Webpage Tracker Workaround

Q: Webpage Tracker Workaround

Hello all, new member here.

I need to track changes to a particular webpage. Here's the catch: the webpage requires a log-in (i.e. you must log in to ever reach the page). The webpage trackers I've tried (like Versionista) return the same nonsense you'd get from typing in the URL into any unauthorized computer. Is there anyway around this? Perhaps a program that can authenticate me when necessary or some other workaround? Or even a particular tracker that bypasses this problem all together?

Thanks!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Anyone? I just need to be alerted when a certain webpage that requires a log-in is updated. I'm sure others have solved this problem.

Have you tried ,Booting into safe mode . If not try that and run a good spyware program. Such as Superantispyware or Malware antibites. Plus run your anti virus program. Sound like you might have a virus or some nasty spyware. If this is the case you might want to post in the Virus and Malware Thread. Some over their will help you.

I was given a laptop by a friend to look at, he said it had a virus and "crap" and wouldn't get on the net. I ran adaware and cleared some stuff out, cccleaner, all Windows updates. I can ping yahoo so it has some connectivity. I pull up IE and it won't work, I also tried Chrome and Firefox. I also uninstalled mywebsearch which I know causes problems. One thing that I got was an error with Spybot "the tcp ip protocol is not installed properly". Anyway I can go about reinstalling this or do I have to do a repair, the OS is Vista.

I am building a mediacenter computer with an Antec OvertureII case and Asrock 775Twins-HDTV mobo, but my surprise comes when i push the power on button, and nothing comes out. After a couple of tests, i realized that the problem is caused by the Antec psu,( with other psu the mobo starts ok, and this psu works ok with other mobo ,so.... I think that the motherboard checks the -5V signal, but the SP450 ATX v2.0 Antec PS does not have that voltage(there is only 19 pin in the 20 atx connector).

Any ideas?.

Thanks!.

any way you please or have the knowledge to use.

Hello all, I've only had minor experience designing webpages. I keep one up and going for my dads business but it's very simplw and doesnt matter much. I recently went ahead and purchased Frontpage 2003 after using the Beta for many months. I made a deal with my uncle to design a site for his business..I made $500. The site is www.firstimpressionscollision.com . I'm pretty much finished with it, however I designed it to be primarily displayed at 1024x768...It still looks ok at 800x600 in Windows XP....but I noticed that at 800x600 on Windows 98 it knocks everything out of place and looks horrific..is there any auto resize setting I can use?

Is there a way to download an embedded video from a webpage even if it doesn't have a download link? At least is there a screen recorder that captures the audio?

A:Is there a way to download an embedded video from a webpage?

Yes well, depends but it should be.

Basiclly what I find useful is to right click near you video and select the option "View Page Source" (in Firefox) or "View Source" (in IE). This will open up a new window with sites code. What you want to do is look for any video extersion such as (.flv, .wmv, .mp4) and so forth and once you find them just copy the whole link with the extersion and paste it to your search box in your browser and select save/open.

This should work most of the times. Here is an example.

I want to download a featured video from SWTOR gaming website. I go on the page where the video is located (http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/game-features) and right click and select "View Page Source".

I look for any video link and I find a .flv format URL. I copy that URL (see below) and paste it to my browser and hit save.

The URL:
http://cdn-www.swtor.com//sites/all/files/en/vc/20110610_gf615/TOR_Game_Features.flv

Its quite easy, there might be other ways with browser plugins but imho this is the easiet, at least for me.

I have a website I use http://webmail4.com/webmail/login.php?url=%2Flogin.php
and when I try to print a page using the print feature, the browser always closes the window. I have to go into my history and open up the past closed page then ALT+P to print.
How do I fix this so other users don't have to do something like this?

I have tested this on Chrome, and the browser does not close my pages.

