I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Greetings all. I recently sold my Nvidia Quadro FX4000 256MB AGP graphics card on Ebay to a guy in Germany (I am in UK). Used the standard Ebay description tool which displayed it as PNY NVidia Quadro FX4000 256mb AGP card.

My question is: are there 2 varients of this card ie Nvidia and PNY? The guy is stating that I have sent him an Nvidia Card as opposed to a PNY card and is requesting a refund.

I sold the card in good faith (using the Ebay description tool) thinking that there was only one varient and the picture I took is exactly like the PNY varient too so I thought I was selling one in the same?

I would appreciate your views guys. I think maybe this guy is trying it on?

Many thanks.

I've read Quadro's are stable and highly recommended for CAD, etc workstations (not for gaming) and gaming cards are obviously better for gaming. I am looking to setup two separate dual output video cards in a new machine. It will be used primarily for streaming real time financial info/web surfing (no CAD nor any 3D modeling) with a secondary use of gaming (not important for me to run top games at top resolutions-average is fine). Should I look at getting Quadros or game cards. I am leaning toward the game cards like Nvidia 8600GT, etc as they are lower price and seems like if they can run games fast/no problem-why wouldn't they easily be able to handle business applications? Quadros seem to cost more and can mainly only be used for business apps?

A:Nvidia Quadro vs Nvidia gaming cards

Quadros are for Digital Content Creation and CAD purposes mainly. For you, a pair of 8600GTs would be fine.

I bought a PCI-Express graphics card off eBay because the seller said it was a PCI graphics card. Well, it was only $20 so shipping it back probably would not be worth it. I wanted to put this in my old desktop to make it a bit more useful, but it has AGP, and PCI, not PCI-Express.

I don't see how it could be at all useful to put into my new desktop, as this is a 128 MB graphics card... it does have dual DVI ports though.

I think this is a windows seven configuration problem as in a previous post where someone wanted to run 2 displays from 1 card in PCI-e and 1 from a pci slot. Yet would get an error 10 message pci bridge to pci bridge. Yet he could run this setup in XP. My first thought for you is to load the display driver that is showing the PnP display, as well as the drivers for the other 2 displays. but if the graphics chips are not compatible your going to have issues. onboard VGA chip verus Quadro chip displaying at different refresh rates and resolutions. Of course with the new ATI Hd 5870 you can run 3 displays from 1 card 2 dvi and 1 hdmi, all for around 380.00. Anyway at this time I don't think windows seven from all the articals I researched for the other thread is capabel of these kind of 3 display configurations. The new Quadro CX card has been designed to deliver 192 CUDA parallel processor cores, a total of 1.5GB of GDDR3 memory with 384-bit memory interface. The memory bandwidth is specified at 76.8GB/s and, as you might expect from such a monster of a card, it comes with some hefty power requirements for a maximum of 150W. The card itself is equipped with a dual-slot cooling system, and provides just one dual link DVI port. Additional specifications include support for NVIDIA's SLI and CUDA technologies, as well as for DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0.

A:SSD Trim support driver solution ESB2 xw workstations

I have been preparing a number of W7Pro64 HP xw workstations by running the W10Pro64 activation procedure, and came across the fact that the standard W10Pro64 install places older Storage Controller drivers into the install that have been found previously in W7Pro64 installs to "support" TRIM but to not have automatic OS-controlled regular SSD TRIM functionality enabled.  It has, instead, been "disabled". It is one thing to run TRIM manually once a month, but you truly should have the OS taking care of that task, and not forgetting. For those HP workstations that use the ESB2 storage controller chipset and BIOS SATA emulation set to "RAID + AHCI" or "RAID" if that other option is not available (the same driver install results, regardless) this is an issue.  I have not investigated up into the ZX00 or ZX20/ZX40 generations yet because they use other chipsets and drivers for this task.  The ESB2 chipset workstations include the xw6400, xw8400, xw6600, xw8600, plus a bunch more not from HP. The W10Pro64 install results in the ESB2 driver installed automatically being with driver date 8/10/10.  When probed with Hard Disk Sentinel the program detects that SSD TRIM is supported but not enabled: After updating the driver to the more recent version, dated 9/13/10,  the TRIM functionality for the operating system was both supported and enabled:  I have found Hard Disk Sentinel a valuable tool, but somewhat intrusive, so I only install it for such experiments, and then uninstall. So, the take home message is the same for these workstations running W10Pro64 as it was when they are running under W7Pro64 (see the posts above, from 1/16).  Update to the version of the ESB2 Storage Controller driver if you want your SSD to be automatically triggered by W10 for TRIM cleanup regularily.  Who remembers to do that manually?

