I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi there I am posting here to get understanding nbsp and possibly help for a strange behavior nbsp I have with my Z machine nbsp This machine is running Windows x Pro and it is equipped Quadro Z800 4000 usage very high with with a Nvidia Quadro graphics board The system is basically quiet and not very hot but my issue is that everything nbsp I turn on any kind of graphical nbsp software the system become immediately extremely loud and hot due to the Quadro fan nbsp I understand that obviously the graphical nbsp card is generating heat under heavy nbsp Z800 with Quadro 4000 very high usage load but my issue is that it spike to max power for any kind of graphical nbsp computation nbsp For instance just by browsing the internet any webpage nbsp that has a small Flash animation or anything inside will immediately spike the Q to maximum clock heat production and surely ventilation I ended up disabling nbsp hardware acceleration in Chrome to avoid this very annoying behaviour nbsp Same thing for application like AutoCAD as soon as I turn it on it apparently commands the graphics nbsp card to immediately run at high clock rate Even if I am not drawing at all or just drawing very basic D object the graphics nbsp card appears to be running at maximum capacity nbsp I noticed that this strangely also happens with some completely non-graphical nbsp related tasks For instance I noticed that Visual Studio installation program spikes the GPU usage as well while the IDE itself does not produce this behavior nbsp For your reference please find following an example of idle status of the machine nbsp While the following image shows what's happening after a few minutes of AutoCAD basic drawing just D design nbsp Now the basic question is everything OK here and the behavior nbsp of the card is the one I should expect and I simply misunderstood how it works or is something actually wrong and I should do something to fix it nbsp Thanks for any insights you might provide nbsp Luca

Greetings all. I recently sold my Nvidia Quadro FX4000 256MB AGP graphics card on Ebay to a guy in Germany (I am in UK). Used the standard Ebay description tool which displayed it as PNY NVidia Quadro FX4000 256mb AGP card.

My question is: are there 2 varients of this card ie Nvidia and PNY? The guy is stating that I have sent him an Nvidia Card as opposed to a PNY card and is requesting a refund.

I sold the card in good faith (using the Ebay description tool) thinking that there was only one varient and the picture I took is exactly like the PNY varient too so I thought I was selling one in the same?

I would appreciate your views guys. I think maybe this guy is trying it on?

Many thanks.

I've read Quadro's are stable and highly recommended for CAD, etc workstations (not for gaming) and gaming cards are obviously better for gaming. I am looking to setup two separate dual output video cards in a new machine. It will be used primarily for streaming real time financial info/web surfing (no CAD nor any 3D modeling) with a secondary use of gaming (not important for me to run top games at top resolutions-average is fine). Should I look at getting Quadros or game cards. I am leaning toward the game cards like Nvidia 8600GT, etc as they are lower price and seems like if they can run games fast/no problem-why wouldn't they easily be able to handle business applications? Quadros seem to cost more and can mainly only be used for business apps?

A:Nvidia Quadro vs Nvidia gaming cards

Quadros are for Digital Content Creation and CAD purposes mainly. For you, a pair of 8600GTs would be fine.

I have a Lenovo T61, and the driver that windows automatically installs doesn't work right, and openGL doesn't work. The install package I have from the lenovo site would fix it, but I can't install it because it has to be Windows 2000/XP/7. Any way to get around this? Is there some way to manually install the driver or something without the setup package?

Hi joeey.s.
If all you want to do is split the desktop in half with two different apps open and in view, windows will do that.
Right click the taskbar and select "Tile Windows Horizontally\Vertically", depending on your viewing preference.

I bought a PCI-Express graphics card off eBay because the seller said it was a PCI graphics card. Well, it was only $20 so shipping it back probably would not be worth it. I wanted to put this in my old desktop to make it a bit more useful, but it has AGP, and PCI, not PCI-Express.

I don't see how it could be at all useful to put into my new desktop, as this is a 128 MB graphics card... it does have dual DVI ports though.