Currently Edge has no Home Page icon.  Here is a workaround for that.
Have Favorites Bar showing. Open the site used as Home Page.  Save it to Favorites Bar & name it Home Page.  Bit crude, maybe, but, it works.
(From a person in another IT Forum)

One thing, it does save back-paging twice to go from Reading View back to Home Page; now one click back to it.  (W/out this, one went to an item, article, on the HP or from it then, selected Reading View... when read would go back to article normal view then, back to Home Page)
Cheers,Drew

Yesterday I got a client's Lenovo Desktop with a corrupted Microsoft Account Password only in the computer The Microsoft Account signon is ok just the computer has the issue with it I have worked on this problem for many hours and with no success The computer is a Password Account in 8.1 a workaround Win Microsoft Need Corrupted - Lenovo Desktop with Windows installed with an SSD and an HHD drive There are no markings on the case to tell me model number I also realized after awhile that you need to hold down the Shift Key when either powering off or restarting to Microsoft Account Password in Win 8.1 Corrupted - Need a workaround insure a complete boot up My client apparently opened an email that messed up his computer He contacted Microsoft and one of their technicians got into his computer From that point on apparently the microsoft account signon password got corrupted only inside his computer I can signon to his Microsoft Account got microsoft to send me a code so I could reset his password This worked on his account only Still cannot logon to his computer - password failed Microsoft Account Password in Win 8.1 Corrupted - Need a workaround - try again message I tried F - Bios F - Boot Menu and cannot get past the CMOS password Boot menu lets me past but cannot change anything - trying to change boot order so I can boot to Hirens F -Bios gives me a fatal error I also tried F to change Boot from Standard to Legacy - F does not work on this Lenovo Desktop Pulled the Cmos battery for minutes put it back in and no change to the Bios password still locked out of modifying anything related to boot order F - Safe Mode still wants a password - thus cannot get into Safe Mode with Command Prompt to create an Administrator Account I need help from someone with more technical knowledge than I have Either trying to boot to a rescue disk Hirens or UBCD or get into Command Mode to create an Administrator Account I am hoping someone will respond as that has technical experience and knowledgable who may have experienced this before Also anyone who can offer another solution to what I have tried so far

A:Microsoft Account Password in Win 8.1 Corrupted - Need a workaround

I am not sure how Microsoft got past the CMOS password. There should be a jumper allowing you to clear CMOS which would remove any password. With the CMOS battery removed hold down the power button for 30 seconds to remove any residual power.

http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht036531?tabName=Solutions

The computer has SecureBoot enabled so no disk will boot even if you could get to the F12 boot menu.

Is there any sticker on the back of the computer?

Along with many other issues with Win 8, they have made it so that unsigned drivers can't be installed. I'm trying to root my Tegra Note 7 but win 8 won't let me use drivers that are required. There is a statement on rootjunky.com that mentions that drivers have to be installed manually but I don't know how to do this, anyone have an idea about this. Thanks

A:Win 8 unsigned driver workaround?

Go into your recovery system and work your way to the option called Startup Settings. One of the options will allow you to disable driver signature enforcement on the next boot up.

2. If you're going to be that big into video and/or gaming... then you really need more RAM.

I have a 3 year old Compaq laptop, with vista home basic. After I moved house, it shows as connected to the internet, and says there are no problems with connection, but every time I try to connect to a website, it displays the message "windows internet explorer cannot display the webpage" (all the other computers in the house work fine). Is there anything I can do?

A:windows internet explorer cannot display the webpage

First thing I would try...reset IE to defaults.

How to reset Internet Explorer settings - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic323892.html/page__p__1797792#entry1797792 , taking care to post the link.

I wonder why IE cannot display any valid webpages. I enter the IP address for gateway router, it  said DSL Connected, Internet Connected. I clicked on My Network Places > Network Connections, it said Local area connection 2 Connected.  However when I click View workgroup computers only two computers are shown instead of six shown in the Network Summary report for my 2701HG-B gateway router. What might be the cause of the problem?

Avast is telling you that it has possibly found a fake msiexec.exe. Best not to ignore that. Suggest you scan using the programs below to find and remove the culprit.
EDIT: Avast is blocking access to a website known as malicious....possibly a botnet control one. See Scan report for http://differentia.ru/diff.php at 2015-08-10 06:31:56 UTC - VirusTotal

I have had this problem for a few days now and I can't seem to get rid of it. First I would get unable to connect to proxy server and I would untick it and I would refresh the page but it would tell me This Webpage is not Available and a few more refreshes would take me back to Unable to Connect to Proxy Server. This happens over and over again and I'm tired of it and I've lost my patience here. I also tried to use AdwCleaner to get rid of all my files but some of them still remain. I don't know if its a virus or something else but this is definitely messing me up here. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL HERE!

