have given hard time to me. The i5 process would like to be my system in this time. Here is the list what I estimate on ebay (mostly)

CPU: Intel Core 2 q9400 - $190 OR i5 - $200
CPU Fan: ???
M/B: Asus P5KPL-CM - $60 OR Intel DP55WB - $100
Ram: Kingston 4gb DDR2 800mhz - $60 OR DD3 -$70
Video: ATI Radeon 4850 - $124
HDD: Western Digital 500GB 32mb, 7200 rpm - $56
CASE: standard ATX Tower with 500w power - $45

I have no idea about a CPU cooler. What I heard that the CPU cooler should be different ones depends on the M/B and case.
What kinds of cooler can I use for my system? Also how am I able to firgue that out?

Hi there,

Tried in vain to find an answer to this one.

I have heard that maybe some versions of Windows 7, such as Starter or Home Basic, will not permit the automatic switching to a stand alone graphic card (Nvidia or ATI Radeon).

I wish to find out if this is correct and if so, which versions are restricted? I use Photoshop and play HD video files up to 2GB in size, so I want to ensure switching is performed for improved graphical performance. Based on this finding, I can then decide what O/S to buy with a new laptop I'm about to purchase.

Thank you,

A:Which 7 works when switching from Intel on board to Nvidia/ATI gfx?

There is no such restriction. It is a function of the hardware and drivers. But really why would you chose to use Starter or Basic in the first place? That would make no sense. Home Premium should be the lowest version you should go for.

Any Suggestions on how to get the drives recognized during the install of Win 7 Pro?

A:Need drivers for Win 7 Pro for Intel Server board - se7230nh1-e

it seems that that system does not have any drivers for windows 7 as it was never designed for it and as such neither does it have drivers for 2008 or r2 so using r2 drivers are out of the question your best bet is probably AHCI and software raid once in your OS, you may need to break your current array to set it to AHCI i'm not familiar with that board's raid setup. i mainly use a s5000xvn in my office. To get windows to see the drives for that at install i had to load drivers manually after picking custom install for 2008 r2.

Hi, Rapidly tapping the ESC key after power on should get you to Startup Menu and from there you can select Computer Setup (bios). If you can't get to the Startup memu using the ESC key then you will need to take a longer route to get into the UEFI settings.  Review this procedure. The below image is reflective for the Leeds motherboard in your PC. There is not a lot of differences between the below image and that which Paul had posted.  You will need to change the Disable to Enable and then save the settings. The other changes will require Windows 8 Pro or higher and also to enable the function under Turn Windows Features On or Off.

I am wanting to use one of the power supplies in a standard case with a standard desktop board with a twenty-pin power connector. The power supply has a twenty-four pin connector.

Here's the question: Can I simply connect the twenty-four pin connector to the twenty-pin board (letting the extra four pins hang off to the side, unconnected) and have it work that way?

I found an English manual at the Intel site; but, it has nothing in it about the front panel LEDs, power switch, reset, etc. in all of its 80 (+/-) pages. I guess this board was originally intended to be used in a case that had a front-panel wiring block.

I did a Google search and came up with a plethora of irrelevant information.

I guess there might be a standard arrangement that Intel uses; but, I can't find anything indicating that either.

Hello Mike -

I have had a similar problem with various flavors of Win7 - drove me nuts until I changed out the MONITOR during initial Win installation. Once totally installed, I changed to my "normal" monitor.

Win7 will not install on any of my systems that use a Dell wide monitor - sample problem you posted. However, I keep an older "standard" screen to use during Win7 install and it works every time. Once Win7 is insralled I change out to the Dell wide screen and it works great.

See if this works for you. Good luck.

I'd like to upgrade a PC which so far was running on WindowsXP to Windows7. The Microsoft Upgrade checker told me that the hardware is okay for Windows7 (2 GB RAM, CPU Intel Pentium4 2x3GHz).
To be on the safe side, I checked the Intel homepage regarding the mainboard D875PBZ and found out, that there seems to exist no driver for Windows7 (or 8/8.1).
What I am surprised about though is that the upgrade checker did not warn me in this regard.
I would assume that if there is no mainboard driver for Windows7 I definitely cannot upgrade this system from XP to Windows7, right?
On the other hand, what is the Microsoft Upgrade Checker good for if it does not recognize such essential things?
Any ideas as to what I can do?

A:XP Upgrade to Windows 7 - no driver for Intel board D875PBZ ?