-Updated Windows after installing Windows
-Installed the correct/most recent drivers
-Disabled Desktop Window Management Session Manager

Download this driver ->

When you extract it you will find a zip archive called:
Inside this archive extract the file called: nvlt.inf

Put it with the rest of the files you extracted from the .exe file.

The driver is not digitally signed, but you will at least get your videocard working

Were you using onboard before? If so, you need to enable discrete GPUs or disable on-board video in the BIOS of the computer. Then it should work. If not, check for any power plugs that have come undone and if that still doesn't work, the card is most likely dead.

Hi I m trying to decide which graphics card to get for our new office computers We ve always used NVIDIA s Quadro line in the past and those have worked very well because NVIDIA provides drivers specifically designed for use with AutoCAD we do both D amp D Now ATI has drivers out designed to work with AutoCAD and the V card supports up to three quot monitors while the only supports two It would be really nice to have that third monitor without having to add another GPU but I m hesitant because I don t know how the drivers Solved: 600 or V4800? After fitting a Nvidia NVS 295 card into my new Advent computer (Foxconn mobo, i5, 8GB RAM) my DELL ULTRASHARP U2711 will not display at its maximum 2560 x1400 res. I can only get 1920. In fact 1920 is the highest selectable in the Nvidia control panel. I let the Nvidia installer set up everything without removing the onboard AVG driver first - I assume it did this automatically? I am using the DVI cable that came with the Dell. What am I doing wrong? I have used the latest Windows7 64bit driver download from Nvidia website.

A:Cant get full 2560 resolution from Nvidia Quadro NVS 295

States here to use 2560 x 1400 you need to use display port.
DisplayPort to DVI-D (Single Link)

industry standard cables can be used to
drive digital displays at resolutions up to
1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz
Your monitor has a display port connector. To utilise full resolution you need that.

Is there any way to disable the Quadro 4000m gpu without booting into safe mode? The option to disable it appears in the device manager only when I boot into safe mode. Since I have to disable/re-enable the gpu often, I would much prefer it if I could do it without having to reboot. The system is Elitebook 8760w running Windows 10 x64. I have tried a number of drivers both from HP and Nvidia sites. I have also tried installing only the graphics driver. The result remains the same. No option to disable the GPU in normal mode. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have a dell precision M3800 laptop with the NVIDIA Quadro K1100M graphics card.  It should support 4k @ 60hz but I am only able to get 30hz on an external monitor.  The external monitor is the Sony XBR49x830c which supports 4k @ 60hz 4:4:4.  I am using display port to HDMI 2.0 adapter and this set up works with another laptop so it's not the cables/adapter.
I have the latest drivers for everything, is this graphics card not capable of 4k @60hz?  4k @ 60hz works on the laptop screen so why would it not work for an external display?

I've had occasional BSOD while playing games or running graphics intensive applications (SolidWorks, etc) with my previous AMD graphics card, so I thought I'd try an nVidia instead. I put a Quadro K2000 this morning and now my computer is crashing hourly. The culprit is reported as nvlddmkm.sys for what that's worth.

I believe I have all the latest Windows 8.1 updates and I tried two versions of the nVidia driver, the version "certified" for SolidWorks and now the latest one (340.84).

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Guys,

Im new here so sorry if this message is unclear.

I am working with a confocal miscroscope connected to a PC. Recently the very old graphics card on it blew and I have had a very hard time finding a replacement. I have ordered two direct replacements and each time they have sent a mis-labeled card. From this i gather its very difficult to obtain new nVIDIA Quadro 4 980xgl cards.

I was wondering if there is an alternative card i could use. I think im not bad with computers however my hardware knowledge is lacking. Unfortunatly the comptuer is currently in use (running a 5 hour experiment i do not wish to interup) so i cannot give you the computer hardware details. If this is required I can post later.

It is for a two monitor set up (currently running on only one). If you need any other details, please ask.

Many Thanks for your help

You may have to try eBay to find a replacement, you can still pick up the same card there:

A:nVidia Quadro 6000 Video BIOS Update

No response after a week. To be expected; this is a rare issue, by the looks of it.