A:NVidia Quadro driver help

I think this is a windows seven configuration problem as in a previous post where someone wanted to run 2 displays from 1 card in PCI-e and 1 from a pci slot. Yet would get an error 10 message pci bridge to pci bridge. Yet he could run this setup in XP. My first thought for you is to load the display driver that is showing the PnP display, as well as the drivers for the other 2 displays. but if the graphics chips are not compatible your going to have issues. onboard VGA chip verus Quadro chip displaying at different refresh rates and resolutions. Of course with the new ATI Hd 5870 you can run 3 displays from 1 card 2 dvi and 1 hdmi, all for around 380.00. Anyway at this time I don't think windows seven from all the articals I researched for the other thread is capabel of these kind of 3 display configurations. Sorry I know this is of no value to you but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth . The new Quadro CX card has been designed to deliver 192 CUDA parallel processor cores, a total of 1.5GB of GDDR3 memory with 384-bit memory interface. The memory bandwidth is specified at 76.8GB/s and, as you might expect from such a monster of a card, it comes with some hefty power requirements for a maximum of 150W. The card itself is equipped with a dual-slot cooling system, and provides just one dual link DVI port. Additional specifications include support for NVIDIA's SLI and CUDA technologies, as well as for DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0.

nbsp EDIT nbsp IT TURNS OUT THAT THIS SAME ISSUE EXISTS IN THE W PRO INSTALL ON THE HP XW WORKSTATIONS AND LIKELY OTHERS nbsp SEE THE BOTTOM POST FROM nbsp nbsp I've been working on a project to help another member of this forum and just made a significant breakthrough related to the xw workstations their Storage Controllers driver version and SSD nbsp TRIM support nbsp I discovered this while working with Hard Disk Sentinel Pro support workstations xw ESB2 SSD solution driver Trim version the free trial version nbsp It turns out that the Sentinel nbsp program can probe a SSD and see what parts of the usual special OS components for SSD optimization are installed and most nbsp importantly whether TRIM for the SSD is actually working nbsp In their FAQ they explain that an OS may have the TRIM function supported but that nbsp TRIM may in fact be disabled despite the OS having received the proper command to enable it nbsp This failure is due to either the hardware the storage controller chipset may just nbsp not be able to do it or software the driver version for that chipset may be incapable but a newer driver could work fine nbsp I SSD Trim support driver solution ESB2 xw workstations came across exactly nbsp that driver issue and bet few of us knew this might be the case nbsp The xw xw xw and xw workstations all use the same ESB storage controller chipset and the xw I was working on with an Intel series SSD returned a response to my nbsp probe with Hard Disk SSD Trim support driver solution ESB2 xw workstations Sentinel that TRIM was supported but disabled nbsp Another xw with same SSD reported TRIM was supported and enabled nbsp The first was using ESB drivers older drivers and the second was using my favorite best ESB drivers nbsp I ran the nbsp normal TRIM check command on the first xw nbsp fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify nbsp and it came back which means TRIM is enabled in my OS W Pro nbsp Run that cmd as an administrator using an elevated command prompt nbsp It turns out that response from the OS does not mean nbsp TRIM is actually working it just means that it could work if the hardware and the driver both were sufficient nbsp I then updated my ESB Storage Controllers driver via Device Manager to the -bit version re-ran Hard Disk Sentinal and now have TRIM both supported and enabled nbsp This is a significant finding before with the ESB drivers I could nbsp manually run TRIM from the Intel ToolBox software but now the OS can run TRIM automatically at regular intervals nbsp I'm just nbsp lucky that I had already nbsp settled on that set as my go-to drivers for clean installs long ago nbsp Those by the way nbsp are not what you get from the HP installer DVDs nbsp I got them from Intel nbsp Target to the x folder from Device Manager for the browse method driver update assuming you're using a -bit OS nbsp Note the arrows below with the pics showing a clone build onto a HDD from a HDD source image then nbsp a clone build onto a SSD from nbsp the HDD source image nbsp with the older drivers and finally a clone build onto a SSD from nbsp the HDD image with those newer drivers installed nbsp Old drivers and note that either Acronis or the OS added the SSD-specific components automatically nbsp Now with the newer drivers nbsp You can use a trial version of Hard Disk Sentinel to confirm whether or not your SSD's TRIM feature nbsp is actually working automatically from the OS and if not then try some newer storage controllers nbsp drivers and check again nbsp I have found Hard Disk Sentinel to be rather intrusive so do not keep it installed other than for this type of testing nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp Solved View Solution

