I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

My Ideapad S415 touch screen has suddenly stopped working.  I've had a tech connect to my PC and try a BIOS reload of default settings, plus unistalling all "HID" devices in Device Manager with no resolution.  I've also tried a system restore with no luck. The system properties does see the touch capability. Suggestions? Thanks.

A:Ideapad S415 Touch - touch screen stopped working

hi Hersh,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

First do a Power Drain
     (If the battery is removable)
Remove AC and Battery and hold the power button down for 15 sec.
Turn the computer back on and see if the Touch capability is now detected under System Properties,
                  If not
I suggest you contact Lenovo Technical Team about the Issue as this may be a device detection issue.

Hello everyone, my touch screen on my lenovo ideapad z400 touch is not working anymore.  The only weird thing I remember is some ghost touchpoint on my screen. I've been looking for the answer to this issue, but it seems that Lenovo does not address this problem.  If someone has found the solution to this problem and wants to share it with me, I will be forever grateful.

A:Lenovo S210 Touch broken LCD and Touch screen

Hi Magnutus, welcome to the forums.

Please check if you Lenovo S210 is on warranty under with this tool.
After that you can open a ticket with Lenovo for the screen to be fixed, if it is not under warranty it will have a cost.

If you are the guys that like to fix it yourself (and it is not under warranty) I can recommend you to check the support site for your model, read the Hardware Maintenance Manual (on the documents area) and check how the machine is organized on the inside. On the parts lookup page you can find the parts number so you can find a replacements for the component that is giving you issues.

I hope this links helps you.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but this post piqued my interest. I use the Logitech 620 touch mouse on a Windows 7 box at work. I find a little touchy and has to tweaked. Hi, I've recently formatted my Laptop HP Envy m7-n101dx (touch) and installed Win7  Ultimate (64 bit).  I have downloaded all drivers available on HP website and installed on my laptop.  There is only one unknown device left (acpi\msft010), and I'm unable to to find the correct driver.  My problem is I'm unable to use the touch screen of the laptop, I've googling and found that is there must be a problem with with the Human Interface Device, but when I've checked the Device Manager no Human Interface Device is on the list.  Please could anyone help me out.  Thanks in advance

Hello @JeffJadoo, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! The Forums are a great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community! I understand that you are having an issue with the Touch Screen, and wanted to assist you! Did the notebook originally ship with Windows 10?  How did you go about formatting the notebook, and installing Windows 7?  You may be able to use the Recovery Manager to restore the drivers, however, based on how you installed Windows, the Recovery Partition may already be removed.  You can also try reviewing the following document, to see if the information helps: HP Notebook PCs - Touch Screen Issues (Windows 8) Please post back with the results.  It is possible that the Touch Screen may not be supported for Windows 7 on that particular notebook. Please let me know if this information helps you resolve the issue by marking this post as "Accept as Solution", this will help others easily find the information they may be looking for.  Also, clicking the Thumbs up below is a great way to say thanks! Have a great day!

Hi keerati,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Check the Touch funtionality in OKR environment.
Turn off the computer and Turn it back on and right away start tapping F2.
Select Recovery. Once in the Recovery screen Test the touchscreen by touching any of the option if it will respond.

If the touchscreen works in OKR Environment, I suggest you perform a One key recovery (expect dataloss).

If the touchscreen still did not work in OKR Environment, I suggest you call Lenovo Technical Team for assistance.

I have a kiosk on which I've just installed 8.1 pro. It has an oem touch screen manufactured by General touch (p/n st6001u). I've installed the driver and it seems to work but Windows still says "no pen or touch available". My customers using the
kiosk will need to type on screen in addition to just clicking. Is there any way to for the OS into touch mode? I believe under 7 there was an option in Windows features but I can't seem to find anything on 8. Google has been no help.
Any ideas?

So I have got a Lenovo Y50-70 with 15.6" 3840x2160 UHD Touch Display for about two years now. I've accidentaly dropped my backpack, while the laptop was in it and cracked it's screen so I need to replace it. The screen in the cracked part is working as it was working before the accident, the crack is on the glass. So I was wondering if I can replace my 15.6" 3840x2160 UHD Touch Display with a 15.6" 1920x1080 FHD Non-touch Display? Is it possible?I've read that whether screen you are changing, its working depends on the quantity of pins on the Video signal connector.

Hope that it is just drivers but what you do is to unzip the driver package into a temporary directory. When the touchscreen is working Right click on START (long press) and go to Device Manager>Human Interface Devices>HID compliant touch screen Click/touch Driver/update driver then select "Browse...on your computer, point to the temorary directory with the new driver and press NEXT. If it is a newer driver it will load it.