If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient. If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

I've never run across this before.

On our small business server, we need to access our credit card processing webpage. EVERY time we access this page and log in, the internet goes down on the server and it can't load any webpage. This ONLY occurs on our server. Accessing our provider's webpage on any other machine works fine. The only way to solve the issue is to physically unplug the ethernet cable, restart the computer, and plug it back in.

Could this be a virus?

We are running windows 7 64x.

Hello. I am having a few problems with my computer.  It started off with being redirected when I would clink on a link on a website.  I not have internet explorer opening on its own repeatedly and have popups reading "message from webpage" followed by different messages.   I have Windows 8.1 running.  I recently loaded McAfee Protection not knowing that it was not compatible with my system.  Windows Defender was down to allow McAfee to run.  I have removed McAfee and enabled Window Defender.  I have been unable to get my firewall to turn on.   I have installed Malwarebytes.  It has been popping up messages about "outbound" warnings.  I have also tried using Adwcleaner and Junkware removal tool.  The problem is still there and getting more persistent.   Please help.Edit: Topic moved from Windows 8 to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Hello,

We will be helping you with your problems. Please be patient while we assist you.

Some points for you to keep in mind while we are helping you to make things go easier and faster for both of us:

Please do NOT run, install or uninstall any programs,  unless instructed to do so.
We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability.
Please do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.
Due to the high volume of logs we receive it helps to receive everything in the same format, and code boxes make the logs very difficult to read. Also, attachments require us to download and open the reports when it is easier to just read the reports in your post.
Please read every post completely before doing anything.
Pay special attention to the NOTE: lines, these entries identify an individual issue or important step in the cleanup process.
Please provide feedback about your experience as we go.
A short statement describing how the computer is working helps us understand where to go next, for example: I am still getting redirected, the computer is running normally, etc. Please do not describe the computer as "the same", this requires the extra step of looking back at your previous post.
NOTE: At the top of your post, click on the Watch Topic Button, select Immediate Notification, and click on Proceed. This will send you an e-mail as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing us to resolve the issue faster.
NOTE: Backup any files that cannot be replaced. Removing malware can be unpredictable and this step can save a lot of heartaches if things don't go as planed. You can put them on a CD/DVD, external drive or a pen drive, anywhere except on the computer.
- Do NOT backup any unknown files ending in .exe, .com, .scr, .pif, and .bat since files of these types are more likely to be infected.
NOTE: It is good practice to copy and paste the instructions into notepad and print them in case it is necessary for you to go offline during the cleanup process. To open notepad, navigate to

For Win 7 and Vista: "Windows Orb"> Programs > Accessories > Notepad
For Win XP: Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad.

Please remember to copy the entire post so you do not miss any instructions.

----------------------------------------------

Please do the following:

Please download the TDSS Rootkit Removing Tool (TDSSKiller.exe) and save it to your Desktop. <-Important!!!
Double-click on TDSSKiller.exe on your desktop to run the tool for known TDSS variants.Vista/Windows 7 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
If TDSSKiller does not run, try renaming it.
To do this, right-click on TDSSKiller.exe, select Rename and give it a random name with the .com file extension (i.e. 123abc.com). If you do not see the file extension, please refer to How to change the file extension.
Click on change parameters
Under Objects to scan, check the boxes next to Verify file digital signatures, Detect TDLFS file system, then click OK.

When your system won't allow you to download scanners it's a very good indication that you have an active infection.
I'm going to ask a moderator to move this thread into the proper forum so you can get the help you need - from trained experts.

I keep getting messages from avast saying it is blocking a webpage or file. My task manager shows there are a lot of processes running. My computer is acting really slow now, and it started making buzzing noises, and on startup the fan is making an incredible racket as well. Malwarebytes hasn't found anything. What should I do? I saw other people post, but there were warnings not to repeat these things.