A:SSD Trim support driver solution ESB2 xw workstations

I have been preparing a number of W7Pro64 HP xw workstations by running the W10Pro64 activation procedure, and came across the fact that the standard W10Pro64 install places older Storage Controller drivers into the install that have been found previously in W7Pro64 installs to "support" TRIM but to not have automatic OS-controlled regular SSD TRIM functionality enabled.  It has, instead, been "disabled". It is one thing to run TRIM manually once a month, but you truly should have the OS taking care of that task, and not forgetting. For those HP workstations that use the ESB2 storage controller chipset and BIOS SATA emulation set to "RAID + AHCI" or "RAID" if that other option is not available (the same driver install results, regardless) this is an issue.  I have not investigated up into the ZX00 or ZX20/ZX40 generations yet because they use other chipsets and drivers for this task.  The ESB2 chipset workstations include the xw6400, xw8400, xw6600, xw8600, plus a bunch more not from HP. The W10Pro64 install results in the ESB2 driver installed automatically being 8.6.2.1025 with driver date 8/10/10.  When probed with Hard Disk Sentinel the program detects that SSD TRIM is supported but not enabled: After updating the driver to the more recent 10.0.0.1046 version, dated 9/13/10,  the TRIM functionality for the operating system was both supported and enabled:  I have found Hard Disk Sentinel a valuable tool, but somewhat intrusive, so I only install it for such experiments, and then uninstall. So, the take home message is the same for these workstations running W10Pro64 as it was when they are running under W7Pro64 (see the posts above, from 1/16).  Update to the 10.0.0.1046 version of the ESB2 Storage Controller driver if you want your SSD to be automatically triggered by W10 for TRIM cleanup regularily.  Who remembers to do that manually?

Hello. I have tried everything I could to get Aero to work with my card.
I've had every beta dating back to the 6xxx series of betas, which Aero had worked.
I recently just got Aero to work last night/this morning. Then I shut my computer off and
turned it back on again, only to find that Aero is no longer an option.
Anyone think they can take a stab at how to fix this?
I'll list what I have done:
-Reformatted Windows
-Updated Windows after installing Windows
-Installed the correct/most recent drivers
-Disabled Desktop Window Management Session Manager

Thanks.
Edit: It is a Lenovo ThinkPad R61

This sounds to me like a reporting error. If everything's running fine and faster than before, I'd tend to believe that you're running at the 4x speed and the nView program isn't reading this correctly.

I recently installed an Nvidia Quadro CX card under Windows 7 (risky, I know). Although I'm using the latest drivers from Nvidia, I can't get the second monitor to display through the displayport-to-DVI adapter.

I can swap cables all day long and each monitor works fine with the DVI connector; it's just that nothing is detected when plugged into the second output (displayport).

Has anyone else run into this problem with Windows 7 build 7000?

Thanks,
Buck

Hi all

Thaught I'd make a post of this since I had trouble getting my graphics driver working with build 7264 x64 and the latest 7600 x64 release..

The driver I used earlier was presented on windowsupdate as a
(WDDM Pre-release) (does not show up with build 7264 x64 and latest 7600 x64)

Download this driver -> http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia...24_win7x64.exe

When you extract it you will find a zip archive called: additional_infs.zip
Inside this archive extract the file called: nvlt.inf

Put it with the rest of the files you extracted from the .exe file.

The driver is not digitally signed, but you will at least get your videocard working

A:NVIDIA Quadro K620 2GB Graphics Card

Were you using onboard before? If so, you need to enable discrete GPUs or disable on-board video in the BIOS of the computer. Then it should work. If not, check for any power plugs that have come undone and if that still doesn't work, the card is most likely dead.

After fitting a Nvidia NVS 295 card into my new Advent computer (Foxconn mobo, i5, 8GB RAM) my DELL ULTRASHARP U2711 will not display at its maximum 2560 x1400 res. I can only get 1920. In fact 1920 is the highest selectable in the Nvidia control panel. I let the Nvidia installer set up everything without removing the onboard AVG driver first - I assume it did this automatically? I am using the DVI cable that came with the Dell. What am I doing wrong? I have used the latest Windows7 64bit driver download from Nvidia website.

A:Cant get full 2560 resolution from Nvidia Quadro NVS 295

Hi,
http://www.nvidia.com/docs/IO/68245/...INAL_LoRes.pdf

States here to use 2560 x 1400 you need to use display port.
DisplayPort to DVI-D (Single Link)

>
industry standard cables can be used to
drive digital displays at resolutions up to
1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz
Your monitor has a display port connector. To utilise full resolution you need that.