I've tried the HP update at this point, via cmd, which simply said "no adapters found that were compatible with this update." Won't do further tests with that, since I don't want to risk anything with the DOS method.
In the wake of the Dell community's help (that's sarcasm), I've been trying to contact people on the thread linked in my previous post - specifically, people who said they could send the update to those who asked for it - to see if they might still have it.

With reference to this thread:

I have a Quadro FX 3700M card on my workstation for various CAD programs.. I am searching for a way to perform a software or hardware modification so I can play games and run other programs requiring a GeForce card.
Is there any way to possibly run two non-similar graphics cards side by side, or task designated/sharing?
So I could actually run CAD software on the dedicated Quadro, while relying on an externally connected GeForce card for all other media, pics, music, games, etc?
Any other money saving solutions besides buying/building a desktop?
I?m on a 64bit Vista workstation (soon to be Windows 7 or Ubuntu w/ a Windows VirtualBox) 3GHz Intel Quad Core 2 with 4GB RAM from Xi Computers.

What are the main differences between a Nvidia Quadro type card (like NVIDIA Quadro FX 370 Video Card - 256MB GDDR2-$109) and the various dual output gaming cards out there (for instance the XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX Video Card 256MB DDR3-$89)? I am contemplating building a new system for stock trading. Nvidia Quadro are used in workstations I know of but gaming cards seem faster and cheaper for same price-I must be missing something? Can you split the outputs of the Nvidia Quadros (ie get 4monitors hooked up to one dual output card with 4 independent windows of streaming data 1each on each monitor?) Thanks in advance...

I have no problem using "expended desk top" mode. All windows programs run correctly and can be placed and viewed on either screen.
However attempting to run and view simulatenously a DOS application on one screen and a Win application on the other will only display properly if the DOS application is viewed in the "minimized" mode.
If the DOS application is maximized (Alt+Enter), it seems that my "expended desk top" mode switches to "clone mode". Monitor 1 and 2 now show the same full size DOS screen and this is the problem I would like to resolve.

Is this a hardware/software limitation or am I overlooking something in the set-up to acheive what I am trying to achieve? Any help will be appreciated.

A:NVIDIA Quadro display limitation, DOS & Windows applications

I do believe it is a limitation of the software/hardware. You will have to use that DOS command in a windowed mode. I can't really tell if it's MS or nVidia to blame for that "problem" but you can always try to contact nVidia & tell them about it.

Hi everyone
I already have 3 computers, don't play games but do adobe premiere video editing, no special effects, simple timeine and cut and titles.
I will now start to move around to give some lectures and maybe with video projection, so I'm thinking a lot about connectivity and battery life.
I might do some video editing as well.... so firewire is important but I can get it with a pci card I think.
I've found that devoted video card is better, but expensive.
I've found a second hand Dell 620 with a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M for around $500
would it be better than a new Lenovo / Dell with a Laptop Intel GMA X4500 card ???
Anew lenovo/Dell with devoted video card is around $1000
Do I need more power for my use?
And I'm looking for a widescreen model also

What do you think?

I bought an HP Envy 860-121 Desktop in April 2016 , and it came with the Nvidia 970GTX gaming card.I told the store from which I bought it, before I ordered it, that I do  not play games, but make a living drawing in graphics.I want to put a different Nvidia card in the computer, because I am not achieving needed finishes with the 970GTX. I found out from Nvidia, that I must have a Quadro Card for graphics, not a gaming card. I purchased on line an Nvidia Quadro 2000. I installed it, but the computer will not start and I get 3 long beeps then 3 short beeps. I have contacted HP to ask what video cards work in my motherboard and they tell me to call Nvidia. Nvidia says to call HP. Does anyone know where you can go to match your Motherboard with Video cards?

On restart the BIOS itself shows a corrupted image (half screen blue, half red) and some random characters. This only happens if I use the PC over 15 mins. Once it gets a chance to cool down, it goes back to normal working condition. My warranty expired around one month ago and ever since I am seeing this problem. Can someone suggest what could be going wrong.Thanks.

if already the bios sreen is garbled and if a cool system resolves the problem, it seems you have
a faulty Nvida GPU, it´s a G64 Chip in your gfx card and Nvdia´s G64 cannot cope
with normal heat. This problem is known by Nvidia.
I would call Lenovo and tell them your problem.

The M3800 supports 4K @ 60Hz with it's built in display but I can' t get 60Hz on this external display, is this a limitation of the graphics card or a driver issue?  I have the latest  drivers of everything though,

M6700 doesnot show anything on the screen.
here's what i did:
Installed windows 10 in UEFI enabled and Legacy ROM enabled.
After installation, Secure boot.
Blank Screen Now.
Tried reset by removing CMOS battery. no luck
Need Help.