Each warning has three fields, object: infection: and Process:
usually says http;//f0fff0...... or fa8072 or maybe go.wymedia

infection is always url mal
and process is generally windows syswow64/dllhost or program files....iexplores/exe

There is reference on the Internet to folks who have played around with various settings related to security levels, encryption, SMB, etc. to successfully connect a Windows 7 computer to an NT 4 domain. which according to MS is not supported  I am always dubious of claims made in general forums.  I know that according to official MS, Windows 7 was designed not to do this (or perhaps differently phrased not designed to do this).  I don't care about security issues in the situation I am contemplating where I could use this so if overall security gets lowered, encryption, etc. no problem.

A:windows 7 and NT 4 server - workaround

click the start button and type secpol.msc in the search function.
Browse to "Local Policies" -> "Security Options".  Now look for the entry "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level" and open it.  Click on the dropdown menu and select "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated".  Apply the settings.

In the Advanced sharing settings page of Network and sharing center, you need to have it set as Work/Home profile.  Try Make sure computers are the same workgroup for now (you can change it later)Enable network discoveryTurn on  file and print sharingTurn off password protected sharingTurn on Use user accounts and passwords to connect to other computers
The other settings such as encryption I have set as use 128 bit encryption, you may need lower.
Please check related policies. If a HOME version of win 7
1. Launch regedit from Start Search box.2. Find the following branch.  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

Hi,
I work for a software development company.  Our clients access our solution via a secured website.  After installing IE11, several of our clients have complained about receiving a pop up message that states: "The webpage you are viewing is
trying to close the tab.  Do you want to close this tab?".  We found that having users Reset their Internet Explorer settings resolves this issue, but we don't want to have thousands of users have to reset their IE settings.

Is there a way we can prevent this from happening to our clients?
Thanks,
Mike

Hello everyone registered myself here after reading some threads on similar issues as in the subject i have a desktop pls permission: of a suggest seeking Continuous workaround and a laptop both on Win Continuous seeking of permission: pls suggest a workaround for both i log in using my MS-account credentials have recently installed the OS on the laptop while the desktop has had since quite some time now the issue in the subject is only with the laptop there are partitions to my drive on the laptop the OS being on the first one the traditional 'C' drive the next drive or 'D' i use for installing auxiliary softwares and games the other are used for multimedia and downloads while installing this OS on the laptop from the Win set-up screen i had just deleted and formatted the C drive while kept the others as it is so as to take a back-up Continuous seeking of permission: pls suggest a workaround of the data in the other partitions after the installation and then format them anew from inside the OS itself i understand that this leads to the 'permission'-mania of the OS now what happens is A regarding D-drive Continuous seeking of permission: pls suggest a workaround - whenever i have to cut copy paste delete anything i get asked to provide admin-rights permission to execute the action i have to click 'yes' everytime and then the operation executes - have used whatever methods i could read like going into safe-mode and using the 'takeown' command as well as using utilities like 'TakeOwnership both showing returning with 'success' to no avail B regarding other partitions including C - usual operations of copy-delete etc work well but if am copying something from an ext HDD to one of these or all then again the same prompts for providing permission i log in as the admin please suggest doing what can relieve me of this nagging issue let me know if you need any more details TIA

Windows 8.1 and IE11 and I have both messages except on Facebook/games. I click on whichever message comes up which makes no difference. Eventually there is a response but there have been times when I've given up.

Tried a variety of actions, none of which work. Uninstalled Flash Player in IE add ons, games wouldn't play so reinstalled. Informed that I needed to upgrade Flash Player, tried, told that I already had it? Then told I didn't need it?

Script error boxes in IE already ticked. Unticked. No difference. So ticked again.
Tried SFC/SCANNOW to see if there was a systems problem, message received was There is a system repair pending which requires reboot etc. Restart Windows and run SFC again. Did that 3 times. Nothing.

Just don't know what to do next Any ideas?