Is there any way to disable the Quadro 4000m gpu without booting into safe mode? The option to disable it appears in the device manager only when I boot into safe mode. Since I have to disable/re-enable the gpu often, I would much prefer it if I could do it without having to reboot. The system is Elitebook 8760w running Windows 10 x64. I have tried a number of drivers both from HP and Nvidia sites. I have also tried installing only the graphics driver. The result remains the same. No option to disable the GPU in normal mode. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have a dell precision M3800 laptop with the NVIDIA Quadro K1100M graphics card.  It should support 4k @ 60hz but I am only able to get 30hz on an external monitor.  The external monitor is the Sony XBR49x830c which supports 4k @ 60hz 4:4:4.  I am using display port to HDMI 2.0 adapter and this set up works with another laptop so it's not the cables/adapter.
I have the latest drivers for everything, is this graphics card not capable of 4k @60hz?  4k @ 60hz works on the laptop screen so why would it not work for an external display?

I've had occasional BSOD while playing games or running graphics intensive applications (SolidWorks, etc) with my previous AMD graphics card, so I thought I'd try an nVidia instead. I put a Quadro K2000 this morning and now my computer is crashing hourly. The culprit is reported as nvlddmkm.sys for what that's worth.

I believe I have all the latest Windows 8.1 updates and I tried two versions of the nVidia driver, the version "certified" for SolidWorks and now the latest one (340.84).

Any help would be appreciated!

Nathan

Hi Guys,

Im new here so sorry if this message is unclear.

I am working with a confocal miscroscope connected to a PC. Recently the very old graphics card on it blew and I have had a very hard time finding a replacement. I have ordered two direct replacements and each time they have sent a mis-labeled card. From this i gather its very difficult to obtain new nVIDIA Quadro 4 980xgl cards.

I was wondering if there is an alternative card i could use. I think im not bad with computers however my hardware knowledge is lacking. Unfortunatly the comptuer is currently in use (running a 5 hour experiment i do not wish to interup) so i cannot give you the computer hardware details. If this is required I can post later.

It is for a two monitor set up (currently running on only one). If you need any other details, please ask.

Many Thanks for your help

Its hard to find AGP cards these days, especially Quadro cards, since all new cards are PCI-Express. What did they send you?

You may have to try eBay to find a replacement, you can still pick up the same card there: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...DIA+Quadro+4+980xgl&_sacat=See-All-Categories

This is my first time posting so sorry if this is in the wrong section I didn t see one for a rack workstation I ve given a description on my problems below nVidia Quadro Update Video 6000 BIOS for anyone who ll bother helping A few years back I got a refurbished Precision R with dual Quadro s I noticed the driver was outdated and updated it Unfortunately when I did so the driver would crash several times nVidia Quadro 6000 Video BIOS Update a day with no clear indication of why or when It was several months before we figured out what driver was previously on it and reinstalled that It s still running mostly stable However this driver downgrade caused an issue for me I m a gamer and apparently version does not run Frostbite-based games correctly For example Battlefield and Need for Speed The Run both have an invisible floor I d pretty much given up on looking for solutions a couple years ago but yesterday I decided to give it another shot I quickly found a thread on the old Dell TechCenter which you can view here where users had found a solution They had updated the VBIOS to what appears to be version F My current version is so it d make sense that if mine was updated I d be able to update the drivers without them crashing Problem is there are no links to the update on the web at least not that version The closest thing I ve found is on HP s website which you can view here but I get the feeling that s only for HP computers So story over I have two questions First does anyone know if the VBIOS update on HP s site would work on this rig being a Dell and second in the case that the HP drivers wouldn t work would anyone know where or how to get the Dell update

A:nVidia Quadro 6000 Video BIOS Update

No response after a week. To be expected; this is a rare issue, by the looks of it.

I've tried the HP update at this point, via cmd, which simply said "no adapters found that were compatible with this update." Won't do further tests with that, since I don't want to risk anything with the DOS method.
In the wake of the Dell community's help (that's sarcasm), I've been trying to contact people on the thread linked in my previous post - specifically, people who said they could send the update to those who asked for it - to see if they might still have it.