A:Dell M6700 Nvidia Quadro K4000M No display After Secure Boot

So i managed to solve the problem.
There are issues with K4000m running in secure boot. You must not disable legacy boot rom.
If you have no display at all here is the painful solution:
Make sure you can open the notebook and put it back together again. (Use an anti-static band etc). remember the screw type and locations etc. refer to a manual or take it to a technician.
So, you will have top open up the whole laptop. remove the Graphics card, remove the screen connectors and connect the laptop to an external display via d-sub (VGA) port. You have a display now. Go to the BIOS and disable secure boot and enable Legacy boot ROM.
Put back the graphics card and everything is back in place.
Recommended BIOS: A15, Still dont use secure boot.
I think the K4000m did not have an EFI rom boot. So hence no display.
Hope it helps anyone having the same problem.

I searched the forums and the only posts involved the AMD card and I have an Nvidia card.  I couldn't find any information on the K4000M so I called tech support and they told me it was 2560x1600.  But then I found another forum where they said even the K1000M can do 4k.
I hooked up my 4k TV to the HDMI and used the Nvidia custom resolution to set up 3840x2160 at 30 hz and the display works.  The graphics look great, but the text is super fuzzy.  The TV supports 4K at 60Hz, but I'm not sure if the HDMI port on the back of my M6700 supports 60Hz.
Does the HDMI support 60Hz at 4k?  What about the display port?  Any idea why my text is super fuzzy while the graphics are razor sharp?

A:Precision M6700 Nvidia Quadro K4000M max resolution 4K monitor display port hdmi refresh rate

First, I'm going to refer you to this article from Nvidia discussing Ultra 4k Resolution.  The important statement is this:

The current HDMI 1.4 standard only has bandwidth for 4K at 30hz. HDMI 2.0 will add support for 4K at 60Hz. Details should become clearer in late 2013. There are a few TVs on sale today that support 4K @ 30Hz through HDMI.

Now, according to this review and article about the K4000m card specifications, it states that the card has HDMI 1.4 connections, which means it won't, theoretically, handle Ultra 4k resolution at the 60Hz bandwidth.
I also found this on documentation online about the Precision 6700.

The Precision™ M4700 & M6700 incorporates HDMI version 1.4. Features

So, unfortunately, it doesn't sound like that card will support the higher refresh rate needed.
As for Display port

DisplayPort cables are much simpler to define: There’s just one type! The current version, DisplayPort 1.2, delivers enough bandwidth to carry video resolutions of up to 3840 by 2160 pixels at a refresh rate of 60Hz

So Display Port would be a much better option for you, if available.
I hope this answers your questions.

I have Precision T3500 that came with NVidia Quadro FX580 display adapter.
I had issues installing the latest NVidia driver for this card on Windows 7 (the screen would just go blank) but it was working fine with the three years old driver recommended by Dell, and now I am trying to upgrade to Windows 10 and it would automatically install the latest Windows 10 driver for this card that would freeze the system after reboot...
On Dell's support web site it says that Windows 10 is not supported on my system.
Any suggestions how to make Windows 10 work on Precision T3500 with NVidia Quadro FX580?

The FX580 is an ancient vacccum tube card that is not suitable for AERO or Windows 7,8,10
It works with the original WDDM 1.0 Vista Drivers but it will not have WDDM 1.1 or 1.3 drivers.

or am I reading this the wrong way?

It appears to be saying the video card won't support DirectX 8 or 9. Any opinions will be appreciated.

A:nVidia MX 100/200 doesn't support DirectX above 7

That just means that it won't be able to use the special features of DX8 and 9...stuff like vertex shaders, pixel shaders, etc...I'm not sure which features are in which version, but you can install DX8 and 9 with a lower class card, and it will still work fine. It just doesn't have the instructions for the 8/9 built into the card, it only has instructions for 7 and below.

Hello Everyone,
I am new here, and i need help from senior members i want to buy a new graphic card for my PC. I have heard that it cant run latest Graphic cards which use DDR3 or DDR5 , also what is the relation of power supply wattage with graphic card???
My PC config is
Processor; Intel Core2Duo E7200 (2.53 Ghz)
MotherBoard: Intel DG31 PR
Ram: 2 GB DDR2
Graphic card: Nividia Geforce 9400 GT.