Partial workaround for Bugcheck code x in module nvlddmkm sys VIDEO TDR ERROR As many other people I too faced this problem after upgrading my desktop system to Windows Did some research and testing now I'd like to share my knowledge In general according to the web resources the problem is bound mostly to GeForce cards utilized under Windows and manifests itself under two completely different conditions - under heavy load esp playing games or under lightweight or no load for example web browsing Fortunately I have no experience with the first case my system is rock stable under load FarCry Stalker Clear Sky On the other hand Bugcheck module in for nvlddmkm.sys, 0x116 Partial workaround VI code: it sometimes restarted itself without an evident cause mostly not being used at all At this point I started experimenting here are my observations The problem IS hardware-dependent My notebook equipped with GeForce adapter too does not exhibit this behavior The problem IS OS-dependent Tested W and W using the same W drivers with completely different Partial workaround for Bugcheck code: 0x116 in module nvlddmkm.sys, VI results The problem IS NOT dependent on graphic driver version number Tested many versions of drivers with consistent results Furthermore I identified two conditions which may initiate the problem while my computer goes into sleep state or while it finishes time-consuming operation - for example copying GB file in FreeCommander Both conditions are related to the power saving mechanisms of PCs Finally I discover all settings needed to make my system as stable as it used to be for years while using Windows Here they are Power Options - Plan - set Put the computer to sleep to Never Power Options - Choose what the power button does - uncheck Show Sleep in Power menu Power Options - Advanced Settings - set PCI Express Link State PM to Disabled - set USB selective suspend to Disabled for Classic Shell installed only Classic Start Menu - Settings - fill Shutdown Menu Items with options quot switch user logoff lock restart hibernate quot excluding Sleep There is no need to disable power saving for processor the problem is bound to PCI Express bus and devices Also hibernation can be used without problems Tested on my desktop only I cannot guarantee success for other systems but you may give it a try This workaround is suboptimal for notebooks too I am aware of it But I think a stable system is still more important than longer battery life In my opinion the problem isn't caused by neither bad graphic driver nor faulty hardware it lays in interaction between hardware motherboard graphic card OS and drivers while servicing power savings It only manifests itself in graphic driver nvlddmkm sys and only under Windows the same driver itself works ok in older OS To find a culprit we have to look at the way how the new OS manages entering exiting power states on some motherboards and graphic cards Resolving it is job for Microsoft guys i'm afraid --------------------------------------------- Conclusion If you encounter x errors while your computer is becomes lazy at first you may try to completely disable all power saving options instead of fiddling with drivers

Neverending story...

After two weeks of enjoying rock-stable Windows 10 system, I decided to install Windows Server trial onto another disk. Then I rebooted into Windows 10 and... error 0x116 /or black screen/ is back. So I made restore from the image of stable Window 10 system - no luck. Tried all workarounds found here and elsewhere - still the same problem.

So let's analyze what was happened:
1. System Win10 is fully stable
- disk image created
2. Parallel OS installation
- independent, on another disk, hardware unchanged, no change of BIOS settings
3. System Win10 is unstable
- even if restored from good image.

The only thing that might cause this inconsistence is change of ACPI Config, probably done by Windows Server setup program. (ACPI includes power management and resource allocation for hardware components.) Unfortunately, my BIOS prevents changes in resource allocation. So I will study how to modify ACPI for working configuration, meanwhile I have to live with generic VGA driver instead of GeForce one. It is stable of course, but not useful for gaming and playing videos.

Is somebody here who has real knowledge in ACPI modding? I appreciate any help.

As the title say, is there any workaround to avoid creating 4 different partitions during a clean install of Windows 10?
Here is a sample of what I mean:

[img=http://s3.postimg.org/z5xv300xb/IMG_20151223_214201226.jpg]

I think one is necessary and unavoidable (the MSR one), but the other ones should be used for optional services that you may not require, like restore etc.
I couldn't find a work around yesterday and in the end I gave up and accepted those 4 partitions...

A:4 Partions created during clean install - any workaround?

That's completely normal and all needed.

450MB is the recovery partition containing a set of tools to trouble shoot windows100MB contains boot code. Without it, Windows won't boot16MB is Microsoft Reserved (MSR)C: Drive

Hi, had previously free upgraded win7 to 10....I then cloned that drive to a larger drive....my motherboard recently fried so upgraded that, now my windows 10 is not activated

my question is, if I were to reinstall 7 on the original smaller drive then upgrade again to 10 would I have it activated on my larger main drive when plugged back in

A:Windows 10 activation workaround?

This depends on you original licence status.

If your original windows 7 licence was oem (mostly preinstalled when you bought pc), then that licence dies with old mobo and you require a new licence. You could try what you are suggesting, but it probably won't work. You could ask MS to help, if mobo is a like for like replacement.