Peace.

My HP Z220 Base Model Convertible Minitower Workstation has HP 1790 motherboard with Inter core i-7 3770 3.4 GHz CPU and Quadro K600 GPU. I want to change my GPU to be able to play games with GPUs above NVIDIA GTX970 (preferably GTX1080). Will it be possible with a suitable PSU upgrade? Is there any issue which I need to know about? I am worried about possible bottlenecks and driver compatibility issues.

I don't recall for certain which nVidia chip my D630 has, or all the chips nVidia mentions in the Quadro line, but as for mine, they recommend using only the vendor (Dell) supplied driver.

With reference to this thread:
vb/topic23018

I have a Quadro FX 3700M card on my workstation for various CAD programs.. I am searching for a way to perform a software or hardware modification so I can play games and run other programs requiring a GeForce card.
Is there any way to possibly run two non-similar graphics cards side by side, or task designated/sharing?
So I could actually run CAD software on the dedicated Quadro, while relying on an externally connected GeForce card for all other media, pics, music, games, etc?
Any other money saving solutions besides buying/building a desktop?
I?m on a 64bit Vista workstation (soon to be Windows 7 or Ubuntu w/ a Windows VirtualBox) 3GHz Intel Quad Core 2 with 4GB RAM from Xi Computers.

Best regards,
Uriah

What are the main differences between a Nvidia Quadro type card (like NVIDIA Quadro FX 370 Video Card - 256MB GDDR2-$109) and the various dual output gaming cards out there (for instance the XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX Video Card 256MB DDR3-$89)? I am contemplating building a new system for stock trading. Nvidia Quadro are used in workstations I know of but gaming cards seem faster and cheaper for same price-I must be missing something? Can you split the outputs of the Nvidia Quadros (ie get 4monitors hooked up to one dual output card with 4 independent windows of streaming data 1each on each monitor?) Thanks in advance...

Hi I ve just purchased two LED monitors to run off my Nvidia Quadro fx I have two operating systems on dual problem Solved: Nvidia Quadro monitor 580 my computer On OS A the dual monitor system works just as it should but on OS B the second monitor RHS is not behaving correctly To describe If I track my mouse pointer on OS A from the left hand side of the left monitor to the right side of the right monitor there is no gap in the middle as soon as the pointer leaves the left monitor it shows up on the right monitor However on Solved: Nvidia Quadro 580 dual monitor problem OS B when I track the mouse pointer across the left screen when it leaves the left monitor it does not show up on the right monitor for some tracking distance about half screen width The result is that in program material which should show up full size in the right hand monitor I only see half the right hand side of it The left hand side of that page is lost in that middle void where the mouse disappears in the tracking example Hard to describe but maybe someone who has experienced this might understand As it all works fine in OS A I know it s not the monitor settings I expect it s a setting I need to change in the Nvidia control panel I ve had a play around with no luck Any help appreciated thanks nbsp

I have no problem using "expended desk top" mode. All windows programs run correctly and can be placed and viewed on either screen.
However attempting to run and view simulatenously a DOS application on one screen and a Win application on the other will only display properly if the DOS application is viewed in the "minimized" mode.
If the DOS application is maximized (Alt+Enter), it seems that my "expended desk top" mode switches to "clone mode". Monitor 1 and 2 now show the same full size DOS screen and this is the problem I would like to resolve.

Is this a hardware/software limitation or am I overlooking something in the set-up to acheive what I am trying to achieve? Any help will be appreciated.

A:NVIDIA Quadro display limitation, DOS & Windows applications

I do believe it is a limitation of the software/hardware. You will have to use that DOS command in a windowed mode. I can't really tell if it's MS or nVidia to blame for that "problem" but you can always try to contact nVidia & tell them about it.