A:Can Intel DG 31 PR support Nvidia Geforce GTS 450 ???

Hello and welcome to the forums, Tarique!

From looking at your desktop's motherboard specifications that are listed on this site by Intel:-

Intel? Desktop Board DG31PR — Technical product specification for DG31PR

Your mother board has a PCI-E x 16 slot which should be able to support the GTS 450.

The only question that remains is whether your PSU (Power Supply Unit) can support the card; what is the wattage of your PSU?

Please check your PSU by opening up your PC's case and having a look at the side of the PSU for the manufacturer's sticker or something that would indicate its specifications.

Don't forget to fill up the rest of your specifications also by following this tutorial:-

I just recently played splinter cell chaos theory on PC, i have a 6800 GT overclocked to 420/1130 and when i have the game playing at shader 3.0 it is slow as hell and i am running this at 1024*768. I barely get 35 FPS, this also happened when i was playin chronicles of riddick which also supports shader 3.0 and my fps was even worse. I dont know if its my pc, software or the card. But if it is the card i dont get why nvidia will put the support for a technology that their current generation of video cards can not handle.

A:Shader 3.0 Support in Nvidia Cards.

it is not necessarily an issue with the shader model 3.0,do you have anything running in the background,do you have aa or af on?also it doesnt have to be the video cards fault for low fps count,it might be becuase of a weak or an unmatched processor to keep up or slower ram.shader model 3.0 is relatively new technology the fault doesnt have to be in the hardware(gpu) but might be in the software(game)as well.

A:NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support 6.05

Installed these on a friends rig today running a 780 chipset , not had chance to have a good play with them myself but he seems happy with the new touches , i WISH nvidia would release software for custom fan profiles within the control panel , i was kinda hoping that would be in there somewhere , i love riva tuner but its all i use it for , i would prefer to do without it

EDIT.ive just installed them myself , it seems you may be able to set triggers for differant fan speeds relating to GPU temps Ill have a play and report back.....if anyones interested ha ha :P

hi. i have toshiba qosmio f50-125 and i have problem with support of nvidia drivers for this laptop. if i want install official nvidia driver to my OS (Win 7 x86,x64; Win 8.1 x86,x64) it writes me "your product is not supported". i must still have installed drivers from toshiba support pages version 186.91, but the last version of nvidia is 344.41. im writing here because that old driver doesnt support opencl, direct compute and GPGPU acceleration, which is required for flash, new games, everything for work with today (Qosmio is a GAMING POWERFUL LAPTOP COMPUTER!!!). i can not normally using a youtube, because its freezing and its not be accelarated with the still powerful nvidia geforce 9700m gts.

Can you please add the newer version of nvidia driver on the support sites?

Thanks a lot!

I'm new to gaming and just starting to learn, but I could really use some help.

I have a Dell Studio 1558 with an Intel Core i3 CPU and a 64-bit operating system, and I'm wondering if it will support an nvidia gtx 770 graphics card.

I'm not really sure how to tell and most of the explanations I've found have been too technical for me at this point, so I would really appreciate help.

Hello people, is NVIDIA GeForce G100 supported by Windows 7 Ultimate? I have installed windows 7 on my system but my video card only appears as "standard VGA graphics adapter" in device manager. What can i do? thanks

A:NVIDIA GeForce G100 windows 7 support

You probably need to install the drivers for your graphics card.

According to NVIDIA's website, the G100 is an "OEM product". This means that the card is supplied to computer manufacturers (like Dell, HP, Compaq etc) who then sell it as a part of their computers. It can't be sold as a standalone product.

You should visit your computer manufacturer's website and download the driver.

Today I founded a Point Of View 9400 GT 1GB DDR2.

Does this card supports Physx technology? can i use it as a dedicated Physx card?

A:does GeForce 9400 GT support Nvidia Physx?

From what I understand, as long as your mobo supports it you should be able to. You can read what Nvidia says about it for your specific card.

I have a Dell Dimension 9150/XPS 400 and the Windows 10 upgrade says this when I try to get Windows 10:
"This PC can't run Windows 10, It doesn't meet the system requirements.  Here's why Windows 10 can't be installed on this PC.  NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE The display manufacturer hasn't made your display compatible with Windows 10.  Check with the manufacturer for support."
Does anyone know how to get around this error?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

A:Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE, Windows 10 support?

Replace the graphics card.  Nvidia only supports 300? series or higher with windows 10.