If your original 7 key was retail, you can use it to activate windows 10 on new drive if running new version 10586 (open a command box and top line will say 10240 (old version) or 10586 (new version). If old version, it is better to clean install 10586 on new drive.

Note: sometimes you have to reinstall old os and get it activated, in which case, your idea of using smaller disk to install 7, and get it activated (using telephone activation if necessary) is a good idea. Then if version of 10 on new hdd is is 10586, then you can activate it using 7 key, and do not need to go through hassle of upgrading and cloning.

A:"recover webpage" when using IE 11

This message will only occur if IE was forced close or crashes.

If you are closing IE normally and still see the message, then perform a complete reset of IE in the IE options tab.

Make sure to backup your favorites folder. Resetting IE to factory settings should NOT remove the folder, however, a recent bug sometimes allows it to do so.

I have a Windows 7 machine with IE11. It will display yahoo.com as if can not load any images on the page.
I have reset IE back to defaults and does not fix the issue. Other web browsers display this site correctly.
I have uninstalled IE 11 and by doing so the version of IE defaulted to IE 8 which showed the same symptoms. This seems to trail to any subdomains such as search.yahoo and mail.yahoo.

Can I make the Task Scheduler keep my computer awake somehow by executing a keypress every 10 minutes? I use a gov computer and it automatically puts my computer asleep about every 15 minutes and it drives me nuts! How can I make it stay awake?

Admin privileges have been taken away so I can't change the power scheme. I used to be able to do this with an Excel macro but I just got a new computer and now I do not have developer access in excel so I am trying to find another workaround.

Thanks, Joe

A:I need a workaround to keep computer awake

That is a policy put in place by the Government IT and you should not be trying to circumvent it. If the settings do not work for you you need to contact your IT and see if it is possible to adjust it but for security reasons that may be a firm policy. And as such we refuse to assist with government/corporate owned computers.

There is a website that users login in to resolve remote issues,
The Login screen appears, they login. All is Fine.
They Logoof the Website.
Try to Login Again and just get a white screen.
I determined the issue is caused by a cookie the website drops into IE Temporary Folder.
As I delete that cookie and the login screen again appears and they can login, but process repeats when they logout.
I searched the Internet and found the following batch file that will delete all cookies....
@echo off
set Cookies=C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\
del /q /s /f "%Cookies%"

How do I change it to just delete 1 Cookie?
The cookie would be:

Is there a way to stop Windows update from installing driver updates in Windows 10 HOME?

Today I was working on some audio rendering on my laptop and the PC started freezing with multiple TDR errors - right in the middle of the job.
Windows had updated my graphics driver and a restart was necessary to get back functionality. All was fine afterward, but I lost my work and had to redo it.

This is INSANE!

I had forgotten to disable Windows Update in Services, so OK - my fault. But still, how can this be a good idea?
I'm checking here to see if anyone has come up with a third party solution yet.

At the least I'd like to add my 2 cents to the list of people complaining to Microsoft about this. What is the most effective way to contact them?

Thanks.

Every since going to IE11 ( and a handful of people complaining about it on a much smaller scale on IE9) our users have been complaining about webpages not wanting to open and getting the error ribbon across the bottom of the browser.  The error states
"msn.com (or whatever the domain is) is not responding."  Then we get a recover webpage button.  Does anyone know what is causing this?  I've tried compatibility view, enterprise mode, resetting IE to defaults, running IE with no-addons,
etc and nothing works and its driving me nuts.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

not sure how or why my current system SSD is dynamic, but the fact that it is is keeping me from cloning to a different SSD in preparation to migrate to a different box.

Acronis True Image 2016 will not clone dynamic disk and does not seem to be able to make it a simple volume.

I have not been able to find any satisfactory solution yet, maybe someone in here can point the way to one.

A:Clone a dynamic system disk? Acronis cannot. Workaround? other way?

Hi, this may help, assuming you actually want a basic type of disk rather than one used for RAID or spanning multiple volumes:

You might have noticed that the old 'Add Legacy Hardware' option seems to be missing. I tend to use this quite a bit whenever I need to add in a Loopback adapter or some piece of hardware that is not quite installing correctly.