Hi everyone
I already have 3 computers, don't play games but do adobe premiere video editing, no special effects, simple timeine and cut and titles.
I will now start to move around to give some lectures and maybe with video projection, so I'm thinking a lot about connectivity and battery life.
I might do some video editing as well.... so firewire is important but I can get it with a pci card I think.
I've found that devoted video card is better, but expensive.
I've found a second hand Dell 620 with a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M for around $500
http://www.portafixe.com/latitude-d620-p-71.html?language=fr
would it be better than a new Lenovo / Dell with a Laptop Intel GMA X4500 card ???
Anew lenovo/Dell with devoted video card is around $1000
Do I need more power for my use?
And I'm looking for a widescreen model also

What do you think?
Thanks
Guy

@ottman?, welcome to the forum. I suggest going into the Device Manager.  Right click on your adapter and select Update Driver Software / select Search automatically update driver software.  If there is an updated driver it will be found and installed. Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

I bought an HP Envy 860-121 Desktop in April 2016 , and it came with the Nvidia 970GTX gaming card.I told the store from which I bought it, before I ordered it, that I do  not play games, but make a living drawing in graphics.I want to put a different Nvidia card in the computer, because I am not achieving needed finishes with the 970GTX. I found out from Nvidia, that I must have a Quadro Card for graphics, not a gaming card. I purchased on line an Nvidia Quadro 2000. I installed it, but the computer will not start and I get 3 long beeps then 3 short beeps. I have contacted HP to ask what video cards work in my motherboard and they tell me to call Nvidia. Nvidia says to call HP. Does anyone know where you can go to match your Motherboard with Video cards?

I have a T61 (bought in Aug 2007) with Nvidia NVS Quadro 140M. I am consistently having display problems with the screen suddenly going green (?). On restart the BIOS itself shows a corrupted image (half screen blue, half red) and some random characters. This only happens if I use the PC over 15 mins. Once it gets a chance to cool down, it goes back to normal working condition. My warranty expired around one month ago and ever since I am seeing this problem. Can someone suggest what could be going wrong.Thanks.

Hello,

if already the bios sreen is garbled and if a cool system resolves the problem, it seems you have
a faulty Nvida GPU, it´s a G64 Chip in your gfx card and Nvdia´s G64 cannot cope
with normal heat. This problem is known by Nvidia.

I would call Lenovo and tell them your problem.

I have a dell precision M3800 laptop with the quadro 1100M graphics card and the Sony XBR49X830C TV that I'm using as a monitor.  The TV supports 4K @ 60Hz 4:4:4 and I have verified it with another computer.  However, with my M3800 I am only able to get 30Hz, I am using a display adapter to HDMI 2.0 with a HDMI 2.0 cable and have verified that the cable/adapter work at 60 Hz (using another laptop).
The M3800 supports 4K @ 60Hz with it's built in display but I can' t get 60Hz on this external display, is this a limitation of the graphics card or a driver issue?  I have the latest  drivers of everything though,

If l downgrade to the A15 BIOS, then the Quadro card re-appears in Device Manager.

I have a Dell Precision i - HQ CPU GHz GB Ram Windows Pro Sp Nvidia Quadro M M driver version which I purchased as an upgrade for my Precision M Our company has developed and uses a software package that utilises WPF to render D content in an XBAP in Internet Explorer nbsp When I attempt to use this software on the the issues WPF Quadro with 3D NVIDIA Content with M5000M 7710 Dell Precision D content flickers a lot when it is redrawn making it pretty much unusable nbsp From the stats that we can get from our application we can see that the update time for the redraw present is about ms whereas on most other PCs even ones utilising the integrated Intel graphics it is usually about ms Dell Precision 7710 with NVIDIA Quadro M5000M issues with WPF 3D Content nbsp We have used this software on a large number of PCs without experiencing anything this bad which is obviously quite disappointing since the laptop should actually be able to display what we are asking it to without any hassles As far as I can tell all our drivers for everything on this laptop are up to date nbsp We have tried using the NVIDIA control panel to force the laptop to use the High Performance Nvidia Quadro card rather than integrated graphics and it appears to be doing so as we were able to make it display the notification icon in the Dell Precision 7710 with NVIDIA Quadro M5000M issues with WPF 3D Content task bar and that showed that IE was using the Nvidia I have tried tweaking just about every other setting I can think of see I have tried using the Dell Precision Optimiser to select different profiles with no luck nbsp The Dell Precision Optimiser does not actually appear to show the GPU CPU usage or any other stats to do with the GPU which seems odd to me I ran the extended diagnostics tests on the laptop available on the Dell support site I have searched on the net and have found some instances of issues with Nvidia cards and WPF but none of those things that we have found seem to apply to our application nbsp We have desktops in the office with other Nvidia cards where it runs fine the best of all Also the fan on this goes pretty hard at times - harder than I would expect it to nbsp I have tweaked the power settings to make it go less but it still seems to run the fan more than I think it should seems to on my M - or maybe it is just a louder fan So I am just wondering Has anyone out there experienced anything similar nbsp If so any suggestions on how to resolve or things to try would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Hi,
M6700 doesnot show anything on the screen.
here's what i did:
Installed windows 10 in UEFI enabled and Legacy ROM enabled.
After installation, Secure boot.
Blank Screen Now.
Tried reset by removing CMOS battery. no luck
Need Help.
Thanks.