I've had my laptop for 3 weeks and my touch screen has stopped working.  I've read all posts I can find on this and reset my computer to factory out of the box.
Having read the posts I tried the Windows hot fix for the issue and it said it didn't apply.  I'm going crazy and ready to give up on this and return my laptop.  I would really like to fix this and move on.  I noticed in the Human Interface drives I have multiple drivers that are the same and I do not see a driver for the touch screen.

I just got the HP Spectre in the mail today and the touch screen already isn't working. I was in setting to see if I could figure it out and accidentally turned the TouchPad off, so now I can't do anything on my screen.

A:HP Spectre x2 touch screen not working

Hi @emmab1141, Welcome to HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help. I understand that the touch screen does not work, and the touch pad was accidentally turned off. On some touchpads you can turn on or off the TouchPad by double tapping in the upper left corner of the TouchPad. Double tap to turn the TouchPad on, repeat to turn the TouchPad off. If this does not work,  do you have an external connected Mouse such as a USB mouse? You may need to use the exrenal mouse to enable the touch pad first.HP Notebook PCs - Using the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 10) Then check if the touch sceen is enbled in device manager:HP PCs - Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues (Windows 10, 8) Let me know how it goes. If this helps you to reach a solution, please click the "Accept as Solution" button down below in this message. My X1 Yoga's touch screen is not being detected by Windows. I tried running the Wacom firmware update tools suggested by other threads but they don't work -- the log file just says "No device". Neither finger touch nor pen work at all. I updated the bios and system interface foundation, didn't help. See attached picture for device manager. Any suggestions? Thanks!

My Surface RT touch screen stopped working. I have done everything I can find on the internet trying to fix it from cleaning the screen with a microfiber cloth to blowing it away and re-installing everything.
The Windows button on the screen responds with the tactile vibrate, but the screen itself is not functioning as a touch screen. Any ideas?

A:s400 touch screen not working

Hi monjan10,

I have the same problem too for almost two years and I found the solution just this March 20. Install the LCD Firmware in your machine. You can use this tutorial to guide you through the process. If the LCD frimware link dows not work, you can download it [unverified link removed]. It worked for me and it only took a one-time installation. I've reset my laptop to go back to Windows 8 but unfortunately, I was coerced again to update to Windows 8.1 however, it did not screw up my touchscreen.

Let us know if problems persists.

Hi, I have recently (Dec 2015) purchased a Yoga 11e. The touch screen function has stopped working. Both Windows 10 and Lenovo Support apps say that all updates are in place. I suspect that a Windows update (~31 Jan 2016) might be the fault - could be wrong. Any ideas? Thanks. ps: I tad annoying the the "worlds biggest computer company" (or similar publicity claim) does not have a 24/7 web chat support function

A:Yoga 11e Touch Screen not working

I had the same problem.  After performing a clean-install of Windows 10 Pro (Did not like all that blotware that Lenovo puts in these systems) and "thinking" that I had installed all drivers, I found that touchscreen did not work.  I solved it by RE-installing the i2c drivers (downloaded from Yoga 11e support page).  It was confusing because there was nothing in Device Manager that indicated any drivers were missing, plus when I ran the .exe file for the i2c drivers all it did was "extract" the files, but it did not install anything! So here is how I went about it:  Opened device manager, clicked on "system devices" to locate the i2c device.  I looked for anything with "i2c" in it, and saw 2 entries: "Intel Atom Celeron Pentium Processor............i2c........[etc, etc]".  I went ahead and manually installed the drivers: right-clicked the item, clidked "update driver software", clidked "browse my computer for driver software", and navigated to where the driver files had been extracted to-as explained above.  After the drivers were installed successfully, the names of the devices changed to "i2c controller".  Rebooted the computer and VOILA! The touch screen worked again! Opened "control panel", "system" and there it said: "Touch Support With 10 Touch Points"

Hello, I recently upgraded the mechanical hard drive that came with my Yoga 11E to an ssd. I ran Lenovo system update and then Windows Update. But the touchscreen is not working. Under device manager there are a few exclamation points. Under Human Interface Devices there are 2 entries for I2C HID both have a warning. I tried to update them but it says they driver is update and the exclamation point remains. I am not sure if this is the reason why my touch screen is not working but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

A:Yoga 11E Touch Screen Not Working

I am having the same problem. After reimaging, touch screen is not responding. I too checked device manager and found there are 2 human interface device drivers with exclamation points, named I2c HID. A search found Intel device drivers on Lenovo support site and  I downloaded and installed the drivers (n15hc03w.exe). The status of the drivers on device manager did not change. I tried to update these drivers and pointed to the local folder drivers\win\I2C onbut got a message saying "drivers for device are up to date' . Tried 'scan for hardware' still no change to these Human Interface Device. Any ideas?