Theoretically your board is capable of running "Windows 7" ( BIOS and chipset is okay ) and that is why "Upgrade Adviser" reported it to be compatible. I have successfully installed and managed to tun "Win7" on systems which has lower specifications than yours - such as one with 865 and 845 chipsets. However performance will be marginally low when compared to a modern system. SO i would highly recommend to upgrade your CPU (you can keep the old monitor and save cash )or buy a refurbished CPU which can run 7 fine.

However if you really want to check whether your system is capable of running 7, you can download genuine "Windows 7" install media from "Digitalriver" ( a Microsoft subsidiary ) and use that to do a test install on your system. Both download links and performance optimization tips are covered in the tutorial Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

If the Intel ICH5 chipset burnt, do you think the m/board can still reboot (e.g. boot into BIOS)?

The Intel ICH5 chipset on my friend's m/board was burnt. The system could not reboot, e.g. after reset, the monitor screen was just blank and the indicator (LED) on the monitor turned from GREEN to ORANGE.

I can get both of these parts for 20$ a piece and I have enough parts from an older build laying around to build a small computer to go in my tv cabnet to hook to the new 37 LG. I am assuming they will work together even though the FSB is 800 on the processor? and the board is less? does it matter?
The only other problem I see is that I have seen nothing about onboard video in the specs.

Just looking to build something inexpensive to check the weather while sitting on the couch and maybe keep the photos on.

Everyone was a great help last time and my first build is still up and running from day one with no problems!

I have a Gigabyte Gamer 3 motherboard with an I7 processor, with on board Intel graphics processor.
I have this installed via Windows 10 along with an NVDIA GTX650 graphics card. Recently if I do a full "reboot" after the windows logo comes up all the monitors go into sleep mode and the system does not boot,.
To get the system to boot up with both graphics drivers installed, I have to either power off the PSU or go into the BIOS and then exit without saving changes. The system then boots fine until another "restart".
Fast boot works fine also, it's just when Windows does a "restart".
Any ideas anyone?
I have disabled the onboard graphics temporarily and the system works fine every time, but before both used to work without any problems.

Hi I own a Intel Pentium D CPU 2.80Ghz running on 2 core processers it is a HP PC m7360n. And Running on Upgrade Version of Windows Vista Home Premium. I have 300watts Powersupply running with Radeon x1600 512MB PRO Version. Then I "want to upgrade to 700watts" Powersupply with out any issues from "300 watts power supply". Is it safe enough to install the powersupply? Also I gotten today Radeon HD 3870 512MB wich is require to upgrade 450 or higher? Is it ok go and head install the power supply? Or can my HD 3870 can or can't? run 300Max which I know is unsafe. :/ I don't want to take any chances. Or not I just goto a local computer store and pay for them to install it.

A:Installing 700w Power Supply to Intel 4 Board

I would go ahead and install the new power supply. You should have no issues as long as the new power supply has all the proper connectors your equipment needs such as a PCI-E connector (for the graphics card) and a 700W should. If you are worried about a 700W being too powerful for your old setup, don't be. Your PC will draw only what it needs from the power supply even if you install a 1200W PSU.

Each type of PSU connector can only be connected to its own type and they are keyed so it is hard to install them backwards. After installing all the new power connections, double check the data cables. Sometimes they can get loose by accident when you are installing the other cables.

If you haven't bought it yet, make sure you get a good quality PSU. This is one piece of equipment you don't want to go too cheap.

I notice under my WiFi connection properties there is a tick box to use Intel Connection Settings and a Configure button. What are the advantages (if any) of using this and what are the recommended settings? I'm only sing 2.4GHz WiFi at present.

You can but it likely won't help much. Unfortunately that Intel GUP just can't handle much in the way of games,

At the moment I run dual display through VGA, one is monitor, one is the laptop screen. However, I'm looking to use an additional monitor on top of this. I know I have an NVIDIA video card, and onboard Intel graphics. Are both of these being currently used to run a dual-display setup, or not? And would there be a way I could run 3 displays (2 externals + laptop) based on what I have in my system?
Running WIN7 64bit if that helps.

I want to take my hard drive with the files (win98se) from a hp intel 500mhz celeron system and put it in a 1300mhz AMD board.
Before I do this should I remove most of the drivers etc before I switch over or should i leave it as is? I was just thinking that there would be a lot of conflicts if i don't prepare it for the move. What is the normal procedure? Thanks. Ed