A:Dell M6700 Nvidia Quadro K4000M No display After Secure Boot

So i managed to solve the problem.
There are issues with K4000m running in secure boot. You must not disable legacy boot rom.
If you have no display at all here is the painful solution:
Make sure you can open the notebook and put it back together again. (Use an anti-static band etc). remember the screw type and locations etc. refer to a manual or take it to a technician.
So, you will have top open up the whole laptop. remove the Graphics card, remove the screen connectors and connect the laptop to an external display via d-sub (VGA) port. You have a display now. Go to the BIOS and disable secure boot and enable Legacy boot ROM.
Put back the graphics card and everything is back in place.
Recommended BIOS: A15, Still dont use secure boot.
I think the K4000m did not have an EFI rom boot. So hence no display.
Hope it helps anyone having the same problem.

because i have some 3d drawings work slowly in performance with the existing graphics card.
if so, please provide me by the list of varies upgraded graphics cards based on dell recommendations on my laptop.

Hi,
I searched the forums and the only posts involved the AMD card and I have an Nvidia card.  I couldn't find any information on the K4000M so I called tech support and they told me it was 2560x1600.  But then I found another forum where they said even the K1000M can do 4k.
I hooked up my 4k TV to the HDMI and used the Nvidia custom resolution to set up 3840x2160 at 30 hz and the display works.  The graphics look great, but the text is super fuzzy.  The TV supports 4K at 60Hz, but I'm not sure if the HDMI port on the back of my M6700 supports 60Hz.
Does the HDMI support 60Hz at 4k?  What about the display port?  Any idea why my text is super fuzzy while the graphics are razor sharp?
Thanks,
Ali

A:Precision M6700 Nvidia Quadro K4000M max resolution 4K monitor display port hdmi refresh rate

Hi,
First, I'm going to refer you to this article from Nvidia discussing Ultra 4k Resolution.  The important statement is this:

The current HDMI 1.4 standard only has bandwidth for 4K at 30hz. HDMI 2.0 will add support for 4K at 60Hz. Details should become clearer in late 2013. There are a few TVs on sale today that support 4K @ 30Hz through HDMI.

Now, according to this review and article about the K4000m card specifications, it states that the card has HDMI 1.4 connections, which means it won't, theoretically, handle Ultra 4k resolution at the 60Hz bandwidth.
I also found this on documentation online about the Precision 6700.

The Precision™ M4700 & M6700 incorporates HDMI version 1.4. Features

So, unfortunately, it doesn't sound like that card will support the higher refresh rate needed.
As for Display port

DisplayPort cables are much simpler to define: There’s just one type! The current version, DisplayPort 1.2, delivers enough bandwidth to carry video resolutions of up to 3840 by 2160 pixels at a refresh rate of 60Hz

So Display Port would be a much better option for you, if available.
I hope this answers your questions.

I have Precision T3500 that came with NVidia Quadro FX580 display adapter.
I had issues installing the latest NVidia driver for this card on Windows 7 (the screen would just go blank) but it was working fine with the three years old driver recommended by Dell, and now I am trying to upgrade to Windows 10 and it would automatically install the latest Windows 10 driver for this card that would freeze the system after reboot...
On Dell's support web site it says that Windows 10 is not supported on my system.
Any suggestions how to make Windows 10 work on Precision T3500 with NVidia Quadro FX580?

A:Precision T3500 with NVidia Quadro FX580 issues on Windows 7 and Windows 10 upgrade

The FX580 is a DX9  WDDM 1.0 card.
I have 2006 and 2005 E510's that have been upgraded with Pentium D 915 and 4 gigs of ram and they work Fine with windows 10 once you get at least a Geforce 610  or Radeon HD 5450 or better DX11 wddm 1.3 card.
The FX580 is an ancient vacccum tube card that is not suitable for AERO or Windows 7,8,10
It works with the original WDDM 1.0 Vista Drivers but it will not have WDDM 1.1 or 1.3 drivers.

or am I reading this the wrong way?