When I purchased this device less than 2 months ago it was then loaded with Windows 8.1 64 bit. I was then offered to upgrade to Windows 10 64 bit. Since the upgrade the touchscreen will not work. I have tried all of the recomended troubleshooting on your site. I have also made sure that all drivers as well as the os is up to date. Please fix. The reason that I purchased this all in one device was because of the touch screen.

My touch screen is not available on my 2710.  It worked fine for a very long time.
Calibration is not available...System->About says "No pen or touch input is available for this display."
I noticed after I upgraded to Windows 10.   (but that's not necessarily the precise time is dropped out, as I don't use it a lot)
I then downgraded back to 8.   Not there.   Figured that I might as well go back to Windows 10.
I did other things within same rough period of time.   BIOS upgraded to A12.   Changed out some drivers, etc.
I've tried drivers, checked the touch cable connection on the motherboard...but haven't made a single step forward.
Would love to hear some suggestions or ideas.
Thanks in advance.
Rick

From Win-X menu, open Device Manager and search for Human Interface Devices. Expand the HID list
Right-click HID-compliant touch screen and from the list of options displayed,  make sure it's set to Enabled. Then reboot.
Note that Dell hasn't tested the 2710 for support of Win 10, but touch should work in Win 8.1

My touch screen stopped working about a year after I bought this computer. Right before it stopped working completely random items started opening on the computer as if there was a phantom clicking on things. I thought it was a virus but none was ever found by many anti-virus scans and nothing else in the computer was harmed. I'm leaning more to thinking that it is a hardware issue. Any help is apprecaited!  Thanks!

Hi,    I have a HP Pavilion 23" All-in-One TouchSmart Desktop Computer and yesterday the touch screen stopped working in an area that spans from top right to mid bottom a good 4 inches wide.  I would really appreciate if you can help me with this questions: 1. Is there anything non-hardware related that I can do to fix it?2. In your opinion which component failed? the digitizer? 3. Can you provide the part number and where to buy it if applies? From my initial research, HP keeps what I ask pretty well guarded. Obviously I don't mind going hands on with the repair. Thank you for your help!

Hi @natalia1818, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I read from your posts that you are having an issue with your HP Pavilion 11x360 PC Notebook and the Touchscreen not working correctly. You might need to check that the Touchscreen is enabled on the Notebook. Here is a listing on how to do that: Press the Windows logo key + X.Select Device Manager from the list.Click the little arrow next to Human Interface Devices to expand the list.Click the touch screen driverRight-click, and select enable from the list.Confirm you want to enable. You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook. I suggest at least 4 days ago as it will make sure to catch what changed the settings. When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices as they can cause issues. Please let me know how this goes. If this post helps you to resolve the issue you can click the Thumbs up icon to show gratitude! Thanks.

Hi, Since installing Windows 10, I am unable to use any functions of the touch screen.  I had a lot of trouble with the mouse pad not deactivating with the button (as I use a plug in mouse most of the time) but I managed to sort that by uninstalling the driver and reinstalling direct from Lenovo. However, the touch screen is making me come to my wits end.  I just cannot for the life of me sort it.  Windows tell me that "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this display" Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

A:M5400 Touch screen is not working.

Hi Martin,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

- Press Windows + X.
- Select Device Manager.
- Find the Touchscreen driver under Mice and Other Pointing Devices>USB Touchscreen Controller (A111).  You're going to uninstall this and check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device".  Don't worry, it won't blow up your computer.
- Restart your computer.
- Re-open the Device Manager, and confirm that the Touchscreen is now listed under Human Interface Devices.  Your issue should be resolved!

I hope the above information helps.

Regards,
Shashi

Just got this new B50-30 AIO a few days ago.  Ive set it up and then ran the upgrade to Win 10.  I now find that the touch screen does not work.  Unfortunately I dont know whether it worked before the upgrade.  What I see is that device manager does not list an 'HID Compliant Touch Screen'  in Human Interface devices.  My other AIO does list this type of device (and its touch screen works fine).  So it seems that Win 10 is not recognizing the touch screen and thus not loading the device driver.  Suggestions??

I have a Yoga 11e and recently installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise on the device.  After installation the touch screen was no longer functoning at all.  I have downloaded every Chipset, Mouse and Key Board, Software and Utility driver found on the Lenavo website.  When i go to the device manager under Human Interface Devices I have two yellow triangles for I2C Device and when I click on Proerties they both tell me " This device is currently waiting on another device or set of devices to start. (Code 51)". I have installed the GPIO drvier from the lenavo website as per other posting about non-functioning touch screens.  This has not repaired the problem.  I need some assistance or a driver for the touchscreen.

I have a POS system with a DigiPos 714A Touchscreen monitor and I don't know where or what drivers to install to use the touch screen. I cant find anywhere online whether I need a single touch driver, multi touch, or whatever other type. The POS system is running on a windows PC running Windows XP 32-bit and the screen has a ps/2 port and of course the usual VGA connectors. Help needed as screen is used for a business.

My touch screen stopped working about 2 days ago. The computer is updated, I ran the HP support and nothing happened. I ran also 2 tests, those that you can enter using F2. Everything seemed to be fine but it simply doesn't work, no matter if it is in PC or tablet mode. The result is the same.

I own a Fujitsu TH Tablet PC It initially ran Windows and everything was working really well on it but then I upgraded to Windows I was curious and some features just have not worked properly since The one problem that I have been unable to fix is the touch screen When the computer is in its quot laptop position quot see image the touch screen works just fine However when I rotate the screen and click it into the quot tablet position quot the touch screen becomes completely unresponsive When I lift the lid again into the quot laptop position quot the screen remains unresponsive until I put the computer to sleep and wake it up again After that it works PC Screen Tablet Touch Working Not Correctly completely fine When the laptop screen is turned and clicked into the quot tablet position quot there is a programming shift that happens to turn the laptop into quot tablet mode quot this is not the same as Windows tablet mode In-fact Windows tablet mode doesn t Tablet PC Touch Screen Not Working Correctly recognize me turning the screen Tablet PC Touch Screen Not Working Correctly and clicking it into the quot tablet position quot I m not sure what the differences are between the TH s laptop mode and tablet mode The Tablet PC Touch Screen Not Working Correctly only thing I can see is that the screen auto rotates as shown in the image This malfunction started occurring soon after I downloaded Windows but I m fairly sure it was working properly for a week or so It was only when I connected my TH in the quot tablet position quot into an external projector that the touch screen stopped working So I have no clue if this is related to the Windows upgrade or not though I never had a problem connecting to projectors with Windows I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the relevant Human Interface Devices drivers in the Device Manager which did not work I also went to the Fujitsu website and updated all the drivers for my computer which also did not fix the problem I m sure it would be very helpful to know what shifts actually take place on the programming end when I turn the screen and click it into the quot tablet position quot but I don t know how to find that information Any help is appreciated Thanks nbsp

On my Asus R2H I have build 7057 installed.

Every now and then (I haven't pin pointed if it is a specific event that triggers is) my touch screen stops working as touch screen. It does everything, it only doesn't respond to touch.
If I restart, put the machine to standby, shut down and start it again everything is fine again.

I have no clue what might have been changed recently!

Does somebody recognize this?

A:Asus R2H touch screen stops working

Check to see if the touch device is set to allow Windows to turn it off to save power (a usual setting for things like USB slots, NICs, etc.)

Hello; I purchased 2 Flex 3 laptops a few weeks ago.  One of them had an intermittent touchscreen problem.  It boiled down to a USB driver issue.  In the Device Manager under USB Controllers I got a yellow Triangle with an exclamation next to "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)".  If I disabled and then enabled that driver the touchscreen would start working.  I ended up returning that laptop thinking it was just a faulty unit, but today my 2nd Flex 3 did the same thing.  As far as I know all my drivers are updated an I'm running Windows 10. I don't really want to have to disable and enable drivers every other day so I'm wondering if anyone has come across this issue and if so if there is a fix. Attached is a screenshot of the Device Manager.

A:Touch screen not working after update to windows 10

Go to the manufacturer of your system and download the video card drivers for your device. Windows supports touch screens, but it can't do it without the drivers for the touch screen.

I have had this problem for a couple of weeks.  I have researched and have done ALL the suggestions offered, including reinstalling Windows 10.  I have used HP Support Assistance to make sure all of the updates have been installed.   So far, nothing.    However lately I have also started having trouble with the mouse and the touch pad.  I can move the pointer but punching the mouse button, the enter key or the touch pad has no effect.  I have to go into another screen and them back to the one having problems.   Thanks

Hello! Just recently (within the last week or so) my touch screen has been acting up. I can sometimes click on things - such as switched between tabs. But sometimes when I click it will highlight a word on the screen instead of taking me to the link I'd like. On top of that, I'm completely unable to scroll using my touch screen. I have to use the mouse pad or the arrows on the keyboard. I'm still able to use the mousepad for everything so it isn't like the laptop doesn't function, but it's irritating that I can't use the tablet mode. I bought this model so I could use it in both laptop and tablet mode. I'd really appreciate it if someone helped me solve this issue.