It appears to be saying the video card won't support DirectX 8 or 9. Any opinions will be appreciated.

A:nVidia MX 100/200 doesn't support DirectX above 7

That just means that it won't be able to use the special features of DX8 and 9...stuff like vertex shaders, pixel shaders, etc...I'm not sure which features are in which version, but you can install DX8 and 9 with a lower class card, and it will still work fine. It just doesn't have the instructions for the 8/9 built into the card, it only has instructions for 7 and below.

1. It should be.

2. Start with 450Watts but look at the specs for the card to assure the PSU is adequate, may need to go as high as 750Watts.

Hello Everyone,
I am new here, and i need help from senior members i want to buy a new graphic card for my PC. I have heard that it cant run latest Graphic cards which use DDR3 or DDR5 , also what is the relation of power supply wattage with graphic card???
My PC config is
Processor; Intel Core2Duo E7200 (2.53 Ghz)
MotherBoard: Intel DG31 PR
Ram: 2 GB DDR2
Graphic card: Nividia Geforce 9400 GT.

A:Can Intel DG 31 PR support Nvidia Geforce GTS 450 ???

Hello and welcome to the forums, Tarique!

From looking at your desktop's motherboard specifications that are listed on this site by Intel:-

Intel? Desktop Board DG31PR — Technical product specification for DG31PR

Your mother board has a PCI-E x 16 slot which should be able to support the GTS 450.

The only question that remains is whether your PSU (Power Supply Unit) can support the card; what is the wattage of your PSU?

Please check your PSU by opening up your PC's case and having a look at the side of the PSU for the manufacturer's sticker or something that would indicate its specifications.

Don't forget to fill up the rest of your specifications also by following this tutorial:-

I just recently played splinter cell chaos theory on PC, i have a 6800 GT overclocked to 420/1130 and when i have the game playing at shader 3.0 it is slow as hell and i am running this at 1024*768. I barely get 35 FPS, this also happened when i was playin chronicles of riddick which also supports shader 3.0 and my fps was even worse. I dont know if its my pc, software or the card. But if it is the card i dont get why nvidia will put the support for a technology that their current generation of video cards can not handle.

A:Shader 3.0 Support in Nvidia Cards.

it is not necessarily an issue with the shader model 3.0,do you have anything running in the background,do you have aa or af on?also it doesnt have to be the video cards fault for low fps count,it might be becuase of a weak or an unmatched processor to keep up or slower ram.shader model 3.0 is relatively new technology the fault doesnt have to be in the hardware(gpu) but might be in the software(game)as well.

EDIT.ive just installed them myself , it seems you may be able to set triggers for differant fan speeds relating to GPU temps Ill have a play and report back.....if anyones interested ha ha :P

hi. i have toshiba qosmio f50-125 and i have problem with support of nvidia drivers for this laptop. if i want install official nvidia driver to my OS (Win 7 x86,x64; Win 8.1 x86,x64) it writes me "your product is not supported". i must still have installed drivers from toshiba support pages version 186.91, but the last version of nvidia is 344.41. im writing here because that old driver doesnt support opencl, direct compute and GPGPU acceleration, which is required for flash, new games, everything for work with today (Qosmio is a GAMING POWERFUL LAPTOP COMPUTER!!!). i can not normally using a youtube, because its freezing and its not be accelarated with the still powerful nvidia geforce 9700m gts.

Can you please add the newer version of nvidia driver on the support sites?

Hello people, is NVIDIA GeForce G100 supported by Windows 7 Ultimate? I have installed windows 7 on my system but my video card only appears as "standard VGA graphics adapter" in device manager. What can i do? thanks

A:NVIDIA GeForce G100 windows 7 support

Hi!

You probably need to install the drivers for your graphics card.

According to NVIDIA's website, the G100 is an "OEM product". This means that the card is supplied to computer manufacturers (like Dell, HP, Compaq etc) who then sell it as a part of their computers. It can't be sold as a standalone product.

You should visit your computer manufacturer's website and download the driver.
